NAME: Scotlynn Cecilia Jones
NICKNAME: Scottie
AGE: 16 years old
GENDER: Female
ORIENTATION: Shyly Bisexual
POSITION: Bellafontea Student
FACE CLAIM: Jessica Green (Younger Version of Course)
POWER:
Name of Power: Bio-luminescence, Photosynthesis
Scottie has the ability to produce light. It can be generated through her skin or directed to her palms, where it glows more brightly due to lack of pigment in the palms. She has little control over when the light is produced, or when it is directed to her palms over all the rest of her body. For the most part her power reacts to her emotions. When her happiness is at a maximum she begins to glow and radiates an aura a light. When she is depressed she seems to be unable to produce any kind of light. And when she gets scared her light flickers erratically. She can also absorb light for energy. Sunlight is the purest form of energy which she can absorb, but she has become a bit of an addict to the feeling that particular source brings. It fills her with a warmth the radiates from head to toe, and leaves her in a state of bliss. Her eyes seem to flicker with unused photons, mostly in situations where her emotions get the best of her.
Limitations
-She cannot hold the light for long periods of time or she will lose control over it and be left glowing for hours.
-She can absorb some artificial light from electric sources but it leaves her feeling burn out, and is not as good for her as absorbing natural light from the sun. It often lacks the amount of power natural light gives and only gives her short boosts of energy
-She has no control over how bright the light is, and it can range from such a bright light that it hurts to look at, to a very dim glow.
-No matter the strength behind the light, it can always be bounced back by reflective surfaces.
-May be overwhelmed by intense levels of darkness, Its scares her immensely to be in the dark for long periods of time, causing mental drain, exhaustion.
-Lack of access to light can harm her physical and mental state, causing her to revert into depression, and become more irritable. It also causes her body to deteriorate slowly and shut or slow down digestion, reproduction, physical growth, and some aspects of the immune system.

APPEARANCE SECTION: Scottie stands on the shorter side of things at the approximate height of five feet four inches. She is at the healthy weight of 123.4 pounds. She can be considered quite curvaceous with her large bust, narrow waist, and wide hips. She conforms to the term hourglass figure.
Scottie's skin is smooth and can be considered a glowing tan color, usually because she is actually glowing due to her abilities. Her hair is a dark brown that seems to lighten the longer she is in the sun. And her long tresses of wavy hair hang down past her shoulder to stop about mid back in delicate waves. It is usually parted to the side and left down, or tied up in a messy bun
Her eyes are a bright blue, accentuated by the flicking photons that reside there and framed by thick dark lashes. Her cheekbones are high and defined, and she has full pouty rose colored lips. Her teeth are straight and white, because she takes quite good care of them due to her toothy smile. She often wears makeup because it was enforced at a young age as the standard of beauty and now she feels more comfortable with it on than without.
MUST HAVE APPAREL: Scottie doesn't care much about labels or who designed her clothes, but more about how comfortable they are. She often prefers tighter clothing that allows light to access her skin easier. She doesn't often wear accessories, as scarves make her feel suffocated, and items that are worn on the wrists irritate her skin. The only thing she is constantly wearing is her mothers ring, which is usually worn on her fingers or on a chain around her neck.
PERSONALITY SECTION: Scottie is definitely not a conversationalist, she is awkward when it comes to talking about herself and often stutters. However she enjoys listening to people, and figuring them out. She is a curious girl and has a deep love for finding out how and way things work the way they do. She spends a lot of her time reading whatever she can get her hands on, from a teen romance book to a manual for a 1980s corvette.
In learning environments she is one of the girls who prefers to sit in the front, and listen carefully to the lectures of her professors. She often would have her work done quickly and her nose buried in a textbook. Though her intense desire to learn was off putting to some, it didn't give off the impression of her being antisocial, just that she was very serious about her education.
Scottie is a friendly girl, often smiling and trying to help others. She always tries to see the best in others, even when they aren't the friendliest of the bunch. When someone earns her trust and friendship she is extremely loyal. She often excludes herself though, her insecurities making her believe that people feel like she forces her friendship on them.
She takes great joy in pleasing others, and making them smile. Whether it comes from a laugh at one of her jokes or a smile because she remembered their favorite color while picking out a sweater for their birthday.
EXTRA QUIRK: Scottie has a serious sweet tooth, which means most of her cooking is desserts.

