Cut to the Chase

[Devyn Solway]

She had some water still left in the large water bottle, opting to dump what remained on herself at the top of her head. Her body was cold but she was starting to feel really hot as her body worked on getting back to a normal state. Her body was shaking a little, but she did her best to cover it up by working on moving around a little bit. However her body was not happy with all the extra movement and she winched a little, muscles and bones sore. Bones? Why where her bones sore, her power was on the outside of her. She assumed it probably had to do something with the struggle to break free of the shadows before and their grip on her. After all her clothing had a few tears in them, so the idea that she might have pulled, sprained, or fractured something was fully possible.

I just want to sleep. The thought floated around her head now, once she had something to drink. Sure she was really hungry, but sleep seemed like it would be so nice right about now. A nice long sleep on her bed, skip a few days of classes or just do nothing for the weekend. Yeah, weekend would be the best bet, she have to let Zoe know that they would not be able to spend time together for that coming weekend because she needed to recover from training. Her eyes and ears still leaked a little more blood but it seemed to be stopping for the most part, only for her to get a nose bleed for a moment. Damn, is my body trying to drain me? Devyn thought as she reached a hand up to wipe the blood away again, this time using her shirt after a small struggle with getting it off. She had a white t-shirt underneath so she was still pretty well covered.

"Sorry, inner beast. Eating slow means someone can get to it and if you are busy drinking, you are distracted." Devyn managed something of a smirk to him as she coughed a few times; making sure to clear up any water that had gone down the wrong pipe. Guy was being a lot nicer to her, well sort of. His tone was not as cut and dry as it was normally. Her green blood shot eyes looking at him as he seemed to be doing some searching on his phone. Devyn smiled back at him when he called Zoe cute. "Right? She really is, and she is all mine. Pretty surprised that she asked me out." Devyn confessed, not surprised in the fact that Zoe had wanted to go out with her, but more so surprised at the fact that Zoe bolded up enough to ask her. Which would have been the only way Devyn would have gone out with her, since if someone wanted something they should ask for it, no harm in asking. Devyn gave a small nod then, followed by another cough as she moved a little to see if that would help her feel less pain while sitting up. No way was she getting up and walking around yet.

"Not being able to touch a cute little puppy without hurting it has to suck, so I figured with your help we could have like a 'play date' of sorts." Devyn said managing to use one hand to make air quotes around the words play and date. A smile spread across her face when he was basically saying yes, just had to work things around his schedule. "No rush. You just let me know when is good for you and I'll handle the rest." Devyn said still with her smile, closing her eyes for a moment at a slight twinge of pain in her head. However she ignored it and gave a soft chuckle as she shook her head no. "I promise I won’t make any moves on her unless she asks me to and she might let you use her camera to get those pictures if you are bold enough." Devyn said giving a small smirk. "Have to have some pretty big stones to have a picture of two girls kissing LeGuy." Devyn said getting back some of that daring and teasing nature that she had, even if she was still hurting.

[Guy LeGrange]

Guy nodded, understanding that dealing with this sort of thing could be difficult. he didn't have any personal, up front experience with having a beast inside of him, but he had spent quite a bit of time working with people that did. One of his closer friends at the Academy was the burly Alistair, who had to constantly watch his temper and such, which was very similar.

Devyn confirmed what Guy had already half been suspecting: she was going out with the cute little girl. Zoe did look fairly "femme," though Guy knew better than to engage in any of those stereotypes. More surprising was finding out that Zoe had done the asking as opposed to Devyn, though it sounded like Devyn had since gotten quite possessive of the girl. It wasn't the possessive talk that surprised Guy, but the affection he could hear underneath it. That and the fact that Devyn had asked for puppy petting as opposed to people petting. Again: this would hardly be the first time that Guy had done this sort of favor for people. Hell, he'd done the whole 'sitting peacefully and pretending he's not there" thing while some people had practically gone at it like rabbits. Those were even more awkward than normal, so he really didn't want to linger that much upon it.

