POWER INFO:
Chlorokinesis
Tessa can control plants/vegetation/trees movements and/or growth. She is able to ‘communicate’ with them in the sense that she would know if they need water, more sun, more room for their roots, and just overall healthiness.
Tessa is able to manipulate the plant-life around her. For example she could use vines to bind someone, strengthen a tree branch enough to be used in a sword-like way. She could be wearing a small piece of vine as a bracelet and if needed can make the vine sturdy enough and strong enough to be used like a knife.
Tessa also has the ability to revive dead or dying plants or just minor things such as fixing a broken branch. [When she gets to the point of being able to control this she'll be able to bring back a large tree but after, say a week, by doing small healing sessions with the tree, slowly bringing it back to life. This is far far down the road though]
WEAKNESSES/DOWNFALLS:
Unfortunately the plants have a connection to her emotions. When she’s feeling happy and up the vegetation in the surrounding area grows, or perks up, a bit, the plants seem to “come alive”. When she’s feeling down, scared, stressed, etc, the vegetation lashes out at people who get too close to her and she will never be able to control this other then learning how to keep a handle on her emotions (and being a teenager can make that near impossible).
When Tessa uses and manipulates the plants/vegetation, like with the vines or branch mentioned above, she creates a sort of psychic like connection with it. If the branch she was using was broken, burned, chipped, etc. she would feel as if that stuff happened to her and the pain would last for hours after the connection was broken.
When it comes to reviving dead/dying plants it drains her own energy, depending on how big and how many things she’s brought back. Small bushes and other small plants are easier to bring back but always result in bloody noses. Anything larger will also make her dizzy and nauseous until she passes out (The longest time she's been knocked out for so far is 24 hours). She has no control over this ability yet so dead or close to dying plants, if she’s close, they sense her and pull the energy out of her themselves. When the plants do this she feels a sharp pain in her head, her nose bleeds and then she passes out for a day because of how sudden the transfer is.
GENERAL APPEARANCE: Tessa has soft brown eyes, long 'soft-red' hair and stands at five feet, five inches. She feels her ears are a bit to big so usually wears her hair down, or just someway that covers them. She has fair skin and loves it that way.
MUST HAVE APPAREL: Tessa wears chic, must-have recent fashions. Even her ‘lazy day’ clothes have a sense of richness and air to them.
PERSONALITY: Deep down Tessa really is just insecure and lonely. But she’s nothing if not adaptable. She learned at a young age that to show your vulnerabilities or differences makes you a target, and not a good one. So she pushed and buried all that stuff down so all that was left was a fun, outgoing, random individual. An individual who changed her target from being bullied to being a strong, confident person. The kind of person people loved to be around.
She seeks out something new to do each day whether its make a new friend, learn something new or try something new. She loves to be involved in all sorts of activities, which can leave her worn thin if she doesn't manage them right. She’s also known to pick something up, even if it costs money to do so, and then if she doesn't take too it or it just seems boring to her will just drop it. When it does come to friends however, it may seem that she has many, but she doesn't really have anyone really close, best-friend close, because she doesn't really know how to be completely open and honest emotionally with another person because she’s terrified of rejection.
On the other side of the coin, is Tessa’s mean streak. If she feels someone has wronged, insulted, hurt, etc her family, friends(the ones she’d consider a best friend) or self she turns into a complete bitch. Once she feels that you've suffered enough for whatever you did she’ll be back to acting her cheery happy self towards you as if nothing ever happened. Why hold onto grudges once the punishments been doled out? Thankfully, as mentioned, this only happens in those rare cases. She’s usually pretty good at turning a blind eye or deaf ear to insults and such.
EXTRA QUIRK: Its not a good quirk but Tessa has developed an impatient streak. She likes to always be involved and doing something so when she has to wait or sit for long periods of time it drives her crazy and she tends to become antsy.

CHILDHOOD: Tessa was born to Christian and Lilly Andrews on January 5th. Unfortunately, due to complications during the birth Lilly passed away and Tessa was left in the hands of her father. For the first few years Father and Daughter, with the help of a nanny, did great together but as Tessa grew the resemblance between Mother and Daughter grew as well. This was to much for Christian and he found himself delving more into his work. On the plus side he was quickly raised in position and power in the company, providing great wealth to the family. On the negative side his relationship with his daughter become almost non-existent. She was raised by a live-in nanny. Tessa, only being a little older then 2 when her father pulled away, doesn't remember the memory of when they were close but the feelings of abandonment and loneliness after the fact became ingrained into her very being.
