"That's right!" Frank declared, slapping a card onto the counter as she stared down the cashier on the other side. She pointed with her other finger, clearly thinking she was pointing at the menu and clearly pointing in nearly the opposite direction. "I want every dessert on the menu. Just start at the top," she raised her hand, "and keep going aaaaaaaaaaaaall the way down," Frank dragged her hand down as she said the word, nodding decisively.
The cashier blinked.
Frank tapped the card. "And don't worry, I can totes pay for it. This," she flashed it, "is my super special meal credit card. It's got, like, a ten thousand dollar balance on it or something," she looked at it, then shrugged. "I dunno: I only hit it, like, the one time I flew in a few crates of energy drink from Japan. They make the best energy drinks," Frank sighed and looked dreamily for a few moments. "Well, chop chop! Oh, aaaaand, you!" She turned and pointed. "Yes, you, no, not you," she gestured and pointed, "that person, there, you!" Frank grinned wide. "Wanna try every dessert on the menu with me? I'm buying~"
The last came out in a sing-song as Frank did a little dance with her credit card, before flourishing it and handing it over to the cashier to begin ringing up the order.

His friends liked coffee or at least most of them. The bad thing was that he thought it tasted like bitter dish water. Every time they took him to Cool Beans he tried everything to get them to change their minds, or to leave as soon as possible. Then they all found out that the place made the best hot cocoa! They even put the tiny marshmellows in them. He was in the line waiting to order his fifth one from getting there twenty minutes ago.
The girl in front of him a few places in like was being very energetic and demanding. He liked energetic it made him energetic. Maybe it was the hot cocoa but he was nearly bouncing on the balls of his feet waiting for her to complete her order. He stared in the direction she was pointing wondering what was so important over there. People only pointed if something was important. But once again he really wasn't getting it.
Then a finger was pointed at him or he thought it was at him. Joey even looked behind him to make sure though him basically being a human mountain there would've been no way for her to point at someone behind him. "Dessert? I like chocolate." He took a few steps forward pointing a finger at himself to make sure she was really talking to him. Since he often got things confused. "And bananas. I like bananas. Ooh! Do they have anything with bananas and chocolate?!"
Yes, there was clapping at the idea. And a little bit of jumping.

"That's because chocolate is awesome!" Frank agreed. She slapped the counter and turned. "And so are bananas! I think there's stuff with both of them,' she looked at the people gathering up their orders, pleased to see some nodding. "Ah, see! Stuff involving chocolate and bananas! They probably have a---aaaaaah!" Frank ended up hopping up and down as the cashier immediately produced chocolate covered bananas, made right on site.
Frank eagerly grabbed a couple for herself and a few more extended toward her new friend. "here ya go, buddy!" she said, nodding. "We can totes start with this and then work our way through the menu! You're big and I'm hungry, so this shouldn't be a problem for us," Frank nodded confidently then took a massive bite out of one of her bananas. "MM, this is really good," she said around the mouthful, not struggling at all with the whole eating and talking thing.

"Yeeeeah! Chocolate is way awesome!" He pumped his fist in the air face alight with her enthusiasm. Finally someone who got as stoked about bananas as he did! And didn't make dirty jokes about it. The arrival of multiple dishes that favored chocolate and bananas, and even some with both. She was hopping oh, oh, oh she was hopping! Joey started hopping with her so very excited and he had no clue why.
Oh, right. Bananas.
Joey took the offered banana and shoved nearly all of it in his mouth. Chewing quickly then swallowing hard he nodded smiling. "I am big!" Yes, agreeing was about all he was able to contribute to the conversation at the moment. "Not a problem. No problems here."
He'd forgotten about his cocoa and that he'd come here with a group of friends. But then again he tended to get distracted like this fairly often so it wouldn't be like they'd get mad. They'd noticed and moved on already. Joey shoved the rest of his chocolate banana into his mouth careful not to bite down on the stick like he usually did.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Mar 1, 2015 1:23:21 GMT -6
"I know!" said Frank, still talking around the stick. "It's like, one of the best things in the world. I don't know if I'm quite into this banana thing though, but it's still pretty tasty," Frank, who didn't have to worry about the stick, simply chomped her way through the entire treat, consuming the wood without even slowing down in the slightest. Her new companion seemed to be not only quite large and quite handsome, but also quite into this whole thing, which just had Frank nodded and practically squirming.
She giggled as she watched him shoving the banana in his mouth. "Careful! We got lots of stuff to eat and you don't wanna break your mouth or something," Frank was already working her way through a chocolate covered muffin, "mm, I think they got a chocolate covered banana one here somewhere too... or we could make one," Frank looked over the gathered desserts, "we could even try combining, like, all these desserts into something awesome," Frank nodded her head slowly, clearly considering this quite seriously.
Then she realized that she had neglected something very important: "I'm Frank, by the way," she said, sticking a hand out over the table, "I don't know if you know me or not. I think I've seen you before though: you play football, right? Hard to forget the big, awesome, cute guy who does that," Frank bobbed her head at the last bit, adding another little giggle.

