Wearing Fake Crowns while Faking Frowns

Prom had finally ended as did her time with Riley, which was a bummer but hey, what could you do? If anything Vera was just grateful to be asked to prom in such a display by someone who she really liked, cared for and claimed as a really good friend. Even though that suit he was in gave her the urge to want to fuck him right then and there in public. Maybe she should have found her way to his dorm instead? No, no, she would've totally embarrassed herself and what if he didn't even want her like that? Or what if he already had a chick waiting on him at his dorm, with her prom dress hardly managing to stay on her body? Fuck, maybe she should have gone to check. Maybe Riley wanted a threesome? No, no, Vera what the hell are you thinking?

Well, instead of going back to her dorm to change for the after party that the Bellefontes were throwing, she found herself still in her gown and in front of a dorm. Now, Vera was somewhat wasted and this time it wasn't on purpose... or was it? Someone had spiked the multiple punch bowls and throughout the whole night Vera kept drinking the punch even though she had an idea it was tainted with drunken goodness. She sort of wondered if she kept herself together in front of Riley but couldn't really remember. Was that bad?

During prom, Vera had noticed Devyn with a date, a really cute girl but she hadn't had the chance to say hi. So Vera had asked around to find out where Devyn's dorm had been only to find out that Devyn was a girl and not a guy and for some reason that didn't bother Vera. People would soon figure out that Vera had a thing for girls as well as guys seeing how Dirty Laundry seemed to be quick on updating others on people's secrets. Not like it mattered, everyone at BA ended up fucking each other anyway. Wait, why was she here anyway? Oh yeah, because she wanted to speak to Dev about something... in which she had no idea to what it was but it was something. Was this even a good idea?

Whatever. Vera knocked on the door with her heels in one hand and a cup of punch in the other. Hopefully Devyn was in her dorm by now, if not, Vera would be standing there looking pretty stupid.

Prom was over and there was that after party to go to, that would likely be going on long past the time Zoe would pass out. Yet Devyn found herself not in the mood to go to the after party, feeling a little more so on the drained side. Prom had been fun, there had been the little bumps along the way but Devyn was pretty sure that was how it was always going to be for her whenever she was in a relationship with someone. It was like she had a set time limit to hanging out with someone if she was not going to be getting any. Not that Devyn didn't get anything, she got something...at least she thought she did. She didn't have much to drink but she was not fully sure what had all happened to her and Zoe at the moment (because it didn't happen yet silly Devyn). She just knew that Zoe was in her room, asleep in her bed. Devyn had personally tried to sleep but she was feeling restless and eventually managed to get out of the entwinement with Zoe's body and headed off to the bathroom.

After doing her business she felt her stomach growl and found herself hungry, noting that she didn't actually have anything to eat. Moving as silently as she could, she snuck out of her room, closing the door behind her and went to the kitchen in the common area of her door room. She was not even sure where any of her roommates were at the moment. She just knew that she didn't see or hear any of them in at the moment and even if they were here it didn't bother her none. She was not even sure what her relationship was with her roommates anymore, but that was to be worried about later. Devyn was munching on some bacon she had heated in the microwave when she heard the door knock, staring at it for a moment, and wondering who would be knocking at this hour.

She moved to answer it anyways with some bacon still hanging out on purpose as she slowly munched on it. Devyn had changed a while ago out of what she was wearing at prom. Instead was wearing some workout pants, and a white t-shirt with her necklaces still all. "Vera? What’s u-oh wow you look good." Devyn said almost dropping her bacon out of her mouth when she opened the door and saw Vera in her grown. What it wear 'dresses that showed your shoulders and was firm to your skin to tease Devyn' night? Devyn was wondering that a little as she could not help but stare and let her eyes lingered down over the frame, noticing that Vera seemed to not doing so well at standing well on her own. Must be drunk. Wonder if I'll have to take care of someone else who is hangover. Devyn thought to herself as she opened the door fully and was ready to help Vera in if she needed to. "Come in. I was just munching on some bacon, want any?" Devyn asked because it was only polite to share bacon, even if you didn't want to fully.

