"Dad...no, I can't hear you." Erin said with a small hint of frustration in her voice as she walked through the part. She really did not want to be outside if she could help it, but she was new to the area and needed to get a feel for the school, and now the town that she was going to be living in. She roughly knew how to get back to apartment by the road, but she had to figure out how to get back to her apartment by walking as well. It was not a huge deal since GPS and how she would soon be moving into the BA dorms. Still she made a deal with her dad and so was out an about to get 'the lay of the land' as her father put it in simple man’s terms. The only problem was her GPS kept recalculating and now when she was trying to talk to her father over the phone the services kept breaking up.
"Either my connection or your connection is bad. This is so zeta slow." Erin let out a groan as the single just completely cut out. Letting out a heavy sigh she felt like she was going to end up in the caveman era without any cell phone services. She had reminded her father that they needed to change or get another cell phone provider since theirs were made in Japan and used Japanese cell phone towers. Last she checked she was nowhere near close to the island she knew as her main home. Holding up her phone in the air she started to do the typical 'searching for bars'. Some might have saw it as silly, but sometimes it actually worked to try position the phone higher or lower to try and get it to be hit by a signal. The down side of 'searching for bars' was that you were not really paying attention to where you were going. So it didn't really come as a surprise to Erin when she ended up colliding into someone, dropping her phone and almost falling.
Thankfully she was not scared by a collision with a person and had no worries about her power going out of control. "Damn. Sorry I was not paying......attention..." Erin moved to pick up her phone as she let out an apology, the words starting to come out really slow and a huge awkward pause in the middle when she saw who she ran into. 0MG. H0T.
