Reading the printed words of the hardback she held, Mina sighed as she sat in one of the chairs in the library. She would've been in her dormitory, but her 'dorm-mates' were so fucking noisy and she couldn't deal with all of their laughter and chatting. It really drilled a hole in her head. Like she wanted to do to their heads. She recalled one of the main things her mother had said all those years ago - "It won't hurt you to try and make friends." Yeah, that was true. It wouldn't hurt her. The other people, now that was another story...
Hmm... she enjoyed brooding. This was one of the times in the day where she wasn't earning herself a detention, or scaring someone half to death. Philomena crossed her legs and let out another sigh, head resting on the hand at the end of her bent elbow. Some people knew better than to try talking to her, they knew of the consequences. It wasn't that-
Flick.
-she hated people... wait, no, she hated people alright. Especially the ignorant sods that skipped around Bellefonte, bothering themselves with gossip and the hottest trends. What was the actual point? Mina blinked her long lashes slowly, at least she was being left alone. That was something she didn't mind at all.

Twirling into the library with a skip in her step, humming softly to herself as she went, making sure to greet everyone warmly but quietly that see saw.
Princess Tess couldn't wait to she what books she could find in the colonies (US) that might not have made it to her beloved home, England. Tiara perched perfectly on her head, she took in the sights of the grand looking library, sure maybe it wasn't as ornate as she is used to, but it was grand for all the wonder and knowledge it contained within its books.
She paused for a moment see a girl setting alone reading a book, it was a roommate she hadn't met yet, This would not do, she couldn't wait to be friends with here. Gliding (OOC: not really gliding) over to here majestically, she greeted her new roommate warmly
"Hello there!, Pardon my interruption but I believe we may be new roommates, and we haven't had formal introductions, I'm new here and my name is Princess Della Contessa whats yours?" as she spoke she put a hand warmly on her new roommates arm, in a friendly welcoming sort of way. "So how long have you been at this school?" she asked sweetly.
She was radiating with positive energy and emotions like a sun to any empaths that might be in the room, but even people with normal senses can feel the surplus of good emotions and a decrease in hostel or negative emotion when close to her.
Mina had just said, she hated those stupid, ditzy, air-headed loons that skipped around Bellefonte, and one had just entered the room, literally demonstrating her point. She let out an exasperated sigh and focused back on the writing in her lap. That blondie didn't deserve any of her-
Flick.
-attention. She might've recognized that this girl was actually one of her dorm-mates, if she had every bothered to introduce herself. Or notice the fact that they existed. All they were to Mina was noise pollution.
"Hello there!"
Mina felt a wave of happiness wash over her being, for some reason. It made her uncomfortable, and she didn't like it. Her eyesight flicked up and... oh great, the skipping pixie. She jolted at the touch of the girl, jerking her arm away as soon as her hand made contact, and almost snorted at her name, Princess Della Contessa, who did she think she was? Some Disney princess? "Mina." she replied in a cold voice, scowling up at her from the chair. She made no attempt to put her book away or be friendly, even if this... Della seemed to let off a warm glow that made her feel happier... she didn't like her emotions being toyed with! Her fists became tight and she became tense, wondering why this girl would even try to make conversation with someone so... uninviting as herself.
Mina stood up quickly and walked a few steps away, making her distance. She wasn't interested in making friends, or conversation. The only good thing she expected to come out of this was that she knew the girl's name now, so she could shout at her without having to make up some brash insult... she was still likely to insult her all the same though. "None of your fucking business." she answered sharply, almost spitting. "Now, Princess, I suggest you turn around and leave." Before I do something I'll get detention for.
A Princess? Shiloh looked up from the book he had his nose buried in. Was she actually a Princess? Woah...she looked like one that was for sure. The boy looked down at his book and marked the page, closing it and looked back up at the girl. Oh she was talking to her roommate, that was nice of her. He wondered for a moment who his roommates were and when he'd meet them.
The boy visibly flinched as he heard the roommate curse at the Princess. Why was she being so rude? The Princess was only introducing herself...were people like that here? Just plain rude? Huh. And what did she mean by 'turn around and leave?' Was she gunna hurt the Princess? Shiloh arose from his seat, not sure why he did that though. What was he gunna do? Nothing, right. Instead he was just awkwardly standing in the library staring at the two girls.