She was sure that she heard footsteps walking about inside but then again, it was probably her own imagination but before she even had the thought of giving up and going to her room, Devyn had finally opened the door. Vera had spotted Devyn earlier and thought that she looked really good but something about her being in comfortable clothing had really impressed Vera. Impressed as in Vera thought she looked really hot the way she was. Shaking out of her current thoughts, she smiled at Devyn who seemed to be admiring Vera as well.

Looking down at her dress, she nodded as her bright smile stayed on her face. "Thanks. I-I don't know what I'm still doing in this. I guess I should have changed." But then Devyn had opened her door up a bit more as an invitation to come in, as well as bacon. How the hell could she deny bacon? Bacon had to have been made from the magnificent butt crack of cupid, himself. If that even made sense...

"Uh-Sure! I love bacon." Admitting as she walked into the dorm, looking around. It was really nice but it would probably be less likely to be dirty seeing how she was probably rooming with all females. Vera had seen some of the male dorms and they were just... a mess. She tried to lower her tone since she figured that Devyn's roommates might have been asleep or something or even that cute girl she had been with, may have been over. You never really knew. Though, having to lower your tone and attempting in not sounding drunk had to be the most difficult tasks to do together.

Taking a seat on a stool in the kitchen area, she looked at Devyn and smiled. "Thought I'd tell you that you and your date looked reaaaallly nice today. I mean like, ho-how was your day today and everything, with everything going on and stuff. You know? Oh! Do you like the hair? I know it was different last time we got to see each other... or it was fully here and now it's like half gone." She motioned at her hair.


God she was starting to sound like a mess. Maybe slowing down would help just a tad bit.

"Well I'm happy that I got to see an up close view of you in it. I could lend you something if you are eager to get out of it and I would not mind helping." Devyn said with a sly smirk, already going to the flirting because she could not help it and she still remembered what Vera did to her. Not giving a number and leaving her with a kiss that was just messed up. Devyn already had plans to get back at Vera in some way and now that Vera was here, she had the opportunity to. The only small problem was that Vera was drunk and Devyn was not the type who was a fan of taking advantage of someone’s drunken state. She hated it when guys did it and she pretty much vowed to play it safe as best as she could and make sure that she at least had a high enough confidence that someone did actually want something from her.

"It should be against the law to not love bacon. Unless you have some medical condition or something." Devyn said with a small shrug, closing the door and locking it behind Vera once she came in. Then headed back over the kitchen to pick up the plate of bacon as she munched on the last bit that was in her mouth. Holding out the plate to Vera as she herself grab another slice of bacon. Devyn's room was indeed clean; it was not spotless other than the kitchen really. Devyn liked to cook and she had been told early on to always make sure your kitchen was really clean. Devyn always made sure to keep the common area at least somewhat neat and her room to that same standard. She did have a military father after all, even if he was dead. There was the complement about Devyn and her date followed by what seemed to be a topic change to find out how Devyn's day was. Then onto Vera's hair that just had Devyn smiling in an amused yet pleased way.

"Thank you. Your date was pretty hot too. Didn’t want to go over and mess with your good time." Devyn pointed out since she did see Vera at prom, but didn't really approach anyone, not wanting to get in the way of anyone’s fun or anything like that. "I have been alright, going to have a nice scar after that whole SPECTRE thing. How are you holding up?" Devyn asked as she moved to sit on the other stool with Vera, wondering if the other girl was honestly comfortable in that dress. Devyn knew she could never wear a dress, even if her life depended on it. "I love your hair. Still hot as ever Vera. Pretty sure you could shave it all off and I would still think you were sexy as hell." Devyn said with a small smirk as she munched on some more bacon, just being honest. She did not mind that Vera was drunk, loud, or what have you. She understood that the punch was spiked and some people liked to party hard so it was not big deal to her.

