”Chrysanthemum? Where are you?” Was all that could be heard coming out of room 301 as the telepath inside was starting to go into something of a small panic. None of her other roommates here in at the moment so she wasn't sure that she could really ask them for help. Not to mention, she wasn't exactly the most talkative even where they were involved. Hell, Soph wasn't even sure who all her roommates were, knowing only what they looked like. But that didn't quite matter at the moment.
The white noise she usually heard didn't see to have any sort of effect on her at this second, too much worry filling her as she fumbled through every single item in her room. How had this happened? Who had let her out? Finding that the ferret wasn't anywhere in her room, she looked over at the big cage in the corner of her room once again. Nothing, not even a clue as to where she had gone left in it. All that she saw was the little 'door' was opened just a crack, having probably swung closed after Chrysanthemum wiggled her way out.
Sophie collapsed against her bed, eyes staring up at the ceiling as she started trying to get a handle on her breathing. Each breathe seemed to come in as a sort of exasperated gasp. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest like it usually did when she was going into a panic attack and it was starting to get harder and harder to breathe. As the attack started to worsen, the white noise she had been so eagerly able to ignore moments before that was now pounding in her head, which seemed to just add insult to injury.
'Whatamigoingtodowhatamigoingtodowhatamigoingtodo,' she was thinking at what would have been said so quickly, the words would have started to merge together. While she prayed to whatever deity sat up there all high and mighty that her sister could hear her and would coming running to her rescue, she knew it was a futile dream. She just barely heard the click of the door leading to her dorm opening and tried to sit up to investigate but couldn't. Small tears were starting to stream down the sides of her face. This couldn't be happening to her, it couldn't be. How could she lose her only good friend? While she couldn't manage much but the sound of muffled sobs, she forced herself to send a single thought to whomever had entered the dorm. ”Help...”
