Quinn was ready to take the picture of a ghost even if it killed him. Alright, this was a little over dramatic. He had no intention of dying while getting his shot but he sure wanted to get to that mansion and see what was so scary about it and get proof of the existence, or non-existence, of ghosts. This explained why he was one of the few students who chose to go to the Winter Mansion for Halloween.
Honestly, he didn’t see what was so scary about it. What really was scary was how likely it could fall on their head as they ventured through the many different rooms. He wouldn’t even be surprised if the second floor was forbidden because the stairs could break under you at any moment. He also expected a lot of dust and he came ready for it. He knew he looked a little ridiculous with his surgical mask but like this, he wouldn’t risk inhaling too much dust and ending up coughing a fireball. One mistake like that was enough. Of course, he also made sure that his level of gastric acid was pretty low so it was not likely for him to cough up one but just in case, he still brought that mask. He didn’t want to risk burning the place down. There would be ghosts for real this time, their ghosts.
Quinn took a picture of the facade. “I haven’t come here just for the front door, I should get in,” he thought out loud, the mask making it somewhat difficult to understand clearly what he said, but then again he wasn’t talking to anyone in particular. This was a solo operation, just like anything else he ever did. He wouldn’t be surprised to find some other student inside but he hoped this place was vast enough not to be forced to stay with them. With that thought, Quinn entered the mansion.
Quinn was scanning the whole place. He was trying to look at everything at once, forcing him to turn around sometimes to make sure he didn’t miss anything. He was not taking any pictures yet though. Dust and spider webs were not what he came here for. “Basement or second floor, what would be creepier?” he said to himself.
