The IMAC Events Have Started!

Alright, so as many people have noticed, the IMAC events have started. They're essentially small group events and all that stuff. The main thread (linked in the above words) has things covered. However, less covered is all the organization to getting our characters into groups and getting them out there.

Hence this thread.

This is a thread to post in and discuss OoC if you want to get a group together for the IC events. This way you can make certain to have a solid team going forward or what have you. Now, the school's can technically force someone if you want to go that route, though it's far more likely that volunteers will step up. If you're on the Security Squad, you're probably expected to either participate or be involved.

So here's the setups and groups:

Task One: Mental Challenge

(once we get some groups going, we'll hash out details about the FIRE, but that's a lot less organized)

Alrighty, I want to get my chars in groups and start participating.

For task one, I've got...

Frank. Crazy, thinks outside the box, full of energy.

No, seriously, she wants in, and her way of thinking might work. Or something. She just really wants to plaaaaaay.


For task two, I've got...

Beau. team player, athletic, bit lackadaisical
Demi. bada**, will plow through things, difficult to work with
RJ. highly athletic, especially agile, huge ham

All of whom have their own strengths and what have you. I'm game for pairing them up or throwing them in any interested groups.

(Zoe, Tim, Charity, Elsa, Humphries and Priya will all be about for fire threads when that gets started)

[Olivia Chance]

For task one, I have Olivia Chance. She's read books and listened to music all her life and mental challenges are her forte. She's calm and patient for the most part.

For task two, I have Cade Atkinson. He gets very suddenly sleepy sometimes, but he will try to stay awake as he really wants to do this. A part of staff as a recruiter, he's actually a college student. Despite his sleepy disposition, he's done sports all his life and is very athletic. He also loves strategizing for the best way something can be one by himself.

*cracks knuckles*

Metal Challenge:
I have Seiji and Erin that will be participating in this event. Seiji is completely open to be on a team and will use his brains and his snakes more then likely for the challenge, so hopefully people pared with him can handle snakes XD.

As for Erin, I know that she planned on inviting Lydia to do the challenge with her, but of course more people to the team are welcome. That and that fact she is more then likely going to use her power to cheat off of the other teams.

Physical Challenge:
Devyn, Casper/Jasper, and possibly Roxana will be participating in this event. Devyn likes physical activity so is pretty much all over this activity and willing to be on a team with anyone with the aim to win.

The twins also like physical activity but they are both more interested in impressing the ladies and gents out there that are participating or just checking it out. They are willing to team up with anyone.

~When the fire thread get started up Roxana will most certainly be there helping handle stuff among other things. Casper, Jasper, and Devyn will also be there for obvious reasons.~

I have characters who could technically be used for both challenges;

SAM -> Power Suppression
Sam's power is more on the mental field, though, he's fairly dense and athletic, so personality/body wise, he's more fit for the physical one, so technically, this little boy works both ways.

RILEY -> Super Strength and Durability
His power says it all. Both his body and everything else about him is basically built to be in a physical challenge, so have at it with that.

And then there's the ones who are open to be included to plots surrounding the fire;
Erika, Lux, Alice (maybe), Elena, Lucy and Jamie are all available for that since neither of those would participate in the games for various reasons.

[Beau LaRoux]

I'd personally like to get some squads out and rolling ASAP, with the knowledge that people can always join in and what have you as things progress. I'm thinking that limiting it to three RPers of roughly the same speed should make things easier for everyone. Seems to be the sweet spot as far as numbers go, and it kinda makes sense for most events.

So here's two of my immediate suggestions:

RJ (Fate), Cade (Exxie), and C/Jasper (Raku) - all highly physical characters and all of us post at about the same rate. However, these guys are also more likely to ham it up or just not do as good as they should, as opposed to:

Beau (Fate), Riley (Mel), and Roxana or maybe Devyn (Raku). Who I could see being what amounts to the "A" team, seeing as that's a lot of long-time security squad members and people who just messed with the SPECTRE thing.

I'm so tempted to just send in Frank and Sam by themselves to do the mental challenge. Maybe bully Robbo into sending Jack or just tag Franck for Bobby <.<

(it seriously saddens me that I have no peeps for the mental thing besides Frank, and she's obviously a joke v.v )

But this gets us two squads hitting the ground ASAP, with at least a few characters in reserve (Demi Rox or Devyn, Sam) to form teams when other people want. I'm of course open for suggestions and all; it's not like I'm chiseling this into the stone tablets as we speak.

..You know, sending Sam and Frank in sounds like it could be potentially the most hilarious thing to ever happen. Or the worst. Whichever comes first.

Other than that, I'm on board. <(^^)7

[Cade Carson]

Olivia's on a team for the mental challenge with Martin Gray. I'd check with Eli, but if we're going with teams of three, Frank might actually be a good fit for their squad. Just an idea.

Annnd...actually Cade takes all competition extremely seriously. He's very competitive and despite his sleepiness, he will be in it to win it.

So ofc I should get all up in this.

MENTAL CHALLENGE

ONEYKA: She's a pretty intelligent little lady. Super observant, takes notice to details... and that's not even her power.

BROOKLYN: If we're allowed to have a few cheaters, she'd be most likely to be one. Telepathy and psionic possession, could come useful when other people are solving the riddles and whatnots. 

PHYSICAL CHALLENGE

ONEYKA: (also a possibility) Seeing how she is active and is able to shapeshift and possibly trick others.

BROOKLYN: (also a possibility: cheater. Because let's face it.... she's not active at all.)

VERA: She is my most physical and most competitive out of the bunch, and ofc she's also packing Telekinesis.

PANDORA: A teleporter. She's also another physically active one.

Then I realized, ignore Oneyka because she'll be going for the OTHER SCHOOL.

I'm down for such things. Devyn is going to be the one more so on a team (I decided, mainly cause Rox was all "I should be working and keeping an eye on things overall) So yeah, match my peoples up with whoever. Tell me if I'm starting a thread or where I'm posting at.

P.S." I'm going to be posting stuff up for this event on Saturday for sure, so yeah.

I just figure groups of three make sense and all; nothing says you have to run them. If you wanna just grab a partner and go, by all means, do so. Ain't nobody gonna stop you.

Anyway, I got the groups and the info put up top there. Yes, I gave some groups cute names because I could; again, you don't gotta or anything.

If everyone's cool with the groups and stuff, then we should definitely get to the threads already (though I think Raku might have done that already?)

Kind of, lol. I said I was making the thread on Saturday so just made them all pending until things were figured out. But yes, I started some up but if people in the groups with my people do not like them, feel free to start another.

Also, those who don't have groups and those of mine that don't have groups, feel free to snag the thread and what not. I'm also game for having my characters threading with others during this event, because opposing teams and what not. So just message me to let me know. Rox is also available upon request but during the events before the fire she is mainly going to be lurking around.

Anyways, I linked the events threads with my people below, so you know. i'll change the tag status when people have decided.

Ok, lets see here. Two students here: Ellen and Jack pretty much the opposites of each other in everyway and as much as I agree that it would be amusing to see Jack involved in mental trials.., My original idea of Jack being involved in the physical events just for the idea of him running around and falling down at every possible opportunity. He’ll be covered in bruises the entire time. But seeing as Jack is a little busy during that time so I’ll put him in the mental group.

And if it’s not too late I would like to put Ellen in physical .

EDIT: anddddd I just noticed that the threads are up...I love complicating things X)