Her eyes lit up as she stood from where she sat, only to stumble a bit but she was okay. "Oh my god, like could you do that for me please? As much as I love this thing-dress, it's not as comfortable as it looks." Vera hadn't really thought twice about her answer which was fine but she couldn't stay in the darn thing forever. Besides, Devyn had offered to let her borrow clothes, who the hell would say no. That smirk had been a little tempting though, as if Devyn knew what cards she had been playing. The bad thing was, Vera had totally forgot about the

Taking a slice of the offered bacon, Vera nodded her head as she munched away. Ugh, it was so good. She placed her shoes on the floor next to her. "Hell yeah, I mean... how could you not love bacon? It's like making out with a unicorn... If I knew what making out with a unicorn felt or tasted like." She giggled, which was rare but making out with a unicorn was a funny image. OH WAIT, What, what if it was half man half unicorn. Would making love to it be better than bacon? Oh gosh, what?

"You're welcome and thanks! He is hot isn't he? I was like, so tempted to molest the hell out of him. Or like confess my dying need to have his children, or that I just want to have a starring contest all day." If anything, Vera probably didn't need any more drinks. It wasn't like her to ever spill anything, especially a crush or whatever it was that she had for Riley. What was worse was that Devyn probably didn't want to hear about it anyway.

When Devyn mentioned a scar, Vera's brows furrowed. The whole SPECTRE thing made her want to throw up, she had done such a good job not having to think about it the whole day and now she had to find out that Devyn had been hurt. Wasn't she on the distraction team? "Sorry to hear. At least you made it out alive but if it wasn't for you guys, we probably would've died or something. I've been alright physically but mentally, not at all." Vera had been a complete mess after the whole SPECTRE Rescue thing had gone down but then again, she had always been a mess. Seeing dead bodies didn't help the matter either.

Though, when Devyn complimented her hair, it made her smile a bit. "Thanks, I'm still getting used to it." Which was weird because she decided on the new look herself, you'd think she was ready to get used to it by now.

Vera was standing and then almost falling, but seemed to be able to catch herself without Devyn having to move in and try to catch her. Why did drunken people seem to think they could still move around and do the things they did normally? They had to understand that they did not react to things as quick and moving too fast could cause the room to spin or for them to get sick. Well...with how their minds were then it was understandable that they did not actually realize that. Devyn smiled as Vera accepted her offer to give her a change of clothing and help her out of the dress. "It would be my pleasure. Give me a sec." Devyn said keeping her smirk as she moved off to her room, still moving silently as she grabbed some sweat pants and a matching hoodie to go with it. That way Vera would be able to wear something comfortable that she could still walk around in, while out in the public.

Devyn came back and laid the outfit on the counter for Vera to use while the other girl started to talk about what bacon was like. Devyn never once heard someone compare it to making out with a unicorn and actually did not like them at all. They were just too...well stupid. Even still she could not help but to chuckle as Vera went on about how she didn't actually know what one felt or tasted like and Devyn hoped for everyone on the entire planet Earth never would find out such a thing. The giggle was cute, but Devyn found most giggles cute. Devyn just started to laugh after Vera went on about what she wanted to do with her fate. Well it was good to know that Vera had a crush on someone and that she had no shame about talking about what she wanted to do with him. Granted Devyn didn't really need to know about wanting to have someone’s babies. "Why are you not back at his room right now?" Devyn asked, bringing up what she felt was a good point.

If Vera wanted to do that to her date why had she not done it when they left or invited him back to her room? Instead she was in Devyn’s room, drunk, and at least appeared to be enjoying herself. Devyn didn't mind Vera being here at all, but she did hold a finger to her lips to at least point out that Vera did need to speak a little quitter. More so for the fact that not only could she wake someone up but then if someone did hear her then word would get out about what Vera wanted to do with the boy. "Don't be sorry. I have a tone of scars, just adds to the collection and gives me a story to tell the next time I'm in bed with someone." Devyn said with a smirk, not messed up by the whole event because she had dealt with death before and she also didn't remember any of what happened since she lost control over her power and blacked out when that happened and ended. Devyn gave a concerned look as she moved to put an arm around Vera when the other girl admitted she was not doing so well mentally.

