Frank stood in the middle of the cafeteria, pretty well slathered with icing. It had somehow gotten all over her, mostly in brilliant pinks and blues, though a giant smear of neon green showed upon one cheek. Her normally blondish hair now had streaks of vibrant color throughout it, which had a tendency to make it stick in this ungainly, sugary clumps. This did not seem to diminish her in the slightest.
Probably because of the absolutely massive cupcake tower she had balanced on a cart next to her. She also happened to be waving her arms and yelling, which was fairly normal for her. For that matter, most of the scene unfolding here fell more or less into the realm of "normal."
"I HAVE CUPCAKES!" she yelled, waving her arms toward the tower. "I HAVE MADE THEM OUT OF DELICIOUS INGREDIENTS AND NOW I WISH TO BESTOW THEM ON EVERYONE WHO DESIRES THE CUPCAKE! I think some need frosting though," she narrowed her eyes and looked at the bottom layer of treats. Somehow, they had avoided the whirlwind of frosting that came with Frank's actions. They stood there, looking decidedly plain and standing out amid the rest. How had that happened anyway?
Please, like Frank knew.
"So who wants cupcakes!?" she yelled, turning and looking around. she'd start attacking people if she needed to, though that didn't seem too likely, even for Frank.
Though technically, that would be fairly normal too.
She had came to the cafeteria with hopes of getting something to eat. She didn't know what she wanted or what they had here to offer as for food but she was hungry. She was damn hungry and she wanted to stop her belly from grumbling in such a mean way. Besides, she wanted to practice a bit with her violin and in order to do so she needed to have the energy. One wouldn't think but you needed some good stamina for playing the instrument. Playing, kept her insane. It was probably the only time she felt really happy. Really free from any painful emotion or memory. She could wrap herself up in it and simply escape. She played the music raw and she had been told that she could channel the purest emotions out of the instrument. She didn't quite believe it, perhaps it was because she routinely wasn't hearing herself play.
She clutched her violin case to her as she eyed the entire place. From where she stood, it looked like any regular dinning hall with various choices for food. She licked her lips a bit as she noticed the sudden tower of cupcakes that someone had made and clearly was covered in icing. She opened her eyes a bit.
Weirdo alert...
She hissed, not liking how her subconscious was presently labeling people. She didn't like it when it had been done to her, so who gave her the right to do it to anyone else.
Point made...sorry...
That was rare, but she wasn't going to dwell on it, her mind wasn't often this co-operative about apologizing. None the less, she did make a note that she needed to stay away from the woman. She seemed disorganized and clearly not there. Perhaps to many blows to the head or maybe she was just high on sugar? She did have a lot of frosting on her and though she felt this draw to approach the woman and help her clean some off, she didn't. The thought sent a flush of red through her face as she huffed and she moved now towards a table and sat down.
We aren't going to eat again are we....
She embarrassed herself, she got nervous and instead of getting food she sat down. She didn't know WHY she was doing it, but she eyes seriously eyeballing the cupcakes because all in all, it was a bloody mess to look at but they looked so damn good....

Frank kept looking, and eventually started moving, prowling her way through the people. A few got cupcakes all but tossed at them, and only a handful of those got warnings. No, Frank didn't care if she started a foodfight. Benefit of being able to eat anything: foodfights were essentially like having a buffet served to you.
That's when she noticed someone who kept eying the cupcakes without moving forward. Frank crept toward the girl, pausing only for a moment to snatch a returned cupcake out of the air, grabbing it with her teeth. She munched on that as she approached, soon pausing just a few feet from the girl.
"I seeeeee youuuuu," she cooed, rolling a pointed finger at the other girl. "You are totally eying my cupcakes, and I don't, like, mean boobs or something," Frank nodded then gestured toward the tower. "You so wanna finish icing a few of these bad boys and--" and other cupcake flew, this one hitting Frank and falling. "Hey, quit throwing cupcakes! That's my thing!" she threw the one she'd been eating before returning to the other girl. "So there's plenty here for, like ,everyone. You can totes have some. They don't attack you or nothing. That only happens in, like, alternate universes and junk."
Soft moist cake tucked into a delicate hand sized cup shape with a bit of a muffin top. Nicely covered in the sweet smooth softness of cream. The sight of them was very, alluring. She could see why people just loved them. She could smell them as well. She didn't know if this was due in part to the fact that she had loved the damn things. It brought her memories of standing on the stools back home. Wrapped in a giant t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up as she was content with frosting covering her hands as she tried to squeeze some onto the tiny baby cupcakes her mother would put in front of her. The kitchen filled with smells and the sound of laughter.