"I've got some time here and there, so I can meet with you on some weekend. Like I said: it's going to be a while, so you'll have to keep your hands to yourself," he chuckled. Somehow he doubted that would happen, though Devyn did seem to have some kind of plan. He waited a few more moments, watching her carefully, not only because of the conversation but because of the whole power thing. "Wouldn't be the first set of pictures," he said, nodding and walking over to the jerky and Gatorade. "And if you're feeling good enough to joke, you can get your ass over here and get to this," he pointed at the supplies. "Those, there. And let me know if you're not feeling up to eating or drinking one or the other; that's important to know. I should probably get a catalog of how crappy you feel too, if you're feeling up to it."

Devyn was possessive over Zoe, Zoe was hers and Devyn didn’t have that many people she was possessive over. There literally was a handful of them at the moment where there had only been one or two for years. There was also a lot of affection Devyn had for Zoe. Sure she did want to do more with her girlfriend but that had been friends first so Devyn was more worried about Zoe coming out of her shell and getting to experience things then she was about her physical needs. That was also why their relationship had been an open one since Devyn sometimes felt like she really did need it and Zoe was not able to give it. Didn't mean Devyn was not going to push the limits and see just how much she could get away with. Kind of like training today, push until she could not go on and then work around the areas just below that.

"Just let me know, and no promises. You saw what she looks like and with the way she acts, just hard to stay hands off." Devyn said with a slight chuckle, but it hurt a bit to do so, again she ignored the pain. She however was chuckling again at Guy's comment about not being the first pictures. "Naughty LeGuy. Care to share any possible magazines you own?" Devyn asked with a slight tilt of her head, smirk remaining to his statement about if she was able to joke enough she should be able to go and get the supplies he pointed to. She took a moment, biting on her tongue as she moved to force herself up onto her feet. They felt so weak and wanted to give out on her, but she didn’t want to crumple and be a mess in front of Guy. Pushing herself as best as she could, walking towards him and the food and drink she desired.

Damn. Her steps were clearly not steady and the pain was showing up on her face a little. It took everything she had to not just collapse back onto the ground when she was close enough. Careful moving to sit down and kind of scoot the rest of the way. "I could eat a cow if you put one in front of me." Devyn managed to get out through a shaky breath from the effort she had put in with getting over here. She was sweating a little, but she hoped Guy confused it with the water that was still dripping from her hair and down her face from her dumping the water bottle on herself. Grabbing the jerky and ripping it open, practically scarfing down the first piece as she opened the Gatorade to quickly take a drink after. "Thanks for being my trainer." Devyn said after she managed to swallow the jerky, should have chew it more, but oh well.

[Guy LeGrange]

Guy chuckled and shook his head at Devyn's comments about her girlfriend. He remembered what that was like all too well. His libido was more or less in check now though, even if it didn't stop him from making the occasional lewd comment or looking just a little too long at various females that passed him by. His ardor had cooled; it hadn't completely faded. When Devyn asked about magazines, he just raised his brows. "Who keeps magazines anymore?" he asked. "Obviously I have a phone now," he said, holding up the device and wiggling it a bit. Though he did have fond memories of stealing dirty magazines as a younger man. He still had one or two that were autographed too, but he wasn't about to tell that to his underaged student.

Said student got upright. Guy kept that stoic watch as she wobbled toward him. She could move, which they both would recognize as being a good thing. Sure, she looked rather the worse for wear, but if she could push herself now, for no real reason, then she could do it even better when she needed something else. Guy did extend the snacks to help her a little and motioned for her to just sit back and relax. He wasn't planning on going anywhere until he was certain that she'd be more or less alright.

"I don't have any cows on me," said Guy, "so you'll have to settle for jerky. I think it's made of cow, or pork, I didn't really pay that much attention," he just knew that he wanted protein and he wanted something that she'd have to chew a little. If anything, the texture was an added bonus: it would make Devyn stop to drink too. She opened the Gatorade though, so Guy knew he could just settle back and keep half an eye on her while updating information.

"It's not like I choose," he replied at her thanks, adding a grunt, "though I have to admit that I like the ones that try better. Of course, most people try, since they want to get this whole freaky thing under control." Guy shrugged. He'd wanted the same, though his situation had always been decidedly different. Even with no training, he could've passed for "normal."