"Want to talk about it? Might help with how you are feeling." Devyn offered up, not sure how much help she would be, but she could try for her friend. She did count Vera as something of a friend even if she didn't have too many dealings with the other girl. Yet she was having a feeling that she was going to start having a lot more and was not regretting it for a second. "You wear it well. Tempted to run man hands in it." Devyn said as her smirk reappeared on her face but it was still mixed with actually caring about Vera in the ways of wanting to make sure her friend was alight. Her eyes did flick to the dress and then the clothing she had gave Vera, wondering if Vera was going to let her stick around while she got changed.

"It would be my pleasure. Give me a sec."

Her hazel eyes followed Devyn as she went to grab Vera some clothes. Vera had been more than grateful, if anything. The sooner she was able to get out of the dress, the better. Once the clothes were set on the counter, Vera eyed them before looking back at Devyn. "Thanks, I really appreciate it." She picked up the clothes and noticed it had been sweat pants and a hoodie. It was perfect.

Not really caring if Devyn had mind or not, she started to slip the top of her dress down her shoulders as she turned around to face the opposite direction, showing her back to Devyn. The question of why she hadn't gone to Riley instead kind of left her confused herself but she knew exactly why. Drunk or not, truth always spilled at out of her mouth. "I don't know..." She said as she smiled to herself, slipping her gown down further only to reveal her black push-up and matching panties. "I guess I'm scared of rejection? Shy? It's been a while since I've had a serious 'thing' for someone. One minute you find yourself really feeling someone and the next you end up heartbroken. Been there done that." She chuckled as she stepped out of her gown which was now on the ground and started putting on the clothes Dev let her borrow. "When we had to rescue the students, all I could think about was his safety over everything. I was scared as shit. I guess I'm scared that I've found myself liking someone that much." The rumors about Riley hadn't helped either but they were easy to shove off because he acted so different to her compared to those rumors.

Once she had the clothes on, Vera picked up her gown and folded it as she turned around to face Devyn. She made a 'oops sorry' face when Devyn motioned for her to keep it down. "It looks like you're pretty proud of your collection then." She smiled at Devyn's optimistic nature, it was comforting, especially when she put an arm around her. Vera hardly let out to her deepest inner issues but something about them, or her state of mind at this current moment just made her want to let it out. Her eyes shifted up to lock onto Devyn's. "Have you ever felt like you were changing but... you just never expected it would be like, like, so opposite of what you thought it would be?"

Vera folded her arms and looked down letting her mind go into deep thought before shifting in her stance. "I'm already fucked up." She let out a short small laugh. "And, and I don't mean because I'm wasted. I mean, like... up here." She pointed at her head and smiled as she whispered, "I'm a fuckin' mess up there." This had been true for the past few weeks. Vera had done a great job looking as if everything about her was together when in reality, she was confused and scared. Her life goals were changing, her powers were moving faster than her, she was having nightmares when she thought they'd gone away and panic attacks and she was angrier than usual. One moment she was fine and the next she was having post traumatic stress episodes. It was all probably because she was an inch away from death almost four years ago and she survived while her parents didn't.

Now it was all catching up to her. 

How could she explain it to Devyn and expect her to understand when she didn't even get it, herself. If anything, she felt as if she was bothering Dev. Maybe this wasn't a good idea.

"No problem. Have to help a fellow girl out. I hate dresses and if I was in one I would be begging to have a change of clothing, or just walk around without anything on." Devyn pointed out and gave a small chuckle because she really would walk around with nothing if she had to be in a dress. She just really didn't like them at all, they were not her style and she didn't think they would look good on her. Not that she could confirm that since she had never actually worn one in her entire seventeen years of life. Right now however Devyn was pretty much distracted as Vera just turned around and went to changing right then and there. Devyn was not even trying to play off that she was watching, she had no shame, and Vera didn't tell her not to look so she was looking. Green eyes lingering over the other girl’s body and noting the taste in Vera's undergarment choice. Only pulled out of the gutter and her stare when Vera started to answer her question about why she was not with her date at the moment.