Wait did she just eat the stick? "My momma told me not to do that." He pointed at her as she ate the stick. "Told me it'd give my colon splinters." Not that Joey knew what a colon was, but it sounded like a horrible thing to happen to a person. That and breaking his mouth! "No! I don't want to break my mouth. But I eat like a lot. I mean a lot."
He stared at the cleaned off stick he was the tiniest bit sad that it was gone. Not sure what do to with the stick though he stuck it into his empty cup. Which made him remember he wanted more cocoa.
"Cocoa!" Joey stepped up to order he glanced back at her as she talked about desserts and bananas. Then one of the greatest ideas ever came out of his new friend's mouth. "Combine them! I bet we could combine all of them! All of the desserts!" This was so awesome he couldn't wait to combine foods. No one let him do that they all thought it was gross.
Hot drink in hand he suddenly grew very still and very slowly made his way toward an empty table. He couldn't look anywhere but the cup and stopped talking. Once he reached the table he set the cup down and was brought back to life. "I'm Joey!" Moving to hug her he froze when he noticed she was still eating. "This is when I normally hug people..." He was lost as to what to do now. He was also missing that she was complementing him, because he was stuck with his arms up for a hug and not sure what to do with them.

"Oh, it's okay: that's my special talent," Frank replied, waving a hand. She knew she could sort of say that, since Joey did look familiar and all, but she didn't want to be all "I'm a mutant!" since people just sort of frowned on that in general what with all the bad press and potential for mobs with torches. "You probably shouldn't eat them though, especially not if your mom told you not to, 'cuz moms are usually right about that sort of thing."
Frank nodded solemnly a few times before tossing away the last few bits of the skewer, aiming for the trash can and nailing it. The poor barristas were still gathering most of the desserts, pulling stuff from cases and making a few on hand and whatnot. they were busy, but they didn't seem put out or bothered or anything. Frank and Joey appeared to be entertaining them, if anything. One quickly produced a mug of hot cocoa, placing it before Joey.
"On the tab!" Frank declared, gesturing at the person and nodding. "And we should, like, break them in half, the treats," Frank said, making splitting motions with her hands, "and then eat the half without mixing, so we know what's good, then mix the others," Frank nodded and then gathered up a few armfuls of stuff to carry to the table after Joey. She carefully let the armful roll onto the table.
"I love hugs!" Frank practically yelled, bounding forward and wrapping Joey in a fairly tight one. "You're really muscular," she said, looking up at him, "and big. I'm kinda squishy and normal sized. Well," she giggled, "a bit curvy, but that's okay," Frank thought that most girls were too skinny anyway. She'd rather eat all the cupcakes she want then squeeze into skinny jeans anyway.

"Mom's are right about everything. My momma said so." He nodded sagely setting aside the empty cup with a stick. Then 'special talent' clicked in his head and Joey almost did his usual loud exclaimation. But that was something his teachers got into his head. To not yell about one's powers. So instead-
"That is so cool! I bet lots of girls wish they could do that and look as awesome as you do." He gestured at all of her before returning to the task at hand: desserts. There were just so many of them. He had no idea that the coffee shop had this many desserts, but now that he did he'd totally be coming back more often. "Tab? Ah, man thanks!"
Free cocoa? Best day ever.
Blinking he stared at her for a moment in complete awe. "Splitting them up. Man you're like the smartest person I know." He was seriously impressed with this girl. She could eat more than he could, which was awesome. She paid for stuff, which was so great. And she was as enthusiastic about life as him. Now she was brilliant? "If you get any more awesome I might have to love you forever."
Joey stared at the massive amount of yummy-tastic looking food for a second arms still up. Then the hugs. "HUGS! YES!" He lifted her a bit finding it quite pleasant, but he loved hugs. "I like squishy. Hard people aren't as fun to hug. And super skinny people make me worried I'm gonna break 'em." Sitting down he grabbed a cream stuffed thingie and shoved it into his mouth. "Sides like I said you look awesome, and don't give a hug like an old lady. Which is totally cool."

