The last time Faye had seen Seiji she had just found out she was pregnant. She hadn't told Dex yet and she'd left pretty certain that she would be terminating her pregnancy. Sei said what he thought was best. This she was sure of, but when it eventually came out to Dex, and when she changed her mind she wasn't sure how to face him. He had been right, the road had been difficult, but it was doable.
She inhaled slowly facing down the dorm room that she'd visited several times before. She probably should have called ahead of time, she wasn't even sure who he was living with and with her luck it would be kids she'd taught only a few months ago. She wasn't so sure she was ready for them to call her Faye, and see her in a a baggy t-shirt and jeans with her moderately sized baby bump threatening to burst the front button.
Regardless, she was here, and her knuckles made contact with the door, knocking. She took a step back.

"Hmm...this is...odd." Seiji said out loud to himself as he peered into the microscope he had in his room, adjusting the settings. He had taken some of his work to his dorm since his office hours were over but he had found something interesting in a sample and had not wanted to stop looking at it. Sure he could have stayed as long as he wanted in the lab but he was also kind of hungry and being in his room with all of his snakes there would remind him that he needed to eat and feed them. Akiko peeked over his shoulder to try and get a look at what her master was seeing so Seiji moved his head out of the way and allowed the snake to take a peek.
Not that she was actually able to see or tell whatever it was that Seiji was looking at. It just hurt her eyes for a moment and she hissed at the device as she curled up a little more on her master’s shoulder. "You wanted to see it and it most certainly is very fascinating." Seiji said as the microscope seemed to call back to him and he was peering into it once more. Making some more adjustments and noting down a few things on a piece of paper. He likely would have stayed absorbed in his work if he had not got the heads up that vibrations were coming down the hall and soon someone was knocking at the door. "One moment please." Seiji called out as he jotted a few more things down before heading to the door. Akiko remaining on his shoulders for a ride while the rest of the snakes peeked out of his room.
Opening the door Seiji could not help but to fall into silence as he just sort of stared at who was there. Faye. A women that he had considered his best friend and the last time he had talked to her she had left after their chat about her being pregnant. It didn't take a rocket scientist or Seiji long to figure out that Faye had not listened to his advice, which he had pretty much predicted. "Faye...it’s nice to see you after so long. Are you alright?" Seiji said with a slight bit of hesitation before it was overcome with a small amount of worry. "Oh, please come in." Seiji added a moment after, stepping back and opening the door for Faye to come in.

Seeing Sei instantly put the blonde at ease, at least for a moment before sensing the light air of tension that had already filled the space between them. "Yes. Fine." She assured him. It had been a hell of a few months but she was indeed fine. At least physically. Emotionally she was a bit of a mess, but that was to be expected given the circumstances and hormones pumping through her veins.
"Thanks." she said as she stepped through the door and looking around. It was different inside. New roommates she supposed. "How have you been?" Had it really been so long to make just a simple dropping by so odd? "Sorry, I figured I'd just... I mean I was in the neighborhood picking something up for Dex." She lied, "I just wanted to see you." She sighed as her eyes cast down, catching on her belly on the way.
"I'm still pregnant." She chuckled looking up to him awkwardly. "But I'm sure you figured that out already... it's twins." She was talking just to talk now.

Seiji didn’t mean for Faye to pick up on any light tension in the air, in all he was just worried and slightly scared to see Faye again. After all the last time they had talked with one another was when she revealed being with child and asked for his opinion on it. He gave it and to him he took it that she was upset by his words and hated him or something. After all when your last interaction with a person ended up on a bad note and you didn’t see them for months, it was basically expected that someone like Seiji would have felt like he had messed everything up. “Good, good.” Seiji said as a smile started to develop on his face to hear that she was doing fine. It was not a great or wonderful, but it was a simple fine.
He was actually in the college dorm and had new roommates so his common area was slightly different then his old room in the staff dorms. Having seen and talked with someone so often and going to not talking to them at all for months, yes it was a little odd but Seiji himself was odd about a lot of things. He was a bit sensitive so he could have been making things a bigger deal then some others might have. “I’m well. Work and school has been a bit busy but I think I’m onto a big breakthrough.” Seiji responded back to the question, smiling a little bit more when he talked about his possible breakthrough. He started to blink then when Faye went on to say why she was here, apparently just stopping by on the way to see the father of her children.
She then added that bit that she just wanted to see him, which caused Seiji to pause for a moment. So…she is not made at me? Seiji thought to himself which in turn brought more of a smile to his face. He opened his mouth to say something but Faye was not done, bringing up the obvious fact that she was indeed pregnant. The real shocker of all that Faye had just said was the fact that it was twins. Oh dear. Seiji’s mind was already diving back into how the news was not necessary a good thing in his scientific and very worried mind. There would be twice the chance of losing the infants, twice the burden and stress on the body. Not to forget the needs to intake double the amount of calories, twice the morning at a loss, and so on and on.
“Congratulations? I mean, that came out more like a question. I mean congratulations and I wish the best for you and Dex?” Seiji said since he had never actually been told who the father was and was just assuming it was this Dex person that she was going to go visit since that was what he assumed first hand at her brining him up. He just needed to not say anything that was really going on in his mind, reaching to softly stroke Akiko’s head as she remained on his shoulder. “Oh, would you like a drink?” Seiji asked then, figuring she might have needed something.

