Seriously? What fuckery was this?
Sam groaned, running a hand through her hair in frustration as she picked up another box. Over the years she had been at Bellefonte, the Boston girl had collected quite a bit of things in her room – even enough to at some point take over another room until Regan and what's-his-face moved in.
So why did she have to move now? The only positive concept of this was that she was still with Ellis, but she knew well enough that her blonde counterpart wasn't happy with the change, either.
Sam lugged a box marked random shit into the common room, dropping it on the floor before letting out another annoyed grumble. She glanced towards her roommate's dorm, raising her eyebrows and sitting on the box. “Oi, need me to carry anything for you?” She called towards the door. Not that she didn't think Ellis could handle it, but if the Boston girl was taking a trip there, she might as well carry as much as she could.

Unlike her counterpart, Ellis lived with so little. She had what she needed - as well as a few very minor things that she wanted - and she was content with that. She hadn't enough belongings to fill her own room, let alone one that used to be spare. Moving in, physically, was simple.
Mentally, it obviously troubled her.
But it also... Didn't.
No, she wasn't happy about it. Because she didn't understand why. But in the same notion, Ellis came to terms with it because she never owned that room. It was never hers. It would never be hers. The initial concept of mild panic that she might be separated from Sam had washed away as quickly as the news of a move had. She wasn't moving, they were.
Ellis had left the door open to the dorm she was now occupying. As she shifted through the pages of a book in her hand, she glanced out the open door towards the girl who called out to her. She settled the book down on the desk before her, her fingers running across the top as she scooped up the a new set of still unfamiliar keys. So uncoordinated. No coding. Not yet.
Despite the way she wanted to stare at them, she didn't. She kept her eyes on her roommate. And when she reached her, she smiled lightly and ran her fingertips across the line of her jaw. "No." Ellis replied, "You go."

If anything, moving was just a pain. With the set up, the pair could have easily kept their own dorm and forced the twins out. But they were moving everyone. Although Sam wasn't as much of a logical thinker as her counterpart, she knew this was a flawed system.
The annoyed thoughts slipped from her mind the moment Sam caught sight of her roommate. Involuntarily, a smile pulled at the brunette's lips, and she exhaled slowly as she watched the way Ellis flipped through the pages.
Sam's gaze followed the movement of her counterpart, from what she could see looking into her room. She glanced down at the keys. They had yet to be color-coded like her previous set, and the Boston girl bet that it they would be within a day.
As familiar fingertips ran across the line of her jaw, Sam leaned into the contact, looking up at Ellis from where she sat. Just as lightly as the contact she offered was, the brunette kissed Ellis's palm before making the move to stand. Her arms wrapped around the blonde's waist. “There isn't much left to move.” She stated with a nod. Only a minute before she was determined to get the rest of her stuff moved. Now she wasn't so sure.

Reaching out and making contact with the Boston girl felt like second nature. There had never been a time where it seemed particularly daunting for Ellis, and that had been something that always surprised her.
She allowed herself to be wrapped up within her hold easily. Because she wanted to. When it came to her, any attention was worthy attention. As she listened, she idly shifted her hand to curl some of her dark locks amidst her fingers. Her gaze briefly flicked towards the simple movement before she looked back to her again.
"So it shouldn't take you very long to finish." Ellis denoted, her eyebrows raising slightly at the fact. Or rather, where she assumed Sam was going with the statement she'd offered.

Sam closed her eyes briefly, allowing herself to enjoy feeling of her counterpart's fingers moving through her hair. She found it extremely comforting, and the little stress Sam felt about moving quickly dissipated with her touch.
She nodded again, eyes flicking open as Ellis spoke. It had been exactly where Sam was going with her initial statement. Because if it wasn't going to take long, then, in theory, she could put it off.
At least for a little bit.
She brushed her thumb across the material of Ellis's shirt, leaning inward as she eased the blonde closer to herself. Even now, she couldn't help but to feel magnetically pulled into Ellis. Every bit of her was enticing.
Slowly, Sam grinned as she leaned in further, stopping as she felt the tip of her nose hit the blonde's. “I don't want to finish right now.”

Without fail, Ellis leaned in when Sam seemed to want her to. She found comfort in being drawn in in such a way.
She slowly moved to run her hands along the Boston girl's arms. Anything to maintain a little more contact. Everything about such simple actions felt normal. Natural. And that did wonders to help ease the blonde through the strange ordeal of a move. Even as things changed, she stayed.
"What would you prefer?" She asked curiously, "You're going to have to finish moving eventually."
But she knew she knew that already. Breaching the minimal distance, Ellis leaned in and lightly pressed her lips against her cheek. "I'll wait." She whispered, though she couldn't quite find the strength to draw away.

Sam knew very well that she would have to move the rest of her things eventually, and she was aware that Ellis knew that as well, even before she pointed it out. Still, the brunette's grin grew as she noticed how her counterpart wasn't letting go.
Which was good, because Sam had no intention of leaving.
She exhaled as Ellis kissed her. Even the most minimal contact pulled such a reaction out of the Boston girl. Her eyebrows raised when her counterpart stated that she'd wait. The way Ellis whispered it had caught most of her attention, and Sam didn't need a visual cue to tell that the blonde didn't want her to leave.
“I'll do it later.” She replied softly, bringing her hand up to cup the blonde's cheek. She pulled back just enough to catch her gaze again briefly before lightly kissing her.

It didn't surprise Ellis that Sam verbally expressed having no intention of leaving. She caught her eyes, feeling herself lean into the hand against her cheek for a moment before she was drawn forward. She kissed just as lightly, feeling little need to really pull away from her. Until she couldn't help it, and made the gentle move to provoke a sliver of distance.
"That's your choice." Ellis pointed out, as softly as she was able, "It's not what I'm telling you you should do."
At the very least, it wasn't a lie. Ellis would find it difficult to leave such a task unfinished, but she also found it difficult to leave her when she was holding onto her like that. "I'm glad you moved as well. I don't think I'd like living with other people."

Despite the light connotations of the kiss, Sam felt caught up in it. Her thumb brushed lightly along Ellis’s cheek bone gently, free hand resting on the small of her back. Nothing could get her to pull away.
Until she did. Even the sliver of distance felt like too much, and Sam had everything she could do to not follow and catch her lips again. The only managing to put a halt to the Boston girl was when the blonde spoke. Sam couldn’t help but to breathe out a light laugh. “I know,” she replied, “I’m doing what I want.”
Again, she felt the overbearing urge to kiss her counterpart again. But before she could make the move to, Sam found herself again stopping at Ellis’s words. The grin she wore pulled into a more genuine smile. She knew, to some extent, that Ellis was glad they were moving together. Still, hearing the blonde say so made things different. “I’m glad, too.” She breathed out as lightly as she could.

Even if Ellis knew Sam was glad, it still meant so much to have that confirmed. She moved to rest her a hand against her collarbone, her fingers running along the line idly.
"I would've found it difficult without you here as often as you are." Ellis pointed out, though she assumed the Boston girl knew this about her already. "I would've missed you." And it was difficult for Ellis to speak of possibilities, especially with such definite connotations. "I likely would have visited you far too much. Or perhaps I would have waited for you to come to me."
The more she spoke, the more she wondered. The more possibilities she thought of. What if was never a question she asked, and this was why. "I like it when you stay with me." She admitted, as a means to denote her thought process.
