Can You Swim?

Blake had called out her body to go out to the pool with her. She knew Sorcha's power, thought it was really cool and badass, but she had several questions. That’s to copying Lordon's power when Lordon was around the same time Sorcha was, Blake was able to read into Sorcha's head and get most of her question answered. Yeah she knew it was an invasion of privacy, but she could not help it. When you had two smoking hot roommates you wanted to know all you could about them. Even more so when both your roommates seemed perfectly fine walking around in almost next to nothing, not that Blake was complaining or anything like that. Still, even after her little reading of Sorcha’s mind, there were still a few unanswered questions Blake had. One, being if Sorcha would be cool with her snagging her power and the two of them could like just go all werejaguar and just do something. While the second, was if Sorcha could swim?

Sure it might have seemed like a silly question but this was important to know when summer was rolling around and basically here. That meant it was time to break out the bathing suites and hit the water in the pool or the lake. Blake loved her water activities after all and plus getting to see all the attractive male and female adults in their swimwear was an added bonus. So then that was why she had the question. She wanted to know if she was going to be able to see Sorcha in a swimsuit for one but mainly it was just because Sorcha could turn into a big cat. Cats could swim yes, but most of them did not actually enjoy water and did not look like very good swimmers. So then, could Sorcha swim? Surly in her human form Blake figures the other woman would be able to swim but what about in her other form. Regardless Blake invited her out to join her at the pool, not really saying that she wanted to see if Sorcha could swim but that she wanted to show her something at the pool.

“Thanks for coming by the way, especially on a hot day like this. Even if we are inside, still a bit warm.” Blake said all casual like, not trying to directly hint that she had plans on either asking Sorcha to hop on into the pool or pushing her in. The last might not have been such a good idea, but sometimes when you just wanted to know something, you did crazy things.

An invitation for some poolside relaxing was an unexpected, yet pleasant offer from one of Sorcha's roommates. She got along well enough with her dorm mates, though she wasn't super close with either of them. She'd just sort of assumed that they tolerated her late night shenanigans and went about their own business during the day and whenever she happened to be around. Asking her to hang out could potentially be an excuse to sit her down and reprimand her for her habits, but it could also just be an excuse to hang out. The other woman hadn't exactly sounded irritated when the shifter had spoken to her.

Besides, it gave her an excuse to walk around in next to nothing without being reprimanded for it. She'd slipped into a black bikini, draped a towel over her shoulder and wrapped a leopard print sarong around her waist, which she'd picked up at one point because she'd thought it was funny. A pair of large, slightly square sunglasses covered her eyes and she'd decided against wearing anything on her feet. It was getting warm outside, but the cement around the pool shouldn't be unbearably hot to stand on quite yet.

She gave a wave as she sauntered up to the pool area and spotted Blake already there. She never had been very good at getting places on time. "Not a big deal. I like the pool and I don't mind hanging out with people," she replied with a shrug, dropping her towel onto the closest deck chair and taking a seat. She stretched and placed her hands on the seat of the chair behind her, leaning her weight back on them. It was awfully warm out, but the sun felt nice on her skin, particularly since she didn't often get to show so much of it out on the campus.

Blake had no problem with Sorcha’s odd hours or her lack of wearing too much clothing around the dorm room. With a body like Sorcha’s there was no reason to have a problem with it, plus Blake was kind of use to males and females alike being around her without much clothing. She sometimes got the feeling that her friends must have thought she was asexual or something with how they would have her staring at them. She was a good friend in the end so was always on her best behavior, but that did not stop the looks and did not always stop the thoughts she had. She had tons of crushes over the years, and felt confident enough that she had kept them all a secret. If she had not then she figured that someone would have called her out on it or that if they did know and had not called her out on it, then it was pretty much a clear sign that they were not interested.

Blake was not really thinking about that sort of thing now as she spotted Sorcha coming over, and yes she was clearly checking the other woman out. She didn’t make an effort to even hide it but when Sorcha spoke to her she kept her eyes on Sorcha’s face and that was that. Blake has her swimsuit on, but it was under her clothing. She had gone for a white bikini herself but currently had a pair of jean shirts and a loose white t-shirt on. Both her shorts and shirt looked like they were about to just slip off any moment, but Blake didn’t mind. “Good to know. Was hoping we could get a bit of sun and swim a bit.” Blake said putting some emphasis on the swim part because that was why she was here. Not for herself to swim but to see if Sorcha could or even liked to. The woman certainly was wearing swimwear but Blake was ready to write that off with just Sorcha liking to not wear much clothing.

