Sorcha had managed to get herself a night off from security duty and like most of her time off she wasn't about to spend it lazing around the Academy. She spent enough time there while she worked and while she lounged for her afternoon naps. Once afternoon had passed and dusk was beginning to set in she was always wide awake and wired for action. There was no way she was going to sit around and spend a quiet evening in the school library or something. She craved action and excitement and absolutely loved the added possibility of potentially bringing some trouble home with her.
Bar hopping usually fit the bill, so she'd decided that she'd head into town and stop by the Silverlight for a while to see if she could find some entertainment there. If nothing else she could have a few drinks and get a nice buzz going before hopping on the dance floor and enjoying the music. Potentially meeting a dashing stranger was merely a perk.
She dug out her shortest pair of shorts and a light shirt with a hem that stopped half way between her bust and her bellybutton. She slipped into a pair of gladiator sandals and decorated herself with a collar style choker and several hoops in each of her ears. As per usual her underwear was left in its drawer back in her dorm.
The bar wasn't exceedingly full when she arrived, but there was a steady trickle of people coming through the doors and once the sun was completely down it would likely start to get crowded. She didn't mind. She'd opted not to wear any contact lenses so the more people there were the less she'd stand out in the crowd when her sunglasses inevitably came off. The mutant cat was out of the bag now anyhow, so she felt she could be slightly more careless. If she ran into any trouble she could just hightail it back to the school. Besides, she could handle losing a pair of cheap sunglasses better than misplacing a more expensive contact if she got a little too tipsy and somehow wound up pulling them out of her eyes.
She settled herself at the bar and ordered a beer to start off with. She could switch to harder alcohol a little later when the crowd filled in and she was feeling slightly more comfortable. For now, though she was content sitting at the bar and working toward a buzz while she watched the patrons and decided on her next course of action.