Yeah, Devyn's libido probably needed to be checked. It was fine a few years ago but when she turned seventeen and after her father died it just spiked and it seemed like it was never going to settle. She probably needed to go to the vet and get spayed. Her smirk didn’t falter as his raised brow to her comment about magazines and having his phone, which caused her to chuckle a little. "Well true, phones work just as well. However I always like a good old fashion magazine, sometimes you get lucky and get a nice poster you can hang up on your wall." Devyn said giving a wink, she had only one such poster in her room back at the dorm, but it was in the bathroom and no one besides Kitty had been in her room so far and Kitty had never really gone into her bathroom. It was not a super scandalous photo, just a very pretty lady in a very nice and thin swimsuit. Devyn's mind starting to wonder off to that poster for a moment, thinking if she should take it down now that she was going out with Zoe.

Devyn was thankful for Guy's bit of aid with the snack, noting that she was going have to do something for him to pay him back. He trained her, gave her jerky, and was going to help her out with Zoe. She owed him a lot and she was going to figure out a way to pay him back, which required research, or asking him. Now to figure out if I want it to be a surprise or not. Devyn thought as she ate, giving another chuckle at his comment. "Well it depends, some are cow and some is deer...I don’t think I ever tasted pig jerky before. Rabbit yes, but never pig." Devyn said now wondering what pig jerky might have tasted like, he mouth would have started to water at the thought but she was too busy shoving jerky into her mouth and tearing at it. She loved to tear things with her teeth. Taking it easy now since Guy seemed like he was alright with that now. Stopping in-between her scarfing and tearing to get a drink, she was still going to want a meal after this, but it was helping her recover and feel somewhat satisfied.

"Well yeah I figure, but like you said you have to deal with those who don’t try or want to fight you against what you are trying to help them with. Has to be a pain sometimes. I personally would knock someone out for getting smart with me when all I was trying to do is help them." Devyn said as she clinched her fist a little at the thought. Wanting to even punch someone at the thought that they would have been disrespectful to Guy. "So either way, thanks a lot LeGuy." Devyn said giving him a honest smile as she worked on completing up her jerky and Gatorade.

[Guy LeGrange]

"Ah, posters; I remember those days," said Guy, looking off into the distance with a dreamy expression that was only half forced. He really did recall having a few posters plastered on his wall as a teenager. Guy had been rather charming though, despite his physical limitations, and nearly as soon as he'd discovered girls were a thing, he dug in with relish. Of course, it did take a bit more than that till he actually started netting success: hence the poster stage.

He again shoved the thoughts to the back of his mind, returning to observation. It didn't surprise him that Devyn had experienced quite a bit of jerky before; Guy was willing to bet that her ability meant that she enjoyed meat products more than your average teenage girl. The jerky seemed to be doing what Guy had hoped it would too, though Devyn did ravish it, she did so with a little more reservation than she would have if the package had been a bag of meat gummies.

"I've thought about it," admitted Guy, nodding, "but usually the ones getting smart with me have the ability to throw a hurricane at my face or punch through a brick wall. Fortunately, I can still give them all kinds of detention," Guy sighed,  looking all too pleased with this. "Now, I need to know what symptoms you're experiencing. Part of this whole, push the student until they cry blood thing. Oh, there's one," he tapped on his phone, "student cries tears of blood," he looked up at her, eyebrows raised, "that is normal, correct? You're not some strange, lesbian Jesus or something, are you? Because that might explain how someone like you wound up with a heavenly body," he winked, hoping she caught the reference to Zoe. Devyn was usually savvy to those kinds of comments, so Guy's hopes were fairly high.

Devyn gave a nod, still daydreaming about her poster now, maybe she be able to get a really nice picture of Zoe and print it out in poster form. That could replace her current poster anyways, but Devyn was not really sure if Zoe would let her get a photo of the other girl in her underwear. Didn’t hurt to ask, then again it might. Devyn had a slight feeling that Zoe might say yes in order to make Devyn happy...however Zoe did have strong standing in certain areas. That specific area that came to Devyn's mind was that Zoe didn’t seemed to be ready to give up her innocence to just anyone and definitely not just anywhere. Devyn was not thinking of where she lost hers, and was it with a girl or boy first? A...treehouse...and was a girl first. Devyn thought, giving a small mental nod because she was sure that was the case, and then it was a with a guy a few days after that in the bathroom...maybe.

