WILLIAM HECTOR BELLEFONTE
79//Male//Heterosexual// Life-Force Transferal//Headmaster//Donald Sutherland
POWER INFO: William has a power unlike any other. the ability to resurrect dead tissue by contact alone. This ability allows him to return organs to their functioning state, or revive the dead if they have only been dead for a short time. This is caused by his body's cells begin able to output massive amounts of life giving energy that would otherwise keep him alive for many hundreds of years or more.
Each time he uses this power on a subject however, his body takes a traumatic hit in efficiency, and drastically reduces his health. In addition, he has used the power only five times in the past, by his estimation he only has at least two uses left in him if that at his current age. Should he use these, he will die. He cannot use his ability on living beings, as the massive transference of energy would potentially kill them out of pure shock to their system.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: William has the appearance of a time-worn, weary old man. Gentle, long white hair with a short beard and healthy but wrinkled skin. His eyes are an aged sky blue, his ears are large but hidden by his hair and his nose is fairly sized and sort of symmetrical. William stands at a lofty 5'10" and tends to walk with a bit of a limp, but this is possibly due to his age.
. William prefers to wear dress suits and more official clothing as suits the headmaster of a school. Typically he will wear colors in blacks and grays on most days for official business, but around the school he tends to wear a variety of colored suits. On days out however he'll often skip the suit and go for a much lighter dress code with a white dress shirt and black dress pants and an artistic vest. Finally, a wedding band on his left hand indicates he was at one time married, though neither he nor his son Anthony never speak often of this mystery wife.
MUST HAVE APPAREL: Anything dress suit.
PERSONALITY: William is a soft spoken, quiet man. Preferring to rely on words before resorting to harsher measures. He rarely shouts and only makes his points known through subtle behavior. He is often known to be a kind and joyful old fellow with an often difficult to understand sense of humor that often only he ever seems to get. Among most things he is seen as a fatherly man to his students and his grandchildren to whom he watches over carefully. This can make him seem rather soft, but don't be fooled.
Beneath the kind exterior lies a very powerful and commanding man, who if all else is exhausted, will make use of whatever means he can to protect his investments in Bellefonte and abroad. He is quite selfless and incredibly loyal to his cause. Very few could protest that William ever has a change of heart once he is set on a goal, and he typically will brook no argument over it. When in a room, his mere presence commands respect, honor and admiration from his peers. Perhaps his strongest trait is that he is absolute, a moral compass so strong that many of staff often thinks he can be too single minded about his goals. This however is but a surface result of deeper, more complex reasoning.

CHILDHOOD:
William was born on October 16th, 1935 to Edward and Lucille Bellefonte, heirs to the Bellefonte legacy. He'd had a normal life for the most part, growing and learning under the careful guidance of his parents. His father at the time was the current headmaster of the Belelfont Academy. His mother assisted when she could and at the same time, homeschooled the young William in his studies. For all that it might have seemed, Will had a fairly gentle and easy childhood, free of troubles as it seemed. William had a particular intelligence about him, a natural curiosity about things that few could match, whenever he could find the time he was buried in his books or steeped in studies, so much so that after a while his mother was no longer needed to minister his studies often. His rabid curiosity had lead him through all manner of materials and by his early teens, he was already a very learned and well meaning individual.
'At around this point, the young William was unaware of his great legacy, and the roles of his parents in the academy. What he did know, was that to his then young mind, his parents had strange and wondrous powers that he could not explain. His mother could levitate objects merely by looking at them, his father could make fire with his hands and even light a fireplace just by pointing at it. Thankfully, when William was old enough, they sat him down to speak of this phenomenon. It was then that William learned of the secret of advanced humans. His parents then had shown him to the school, at the time much smaller and less populated than it is in modern day. His parents explained that the school had been built and ministered by a long line of his kin, all the way back to the 19th century. Needless to say, Will was amazed. And from that day on remained facsinated with what his parents had shown him. But this knowledge came with a condition. His parents advised him to never share the existence with those who were not like the ones he saw in the school. That he must keep that secret to protect both humans and the advanced humans. At this time, William himself began to wonder if one day, powers of his own would manifest.
