NAME: Audrey Nicole rice
NICKNAME:Nope, just Audrey.
AGE: 23
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
POSITION: Local
FACE CLAIM: Jennifer Lawrence
POWER:
Regeneration
Basically, if Audrey gets injured, she heals quicker than most. She can heal paper cuts, bruises, deep cuts, muscle injuries. For some reason her power stops her from having acne or black heads, she's not really sure why or how. She can also get rid of warts if they ever pop up (only one ever has and Audrey concentrated on making it go away in a couple of hours). She also doesn't get sunburns, and she thinks it's because her power heals her skin as the sun bakes it, sure makes tanning easy for her.
Limitations
She can’t heal, broken bones, damaged organs or anything really serious.Depending on the severity of the wound it could take her all day, to a couple of days to heal, but generally it takes a few hours before you can't even tell anything was there. She can heal a bunch of little cuts at the same time, but only one serious one at a time, and as soon as one heals, the other one starts healing like a domino effect. As long as she hasn't had to heal anything very serious she can just keep healing but after something that takes all day to heal, she usually needs to rest for a day before she can heal again.
Side-Effects
During regeneration Audrey gets really tired and dizzy and she usually just needs to sleep. And the area that's healing, tends to burn pretty bad until it's healed and then feels like a bruise for a little bit afterwards. When she’s not regenerating, she just eats a lot and drinks a lot of caffeine, if she doesn’t then she gets really tired and could fall asleep pretty much anywhere.
APPEARANCE SECTION: Audrey isn’t much. She’s average height, has long curly hair that she would say is a dirty blonde, but some people say it’s just blonde and she has been known to die it dark brown. It’s naturally straight with a lot of frizz. Without make-up and a flat iron, Audrey is actually pretty dull, with a crooked smile and small brown eyes. She’s not anything special when she first wakes up, never been gorgeous.
But when she does her hair, and puts on her expensive make-up, she transforms. Her eyes seem to get a little wider her smile is brighter, her hair is cooperative and pretty and shiny. She walks tall, with her head up, not like she’s better than anyone, but as though she were equal. When she leaves her house, she feels like she’s somebody.
MUST HAVE APPAREL: Audrey loves dresses, especially spring dresses and high heels. That’s usually what you’ll find her in on a day to day basis. But occasionally, if she’s feeling lazy, she’ll throw on a pair of jeans and a blouse. She wears her father’s wedding band on her left thumb and her mother’s on her right ring finger.
PERSONALITY SECTION: Audrey used to be really outgoing, she had plenty of friends. She was sweet and caring and knew how to get on people’s good side, and stay there. And she did it, while giving little information about herself. She’s always been private, not necessarily secretive, just not forthcoming about anything personal. But people never noticed that, she had a charisma about her that people just gravitated to her, opened up to her, and asked for no information in return.
But ever since her parents died, leaving her alone, she closed herself off from the world. She doesn’t talk to people, doesn’t try to make new friends. She hasn’t been the same peppy girl, she’s a recluse, a book worm, safe and never does anything fun. She stopped keeping up with her old friends, barely talks to anyone at work. She just sticks to herself and doesn’t care about having other people around anymore.
EXTRA QUIRK: she loves cheesy jokes that wouldn’t make anyone else laugh. For some reason they can make her laugh no matter what mood she’s in, they just make her feel better.

CHILDHOOD: Audrey’s childhood wasn’t really anything special. She was born 4 days late and the hospital ended up inducing Lisa and 34 long hours later, Audrey’s small town went from population 1289 to 1290. In a small town like that there wasn’t much work for her lawyer father and not much money for her doctor mother. So when Audrey was eight and her brother was ten their parents decided to move to the big New York City. Lisa Price got a great opportunity for a residency at a big hospital and Jacob found a job easily, someone always needs a lawyer in New York city.
