Reid had opted for casual when she found out that their date was going to happen in the woods. After jokingly asking Cyril not to do bad things to her in the woods, she had chosen a flannel shirt and washed out jeans with her worn grey Chucks. Her hair was up in a ponytail, making her look a lot younger than she actually was. Bonus.
It didn't take long for her to reach the stables, but it would have had she actually made a pit stop at the school. Since she actually had plans, she opted out of the mini reunion with her former classmates turned staff and headed straight to the stables.
Reid felt like it had been ages since she had stepped on school grounds but it felt so familiar.
"Cyril? I'm sorry I didn't call earlier. Where are you?" She called out, tugging at her ponytail self-consciously.

Cyril was more than excited for this date that Reid had agreed to go with him, worried that she was going to say no since he picked the woods as their location. He was still more or less new to the area in terms of he would more than likely end up lost if he went into town to find some place new that he had never been to before. As such, he had no clue where would be a nice place to take out such a beautiful woman on a date. So, he made the food and drink and set up a picnic out in the woods on the school grounds. Somewhere where he knew he could get to and had everything up and hidden away safe so no wild animals would get at it while Cyril would be busy with Reid at the stables. He had a whole big plan on what he wanted to do, it just depended on if Reid would be up for it all. He would not force her of course, but if she just said yes to everything, then things would go smoothly and maybe she would really enjoy the date and be up for more.
Reid did make a comment over the phone about how he had to promise not to do anything to her in the woods. He knew it was a joke, but he still might have gotten a little embarrassed at her words. He was a good boy, more or less. Nothing would happen to her unless she had asked or shown that she wanted it. Really he was just planning on having a nice ride and picnic with her, since he thought Reid to be a classy girl and that he would have to go on a few dates with her and prove that he was not a bad guy before she would even give him a kiss. He was wearing simple jeans like he did every day, but he had opted for a nice blue plaid shirt to go with it. Tempted to bust out a cowboy hat, but that would be too much. So he went with the usual spiky hair look, but made sure he was very well groomed.
Cyril had just finished up getting Artemis ready for ridding and was tying him up to a post on the side of the stables while they would wait for Reid, when he heard the woman’s voice. "I'm over here." Cyril said with a friendly smile as he moved to be in her view and immediately was looking her over. "Wow love, you look...wonderful." Cyril said, the pause being there for a moment because he almost let out a pun but desired to say the words normal this time. There was a moment of silence from him before her shook his head and chuckled a little. "Sorry about that, was admiring. You all set?" Cyril asked then keeping his tone friendly and light as always.

Turning to where the very sexy accented voice came from, she walked over and had to bite down on her lower lip to stop herself from making embarrassing noises when she saw Cyril handling the horse.
When he called her "Love", like the first time she heard it from him, she melted ad sighed. She didn't even know why he was apologising since she was the doing the exact same thing.
"Yes." She responded distractedly, itching to move forward and run her fingers through his very soft looking hair. Okay Chase, snap out of it. This is only date number one.
"What are we doing here anyway? Because my mind is going straight to horses and are we riding? We're riding aren't we?" She excitedly spilled out her words.