"Mina."
Picking up on the coldness of her voice and the fact she jerked away from Tess, the Princess gave her a sympathetic smile in a, i didn't mean to make you uncomfortable sort of look.
"None of your fucking business."
"Now, Princess, I suggest you turn around and leave."
Clutching her chest with one hand in surprise when Mina jumped up from the table, Princess Tess resisted running over to the girl to comfort her, not scared in the least at her outburst, instead standing her ground, knowing with her diplomatic experience that some bridges take longer than other to build but all can be built with enough time and effort.
"Please dear Mina, I did not mean to offend you, and if I have some how wronged you please let me know how i can make amends!" Replied Princess Tess, with genuine concern poured into each world as she spoke, like the very idea that she had somehow unknowingly wronged a person she has never met was a terrible deed to have done.
Princess Tess noticed out of the corner of her eye the brave young gentleman standing up to come to her defense, she would have to remember to thank him in a moment knowing already the two would become good friends, just like she hoped her and Mina will be too.
Though she was fairly confident that Mina wouldn't be able to hurt her through the protection her powers provided her, she made sure she was close enough to the young man so that he would be protected from any hostile actions taken by Mina as well. Though she hoped with all her heart for Mina's own sake that she didn't try anything, knowing Mina would just wind up hurting herself some how, due to the Princess's powers causing hostile actions to backfire on the user.
"Please may we just sit down and talk calmly?, I promise I will listen to all grievances you have against me with a open mind and an open heart. I think if you get to know me you will be pleasantly surprised to find I am of a most agreeable sort of person. Said Princess Tess sweetly and meaning every ward of it.
Mina could've just burst out into laughter right there and then - this girl was so melodramatic. She even doubted the fact that she was a princess of some sort; maybe she was some kind of uppity heiress to a company of some sort, or was just absolutely loopy in the head.
And that voice... that voice of hers just unscrewed her - she hated it. It sounded genuine, but the accent wasn't helping Tess at all, making Mina even more aggravated, "You can make amends by walking away and not talking to me again." She stated, scowling. She felt the tips of her hair become wisping shadow, something that commonly happened when she was uncomfortable or angry, which she was both of right now.
Someone stood up - she saw it in her peripheral vision. She would bother him later, but he didn't go unnoticed - Mina sent a sideways glare at him to show whoever it was that she wasn't going to ignore him, but she was busy as it was.
"HA!" Mina let herself burst out a laugh, but still holding a cold look across her features, "As if I want to be talking to some... deluded fairy." If Tess wasn't about to leave, Mina was. She began walking to the shelves of the library - to a deeper area where there would hardly be a single person. As she did, she passed by the 'brave' boy and her mind constructed and idea - to freak him out, to give him the same message she'd been trying to give to Miss. Perfect over there. As she passed, she made more of her hair into shadows, and they twisted and curled in front of and around the boy's face as she passed - from her experience, the shadows were pretty suffocating, and it wasn't violent, really. Just... unfortunate for anyone who ran into it.
She placed her book on a nearby shelf (the librarian could move it if he had a problem with it), and slunk into a shadow as she turned the corner, flat against the ground. Her silhouette ran along the books as she walked, a silent, unknown indifferentness on her features.
Shiloh froze whenever the mean girl glared at him. Oh god, what had he gotten himself into? How was he going to do this? This whole people with powers thing, it just...it just seemed like a bad idea to have angry people with powers. That was a recipe for destruction. Shiloh snapped back into reality whenever he heard her call the Princess a fairy. Fairy? Was that what she was? That would be a pretty neat power, the kid always loved fairies...even if they could be downright mean sometimes.
Oh god, Mina was walking towards him now. 'Please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me.' He chanted in his mind. Shiloh thought he was in the clear until her hair covered his face. What was going on!? Why couldn't he breathe?! What was only a few seconds felt like an entirety to Shiloh, her hair was suffacating him. Finally, she passed by and Shiloh was left grabbing at his throat, a look of fear in his eyes. Why had he even stood up? Now...now he had gotten attacked for it.

Seeing Mina reaction to her words and what she did to the poor guy that stood up for Tess's defense, Princess Tess thought that maybe Mina isn't the kind of person she would wan't to be friends with. Though that thought was quickly pushed out of her mind, Mina must just be acting out, she didn't think Mina was evil just in a dark place. A place Princess Tess hoped to help guide he out of sooner or later.
Rushing over to the poor man, Princess Tess laid her hand lightly on the boy's shoulder. "Are you ok? Thank you good man for standing up for me. My full name is Her Royal Highness Princess Della Contessa Amelia of York, but I insist you call me Princess Tess. May I inquire as to yours? I owe you a debt good gentleman and thank you again for your courage."
When the Princess rushed over to him an immediate blush crossed his face. "Oh, yeah...I...uh...I'm okay. Promise." He said, giving her the best smile he could manage at that moment. "I really didn't do anything...literally all I did was...stand up." Shiloh was sure she meant more than just actually standing up. "I've never met a Princess before..." Oh wait! Weren't you supposed to now to a Princess? Oh crap! Shiloh backed up a few feet and gave her a bow, mocking the actions he had seen on movies. "It's...uh...it's an honor Princess Tess." The boy stood back up and gave her a smile. "Shiloh...Shiloh Walker. You really don't owe me, I didn't do anything..."
