Everything was just happening so fast, it was nearly impossible to wrap her mind around every single detail that was going on in the current situation. However, the situation was a fire that seemed to be spreading through the school faster than anything she had ever seen. To think, just a few moments before, Vera and her team were close to victory against the students from the La Roux Academy. Even though they had lost the first challenge, they had nagged the last two as if it was a piece of cake. And while the fourth and final challenge was getting ready to begin, she could hear a few people scream out about how there was a fire. Everyone panicked, ran in different directions, it was just pure chaos. By the time Vera was able to get to her phone, she received a text from Elsa that had been forwarded from Humphries to the rest of the Security Staff and Squad.
Then orders were sent out.
Which was why Vera now found herself within the South Wing of the Academy. She knew there would still be students and staff who didn't partake in the competition and who were inside for one reason or another. To think that the fires would spread so quickly to the other Wings, was upsetting because while she knew the others were probably handling the fires in the other areas, she couldn't help but to think about the much younger students who had no idea what to do.
She hurried down the hall in the opposite direction of where everyone else ran. "Keep moving! Go!" The telekinetic screamed at them as she hurried down the hall further. "Everyone to the nearest exits! Then make your way to the courtyard and stay as far away from the building as you can!" The further down she went, the hotter it got and she was sure there were flames right around the corner. The only problem was breathing and seeing in this mess. She would be ready to help put out the flames once given the cue, but as for right now, she had to make sure everyone was out.
Not to mention the dangerous of the fire growing and reaching a few of the janitor and maintenance closets which had most of the chemicals inside, as well as the locked rooms that had the gas tanks, electric units, water pumps, and heaters that kept the school running. Lifting her shirt to cover her mouth and nose from the smoke, she tried to shout to to anyone else who could have possibly been straggling along.