CHILDHOOD: Scotties parents divorced when she was just a babe, causing her to have grown up with her mother most of her life. Why they had divorced was never very clear, but it was obvious that her mother no longer held any love in her heart for Caleb. Her mother was a normal woman, who loved to cook and indulge Scottie's sweet tooth. Scottie adored her mother, who was without a doubt her best friend.
When Veronica began to become sick, it terrified Scottie who was just barely turning ten years old. It was a heart breaking experience, watching her mothers life drain out of her slowly and painfully. Veronica never truly let Scottie see the pain she was in, hoping to spare her daughter the grief, but Scottie knew. She knew how painful it became for her mother to even move. It was both devastating and relieving when her mother passed on, knowing that her mother did not feel any pain anymore made her happy, but knowing that she'd never hear or voice, or receive another loving hug from her was immensely devastating.
From there she was sent to live with her father, a very religious man, who seem to disapprove of everything Scottie was. He disliked her curiosity, and despised how like her mother she was. Her elder sister had already moved out at that point, but was obviously her fathers pride and joy. When news of mutants began show up, Caleb began to preach about how mutants were creations of the devil, and how they were condemned to hell.
Between his disturbing hatred for all things different from him and his distant and cool attitude to Scottie, her only escape was school. It was the one thing she enjoyed in life life at that time. She was not overly popular but not friendless or lonely. Her grades were high and she had a small support system of her teacher who enjoyed her passion for learning.
ADOLESCENCE: Scottie became one of the least important factors in her fathers life, and often had to fend for herself when it came to food and school supplies. She was able to barely afford what she needed by tutoring other students in Biology and French. But it limited her time to read her books, which devastated her greatly. She began reading at night, and getting less sleep which began to effect her social abilities.
Then one particular night, she was up reading and her light flickered and abruptly burned out, causing darkness to fill the room. But it wasn't dark for long, as a warm light began to illuminate the room once more. It was barely a second before Scottie realized it was her and let out a piercing scream. Within minutes her father burst into the room, his eyes settling on her and widening to the size of quarters. He quickly left the room, leaving Scottie confused and frightened. She could hear him bustling around downstairs and then his harsh voice requesting the aid of the other church elders.
He did not return to Scottie's room for another hour, and only then he was accompanied by several other men. He began to pray over Scottie, forming a circle with the other men asking God to rid her body of the demon inside. But when that did not work for the several hours that he tried, he dismissed the Elders and told Scottie that she was no longer his blood, and to leave immediately. She only had enough time to dress and grab her mother's ring, before he forced her out.
It was only a week in which she moved around several friends houses, that two people found her and offered her a place in the Academy. She immediately accepted, and began to the process of enrolling in the school. She hasn't been at the academy for long at all, but so far is really enjoying sleeping in a bed that is all her own.

SAMPLE: Angelique Marie sat on her windowsill and looked out the window, watching the sunrise. As she watched the navy blue and violet of the sky turn to pinks, oranges and reds, a small smile came to her lips. She didn't know why, but there was always something that she had loved about seeing the night turn to day. A small mew came from behind her and she lifted her soft, black kitten and kissed her head. "Hello Raven." She whispered softly, petting the kitten.
"ANGELIQUE!" Her aunt called her. With a sigh, the young woman stood with the kitten still in her arms and walked down the stairs, leaning softly on the counter, looking to the woman. A small smile had come to her lip as she looked up at the woman. "Yes, aunt Kat?" She asked softly, her head tilted to the side softly. "Remember when I told you to do that resume? Well I just heard that there is an opening as a waitress in the restaurant Shu'ueve and I wanted you to see if you could get a job there. It would be a good opportunity for you and you could meet some very nice people." The woman said. A sigh escaped the girl's lips, but she nodded softly. "Yes, auntie." She said and then walked back up the stairs.
Once back in her room, Angel got out of her night gown and walked over to her closet. She looked through her clothing and pulled out a red strapless tank top, putting on a white shawl to cover her shoulders and also got into a pair of black skinny jeans and black boots that came up to her knees. Once she was dressed, the girl did a light make up and brushed her hair, making it cascade in slight waves down her back. As she looked in the mirror, a sigh escaped her lips. Well...I guess this is as good as it will get. She thought, taking a copy of her resume and putting it in her purse along with her cell phone, keys and wallet. After she had everything, Angel walked down the stairs, kissed her aunt's cheek and walked out the door, getting a cab.
The ride to Shu'ueve wasn't long and it didn't really give the girl a lot of time to think. When the cab stopped, Angelique paid the man and walked slowing into the restaurant and sat at the last open table that she could find. Her eyes were going over the menu and for what seemed almost an eternity, the girl was lost in her thoughts about her past. When she heard the soft voice and saw the woman there, a small blush had come to her cheeks and she froze for a second. "Umm, I wanted some tea please...and my aunt wanted me to talk to you about getting a job here." She whispered softly, taking the resume out and looking at the other who didn't look much older then she herself was