Devyn did like meat a lot, she had a hard time eating her vegetable even, and literally it was a battle. She would have to 'sneak' them into her food or set aside a day where she would eat a whole bunch of them to give her body the other things it needed to survive. Honestly she would have preferred to live off of meat, water, and soda alone if she really could. "Ah, well then I can understand that. Still you could shut down there powers and give them a quick knock out right? Or even call me and I'll work on putting them in their place." Devyn said with a smirk, really not having all that many fears. The whole busting through walls didn’t seem like anything special but the whole hurricane things sounded pretty cool. She nodded, trying to think of all the symptoms she was feeling but then he made a comment and she could not help but to laugh, fully getting the reference. "LeGuy please, please..." Devyn could not even get it out because she was too busy laughing so hard. Literally she just kind of fell back on her back and no sound was coming out because she had no more air in her body to let out. Just kind of going through the motions of laughing really hard, but incapable to as she tried to catch her breath.

It took her a moment before she could full recover from the laughing, still working on catching her breath and could not even remember what she was going to ask of Guy anyways. So focused on telling him what symptoms she had had. "Uh...well bleeding eyes, ears, and nose. Increased sensitivity to light, my bones and muscles hurt, and the usual increase in hunger and thirst." Devyn said thinking she had said pretty much everything that she had felt. Nodding a little as she thought a little more, as if clarifying. "I still feel a little cold on the inside and like...I want to break or hurt something." Devyn added, not sure if she was wording the feeling right, but it was the best way she could describe the feeling of wanting to put something in pain that she was still feeling while she sat there.

[Guy LeGrange]

"Look at me!" said Guy, holding out his arms. "Do you really think I'm physically capable of fending off a pissed off student? Those super strength people are usually still really damn strong, even without their mutant powers. I've got the scars and bone fractures to prove it," though there had been times when Guy had surprised someone. He had been doing this for several years after all; you learned a few things. All the trainers were given basic self defense lessons too, just in case of incidents effectively like the ones that they were discussing.

The laughter that followed his snide comment was to be expected. It also gave Guy some much needed information. He could now tell, for example, that Devyn at least felt good enough to let out fairly deep laughs. Oh sure, she clutched at her ribs and the like, but that was just normal laughter reaction. He found himself joining in for a while there, mostly chuckling and attempting to hide it behind a rather obvious cough. He just let her ride it out, knowing that, well, again: laughter was the best medicine.

It wound down eventually. When it did, Guy had his phone out, punching in symptoms. Bleeding all over, increased light sensitivity (he should've guessed that one), overall ache and fatigue, hunger and thirst (hey, he'd been ready for that). Actually, now that the thought about it, he was ready for the ache and fatigue, or could be soon enough. These rooms usually had medicine stores nearby. He made a note to bring that up in a bit.

"Don't you always feel like you want to break or hurt something? Oh, I'm sorry, or fuck something," said Guy, looking up. "I just want to get a clear idea of how much you feel your personality has changed. You seem pretty much normal to me. Well, normal for a teenage girl who looks sort of like an eerily attractive teenage boy but somehow manages to have incredible luck with relationships."

Devyn looked at Guy when he basically yelled at her to. Yeah he was small, but he could suppress people’s powers. Plus Devyn knew better then to underestimate someone based on their outward appearance. Like Guy said, there were students here that could have had some super powerful ability but looked like a delicate flower. That kind of made Devyn think of Zoe. Zoe looked as if she would not harm a fly let alone yell at someone when she was angry. Yet Zoe's power could easy have someone unable to move and if she kept contract with them, well they could end up dead. That was powerful, so no matter if Guy was even shorter then he was already now or looked like he was about to fall apart, she didn’t want to doubt what he was capable of. "I still think of ants in this case. Small but still able to lift up heavy objects." Devyn said with a small nod, but understood where he was coming from.