"Ah, I know the feeling." Devyn said, since she honestly did, having gone through heart break twice when she was younger. Once with a girl she loved and the next with a guy she loved. Both feelings either never fully returned or to be never returned at all. That’s why she didn't like to deal with love, it was just messy and she preferred to just take things as for fun and enjoy them without thinking about love and other complicated things. She could not understand the whole fear of rejection because that never was a fear of hers, always seeing it better to just come out and say it and take it as things happened. Sure it didn't feel good to be turned down but at least you got that icky feeling out of the way before you fell even harder for the person and stuck around them longer hoping it would change something. Funny how she was sort of doing that with Zoe at this point. Well less funny and more so the fact that she was pretty much doing the same thing to Zoe. Tagging her along in hopes that maybe she might change how she felt but was not seeing any luck.

"Ah, so you must be crushing on him bad if you were thinking about him instead of the people you were supposed to be saving." Devyn noted, more of an out loud observation, but a true one either way. She didn't really have a clue that Vera was crushing on someone this hard. She wanted to advice Vera to not be so serious about it, but did she have a right to give relationship advice when she had a record of being a heart breaker or at least relationships only lasting a few months? Devyn's eyes watched the folded pile of dress be placed on the counter and then looked back over to Vera, just smiling a little at Vera look of apology for being so loud. It was not all that big of a deal and would be easy to explain that Vera was just drunk is all. "I am. It’s part of who I am and I'm one who thinks you should except every part of yourself, even if others might think it’s a flaw...it makes you different from someone else." Devyn pointed out because that was how she saw it. Someone could look like her but they would not have all the same tattoos as she did the same scares, and the same stories to go with the scars. She was unique.

Devyn kept her arm around Vera and sort of rubbed at the other girls shoulder, looking right back into Vera's eyes as she looked at her and started speaking. Asking a question about changing and how it was the opposite. Devyn not really understanding at first, but thought she did. Yet she decided to remain silent on the question, letting her mind try to make sure she understood it before she answered. Still focusing on Vera's words. A concerned look started to appear and remain as the smirk went away as Vera said that she was basically messed up. Messed up in the head and it had Devyn wondering what she meant by that. It didn't take long for her to figure it out since the whole SPECTRE thing happened and she figured that had to be what Vera was talking about. "No, you’re not fucked up at all. You are just handling what happened to you is all. Everyone deals with this sort of thing differently after all." Devyn pointed out knowing that some were probably losing sleep, others having nightmares, while others just accepted it and moved on with their life.

Devyn was the latter. She knew she could not change the past and felt that it was stupid to dwell on things. Even if she had lost a friend she was going to try and think of the good with them instead of the bad. It hurt less that way and she didn't feel weak then. She had to live on for them and to just get better. That was how she saw it. "I know for some talking about it helps, others need a distraction, and some just like to keep it to themselves and deal with it their own way. Either way...I'm here for you if you want to talk about it Vera." Devyn said honestly, speaking in a softer tone as she moved to give a soft kiss on Vera's forehead. Not trying to be sexual or anything, but comforting.

"Yeah crazy, right?" Actually it sounded absolutely insane now that Devyn had said it that way. The most important thing about that mission was so that they got the kidnapped students out of there, as well as everyone else and safe. Yeah, Vera's mind had been on the objective at hand but she couldn't stand there and lie as if Riley's safety hadn't meant the most to her. Well, she also cared about Xander and a few others as well so it wasn't that bad. Right?

Oh God, she was going to turn into one of those crazy chicks who spent their days thinking about their crushes and while having worship centers in their closet like Helga from Hey Arnold. That wasn't who Vera was, at all. Maybe if she had told him about her current feeling she'd feel better. Maybe. Devyn talked about accepting yourself and Vera agreed wholeheartedly. She always believed in being herself and making sure others accepted that. You'd be an idiot to not realize Devyn had been the same way.

