Devyn grumbled a little as she loosened the black tie around her neck to her new school uniform. Just the word uniform made Devyn cringe and she was just thankful the school had been smart and allowed the girls to have a verity other than a shirt. Devyn would end up getting a dentition everyday if she had to wear a stupid skirt. Wearing the black boot, black pants, and white short-sleeve buttoned up shirt was what style of the uniform Devyn had decided to wear. It was not too much different from what she normally would wear if she was going out on a date or something, but she was expected to pretty much wear this around the school at all times except lights out. “A, B, C, D, E, F, G…” Devyn was going through her alphabet as she worked on alphabetizing the books she had been given to put away. After her little library destruction she had to come help clean the place up as part of her punishment.
Putting away the books was the worst of it all. She had not minded cleaning up the debris from the broken tables, chairs, and a bookshelf but putting the books back on the self was a pain in the neck. She only had to do the letters S, T, and V but there were so many damn books with the author having an S name and she had to alphabetize them fully. Meaning she had to go to the next letter in the name and the letter after that until it would be in the right spot. She had already completed her classes for the day and now it was just this task. This painful task. Just as she got a row down, it seemed the shelf had been not screwed in fully; her fault, and could not take the loud of books. Crashing down and spilling the alphabetized books to the ground.
Devyn stood there in silence, feeling a mix between wanting to just throw a child-like fit and just going on yet another rampage. Instead she just let out a long and very slow sigh as he green eyes scanned around. She needed help and she was going to get it, meaning she would have to end up paying whoever she asked to do the task back in some way. A person sitting down by themselves seemed like the perfect target so Devyn moved over towards them and tapped them on the shoulder. “Hey, sorry to bother you, but could you help me out with these books? I can pay you back for the help.” Devyn asked and added in her offer because you had to give something if you were going to ask for something.