It was part of one of those good moments in the past. One of those actual seconds when the world didn't seem so dark and alone.
Without thinking, she had licked her lips until she nearly jumped out of her skin when someone yelled they saw her. She looked around frantically in shock until she looked at the hair frosted girl before her suddenly pointing and being hit with cupcakes? She was talking to her and for a split second, she didn't know how to really respond to the girl right away.
"Um...I um..." Her instincts were telling her to run like hell! Get away from her even more now that she was being told she wanted to finish frosting them.
Yes!!!
"Um...No..I um...Just they looked nice...."
CHICKEN!
She was going to murder that voice one day. She bit at her lip as she picked up her violin case and held it to her. "You have....Stuff...In your hair..." She said to her and nodded. "But they look good! Thanks for the show!" She said now in a panic, turning on her heels and trying to an escape before she was hit with a cupcake as well!

Frank tilted her head as the other girl continued. A bit of frosting seemed to slide a little in her hair, and Frank actually extended her tongue out to catch some of it. Sure, that meant that she was soon nomming on her hair, but that definitely wasn't a first for her.
"Thanks! I did make them really pretty this time. I was all thinking that they should be especially pretty and all because I wanted people to go for them and be all like 'cupcakes, weeeee' and stuff and---oh, stuff? Yeah, I totes know. That happens sometimes. It's cool though," Frank blew out her lips and flipped her hair, flopping it out of her mouth. She did still lick her lips a few more times though.
"You're--hey, where are you going!?" Frank waved her arms and then darted forward, dragging the cupcake tower along with her. "Don't you want any cupcakes? Hey, new person! yooooou!" she waved her arms wildly, trying to get to the other girl. She was pretty quick on her feet, especially as hyped up on sugar as she was at the moment. Still, she might not be able to block the other girl in time. "Seriously, you know you want some delicious cupcakes, or you can help me hand them out or make a few more, if you want. It's totally cooool."
No, that was oddly not her subconscious. It had been her stomach and the sudden crack of it roaring with hunger probably had been loud enough to wake the dead. Her entire face flushed, from the top right down to her neck and god knows where else it would have spread. Good.god. What was she going to do now?
Turning her head she looked at the girl tugging around the tower and as she blushed her eyes looked at the cupcakes again and she turned suddenly to be properly facing the girl. She raised the case a bit to hide her face a bit as her eyes peeked over the edge and looked at the girl.
You really want one....No harm in it...She is giving them away....
This was true, this was very true and she wasn't or didn't seem like someone who would be cruel about it. She seemed friendly, rather open and well a bit out there. She licked her lips and when she spoke, her tone was muffled a bit because it was trying to talk through a case.
"Please....May I have one?" She asked, she was nervous. Uncomfortable and she was battling a serious moment of fright that she wondered if she should take the damn thing and run again.
You could make it...She can't be fast dragging those things....

The girl did back away, but Frank was used to that by now. A lot of people backed away when faced with the friendly fury that was Frank Cox and all. Frank just assumed they couldn't handle all of her at once or something. Still, Frank had caught the whole stomach growling bit, then she heard the girl ask.
"Toldja you'd want one!" said Frank. She looked at the one in her hand for a moment, shrugged, and shoved that one back, seeming to engulf the entire cupcake in one go. she dusted the crumbs off her hands, nodding. Her cheeks had ballooned like some kind of chipmunk, but that didn't stop her from talking, or the words from being completely understandable.
"You should totes pick your own from the tower! Isn't it cool? If you don't want to, like, frost your own or something, I think there are some that are pretty well frosted. Or you could go for one without a lot of frosting, since I know some people are like 'frosting ew,' though that seems pretty weird to me 'cuz sugar is just awesome, ya'know? Oh, right," she clapped her hands together, "I'm Frank: can't remember if I said that or not. It's awesome to meet you,' she grinned, then bobbed, then waved her hands at the tower for a bit, clearly excited to have someone picking their own treat.