Frank nodded. "This is most definitely true facts," she agreed in her most solemn of voices. "Though I'm not sure if my mom's that great, but she's more a mother than a mom," Frank wrinkled her nose, "it's a weird difference, but you'd totally get it when she met her."
Frank nodded and was already focusing on the desserts and all. Yes, she was definitely fine with putting them on her tab. Her tab could probably have purchased the entire shop and had a bit of credit leftover to buy the street outside too, after all, and if she wasn't going to use it on awesome people like this, then what was the point?
"I am pretty brilliant," Frank agreed, bobbing, "But it was your idea to combine them and all, so we've gotta see if you're not smarterer than even I," Frank nodded, "and you will love me! It's pretty much how it works."
And there was more nodding and then the hugging and they seemed to be doing just fine with the hugging. Frank giggled as Joey insisted that squishy was better than skinny. "That's what I keep telling people! But there was this time when I was all skinny and stuff: I'd been starved by bad people who wanted to hurt me for stupid reasons," Frank shifted and plunked down next to Joey (because why not?). "I'M Frank, by the way, Frank Cox, and we're obviously new best friends," She stuck a hand out for the shaking, while reaching with the other to begin stuffing desserts into her mouth. That's why she had two hands, after all.
Post by Joey Flamick on Mar 21, 2015 22:51:07 GMT -6
The serious tone her voice took on kind of freaked him out a little and he shifted uncomfortably. The shift was just too eeh to him, but then again that didn't make much sense either. The difference between a mom and a mother also didn't make any sense. He didn't like being confused so with a shrug he went back to eating because that made all the sense.
Glad that they weren't drifting off toward gloomy topics Joey scanned the vast amount of deserts. Had he died and gone to heaven to go with the old cliche. No heaven would have puppies and there weren't any puppies here. If there had been it would have been heaven for sure. "Combining them was my idea?" He totally didn't remember saying anything that remotely intelligent. "I'm not smarterer that anybody so I think you're safe."
Some might think that he was slamming himself or downing himself, but it was just the plain truth. The big goof knew he was pretty much a rock that talked, but he was okay with that. Really smart people tended to seem unhappy or overly stressed. While he was amazingly happy like all the time. He preferred happiness to smartness.
Mouth now filled with pastry he frowned at bit at the starving comment. Joey took her hand hesitantly chewing and swallowing slowly, but that tiny frown quickly turned the right direction. "Doing bad things to people isn't stupid it's selfish. I do stupid stuff all the time and I don't hurt anybody." He grinned and shook her hand with his large callused one. "Nice to meet you best friend Frank. I'm Joey!"
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Mar 22, 2015 20:16:26 GMT -6
"Pff, being smart is overrated. Being happy is way more important," Frank insisted, nodding. "Well, that and being good and all, but you're pretty nice overall, so I'm betting that you're a good guy."
Frank nodded, wholly convinced that her ability to judge people (i.e. see the best in somewhere no matter what) was still working as strongly as ever. And she wasn't going to argue the smart thing, not until she got to know about Joey. Well, except for one bit: "And you just think differently than everyone else: that doesn't make you worse. It just makes you different!"
Frank nodded again, then extended her hand to take Joey's in hers. There was some enthusiastic pumping (likely on both sides) and some nodding, and then Frank was turning back to their table.
"Right, Joey!" Frank said, slapping. "it's time to do the eating!" They did have a few things to eat still, and the barista was already coming with what appeared to be a tray filled with stuff. "Ooooh, what should we try first?" Frank started bobbing about, looking at everything and literally licking her lips and clapping her hands in sheer anticipation.

