Libraries and Frank Cox did not mix well. They were sort of like peanut butter and mayonnaise in that regard: something you'd have to be insane, stupid, or stupidly insane to actually bother trying. But that hadn't stopped Frank from sort of randomly wandering into the library and looking around. The librarian who noticed her gave her the stink eye, as if already anticipating what Frank was gonna do. The girl gave said librarian her best "who me? I'm as innocent as a cherub!" look, which was actually pretty well practiced.
Fooled/satisfied the librarian at any rate.
But it took Frank all of about five minutes to decide that she was bored. Thankfully, Frank knew several ways of alleviating her boredom, most of which were actually legal in Montana. She grinned as one in particular came to mind. Time to get into character though. Frank took several deep breaths, placing a hand on her chest. she closed her eyes, concentrated, and then released a slow, steady breath.
When Frank opened her eyes, she knew she was ready. she frantically (and silently) began looking around the library, darting about as if looking for something. She pushed aside book stacks and stopped at more than one person. She paused at a girl for an extended period of time, walking around her and looking her from top to bottom with an appraising look before shaking her head and moving along. Then at last, she seemed to notice someone. She stared. She pointed a shaking hand and then walked up, looking as frazzled as possible.
"I've finally found you!" she said, gasping. She looked over her shoulder, desperate to avoid the librarian for as long as possible. "You have to come with me! All of mutant kind depends on you following me," she said, extending her hand, "for you, you are our chosen one, fated, no, destined to save us from certain doom, but you must follow me."