"You are just making my respect for you increase. Soon I'm going to end up being a fan girl. I might even develop a crush." Devyn said with a smirk as she looked at Guy. She really did respect, because even with clearly having been hurt and gone through some bad things, he was still here and still teaching and helping the students train. Guy even laughed a little, at least Devyn was sure she heard him but there was a cough in there and she had been laughing pretty hard. So she might have been wrong, but she liked to think that Guy had found some entertainment within the comment he made. Rubbing at her neck for a moment as she watched him enter in the various information she told him. At least she assumed that was what he was doing. For all she knew he could have been texting someone or sending some photos or what have you to people. Still, Devyn doubted all that, figuring Guy was very much focused on the task at hand.

Devyn had to think about the question for a moment, giving Guy a look when he added the fuck part. My word choice probably gives him that idea. Devyn thought for a moment, wondering how he came to that. Even if it was pretty obvious that was on the list of things Devyn did enjoy to do. "I only feel like I want to break or hurt something when I'm angry. So you could say that I feel anger deep down right now." Devyn said giving a small shrug, since she didn’t really feel angry outright and felt pretty mellow, but there was still that part of her who wanted to hurt Guy for pushing her and telling her what to do. "As for fucking, well I do notice that if I'm really angry with someone I do want to sleep with them. It’s weird. One of those, I'm so angry I want to punch them but if they kissed me it lead to other things." Devyn tried to explain as she munched on what remained of her jerky. Pausing for a moment.

"It all depends on the person I'm dealing with really. I naturally like to flirt with people to get a reaction out of them." Devyn admitted and went to drinking was still of her Gatorade. "Just right now...I want to hurt something, that is pretty much it and I feel empty..." Devyn wanted to throw in alone, but she liked being alone so found it odd that she felt some way that she normally liked. Could it be that she was just missing her father? She assumed that was the case. Either way she gave a chuckle to the last bit of what Guy said. "Thank you, I'll take that as a complement. In terms of luck in relationship, I don’t know if that would be true, but oh well." Devyn gave another shrug. Relationships didn’t last and it was ideal that way, loving people past friendship was dangerous and caused so much drama. She still had many years ahead of her of being a flirt and sleeping around with who she liked. She didn’t even really see herself settling, not at the moment anyway.

[Guy LeGrange]

Guy chuckled again at the comparison between himself and an ant. He'd heard similar comments made before. Someone once insisted that he was more like a flea: small, but nearly indestructible with a tendency to hold onto something when he got hold of it. Guy had taken it for a compliment at the time. He just knew all too well how difficult it could be for these students, and he could only hope that he made it just a little easier and more bearable on them.

Even if he did somehow end up with a fangirl in the process. Guy sighed at the idea, rolling his eyes toward the ceiling. "Just don't start up a fanclub. Last time that happened the other staff wouldn't let me live it down for months. I think at least one of them still has Legrange's girls as his homepage," Guy shook his head. That had truly been embarrassing, especially as the student had been a technopath that he hadn't dealt with that exclusively. Who was to say where affections or hormones ran? People were strange, and mutations really only made them just a little stranger in the long run.

Speaking of: Devyn seemed to have a good handle on hers. Guy did make a few psychological notes though, frowning as he did so. The change in attitude could be very suspicious, and while he certainly wasn't an expert, a lot of what Devyn said spoke to repression. Mutants did have a higher rate of doing that, what with their powers often causing rifts and difficulties. Devyn's own girlfriend had been traumatized, and likely Devyn herself had issues. Guy vaguely recalled reading or hearing something about a father and a difficult relationship there. He wasn't about to go dredging that up now.

"It sounds like your mutation might be tapping into something primal in your nature," he offered, meeting Devyn's gaze. "Though I expect you already suspected that. It could have something to do with tapping into some primitive force or what have you. I think there's even some mutation theory to back it up but, well,' Guy shrugged, "I'm not exactly an expert on that. on the plus side, you do seem to be getting better," he eyed her again, then clicked his tongue against his teeth. "I really should have you go through a physical though... then again," he pursed his lips and nodded, "the school's doctor is an attractive young woman, so maybe you'd enjoy it..."