She wasn't so sure she didn't disagree with that. The woman clearly wasn't all there. Yet, she had this very kind air around her that Odette couldn't really put to grasp. Studying her. Watching her as she seemed to just bounce around with such joy and excitement. She was almost jealous of this. The girl didn't have a single care of the world and she was clearly ok with this. It was a spine she wished she had for herself. Watching her smile though, she realize that it was a kind smile. Even as she stuffed her face with the cupcake...
Oh Frankie..My sweet Frankie....
Her thoughts going on a bit dramatically as she began rambling on with a mouth full that was sending her head spinning trying to catch as many words as she could. She was piecing it all together and her brain felt like it was slowly cooking from the process. Blinking a moment she realize she had introduced herself and she cleared her throat a bit. "...Jay...." Her tone came out soft and distant as she nodded her head a bit to her and then looked at the tower. She didn't know if she could just pick one and take it or if she would pick one and it would be given to her. She had rambled so fast she didn't up everything.
She hesitated at first, but she had a sort of soft and kind air around her. It was very inviting even as she had licked icing off her hair before all this. She looked at the tower and made a soft 'o' with her lips as she wondered which to pick.
THE ONE DROWNING IN FROSTING!
She knew where her thoughts were going. Something sweet would give her a nice sugar rush and it would wake her up a bit more then she was now. She felt like she was dragging herself around, but would she end up like Frank? She hoped not, but one cupcake wouldn't really hurt her.
She reached for it, taking the one that had been drowning in the most frosting and looked at it. "It looks really good....Did you make them yourself?" She asked curiously before taking a bite into the frosting alone and giving herself a little mustachio of it as she felt the sweetness rush into her veins.
Oh.My.God...I LOVE YOU!
Her brain was feeling the rush and loving every second of it. Pure bliss right now. She made a happy sound and looked at the girl, feeling slightly comfortable but not by much. "Frosting is good....Thank you...." She said and tried for a bigger smile. She felt awkward right now. Conversation wasn't a thing for her so she didn't know what else to say to her. Frowning a bit, she slumped slightly and lowered her head and slowly began to move away.

"Jay? That's neat! Like the bird? Or just the letter? I'm betting it's short or something though, since that's not---go ahead: you won't mess it up, or, well, you won't mess it up any more than I would," said Frank, giggling and shrugging. She'd said this last as she saw Jay eying the tower, clearly trying to figure out which one to go for. She finally took one that had all but been drowned in frosting: "Good choice! I love them when they're, like, just slathered in the stuff. And yep!" Frank nodded, "I got super bored so I did some cooking and baking and stuff as a kid. Plus, like, my power is to eat anything. And I mean anything. So I'm," she grabbed a cupcake, not breaking stride or sentence flow, "like, always hungry and stuff. Made it all though! From scratch."
Frank finished with a confident nod before popping the entire cupcake in her mouth. She ate it in a few quick bites, readily consuming it and seeming to swallow before things had gotten completely mashed. All the while, she grinned. Her attention seemed to waver between Jay, the cupcake tower, and people around, but the head jerked back to Jay when the girl spoke.
"The frosting's homemade too! The trick is to whip it big! and you're welcome! You can have more if you want. And if you, like, want some treats or whatever, you can totally look me up. I'm like, always available for stuff. Just ask anybody," and there was more nods to follow. Then Frank turned, grabbed another cupcake, and flung it. "COME GET THEM ALREADY; THEY AREN'T EATING THEMSELVES! So you're new here, right?" this last was said to Jay. "I just say that 'cuz I don't recognize you and stuff, and I'm usually all over new people and being all waaaaaaaz uuuup and stuff."
She was all over the place. She talked so quickly that Odette had to bob her head a bit to try and catch everything she was saying and keeping up with her. She bit into the frosting again, hoping maybe another surge of sugar will suddenly renew the feeling she had inside of her as she blinked. Consumed suddenly with this new feeling washing through her. "Um...J...a...y....." She said to her still trying to catch up to her as she was talking. She looked at the tower as she spoke about messing it up. Well, it was a wreck, she had to admit that but it still wasn't as bad as it could have been. Granted, there was a few of the cupcakes that clearly were not frosted. Perhaps she ran out?
She watched as she stuffed the cupcake in her mouth and explained she was always hungry and she made it all herself. Good heavens, where does she put it all? She took second to look her over. She didn't look over weight at all, she looked good actually, so how does she eat like this and not gain a single pound? Ah, she explained it. She should have been focused more she said it first.
Idiot...
