Watching the dead frog on the table in front of her with disgust, Alex turned to look at her lab partner. He was some random blonde dude, whateverhisnamewas. She hadn't cared enough to pay attention to who her lab partner was or what his name was. ''Yeah, no. I ain't touchin' that,'' she expressed with a sigh and pushed her chair away from the table, folding her hands in her lap as she looked away, pursing her lips in an annoyed manner.
There was no chance in hell she was touching that or any other kind of dead animal, reptile, amphibian or whatever the fuck they seemed to sadistically enjoy serving the students for lab assignments. Seriously, who wanted to dissect a fucking frog?
''He's all yours,'' she nodded towards her partner without granting him another gaze. Yep, she was definitely not getting her pretty and clean hands on that dirty, filthy creature. Hopefully her partner, still she had no clue what his name was, was better with dead things than what she was.
And god. The smell. The smell was just so... Horrifying. It made her want to vomit. But what was the point in vomiting when she had no one to vomit on? Seriously, there was no fun in puking when no one got their ego bruised from it. Well, beside herself anyways. ''Ain't got all day, doll-face,'' she let out with a crooked smirk on her lips, ''Better get a move on,''

Matthew twisted his mouth in disgust as he looked down at the dead frog. Who the fuck thought this whole thing was a good idea? Cutting up dead things, great. For sure really helpful in real life situations. And what was even worse was, that his partner, Alexandria, appeared to like the idea of touching that thing as much as him. It seemed to be even a bit worse for her, so he had the bad feeling in the end it would be him anyway. of course. What else had he expected? "I'm good thanks", he said, as she told him the frog was all his and glanced at her for a second. She didn't seem to care about him at all, but for him that was just fine. As long as people ignored him he would have some time for himself without having to deal with any social contacts. The girl started talking again and he crossed his arms in front of his chest: "Please, I'm not gonna stop you." He pointed at the frog and took a step to the side, so she would have enough space to get working. "Believe me, I hate doing that as much as you do"

Cocking her eyebrow at him, Alex finally turned around to fully face him. She planted her elbows on her thighs and rested her chin against the back of her hands, pursing her lips in an amused manner, she opened her mouth to speak, ''Oh dear, you aren't challenging me, are you?'' she cackled with a smirk that didn't quite reach her eyes.
Keeping her greenish, blue eyes locked on him, she cocked her head to the side and sighed, ''Oh well, what can you do with such imbeciles,'' she said to herself and shook her head. Lifting her arm in front of her face, a small fire sparked in the middle of her palm as she started sucking up part of the oxygen within the room, watching the small ball of fire fizzle in her hand, ''No, you are not going to stop me, I'm sure. But the real question still remains; Can I stop you?''
She challenged him with her eyes, the smirk growing wider into something more crooked.

"I didn't mean to...", Matthew took a step back and shook his head. He didn't want trouble, he didn't want trouble at all. Still, being threatened did make him defensive, whether he wanted to or not.
"Look, I have the same right to say no, as you have, so calm down", he raised his hands in order to show he meant no harm, "we could just.. i don't know, skip this assignment?" He looked at her hopefully, trying to make clear he didn't want to pick a fight, but as she started the fire in her hand he couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Believe me, if you burn me i just need to touch you once and you're going to regret that decision…" it was meant as an honest warning, but Matt realised she wouldn't understand it like that by any chance, right after the words had left his mouth. "Seriously, can't we just look for a different solution?", he added, giving his best to save the situation, even though he doubted his best would be enough.

''Aw, how cute,'' Alex said, cocking her head to the side as she studied the face of the boy before her. In normal circumstances, of Alex was a normal girl, she probably would have found him to be quite handsome. But Alex might as well have been asexual as none of this, at this point in her life mattered at all. Not feelings of affection, lust, attraction or even love seemed to be something she could ever feel.
Tossing the small ball of fire back and forth between her palms, she nodded, as if she was actually considering what he was saying. She wasn't. ''Mh-hm, I'm sure, love.'' she said absentmindedly, rolling the tip of her tongue over her lower lip, ''If you touch me, I hope your power reacts quickly enough to save you, so we'll see if I have the time to regret it, won't we,'' If there was anything in this world Alex did not like, it would be to be touched. The second he did, she would be consumed in flames and well, that would probably sting a tad.
As Alex had learned over the years of attending the school, being touched was set her power out of control the most. She didn't know why, or how it worked, she just knew that it worked that way. Her power fed off of her anger, but human touch seemed to create a chain effect of emotions to course through her body and without being able to control herself or her explosive power, her entire being would engulf in flames. It was a hassle, to say the least.
''Or you can be a man about it.'' she said with a smirk and looked up at him, ''But if you prefer, to avoid any damage to the classroom and unneeded detention, we could take this outside? I don't mind, though you're not left with a whole lot of options,''

"Yeah, that's just how I am", Matthew forced himself to grin. Maybe joking it off was a better way to deal with the situation, at leat it was worth a shot. Didn't seem like that after all though. He watched the ball of fire in her hand with raised eyebrows, taking a careful step backwards. "Tust me, my power does react quickly.", he said, shaking his head slowly, "Still i would prefer just leaving it as it is now."
He knew his power would react fast enough to save him, if anything happened. Still, picking a fight was surely not the best way to blend in and depending on how badly she burned him it could become dangerous for her - and even though he couldn't really sympathize with her, he wouldn't want her to get hurt. It was bad enough already that one peron died because of him, he didn't need another person to do the same. However, she did threaten him and maybe having to experience the energy loss of her own attack would make her a bit more careful about picking a fight with another mutant.
"So I should be a man about it?", he frowned, "I actually got the feeling you like to be the tough one." It was more of an observation than an actual provocation, but this time he didn't even mind whether she took it as the one thing or the other. There seemed to be no way solving this problem peacefully anyway, so they might as well deal with it right now.

Keeping her face a void of emotion, Alex just continued to stare at the boy with a droll look, ''I'm sure you would,'' she began dryly, smacking her tongue, ''And if you want to leave it, I suggest you start cutting that knife into that frog,''
Getting hurt, dying and whatever else crap his power could possibly do to her didn't scare her. If anything, feeling pain and anger was something she lived for. Pain and anger was better than feeling nothing at all, no? Heck, she didn't even care if it hurt her pride. She had a knack of getting into fights and getting her ass kicked. But she never gave in. She never surrendered. She'd fight until the fight was over, either by her winning or her being rendered unconscious.
She was reckless. She always had been. And the best part? She didn't even care.
Remaining silent, Alex pushed herself up from her chair and gestured towards the door. There was no point in throwing comments about. If he was going to resist her, they'd might as well fight about it. Or he could give in. Or walk away. Whichever came first.
''After you,'' she gestured slyly and nodded towards the door.

She repeated the order again, but he just shook his head. "No, I won't. I don't see why we can't just leave the frog aside and continue with something else", he pressed his teeth onto each other, trying to hold back his anger. It was no use anyway, giving in on his emotions would make the situation even worse, to say at least.
He looked at her and raisend an eyebrow as she stood up, pointing to the door. He knew what she wanted, but he didn't move. Why would he? Whatever happened, it wouldn't be good for neither him nor her, so what was the point.
"I'm not going anywhere.", he said calmly, looking her straight in the eyes, "We should just leave it as it is and go on with the next task"