"Yes! I agree completely!" He slammed a fist on the table shaking things a bit, but luckily it was a well built table. Cringing a bit he told himself to chill he didn't want to break anything today. It was a personal goal he had to set every day. "Just living like my momma and dad taught me to live."
With a small shrug he took a drink of his cocoa. His parents had taught him values and the meaning of hard work. Some kids didn't understand that, some were spoiled or didn't have a good home life. Joey was lucky in that regards and he knew it. "Worse? Eh, I don't mind being not so smart. If I ever get too confused I can ask for help." Though he hated doing so it was better than messing things up. 'Do it right the first time so you don't have to clean up your mess the second time' his dad always said.
She hugged and didn't give a handshake like a limp fish she was getting better by the second. Definitely someone he could hang out with again! There was more food coming and he nearly dropped his jaw to the floor. "That's a lot." Licking his fingers he looked at all the food and grinned lopsidedly. "That one has good tasting gooey stuff in it." Joey pointed at the bitten into bit of pastry oozing slowly with cream.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Mar 22, 2015 22:01:28 GMT -6
Frank let out a little yelp as Joey hit the table, then giggled at his reaction. "We are so gonna be friends," She insisted, nodding her head a few more times and grinning very widely.
It didn't seem as though she even needed to give him the advice, which just had her head bobbing all the more. "yes, exactly, way to go!" She slapped the table and probably would have gone for the hi-five, but they were already doing the handshake thing and Frank could see him hitting her hard not on purpose but all excited and not knowing his own strength and all that good stuff. "Though maybe he could hold his hand and I could smack it..." Frank wondered aloud, tilting her head to the side as she considered it, talking slowly as people do when they work through things.
Okay, time for foods. Joey was pointing at one, and Frank nodded her head in agreement (again). "Right, we start with the gooey one!" she agreed. She scooped up a pair, grabbing one for herself and handing the other off to Joey. "On three!" she said, holding up her hand, one finger outstretched. "one... two..." she held up another. "C'mon, say it with me! Aaaaaand," she moved to bite, saying "three" at the same time, the word only slightly garbled by the food eating.
Post by Joey Flamick on Mar 24, 2015 22:11:32 GMT -6
The yelp made him flinch a bit but his smile returned when she giggled. He had to watch it with that he didn't want her to think he was violent and would hurt her. Violence wasn't really his thing yes, he liked to hit things, not people. Then again if the person really deserved it he might resort to a tiny bit. Mostly he just wanted to hug people. "I thought you already decided we were gonna be friends?" Did he confuse that? That wouldn't be new.
When she slapped the table his smile hit 6,000 watts and he couldn't help it but hit the table again. Open handed this time not with his fist, so it wasn't nearly as bad. But then she looked confused or thinking? He could never tell the difference between when people were thinking and confused because honestly he didn't think things through much. "You want me to hold my hand?"
Joey leaned in a bit trying to hear her to see if she said more. Because honestly he was very confused right now. Why would he hold his own hand? Why would she want to smack it? Did he do something wrong? Sometimes his mom would smack the back of his hand if he tried for sweets before dinner.
Back to food! "Gooey!" He loved gooey middles. Grabbing the one he'd already started and sat anxiously as she counted down. Leg jiggling he yelled the word "Three!" Then shoved nearly the entire rest of the pastry into his mouth.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Mar 24, 2015 22:41:13 GMT -6
"Well, duh, and now I'm deciding it again!" Frank insisted. Who cared about the logic involved there? Or, well, more technically, the utter lack of logic. Frank certainly didn't mind, and Joey really didn't have much choice in the matter. Frank was already venturing on, moving through her musing (and momentarily ignoring Joey's confused statements in the process) to get out the gooey ones and get things ready.
one. two.
GOOEY!
Three!
And Frank shoved a pastry into her mouth, eating nearly the whole thing. Bits of whatever was inside squirted out, and Frank let out a squeal, reaching up to try and catch them with fingers. That meant being kind of careful, since unlike most people, Frank actually eating her fingers was something she had to be careful of and be watchful for. Of course, not that such worries stopped her from talking:
"This is so nummy!" she said, spitting bits of gooey creme out onto the table. Her words didn't slur or get congested or anything though: they were still perfectly understandable. Frank swallowed, her tongue lolling out. "Did you like yours?" she asked, tilting her head, "or, like, was that too creamy, do you think? I thought it was really good, but, like, it might be too creamy for a guy. I don't think most guys like eating long things that spew creme and stuff. Though maybe they would if they tried it. Oh, this one looks like chocolate!"
She lunged for what looked like the chocolate version of what she'd just eaten, her food-encrusted grin wide.