"Really? A breakthrough?" Faye smiled, genuinely interested in Sei's work. Hell, she believed in her heart that he was perhaps the greatest thing that had happened to meta's so far. He seemed to be the only one truly interested in finding out more regarding their mutations and how it'll effect them, as well as the world around them. It amazed her how quiet the news had been in the recent months. While she was thankful that all the horrors had seemed to stop, she didn't trust it. Not fully. They were different. They were a threat. Seiji was superman as far as she was concerned. "What kinds of breakthroughs?"
"Yes. Dex." Faye smiled to herself, unable to help it when his name was brought up. She hadn't expected to fall so deeply for the man from her past, but she had, and everything was perfect, too perfect, she hardly trusted it. Of course, that was looking past the current events, her miscarriage scare, Dex getting shot, other than that, things were perfect.
Normally she would say no to a drink. But she was thirsty and her belly was starting to growl. "Water would be great actually." She said as she mindlessly placed a hand on her belly, able to feel the wiggling beings inside of her getting restless.

Seiji nodded a lot when Faye seemed to be thrilled about his possible break thought. He tended to not want to drive right into his findings with people because he did not want to bore them. Faye showed an amount of interest in her voice and that made Seiji ready to share it all, well not it all. He still did not want to bore her and he doubted Faye was here to just hear him talk about the work he was doing. In fact, he didn’t know why Faye was here. Was she going to ask for some help or for him to check something on her power now that she was carrying children?
It would be the perfect time to research more into what could be harming her offspring’s since she was not in fact still pregnant. Or perhaps she was simply here for a visit, but did anyone really just come by for a visit? Everyone always wanted something, even just simply wanting to talk or see the other person was something, but just not that big of a deal compared to asking for a favor for them. “Well I’m pretty sure I have enough information gathered to tell where the mutant gene is specifically located and how it appears in families. I could basically end up predicting someone who will end up being a mutant before their gene ever activates in their DNA strand. It’s not full proof but what I was just looking at gave me a huge idea on what I could do in order to do that. Those beings findings out if a kid will be a mutant or not. Since while a mutant parent and a non-mutant parent could have a mutant child or not, one would think two mutants would also make mutants but that is not necessary they case depending on the power but it’s more than likely and…I’m rambling sorry. Just I found a few things out with on how it works in passing onto children and also a few things on how to possibly stop certain mutations from killing the mutant in the end.” Seiji said, talking fast the whole time and then tried to quickly wrap it up.
He knew he could talk a lot, but when it came to his work he could really walk a lot. He didn’t mean to, it was something that just sort of happened. He would give her deeper information if she asked for it, but for now he stopped himself. He gave a simple nod of understanding when Faye said yes to her baby’s father being Dex. He knew of the man from talk about him around the school during the SPECTRE incident, but that was pretty much it. He had not seen Faye around so figured there was no real need to meet this other guy, plus Seiji was slightly worried about what this Dex guy would think if he knew what Seiji had suggested. Certainly Faye would not tell someone something that was supposed to be kept between them, right?
“Okay, you can sit anywhere you like.” Seiji said as he moved to get Faye some bottled water out of the fridge. Akiko still watched Faye the whole time while the rest of his snakes snuck in and were hiding in the common area. All but Ghost, who didn’t even bother hiding and instead remained near Faye but did not directly approach her and instead watched her. “Uh…so um…did you need anything or…” Seiji’s voice trailed off as he walked over to Faye and held out the water bottle. Why did he feel so odd and out of place all of a sudden?
