Well daytime on the boat was really not for Devyn, unless she was inside. She had learned that lesson on some level and figured she should have just known. Likely she would forget it in the end for the next time since such lessons didn't stick with her. Plus who didn't like to feel completely weak and helpless from time to time all because of the sun? No one did. Devyn was still slightly bitter about that whole event but it had happened and she just had to be a bit more careful. It was night time now, so she didn't have to worry about getting sick or feeling weak because of the sun.
The moon didn't give her a power up or anything but she felt a lot better now that she was outside under the moon and the stars then she had felt when she was under the blue sky and bright sun. There was a light breeze, but it didn't bother Devyn at all. It was actually nice; the way the wind was lightly blowing her hair around a little, and kicking up the scent of the sea. It was already pretty strong but the breeze made sure that Devyn was going to smell the mix of salt and the various life forms in the water. "So peaceful." Devyn muttered out loud to herself. It really was a nice night, clear like it had been during the day.
She leaned on the railing, shades tucked on her shirt since she didn't need them now. The sounds of the splashing water against the ship were pretty much the only sounds going on about this hour. She should have been in bed but she could not sleep at this hour no matter how hard she tried. Devyn saw something glow in the water, catching her attention as she leaned forward a little bit to try and get closer to the water. Too bad this was a large ship so getting close to the water was a bit difficult unless you planned on ending up in the water. Her shades apparently wanted that desire as they slipped off her shirt and plummeted towards the water.
"Shit!" Devyn yelled out in a panic as she reached out to grab a hold of them, half of her body over the railing and one hand being all she had to keep her from going completely forward. It was still a pretty difficult position to get up from, but Devyn was confident she could get back up. Too bad she was glaring down at the water as he shades vanished into the depths to be worried about pulling herself up just yet.