Well, she couldn't help it! She was going so fast! She was getting all confused! She nodded. "So, just does it disappear before it hits your stomach?" She asked rather confused on how that works. Is she starving? Was she getting enough in her system? She leaned her head to the side, she wasn't trying to be ignorant but Frank's ability sounded interesting. She could only imagine a line of supermodels wishing they had this ability for themselves.
She nodded her head a bit and flushed again as she looked at the cupcake in her hand. "Its really well made...The frosting...My favorite...." She admitted and took in a sharp breath as she watched her fling another treat across the room and didn't dare look at who or what it hit! Her eyes wide open as she swallowed hard. "Um...." She blinked a bit. "Yes...I am new..." She could somehow imagine her bouncing around and pouncing on people. It fit her personality. She wondered how many restraining orders this girl probably had on her, but she seemed fun.
She smiled a bit and looked at the cupcake in her hand again. "Um...I came from the school in England...I am a transfer..." She said to her and peeked back up and kept the smile. "Do you make pies?"
DO YOU MAKE...SERIOUSLY...All the things you can ask and you pick pie...
Shh...
She liked pie. She was trying to be bold here, and her little victory was failing thanks to her stupid brain.

"you know," said Frank, stopping in moving and doing everything else for a few moments there, "I don't think anyone really knows, like, exactly what happens there. I suppose you'd have to x-ray me or something while I ate, which would be totes cool and now I so want to do that..." Frank was now looking around, obviously trying to see if she could spot anyone who had such a power. For surely there would be very evident signs.
This did not stop her from being near the person to whom she was speaking, nor did she seem to lose track of the conversation for more than a few moments. There was something about favorites and such and Frank was tempted to continue, though there might have been some more cupcake flinging because of course there was. She heard the bit about new, nodding enthusiastically.
"Waaaaaait, the English school? I was totes there for, like, year!" said Frank, nodding. "I threw tons of parties and dated all the hot British boys because you know that's where it's at. Weird that I didn't run into you before then and OF COURSE I MAKE PIES! I make all the pies! I make all the baked goods, because baked goods are totally awesome and junk. I can make some other stuff too but, well, sugar's more fun to eat, you know? Heeeeeeey, you wanna help me hand these out? You could, like, tell me if there are some pies you want me make for you and junk."
Suddenly, the thought of that had her looking down at the girls stomach. There was a strong sense of curiosity suddenly swirling in the back of her mind and reflecting in her eyes. If she did stand in a x-ray, could she really see that? She raised a brow and tilted her head to the side, she was very engrossed in the thought because seriously, that would be a cool thing to watch! She looked healthy, not overly thin but a good weight. She must be consuming what she needs from the food even though she has that strange ability. Did that ability mean it handled only the things she ate? She was curious now as she squinted, but her concentration broke when she realized what she was doing.
AHAHA! PEEPER!
Her face flushed as she jerked her eyes to the girls face and suddenly away, staring at the cupcake tower with such concentration it was like she was breaking the ingredients with her eyes. Her face was flushing. Good god! She did this a lot in this school! Why did everyone have her blushing?!
She cleared her throat to try and compose herself once more. When Frank said she was there for a year. She suddenly was frozen stiff. Fear crept through her and whatever blushing she had on her face, was now gone. Odette had paled over to the extent she looked gray almost. Hearing her explain how she had parties and dated the boys it instantly told her where Frank was there. She was part of that popular crowd. That little sliver of a clique and circle that she had never been let near unless she was being a cushion for there source of entertainment.
Her shoulder raised almost in a defensive manner and her head tucked down a bit, keeping her eyes averted she nodded. "No...No I am good..." She said to her. "I don't want to interrupt...I have to go..Nice meeting you." She said, working to break her nerves as she moved away from her. Explaining why she wasn't seen, was to much. She avoided the subject.
You didn't see her, because no one did until they were bored.
Her thoughts were bitter now as she nodded. She ate the cupcake at hand, it really was good. Her other hand clutched the case to her as she made her exit, heading to leave the space and leave Frank behind before she was dragged back.
Odette didn't fit around Frank. She wasn't as happy as her, clearly she was popular and a ray of sunshine where Odette did not compare.
We should just sulk over pizza...