"Don't worry. When I like someone I tend to want to keep them all to myself and not share. So no fan clubs." Devyn said, speaking honestly because even if she shared herself, if she had an attachment with someone in some way then she did not like to share them. Didn’t even like seeing them smile with other people depending on the level of connection she had with them. Like for Kitty, even if she was just Devyn's best friend, Devyn did like seeing her hang around other people, and for sure she would not like it if Kitty ended up with someone. The same applied with Zoe. Even if they had an open relationship and Devyn was still living and doing things like she normally would, if Zoe would flirt or do anything with other people, well Devyn would not be happy at all. If she found out about it she would approach Zoe about it or the person that was in question and have nice talk to them, or both.

I miss him. The thought crossed her mind even if she did not really want to think about it. Her dad was really all she had since her relationship with her mother...well it was so bad that Devyn didn’t like to even think about it. She was her dad's little 'prince', they were each other’s everything, and she was a super daddy's girl. His death was still recent even. It was just last year over the winter season so that was a few months back. Her mother was still alive, she did have a place to visit, but there was no way Devyn was going to go back there. No, she stay at the school for the rest of her days here and even didn’t know what to do after that, she still had things to think about. She let out a deep sigh, getting rid of the negative feelings now and working on feeling better.

She gave a small nod to his words about how her power pulled out something primal in her, which she did know, but it was always good to hear someone else say it. She tried to keep that more animalistic side of her in check. It did not help that even before her power she did a lot of hunting and spent time in the woods with her father, being predators. So there had always been a little bit of animal in her and when her power came too it just seemed to increase. He glanced over at Guy at the word physical. She was not sure how she felt about it, until he said that the school's doctor was an attractive young woman. "Attractive? Young? LeGuy, you are singing heavenly notes to me right now. I'm all for this physical. So I have to arrange it." Devyn had a smile on her face now, already looking forward to it. It would be a full body checks right? I hope so. Maybe I can check her after. Devyn began to snicker a little just thinking about it.

[Guy LeGrange]

No fan clubs, which was definitely a relief to hear. Not least because Guy fully believed that if Devyn put together some kind of fan club, it was likely to top nearly every kind that Guy had experienced before. The thought of some variation set up by Devyn was very nearly terrifying though. Thankfully, they didn't dwell much on the thought, rightly focusing the session where it belonged: on Devyn herself.

It appeared that Guy's guess about Devyn's powers and reaction had hit home too, which made him feel rather proud of himself. He made a few notes at that, his pride dimming as he realized that this might very well mean that he should recommend Devyn seek some psychological help. He had done some training in dealing with those type of side effects, but he usually left that to the experts. He'd already figured that they had to test Devyn's combat abilities, and he wanted to see what she was like in an environment that wasn't quite as controlled as well. Actually, now that Guy considered it, he should probably be arranging matches between the students. Controlled bouts could be extremely helpful, especially with a good system in place.

It also appeared that Guy's description of Dr. Riggs caught Devyn's attention, which had been the point all along. he smiled as he saw her perking up. If she was that enthusiastic about it, or at least teasing about it, then Guy would arrange it. "We'll have to make sure you head over to the Nurse's Office after this then," he said, nodding. "We wouldn't want you suffering any horrendous side effects, after all," he smiled at Devyn and then looked her over. "Is there anything else you wanted to report or ask me? We've already arranged a puppy play date, and I think I understand more or less what's going on with," he gestured sort of loosely at Devyn, hoping that the motion carried over more or less. It should; it was rather obvious that this whole thing had been about her power, after all. Well, that and her girlfriend, which did not surprise Guy in the slightest.

If Devyn had made a fan clubs, yeah it would be over the top. Shirts, websites, posters, food, toys, and all kind of things that could be really creepy when she thought about it. Yet again she did not like to share so if anything it would end up like a shrine, and that was just too creepy for Devyn to take seriously. Yeah she had a lot of respect for Guy; he was basically a little under the level of her father now in her mind. The only thing that she had of her father was the ring that she always had on her hand, which she now gave a small rub of. Never really taking it off unless she had to. If Guy had given her something she probably would hold onto it like a charm of sorts. Or at least have it somewhere special in her room.