Reid was biting down on her lower lip; did she realize how hot she looked when she did that? She should have known that she really did look especially hot with her biting her lip and red hair pulled back. It did make her look younger but Cyril did not really care too much about how youthful she looked. He found her attractive with her hair pulled back or out. She was in his age range so long as she was twenty or older really. Nineteen might have been close, but they had to have been twenty plus to ride and enjoy this ride. He didn't know that calling her love was a weakness of hers, it was more so how he talked and started to call pretty much everyone when he felt like they would not take it wrong. Pet names were common for people to call one another back where he was from after all. Calling her love was a sign of endearment towards her and that was why he had and would continue to say it unless she brought it up as a concern or desired to not be called by it.
He used to call people 'puppet', but love just flowed a lot better and well puppets were sort of scary to some people while love was just...well simple. He could not really see the whole 'melting' but he heard the sigh and could tell that it was a good one. She gave him a yes and with that he untied Artemis and led him over closer to Reid so she could pet him. He wanted to make sure she was more or less okay with the horse before he just asked her to hop on up with him. Having the saddle already ready for two and since Artemis was a pretty big fellow he could handle the weight of two adults easy. Cyril already looking forward to having to help Reid up onto the saddle. He chuckled as she asked and more or less answered her own question clearly excited which just made him keep his pleased smile.
"Yes. I was wondering if you would like to join me on Artemis here to ride to a special location. That location being the woods were I have prepared out date meal for us." Cyril said, not sure he said that last part clear enough to make sense, but just hoped she understood. Messing with his spiky hair to make sure it was still spiky and also kind of like a good luck pat to himself. "May I lift you up?" Cyril asked, wanting to help her up onto the horse and would do so if she gave him the okay, but only if she gave him the okay.
Reid was pretty unaware of most little things she did affected guys. Yes, she knew she was a looker but she wasn't even aware that a simple lip bite was actually a turn on for guys. Which really worked in her favour, obviously.
His invitation, formal as it was, was met with a wide smile and a nod. A horseback ride to a picnic in the woods? This man was not real. He was...ridiculous, right?
But damn it all if she didn't love it.
She approached the horse and did what she usually did to any animal she wanted to approach, by reaching her hand out slowly. It took a while but the horse finally moved toward her and thankfully didn't eat her hand off.
When Cyril asked if he could lift her, Reid looked at him hesitantly before realising he could probably lift two of her easily with those arms and nodded her consent. "Careful now, don't look up my skirt." She joked. Obviously because she was wearing jeans.

Cyril was pleased to see the wide smile on Reid's face as he laid out what he had planned for their date. It probably was not what she might have really wanted for her first date, but it was the best he could do at the moment. Use his skill with horses and his sort of skill with food for the food for their date. There would be tea and water to drink of course and as for the food, well it was more or less little snacks that with how many he made should have been enough to fill him and her up. He just hoped she liked it all and that she enjoyed herself on this date. He would feel like a failure if she did not, but thus far everything seemed to be going really well. She even was careful about going near Artemis, who was more of a gentle giant with a love of sweet things. The horse had no problem sniffing Reid's hand and not showing any signs of ill will for the woman.
With the horses okay and Reid looking like she was more so comfortable with the animal, Cyril was ready to get to it. Waiting until she gave him the okay and could not help but to look like an innocent little puppy when she teased about not looking up her shirt when she was wearing jeans. "Never, unless you allowed me to. Your smile is more than enough to keep my eyes at an appropriate level love." Cyril said as he would then carefully boost Reid up so she could sit on the saddle. Making sure she more or less was sitting towards the front. Sure when you would ride with someone, the person controlling the horse sat in front and the guest in the back. Cyril wanted to do things different in an attempt to make things a little more comfortable for Reid.
He was a tall guy so if he was in front he would block her view, and he wanted her to be able to see everything 'first' in a way. When she was up on the horse and comfortable, he would make his way up and sit down right behind her. Giving her some space of course so she would not feel uncomfortable. Plus then if she was doing a lot of moving he would not possibly end up in a very awkward position. "Hang onto the saddle or his mane if you feel a bit unsteady." Cyril let Reid know, waiting until she looked ready before giving Artemis a light kick to get the horse to start walking towards the trail in the woods. Taking their time so the ride was sort of smooth and Reid and Cyril could enjoy nature on their way.

Reid couldn't help the affectionate smile on her face when Cyril reassured her that he won't be looking up any skirts. Which turned into a blush at his next statement.
"Are you sure you're single?"
The seating arrangement was a little weird mostly because she thought the rider was supposed to be in front but she felt pretty comfortable in front.
When they started moving, Reid held tightly to the saddle and kept her feet locked around the gentle giant. "I think it'd be better if you tightened our space." She said, looking back slightly so he knew she was talking to him.