About a year after moving the family could afford a big fancy house in a fancy neighborhood. It was easy for Audrey to make friends, especially being so young, everyone is your friend when you’re eight. She learned quickly that even when you’re little, money is what was going to get her places. All the little kids ran around in designer clothes and were already flaunting fancy toys and new t-shirts that cost $100. New York City is not the place to teach a kid to be humble.
ADOLESCENCE: As Audrey got older she learned to pick and choose her friends, although it always seemed she fell in with the popular crowd. She never really cared about throwing her family’s money at people, and that was probably due to the fact that she mainly focused her life on horses. Her parents had bought her a horse at ten and she had fallen in love with the riding and taking care of it, and working hard. She volunteered a lot at the stables helping out and spending a lot of her time there.
When she was thirteen she found out about her power. Some bully at school was picking on a skinny girl that couldn’t really defend herself, and understand that the girl hadn’t done anything wrong to warrant such treatment, Audrey decided to step in and say something. Her friends tried to stop her, clearly afraid of the big girl picking on the smaller one. Audrey had been close with her older brother and since he wasn’t at the same school to protect her, he’d been teaching her how to defend herself, and stand up for herself and what she believed in. So, with his voice fresh in her mind she walked up and told the bully to leave her alone. The big girl just laughed and shoved Audrey backward, making Audrey very angry so she walked up and shoved the girl as hard as she could and to her surprise, the big girl stumbled backwards. For some reason that made the other girl so upset she lunged at Audrey so hard the crashed through the glass of the lunch doors they were standing next to.
Both girls didn’t know how it happened, how the big girl had enough force to take them both through glass, but as they both stood up and realized they were covered in cuts and gashes from the glass, they both started crying. They were both sent home and suspended for three days. But on her way home from school Audrey's skin started burning all over, every single one of her little cuts felt like they were on fire, she cried out but her mother thought she just wanted attention and ignored her. But as Audrey was getting ready for bed that night after many lectures and scolds from her parents, and a high five from her brother, she couldn’t find a single cut on her body, as if the accident had never happened. Even the deep cut on her leg that hadn’t stopped bleeding for an hour was gone. She didn’t mention it, and even though she knew her parents noticed, they didn’t mention it either. Her three days suspension turned into five days because of the weekend so she had plenty of time to think about her skin burning and healing and having no traces of the cuts at all. She was definitely confused, and oddly impressed. For those five days she mainly staid in her room, holed up with a pair of scissors making little cuts on her arms and legs to see if they would heal. And they did, and each time it burned, but they kept going away. And she would make deeper cuts and they would take a little longer to heal, which meant longer with that burning sensation but soon enough she grew to ignore the burning, she was so impressed with herself she wanted to go tell her brother, but she was afraid he would think she was a freak. then she started to panic, what if everyone thought she was some kind of freak? she didn't want that, she had a lot of friends here, she didn't want them to start making fun of her and think she was weird. She put the scissors away, suddenly sad about her new found ability and after fitful sleep she woke up Monday morning, afraid to face everyone at school and got ready. And, like expected, the entire next week at school, all anyone wanted to talk about was the fight and the glass, and where all her cuts were, which she told them it had looked worse at the time and she really didn't have that many, and she was relieved when they believed her.
She was glad for the weekend but when she got home Friday, she was greeted by more than just her family. They were people from a special school coming to take her away. They explained to her why her cuts healed by the end of the day. Her parents explained that it was the best place for her and that they would write, and call, and visit. So Audrey went with them, leaving her family behind. She didn't really want to leave, she had never been away from her family for an extended period of time and the thought terrified her. She hated leaving her brother too, they were really close and she was going to miss him the most, picking on her and bugging her while she tried to do her homework. She silently cried as she packed her things and got in the car with strangers. Her parents didn't seem so distraught to see her go, but at least her brother looked like her would miss her. As they drove away she kept her tears quiet and looked out the window. The longer they drove the less tears came and soon she found herself wondering about this new school, filled with people like her, with abilities. She was nervous that no one would like her and she wished she could have brought her horse with her. She knew she would make friends, for some reason that had never been a problem for Audrey, but even back home she didn't have any close friends, except her brother, and even then that was questionable. She was really just nervous about fitting in, this was where she would spend the next four or five years of her life, maybe longer, she just wanted it to be a good fit, and that thought terrified her. she didn't want to live there if she didn't like it, if she didn't fit in or get along with anyone. She fell asleep with her head against the car window and dreamt about her new life at her new school.