She noticed Devyn's smirk fading and that's when she most certainly realized that it was a bad idea. Vera didn't want to weird Devyn out but it was true. She closed her eyes and smiled when she kissed her forehead. It was nice to know she had Devyn there for her, even if Vera had played her after their kiss which she was kind of regretting now. Being a tease and all. Even though Dev had assured her that she wasn't fucked up, Vera still felt differently. Something within her was a total mess and she couldn't wait until she got it figured out. "Thank you."

Lifting her head, she opened her eyes and looked up at Devyn. "So when were you gonna tell me that you're a girl? I mean I guess it doesn't matter but I guess it's my fault for thinking different. You're still hot either way." And no, that wasn't the alcohol talking...

"Indeed, but I've dealt with people who views others that way too. That only that one person is important and nothing else is so I can't think badly of you or anything." Devyn responded, not knowing what else to say to that since she personally did think it was a bit crazy. Yet she herself was willing to do almost anything to protect someone from harm, but she had never really had the issue of someone she liked being on her mind for long periods of time. Maybe here and there when certain things would pop up she would remember them, but other than that not really. She was already unhealthy possessive and just didn't see the point in adding creepy stalker thinking about them all the time way. Granted...even that was thinking on the extreme side of things and she didn't know or understand just how much Vera liked this guy. A guy that Devyn didn't even really know the name of or anything about since it was not something that had interested her enough yet.

Devyn was pretty hard to weird out so if anything Vera would have just made Devyn feel a little bit bad that she might not be giving her the right advice or saying the right things to make her feel better. Devyn was better at physically comforting someone then she was verbally. All she knew was just telling someone to take it easy, just let it out, lie down, and just fall asleep while she held them close. That had done the trick for pretty much every female she had dealt with and some males. It seemed to be even working a little bit right now with Vera as she saw the eyes close and the smile appear on her face when Devyn gave a kiss on her forehead. Sure Devyn didn't forget the whole teasing, but she could get back at Vera another day. Right now Vera was letting off some pain or sharing deep things with Devyn; at least she figured that was what was happening, so she felt that it was only right to be on her best behavior.

"No problem. That’s what friends are for. Even if one of those friends still owes me a number and a chance for me to get back at them for that tease after I carried them on my back." Devyn teased a little at the end, a warm smile appearing back on her face but she still behaved and kept an arm around Vera. Still rubbing at the other girl's shoulder in an attempt to help sooth her. Then there was the question that had Devyn chuckling. "Well if you would have asked I would have told you, but I tend to like people finding out themselves. Possibly in the moment when I'm laying them back on a bed and planning on getting real personal with them." Devyn admitted with yet another chuckle as she messed with her hair a little bit. "Thanks, you are pretty hot yourself and even if you were a guy I still tap that." Devyn half teased, but she was bi so really Vera could have been male or female and as long as she was the way she was now, well yeah Devyn could have some fun with her.

"Indeed, but I've dealt with people who views others that way too. That only that one person is important and nothing else is so I can't think badly of you or anything."

As assuring as it sounded, Vera still felt pretty weird. It felt like a crush but only on a grown up level. Did adults have crushes still? Or was it just pretty much 'Lets fuck until we figure out if our attraction for each other makes us compatible'? Either way Vera wasn't too sure. She wasn't sure if she liked this feeling and wanted it to stay or if she wanted it gone. Damn it! She needed another drink.

The mentioning of the number put a smile on Vera's face as she soon tried to hide it. She thought that by now Devyn would've probably had forgot all about it. Or maybe not. Vera was all about giving some but not giving it all, or too much. She could be a real tease if she wanted to. The ball was always in her court, or so she beilieved.

Stepping away from Dev, she smiled slyly as Vera pointed at her. "Now now, it's not like I wasn't going to giiiive you my number. Just thought maybe you could work for it, you know... just to keep you on your toes." Yeah, she knew payback was coming for her, Vera just had to figure out when.