Cyril chuckled at Reid's question if he was sure that he was single. "Yes, very single. I have not had much chance to be around many humans in my age group." Cyril pointed out, which was very true since he was mostly around horses and younger girls. Not that he was complaining but when you lived a life like that well you tended to remain single unless you were fine with hooking up with a younger girl. Cyril saw them as little sisters so it was not really possible unless they manage to fool him about their actual age, but that still a small chance that he would actually fall for that sort of trap. There were no complaints from Reid about how they were sitting so he took it as she was fine with it.
He was comfortable and with that they were on the move with Cyril more or less remaining silent and taking it all in. "Tightened in what way? You want me to move closer to you?" Cyril asked, unsure what she meant and he didn't want to end up doing something without being sure. They were on a very tall horse after all and he didn't want to startle her by movement from him that could end up causing her to jump or panic a little, which would affect how the horse was behaving. The birds were chirping and it was a pretty nice day. The path was clear and there was a nice breeze blowing that just made everything just feels so right.

Reid chuckled lightly, just slightly surprised by his relationship status. He was a catch, plain and simple. And she was pretty lucky, if she did say so herself.
Cyril's hesitance made Reid smile lightly. "Yeah. I'm not a classy lady, you can get all up in here if you want." She joked. "I just thought it'd be safer if you were closer so we'd be steady or something." She pointed out.

It would have pleased him to know that Reid thought of him as a catch, he thought he was too. Not like he had a big ego, but come on. With a face and body like his; plus the accent, it was a shame that no one was actually coming forth and talking to him while he was working down at the stables. Maybe they were just all watching in secrete as he would work shirtless down at the stables with the horses. Worried that he was some elitist who would see them all as not in his league. that was not the case of who he was at all, even if he had been something of a jock and one of the popular kids while he was in school. He was an adult now and had a job to worry about over then what others were thinking about him. The light smile had Cyril smiling in return, chuckling a little at Reid pointing out that she was not a classy lady and he could more or less get as close as he wanted.
Well if she was okay with it, he had no problems at all getting a bit more close and personal with her. "I have a hard time believing that you are not classy." Cyril said with something of a sneaky grin on his face. Slowing down the horse for a small moment as he closed the gap between their bodies until he would feel her back resting back against his chest and there was no space between them. Still he made sure they both were still comfortable before picking speed back up again, but just doing just a little faster walk. He was tempted to trot, but he wanted to be sure that Reid had a good grip before he would do that. "I won't let you fall, promise." Cyril said and meant it because even if she did he could use his power on her to stop her before she would even touch the ground. In truth she practically would never have to walk again if that was what she desired.

Cyril's statement made Reid chuckle and pat his knee. "You're too kind, Cyril. You really are. But I think I dropped my class when I joined the police force."
Feeling him move closer, Reid purposely leaned back, still holding on to the saddle. His promise made her smile as she turned to give him a quick kiss on the cheek. Brazen move for sure but there was no way that kind of promise didn't deserve a kiss, no matter how small.
"So where is this picnic?" She asked, looking back to the front.
Post by Cyril Kingsley on Jun 30, 2014 19:18:04 GMT -6
There was a knee pat and words calling him too kind and how she had 'dropped; those classes when she joined the police force. Was he to take that as her admitting to being a bad girl? "I thought the police were supposed to be good, love?" Cyril asked, teasing a little and for sure was flirting a little bit and possibly hinting at something. Was it wrong that a small fantasy about her wearing her cop uniform and stopping by his room suddenly entered his mind? He felt like it was a little bit naughty of him, but she was a very hot cop and he felt like she more or less admitted to not being such a good girl. You could not really blame him then for his mind going off to another place for a moment then really. He really was enjoying feeling her leaning back into him; it meant that she felt comfortable with him. Her being comfortable with him was just adding good sign after good sign in his mind.
There was a kiss to his cheek then that more or less start to stir the 'bad boy' side of Cyril. Causing him to move to return the kiss to her cheek as well, being more or less good while they were on a horse for now. His arms did move to rest sort of around her waist while he kept a hold of the reins. There was the question then that had seemed to be perfectly times. "Right about here." Cyril said as he led the horse off the path a little and into a small clearing where he had the blanket laid out. Stopping the horse and dismounting and going to help Reid off as well before he would move to get everything out of the tree and start to lay out the Sausage Rolls and Scones he had made for them. Then getting the tea and setting everything up after making sure the blanket was clear of any nature.
"I have not learned how to cook many America dishes, so I hope what I made will be okay. If not we can always order some...pizza?" Cyril asked with a friendly smile that had something hidden behind it. They were alone in the woods after all and she had kissed his cheek, but he told himself to be good. It was tea time after all.