But Bellefonte was great and Audrey loved it there. She made friends so quickly it was crazy. She immediately joined the Equestrian club and even became part of the swimming team in her later years there. She was friends with everyone, granted some people thought it was all fake and to be honest sometimes it was. Sometimes Audrey had to fake being so nice because she sometimes felt so empty.
Really, the thing that kept her going, kept her strong was talking to her brother every day, he was truly her best friend and she was so proud of him when he joined the marines on his 18th birthday. She of course couldn’t talk to him every day after that, but that was okay, she did have her friends, and her horse to keep her happy and she did a great job making sure everyone thought she was. Finally graduation came and even though her brother missed it, her parents showed up.
ADULTHOOD: But Audrey would go to NYU for college to major in Biology and minor in small business. She wanted to find out what made her heal so quickly and try to use it for modern medicine. She thought biology and genetics had to be the answer so she studied and studied. But nothing ever came to light as to why she was the way she was and she couldn’t find no way to use it to help people. In the first two years of school she found a boyfriend and also, both her parents were killed in a car accident; a drunk driver hit their parked car head on going 75 miles an hour. She was devastated and she closed up a bit afterward, except with her brother and her boyfriend.
It was a rough year following her parent’s death. Dealing with Lawyers and trials and insurance. She was completely unaware that her parents had a million dollar life insurance policy for them. But a little over a year after her parent’s death and the settlement, her boyfriend Matt proposed. He hadn’t done anything fancy, simply slipped the open box with the ring inside in front of her when she had turned her head for just a minute. She of course had said yes, without any hesitation, and without giving him a chance to speak.
Audrey planned everything herself along with the help of her bridesmaid and best friend of three years. She had never thought there would be so much detail involved in a small church wedding but it took them eleven months to plan, she was 23 and getting married. She had never been so happy, the only thing that would have made it better was if her brother would have come home earlier than the evening before the wedding, just before the rehearsal dinner. She was antsy in the couple weeks leading up to her wedding, anxious to get it over with, worried something would go wrong.
Three days before the wedding she got a knock on the door. Unsure of who it was, she looked to her best friend for guidance, but the girl just shrugged and said she wasn’t expecting anyone. As Audrey neared the door she got a strange sense of dread, like this was something that was going to throw off her perfect wedding. She opened the door without looking through the peep hole and as soon as she focused on the two gentlemen in front of her she almost slammed the door closed. She knew, before they said anything, before they handed her the dreadful letter she would never read, and before her brother’s best friend took her in his arms and apologized as she cried.
She didn’t remember much over the next 24 hours except packing and loading up her jeep. She just had to get away, just for a while. It broke her heart as she handed the engagement ring back to the love her life and told him she didn’t know how long it would take her, but she didn’t want him to wait for her. And then she loaded her horse into it’s trailer and drove. She didn’t really know where she would end up, but for some reason Bellefonte kept popping into her head.
SAMPLE: He nervously sat in the waiting room, the doctors had told him they would let him know if there were any updates. But waiting had never been his strong suit, patience was something he never learned and he surely wasn’t good at it now. His entire life was in the other room, a gunshot wound to her chest. If only he hadn’t been late for dinner, maybe things would be different, maybe they would be at home by now, celebrating, drinking and having a great evening. He gripped the small velvet box he had in his jacket pocket. Tonight was supposed to have gone so different, but none of the mattered now, he didn’t care about the ring, or his interrupted proposal; all he cared about was that the love of his life was going to be okay. He stood abruptly as soon as he saw the doctor walking down the hall. The doctor seemed to be walking slowly, heavy even.