Sorcha was already making herself comfortable on a chair so Blake did the same as she pushed her long hair back and put it in a loose pony tail. Sometimes having long hair was a pain but she always enjoyed it, it just added to her looks she figured. Yet if summers were going to be really hot she might have to lop some it off at some point, but for now she enjoyed it at its current length. Would not let it get longer then it was now, but where it was at now was safe. “How have you been Sorcha?” Blake then asked after letting out a content sight as her body felt all cozy.

Swimming was generally something to be anticipated when an invitation to hang out by the pool was extended. Sorcha hadn't exactly been told outright that the other young woman had planned on getting into the water but she figured it would be safe enough to assume that swimwear would be appropriate. Besides, even if Blake decided against swimming the feline shifter could always slip into the water once the meeting had wound its way to an end.

The emphasis on the word when Blake greeted her confirmed her suspicions. Swimming was apparently on the list of things to do, though she didn't seem to be in a huge rush to get to it judging by how she relaxed in her own chair once the shifter had taken a seat. Sorcha didn't particularly mind which activity they got to first, but she figured that sunbathing after a good swim was probably the better option. The water wouldn't feel quite so cold that way and drying out in the sun was always nice.

"Swim, huh? Alright then," she replied, draping her towel over her chair and standing to untie her sarong and hang it over the back of the chair. She wandered over to the edge of the pool and sat so she could stick her feet into the water before smoothly sliding the rest of her body into it.

Humans are born with the ability to swim and jaguars are naturally excellent swimmers so she was perfectly at home in the water in either of her forms. Wet fur could be more cumbersome and uncomfortable than skin, but it didn't bother her enough to avoid getting wet while she was shifted.

She reappeared at the edge of the pool before very long, brushing her short hair out of her eyes and folding her arms over the cement. "Been just peachy for me lately. Not a whole lot of interesting things going on, but I manage to entertain myself," she answered the other young woman. "How about yourself?"

Sunbathing after being in the pool was the best option, but again Blake was trying to figure Sorcha and her power out a little better. She knew that cats were big on their whole sun bathing sort of thing so figured just a small moment of that would get Sorcha feeling all relaxed before pool time. Granted Blake might have been thinking a little on the extreme side but she often did when it came to water related activities. So long as Sorcha didn’t challenge her to like a swim race or anything Blake should have behaved her need to win in such a competition. She was also one who liked to lounge so seeing Sorcha do it had only encouraged her to do the same. Now laying back she was starting to wonder what it was that they were here for again. Lying on the chair and soaking up the sun just felt so nice, and she was likely going to end up just falling asleep right then and there.

Thankfully Sorcha was talking and seemed up for the whole idea of swimming, breaking Blake out of her almost just falling asleep state. Blink a few times as she watched Sorcha go over to the pool and just ease her way into it. Alright, so she is not afraid of water. Blake noted to herself as she got off her chair and started to shed down her layers until she was in her bathing suit. Hers was a simple black bikini, one that covered all the parts, but still looked sexy. She made sure that this was one that tired and fashioned because there had been too many times where she saw others lose their tops or bottoms. It happened to her sometimes as well but back when she was a teenager and less developed it was not as big of a deal as it was not with her being a full grown woman with a bod. As some would say. Blake watched Sorcha for a moment, noting that she seemed perfectly fine in the water. Also noting to herself she should have done a little more research on jaguars before just assuming that all cats didn’t like to swim.

“Not a whole lot other than the events with SPECTRE right? I heard you played a very big role in those events.” Blake responded and being the classy Blake that she was, did a full on cannon ball into the pull, making a nice big splash. Reappearing back on the surface and pushing her long hair out of the way. Should have worn a swimming cap. Blake thought to herself, but it was a bit too late now so she was just going to have to deal with her long wet hair sometimes getting in the way while she would swim and have to tend to it when she got out of the pool. “I have been well. Trying to adjust to living on the campus again and start taking on students to train.” Blake answered the question as she swam over to the side, clearly having some swimming skills before turning over to float on her back. Mainly because she was a lounging Blake.

“On a scale from one to ten, ten being horrible and one being little angles. How would you rate the student you have to deal with overall?” Blake asked after a moment, curious to see how things might have changed in terms of the students that were now attending BA.