Pursing her lips in amusement, she simply shrugged at Cyril's assumption. Oh she was definitely a bad girl. And not even in the ways that made her interesting, although if she were being honest, she was also bad in the more interesting ways too.
If things went well, Reid was sure Cyril would find that out too.
The kiss was a little unexpected but there was definitely no hesitation in accepting it. She chuckled lightly at how chaste everything was between them.
Dropping down from the horse, she purposely held on to Cyril's toned arms longer than she should have before lettig him lead her to the spot.
"Don't worry about it. I'm in favour of international dishes myself and everything looks good anyway." She grinned, looking down at the food. She dropped down and leaned against the tree, propping her knees up under her chin.
"Lemme tell you what, this is my first time going on a picnic as a first date." She admitted, tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear and smiling lightly.

Cyril would have been very pleased to see just how bad of a girl Reid really was and he would have been happy to show her just how much of a bad boy he was. She would not be able to forget him without the help of some mutant’s power to erase her memories when he would be done with her. Not that he was thinking highly of himself, but again this was just a simple fact. If she was really a bad girl, then she would not have a problem at all with how no so gentle Cyril could be. He was not gentle giant like Artemis that was for sure. The kiss was simple and was him basically returning the kind gesture she had given him. A simple cheek kiss was not that big of a deal to him, since he would do it to a younger sibling without a problem. No, if she wanted a big deal reaction out of him, she was going to have to take the training wheels off.
He could feel her holding onto his arms, even past what would have been thought of as the right moment to let go. He of course was not going to complain at all and for sure did flex a little just in case she was wondering just how muscular he was. If she really wanted to know he would not have a problem losing his shirt to show her. "Thank you love. I'm no perfect chef, but everything should be pretty good, but let me know if anything tastes off." Cyril said, knowing he was not some super cook, but he figured he could cook well enough to survive. Just don’t ask him to make any America dishes and the house should not end up getting burned down to the ground. Reid made herself comfortable so after trying up Artemis near some grass he could eat and so just in case he needed to use the bathroom it was nowhere near the food. He then returned and grabbed a seat across from Reid and open up the thermos which had kept the tea he made nice and hot.
He poured her a cup and himself a cup of it before handing her a plate to grab at whatever she felt like taking to eat. It was a very simple date at that, simple and in the woods. He looked to her when she pointed out this was her first time ever going on a date such as this. Cyril being slightly worried but she were smiling a little and even did that very cute thing of tucking her hair behind her ear. "I hope you enjoy yourself with me. Sorry I did not take us to a restaurant or anything, but well you know how lost I can get." Cyril said with a small chuckle and wondered how low he was scoring now for doing this on a first date thing. She probably had been with guys that took her to some five star restaurants for a date and here he was feeding her what he made in the woods.
Reid couldn't help but feel the flexed muscle under her hand and a smile spread across her lips. It had to have been on purpose, not that she was going to complain. Not when she could already imagine him lifting her up in his arms...
Whoa there, lass. Quit while you're ahead. This was only the first date.
She was also pretty sure that he was just calling her that on purpose but again, she had no complaints whatsoever. He could call her love after every few sentences and she would be putty in his hands.
"I'm sure everything is fine. I'm a girl with simple needs."
She accepted the plate graciously and took a few pieces of the food and then leaned back against the tree to enjoy her surroundings. It really was a beautiful place. Cyril must have explored this place before he decided to bring her here.
"Are you kidding me? This beats a restaurant any day." She admitted freely. There was no way she could be comfortable at a restaurant with their three forks and nine plates and whatnot. No way. Hassle free dining was the way to her heart.
"Don't worry, C. I'm not the type to shy away from constructive criticism if they're warranted." She scooted over and patted him on his knee. She bit into the scone, which tasted pretty much how she imagined it to be. "Mmf. Food." She chewed happily.
After swallowing, Reid licked her lips and tilted her head slightly to the left as she looked at Cyril. "So, tell me a little bit about yourself. I know, cliched first date question but let me get to know you."