Devyn gave a small head shake, fine with getting attached to Guy in a certain way but she didn’t want to end up forming something where if she lost him too, she might be crushed. However, she could not control her emotions as much as she liked and she already knew she pretty much had Guy's back. Devyn might have needed a little bit of psychological help, but she would never admit it or seek it out. She didn’t see it as important or significant enough since she could just ignore any feeling that she did not like and just not think about it. All that mattered was training and passing well enough that she did not fail. After that, well Devyn really didn’t know. She had no one to follow in the footsteps anymore, so didn’t really have too many goals. Just might be one of those people who travelled around, shaking up with anyone that they had ended up in bed with the night before. Sounds about right. Devyn thought, figuring that in itself could be a plan that did not really require effort or drive and she could still work out and train.

"I'm game for that. They could be a male and I still would be up for it. Do you know how old she is?" Devyn this asked, wondering if it was in her seven year limit. Too bad Guy was not, it would have been interesting to have some fun with him, and not that Guy would even give her the time of day. Plus now she could not really see him in that manner. Devyn looked down at the floor for a moment at his question, trying to think if there was anything else she needed to tell him. She trained, arranged the little puppy meeting...yeah she figured that was it. She just kick herself later if she was forgetting something. She did understand the gesture and gave a nod, moving to try and get to her feet once more. It took a moment but she was standing upright and gave a stretch. "I think that’s it. Unless you have any advice on how I should go about having a girlfriend I can’t touch all that much." Devyn said with a small snicker.

Guy did make a quick note that Devyn wouldn't have minded males as well. He wasn't exactly up with all the precise terms, but he was fairly certain that made Devyn at least bisexual, possibly more. As to the nurse's age: "Too young for me," he said, half teasing. "I believe she's in her late twenties, but I haven't exactly had the opportunity to card her just yet."

Which did mean that he suspected she would have needed carding. He wagered that Ceanna Riggs got that every now and then; he wouldn't have been surprised to hear that she got it more often than that. there was a moment where he hesitated, wondering if he really should be siccing Devyn on the doctor. Then he realized that, technically that was what he should be doing as a trainer in the first place. He did have to admit to almost wanting to be a fly on the wall in that situation.

They seemed to have finished things; even Devyn agreed. Her last comment had Guy pursing his lips and thinking for a few moments. Considering how flippant Devyn had been about it, Guy doubted that she'd been sincerely asking. Still, he wasn't about to dismiss a question, even if he could just offer a flippant comment or three: "Phone sex," he suggested immediately. "Or feathers. And I believe they have toys for your people, long things made of plastic," he might have been able to suggest more if he knew more about Miss Wallerstein-Smythe, but Fate had not elected to align their paths just yet. "You could also try getting to know her and spending time, but ah, who knows what you kids are doing these days,' Guy waved a hand and then started for the exit. He was sure Devyn could show herself out, though he would hesitate for a moment, just in case she needed him for anything else.

Devyn was bisexual; she just seemed to always end up having better luck with girls, since she could pull off looking like a guy. It really made her score with the confused ones, the types that were not sure if they liked the same gender or not and there was Devyn, like the perfect border line. Not that Devyn had a problem with it, since girls made wonderful sounds when they we being pleased, not all of them, but some did. Devyn did wonder if Zoe was loud or not for a moment before Guy said that this hot doctor was in her late twenties. How late? Devyn would have asked, but she could not reveal her whole seven year...or was it less than that? Didn't matter, Guy could not know about it yet so she was not going to say anything.

Devyn was making sure that her clothing was not going to fall off as she was going to be heading back to her dorm first for a nap. It was a bit shredded, but not revealing anything and was still holding together. Devyn didn’t think Guy was going to take her seriously, which he might not have, but he still answered her question. Phone sex? That could be interesting. Devyn thought for a small moment but she didn’t think Zoe could really do that since Zoe didn’t really seem like the type that could talk dirty or naughty. Plus Devyn didn't really do the whole phone call thing often in general. Devyn rolled her eyes at his statement of basically toys. "I know, I have..." Devyn stopped herself before she answered, Guy didn’t need to know that, she spare him that detail for now. She did raise an eyebrow at his last statement and let out a deep sigh. She was doing that, they were going out after all, but Devyn was not use to just being with someone and not having some fun by this point. She didn’t say anything either way and watched Guy leave, lingering behind for a moment before going to head to her dorm, still thinking about the last thing Guy said.