As a child she was soft-spoken and shy. When she started her elementary school years she found herself teased for her red hair and occasionally her ears. They also picked on her because she "couldn't" talk. In a class of kids, whom the majority were outgoing, fun seeking children, Tessa was the abstract, outcast kid. Some years were better then others, in that she was able to be 'invisible'.
ADOLESCENCE: After the first horrid year of Jr. High Tessa was ecstatic to hear that they would be moving(for her Fathers work) to Montana. It was at this time that Tessa decided that she'd become someone new. No one would know her, it was the perfect opportunity. So the second year of Jr. High, the students found a Tessa that was outgoing, outspoken, loved to join and participate in any kind of activity. She embraced the family wealth to change her image as well. Within weeks at the new school she had a large group of friends, was involved with clubs, sports, and other random after school activities. While the sports, clubs and activities have come and gone, the one that has stuck with Tessa since this beginning is photography.
After basically following her fathers example of running away(in this case throwing herself into school, the social aspect anyways) she was hardly home and her father deemed her independent enough not to need the extra help to keep an eye on her. While Tess wasn't home much anymore, the loss of the familiar comforting face of her caretaker added more problems to her abandonment and loneliness issues.
Tessa was 13 years old when the first manifestation of her abilities showed. On their property they had a large garden, the center of which stood a tall, old tree. Tessa felt herself drawn to the tree one sunny day during summer and as she stood beneath its barren branches she felt an ache spread through out her body. Suddenly a sharp pain exploded in her head, she screamed, and then blacked out. Luckily the gardener was working that afternoon and saw her fall over. He called her father, who called an ambulance. Tessa woke up exactly 24 hours later, feeling "squeezed" dry, dehydrated and with a minor headache. She was in the hospital for a few days, at her fathers insistence, and when released had no answers for the episode. So it was almost a whole week later that Tessa found herself outside again. She stopped in dead in her tracks as her jaw dropped open. The tree in the center of the garden, the dead one, was fully leafed. The once gray dead bark was now a vibrant brown. It was almost a full year before Tessa figured out that she had some kind of connection with plants, trees, and other kinds of vegetation.
Bellefonte Academy contacted Christian shortly after the manifestation of Tessa's abilities. Despite their strained, almost non-existent relationship, Christian refused to let Tessa move to the other end of the state, and Tessa was over-joyed at this revelation. It was proof to Tessa that he really did care about her, even if she was a freak. So she stood on his side of the line. It wasn't until her 16th birthday, after an incident with the rose bushes attacking the caterer that Bella talked her dad into calling the Academy. She needed to learn control, somehow.
Now she finds herself on the way to the Bellefonte Academy.

SAMPLE: Tessa sat on the edge of the suede leather chair that was positioned across directly from her father. Her eyes shot all around the room. Painting, bookcase, globe, computer, the tie her father was wearing. They were everywhere but her fathers face. Her luggage was already on the way to the school and the family driver had gone to pull the car to the front. Peeking up through her eyelashes at her dad, she saw him fidget. It was a small, almost invisible, move but Tessa knew her dad. That fidget confirmed that this farewell was as awkward and nerve-wracking to him as it was to her.
How did you say goodbye to someone that you aimed to please but wasn't around to notice? And if he did he never said anything. At one time Tessa was convinced her father didn't even want her but it was his insistence that she stay with him a few years ago that made her see a different side of him. He was fiercely protective. He was back to his distant self once the school backed off but that show had given Tess hope. Neither of them pursued a better relationship though and a stab of guilt ran through her at this thought. She kept wishing he'd make some move to build it. Some move that'd show to her he was her father and he loved her. Now she wondered if maybe he just didn't know how to approach her since she was so grown. She should have made the first move. Now in this moment of goodbye neither party could find the strength or courage to say anything.
A soft knock on the door drew both of their eyes to the door. A balding, thin man in a black suit stood there. "The car is ready, Sir," he said.
"Thank you, Jameson. Tessa will be right out."
Tessa stood once the driver had left. As her back turned on her father she felt tears fill her eyes. She was stopped in her tracks as her father finally spoke to her, now that she wasn't facing him.
"Tess...remember you can come home anytime you like, even if I have to fight the school to get you back." His voice was choked, as if he was holding back tears as well. A moment of silence passed, followed by him clearing his throat then continued, "Now, make sure to email me with updates about your schooling and...other learning. I'll deposit your allowance into the checking account I set up for you so make sure not to lose your bank card. If you need anything else let me know."
Tess nodded, a small smile on her lips, her cheeks wet with silent tears. "Yes sir," she said simply. Right before closing the door behind her Tessa added, loud enough for her father to hear, "I love you, Dad."