On the subject of Dev being a girl, Vera shrugged as she smiled. "Either way, I think it's really hot... the mystery of it all. Your girl is lucky."

Devyn could not really do much for Vera in terms of helping Vera get through what she was going through. Yes Devyn had gone through it before but it was already pretty clear that they dealt with things different. Well at least it seemed like it was clear that they did things differently. Devyn just didn't want to give her advice that might not help her out. Heck, who was she kidding? "You should just hang out with him sometimes. Aim for things going on like you are just friends and just see how things go. Try not to think so much about how you feel about him and just enjoy your time together." Devyn went ahead and suggested, giving her shoulders a shrug since that was what she would do and it was the best she could come up with that might help Vera.

Of course Vera would do what she wanted because that was the kind of girl that Vera was and Devyn respected her for being honest and herself, even if she was a drunk Vera at the moment. There was no way that Devyn was going to ever forget about not getting that number and being left with a hot kiss. Vera was stepping away which had Devyn letting out a low growl, she didn't like her 'prey' moving away from her. Moving even closer to Vera now when Vera would be still again. If you moved away from Devyn she moved even closer to you, closing the distance until she was basically breathing on you and leaving little space between her body and the preys body. "My toes huh? More like leaving me wanting. Good thing I'm not too much of a wild animal that I didn't kick your door down." Devyn teased as she smirked slyly at Vera. "So will I get your number before you leave tonight? Or am I going to work to get it out of you?" Devyn asked as her voice dropped to more of a whisper, clearly flirty now, really not able to help herself.

There was a shrug with a smile as Vera informed Devyn that she thought the mystery of it all was hot and that her girl was lucky. Devyn's sly smirk faltered at that last part and she could not help but to scoff at that. "I'm not really all that great at being girlfriend material. She could do a lot better than me." Devyn admitted but the smile was still there as Devyn shoved away such thoughts from her mind, going to get another piece of bacon and eat it. "Are you planning on going to the after party of Hot And Wasted One?" Devyn asked, temped to have that be Vera's nickname from now on.

"You should just hang out with him sometimes. Aim for things going on like you are just friends and just see how things go. Try not to think so much about how you feel about him and just enjoy your time together."

The idea was a good idea. Vera honestly had no real reason to be shy, nor did she have an idea why she was so shy about the subject. Had it been anyone else crushig on someone else, she'd been like 'GO FOR IT', 'DON'T BE SUCH A WIMP' and now she was doing just that... being a wimp. This didn't change the fact that Vera gave Devyn a face that screamed 'Are you crazy?' Or maybe she was just better off being approached like she was used to. Was that being cocky or just plain safe? Either way, Vera would just play it safe, plain and safe... for now.

When Vera had moved from Devyn, Devyn had closed the space between them once again. This didn't bother Vera, at all but she found it interesting. She smiled slyly, "You're gonna to have to work for it." She let her tone match Devyn's as she bit her bottom lip and looked at her. With how she was decoding Devyn's body language, it was more than clear that she wasn't girlfriend material. Instead of being snuggled up with her girl somewhere, Devyn had been out here with her. If that wasn't enough, the shadow beast had been getting pretty damn close. Not that it bothered her but could she blame her? It was pretty clear that they were both attracted to one another.

Vera moved in front of the plate of bacon, blocking Devyn from as she smiled up at her and tugged on her tank a bit. "Yeah, I am... Don't tell me you're not going?"

Devyn chuckled at the facial expression she got back from Vera, unable to help the fact that the chuckle escaped her lips. She was not really laughing at Vera for being a wimp or anything, but more so at the fact that it was pretty amusing to see Vera acting like this over a guy. She must really like him. Devyn thought to herself, but was having a hard time understanding it herself still. She did in the past, or at least she could have related to the feeling, but now she was smart. She was not going to avoid falling head over heels for someone. From seeing how others acted when they were in 'love' and thinking back to how she acted, she didn't want to be a part of it. It was drama, it was stress, and it seemed like things would end up ending in the end. Why waste time worrying about love and how much someone liked you? If they were attracted to you, you were to them, and you got along then all there was to worry about was if you wanted to use protection or nor and that the other person was clean.