Her thoughts suddenly, sounded pretty good. Where the hell is the EXIT?! She squinted looking around.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Aug 22, 2014 6:05:11 GMT -6
"Interrupt? Interrupt what?" repeated Frank. "heeeeey, we were talking and---oh here's another cupcake ya darn vulture!" and yes, there was another short break while Frank pivoted and flung a cupcake, using her momentum to send the cake flying nearly into someone else's mouth. Her aim proved remarkably true, hitting the recipient dead in the face. Frank gave them a nod and a finger point before turning again.
In that short time, her new friend/victim had made something of a break for it. Frank could recognize someone attempting to escape and, as always, she wanted to be as helpful as possible. So she skipped up to Odette, coming to a stop when she was right next to her.
"Exit's that way," she said, leaning over the girl's shoulder and pointing. She then grabbed Odette's head and worked to turn it to face the exit as well. "But you don't, like, have to run away or anything. I'm cool hanging out with everybody. More friends just means more awesome, even if they're all--ooooh, case!" Frank leaned over to poke at it. "What's in there? Are you toting around a gun or something? Is that your power? To manifest guns and go all badass Mexican gangster on people? Okay, so you're British, but I lived there, so I totes know there are British gangsters too," and Frank nodded with a good deal of solemnity, as if British gangsters were totally common in the section of the country she'd come from.
She took in a deep breath. She was a bit off, but then again she seemed pretty free and friendly as all hell, but if she was someone who was part of that circle there was that risk that she was there when they tormented her. When they picked on her and for all she knew, such a friendly person had been there laughing at her as well. She sucked in a breath, no she couldn't risk it at all. She didn't want to be recognized. She didn't want someone remembering her for someone she had been. She was trying to be new, trying to start over and as it was, it was hard enough already for her.
Pansy....
Yes well, she was a lover not a fighter?
You never even been kissed.....no wait...Please...I am so sorry....
The stinging reminder of an event, she sucked in a sharp breath and hissed at her thoughts.
LISTEN! We shouldn't count it! I MEAN THERE WAS NO TONGUE!
She had it, shoving her thoughts away from her as she took a breath and looked around. Frank clearly was following and had caught her by surprise when she seemed to reappear. When Frank had grabbed her head to turn it, she couldn't help the slight tremor she felt coursing through her. She took in a deep breath and looked at the exit now clearly seen to her and she blinked her eyes looking at Frank as she spoke about being ok with hanging out with people, did she not remember then? Maybe she really wasn't part of that circle.
Or she is a good actress....
The sudden question about her violin case has her looking down at her and when Frank rambled on about her power maybe being that she could manifest guns, it was so ridiculous she couldn't help but breaking down into a hearty laugh. She had to raise a free hand to cover her mouth as she was trying to stop herself from laughing but it was just impossible. She couldn't believe it, she rather thought it was comical and entertaining. She just couldn't picture herself suddenly handling any kind of weapons. She would shake her head softly. "No.....No.....No gun...." She said to her, her words broke a bit from soft chuckles. "My violin...." She admitted to her and held the case up.
Opening the case she let Frank look inside at the cherry wood frame of the old piece which had been gifted to her from one of the foster homes she had been in growing up. The one of many. "I...I play....." She completely avoided the subject of her power though, last thing she wanted was to freak someone out with it.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on Aug 26, 2014 9:18:44 GMT -6
Frank practically started glowing as Odette actually laughed at her antics. Her smile went wide and her eyes sparkled with increased mischief, clearly feeding from the positive response she'd finally managed to work out of the other girl. "Shame that it's not a gun or anything, but I'm sure you're ability is totally--ooooh"
The oooh came as the case opened. Frank looked down, her eyes widening, her hands going out as if to touch it but her mind obviously reminding her at just the last second that touching people's prized possessions without their permission was generally a "no." "You probably don't want me to touch it," said Frank, nodding, speaking her thoughts aloud as she was so wont to do, "since I kinda break things. It looks totally pretty though, all shiny and impressive and stuff. So, like," she looked up into Odette's eyes again, "do you play super good and stuff? Oh, oh, oh, is that your power!? Like, playing super awesome music that hypnotizes people and junk? Or do you shoot lasers while you play music or--"
Frank then noticed that someone had come up to her cupcake cart, this time, a smaller someone. Frank turned, beamed, and handed over cupcakes, barely breaking stride but making sure the kid knew that someone thought she was awesome. Then she was back looking at Odette, that wide smile threatening to engulf the entirety of Frank's modestly chubby face.