ADOLESCENCE:
Williams Teenaged years were somewhat of a different story for him. At the age of Thirteen he entered high school where he was able to defeat most academic challenges with relative ease. And for the most part he remained a very charismatic and endearing man who earned the respect of his teachers and friends around the school, even becoming a student council member. And while this may have seemed the same in his childhood. Things would drastically change over the years. In the winter of 1952, William's father developed pancreatic cancer. As with the time, there being no known cure, his father's days were now numbered. And as time marched on, he only became more and more ill, until he withdrew from the position of headmaster. Lucille Bellefonte stepped into the position willingly. All the young William could do was is and watch as his father slowly died. Whilst battling the cancer, William's father urged the young man to continue his education and to move forward with his life. And that, William did with the utmost loyalty to his father's word. So much so that the he had graduated from high school with top honors and a slew of scholarships.
Sadly, some months afterward, Will's father had entered his final hours. As his mother and he attend to him on his deathbed, Edward told Will that he should take up the mantle of headmaster one day. His brilliance and kindness could pave the road for a newer, better Bellefonte than previously imagined. Before anymore could be said, however to a now shaking, saddened William, his father began to slip away. In his distraught mood, Will laid his hands on his deceased father. Wishing for him to not have passed. It was then, that something amazing happened. As if something had welled up in him, Will felt a jolt of energy within him suddenly shoot up from his chest and leave through his hands. The sudden welling of energy knocked the air out of him, and he lost consciousness.
When he awoke, he had thought what he was seeing was a dream. His father was awake, alert, and alive. The cancer that had killed him once, was now in complete remission. It was there that the Bellefontes realized their son, William was also a member of their kind. An advanced human with an incredible ability. The ability to bring others back to life. However, Will knew something with his power was not all it had seemed to be. The cost of initiating the power even without actively doing so was enough to exhaust the young man, and make him feel somehow close to death for a short time. This would have to wait, as quickly as he had revived his father, and as grateful as he was, they made immediate plans to leave, so much so actively ducking out and away from hospital staff.
Int he following months, William would join his parents at Bellefonte academy, helping his parents in an assisting role at the school and grooming him for leadership. His father seemed full of vitality, at least for now. And as often as they could, they examined William's power. It seemed his power had revolved around giving a portion of his life energy to others. And not just by restarting their system, his body seemed to be teeming with the life giving energy grown in his cells and repeatedly renewing his body, slowing his aging process and allowing him to heal well from wounds. It also seemed that he was able to actively transfer this energy willingly to others in order to revitalize or even reanimate dead body or cell tissues. However it seemed to come at a great cost... Every use seemed to leave the young man in a weaker state than before. His Mother had advised that he use this power extremely sparingly. That he should use it only when there was true, great need for it. William agreed.
ADULTHOOD:
In the years following, Will would work along side his parents at the school, helping to minister the students and even assist in teaching from time to time. He would help his father even deal with the troublesome and frequent visits from the government about the school. And would even work to keep the secret of advanced humans under wraps for as long as he could. Yet despite his great power, he would be forced to watch his father's health, slowly but this time naturally decline along with his mother. Sometime around 1960, William met a beautiful young woman teaching at the school as a kinetics teacher. Her name was Myra Lewis, an Irish girl who had come to find refuge in the Americas not long ago. The two encountered one another and it wasn't long before they began a yearlong romance that eventually ended in their marriage and the birth of a son shortly thereafter, Anthony Bellefonte. Their time together was wonderful, but often strained by the stresses of work that were put on Will, often causing him to pay little attention to his family, despite his loving and kind nature. And finally, in the summer of 1962, William took over the school reluctantly as headmaster, still very young, but well educated and a well rounded leader. His father would pass away some years later, and not long after, his mother. Some years later, when Anthony was ten, William and Myra would separate indefinitely as well. Leaving the only child and now a lonely man, that much more alone. However, in this school, Bellefonte Academy, the school for the gifted, William H. Bellefonte vowed to make it his new home, and a place where the burgeoning new humans could find a family of their own.