That was how Devyn's mind thought about the subject anyways. Even if she knew she was starting to feel something a little more for Zoe. Not that she admit it or think about it too much. That was other pretty boys and girls that she could have fun with and not worry about a power getting in the way. Vera was one of them. One that Devyn knew her power did something interesting if she was having a little on the big kids’ side of fun. It was a habit of Devyn to close back the distance between herself and her pretty when they moved away, so it was Vera's fault for moving. Vera's fault if she thought she was going to escape from Devyn so easily. She had to work to get a number out of Vera. Oh joy, one of those girls that loved to give you a challenge. Devyn was all for a challenge, but did not mean she always liked them, even less when she had been teased out of getting what she wanted. "Mmm, I see. How does one work for it for Vera?" Devyn asked, still remain close and really wanting to know. Sure she could figure it out, but it didn't hurt to ask to see what would possibly make it a little easier.

But it was very true that Devyn was not girlfriend material. She could be if she was asked to be in a closed (normal) relationship and she was getting out of a person what she wanted. There was Zoe's power that was honestly preventing Devyn for wanting to just be solely Zoe's, but Zoe was Devyn's. It was unfair, but this was Devyn and that was just how she was. Yes, Devyn would not deny that she was attracted to Vera. She had been as soon as well she first met Vera and after a few spoken words. She would love to get to know her better on different circumstances, but also was fine with just ending up friends. Sometimes friendship was better, even if there would be the hidden lust behind it; well in Devyn case, not hidden lust. Vera said that she was going, Devyn distracted for a moment at the other girl pulling on the tank.

"I'm not. If I go there, I'm likely going to end up sleeping with at least three people and waking up in someone’s bed. Zoe would wake up then and possibly freak out if I was not there." Devyn responded simply, not even worried about the sleeping part in terms of Zoe and more so just the fact that Zoe would be scared probably with Devyn not being there when she would wake. Devyn smirked at Vera then as she licked her lips and just went to lean in to give Vera a kiss, being sneaky however and would go to kiss right next to Vera's lips if Vera didn't move.

She cracked a smile as she rolled her eyes at Devyn when she chuckled. It was super clear how Devyn felt about relationships or maybe it wasn't, Vera wasn't too sure. Either way she could tell something just by Devyn's body language each time they spoke about her crush or Devyn being with someone. Honestly, Vera was here and flirting with Devyn while she could have been cuddled up with her girlfriend somewhere. Maybe she wasn't the relationship type? Well it would be interesting to see what type she really was.

Her hazel eyes focused on Devyn's lips before she looked back up at her eyes. One of her more sly smiles came into play. Her voice dropped down a few notches, "See now that's the fun part. You'd have to figure that out and if you hit the jackpot... then you win the prize." And she was pretty sure that Devyn knew what the prize consisted of, if not, Vera would had no problem reminding her. The fact that Devyn had to stop herself from going to a party just so she didn't end up sleeping with others had told Vera how extreme Devyn's 'freedom' really was. The bad part was the fact that Vera didn't want to hold back because of it. Or at least the alcohol in her system didn't want her to.

Next thing she knew, Devyn had went for a kiss near her lips but Vera moved just a bit to make sure that it connected. Her eyes closed as pressed her plump lips against Devyn's. Only to cut the kiss short as she moved to Devyn's jawline and left a trail of kisses all the way to her ear. Her voice went into a whisper, "Or you could play with me for a bit and still get back to Zoe... in time." Vera always chose the right words when it came to getting what she wanted and as of right now what she wanted was right in front of her.

If Devyn couldn't tell now then hopefully the attention Vera's lips and tongue were giving Devyn's earlobe would be more than enough of a clue.
