For the first time in this regrettable conversation (As in Ellen severely regretted ever starting it) Frank seemed to be capable of forming at least some kind of point, it was true that Ellen did want all things that frank described, but in her mind she didn’t feel like she wanted them, more the school somehow owed her these things. She deserved to be prom queen, she deserved to be queen bee, she deserved to have the respect and admiration of the entire school in her mind Ellen Banks WAS Bellefonte. As arguably a point as it may be Ellen genuinely believed that the school would crumble to the ground if she ever left, in her eyes, that wasn’t an exaggeration in the least on the contrary it was a perfectly sound point. One only had to look at her tireless work behind the scenes of things like the student council, the cheerleaders, the year book, the dance team and seemingly everything in between. The whole school would practically crumble the moment Ellen was out the door. Like her father was fond of telling her “Were the banks. The world needs people like us” and Bellefonte certainly needed her. Not the other way around. So was it really too much to ask that she was showed some respect in light of this? Ellen continued to brighten up the lowly little peasants lives (As she viewed them) and in return, all she asked is just their continuing awe and admiration. That seemed like a fair deal to her. These were the only emotions that Ellen cared about her peers showing (Or so she kept telling herself) So she guessed in a around about way. Frank had actually stumbled apon a good point. Even a ticking clock was right two times a day
“So…are you always…Like…well..This?” Ellen asked with some mounting degree of bemusement. Honestly, Ellen couldn’t get a pulse on Frank it was hard to believe that she was in the mists of someone that almost seemed to step out of a real life cartoon, almost like a four year old caught in a teenagers body. What was her deal? Was all this act? Was she dropped on her head as a child? Did she have some mental health issues?
Ellen was somewhat surprised at Frank’s view of Ellen’s childhood. Awful? Well, it was certainly stricter then most and it was true that neither Ellen mother nor father could be considered particularly loving people who wasted their times cuddling Ellen and kissing her bo-bo’s. But Ellen understood that they had high expectations for her and she was taught self reliance at a early age, and she would thank her dad every single day if she could because that taught her the world was not a shiny happy place filled with magic and fairy tales, it was hard and cold more then willing to kick you when you’re down unless you kick first. At the end of the day you can only trust yourself and those were things that were instilled in her during her youth and she was thankful they were. She can see the results of the alternative right before her eyes. God only knew what her father would do if she ever dared to act like Frank. Such childish activities were beaten out of her a long time “Well, I’m afraid I don’t see your point. My childhood was wonderful thank you very much.
She did have to admit, Frank had quite a talent for arts and crafts, not that Ellen put any stock in such useless little tricks, but even she saw that it was a lovely bracelet. Ellen’s own was nice enough, but it didn’t match up to the love and attention Frank put into hers, Ellen shuddered somewhat as she unexpectedly made a grab for her, for one horrible moment Ellen thought she was trying to kiss her, thank god that wasn’t the case. There wasn’t enough toothpaste in the world in get rid of that sensation. As she tried to stretch out her eyes, Ellen leaned back slowly out of arms reach but still close enough so Frank was forced to look at her.Really it was an act of desperation, if she had given the matter any thought she would have reached for one of her many instruments hidden in her room shiny jewelry or her grandfathers pocket watch that sort of thing, but in the end she went for the eyes, “Thank you Frank” Ellen said lapping into her a enchanting and soothing tone of voice designed to lull Ellen into hypnosis as her eyes locked on to hers “My eyes are quite pretty aren’t they? Isn’t it funny how hard you try you can’t look away from them? But you don’t want to do you? You find then just fascinating and looking at them makes you feel nice and dozy like you’re snuggling into a nice warm blanket, the deeper you look the better you feel. The better you feel the harder it is to think. But you don’t mind that, all you need are my pretty eyes and my soft voice washing over you.” It was at this point that Ellen backed away fully now hopefully the danger of her fingers in her eyes was negated, Ellen swayed her head just a little side to side serpentine like just making sure Frank was following them nicely before continuing “Now, when you hear me snap my fingers you’ll suddenly remember that you need to go do something VERY important it doesn’t matter what exactly it is all that matters that it’s very important that you leave my room and go do that very important thing, however once you leave the room and realize that you don’t have any pressing issues to take care of, you’ll suddenly feel very sleepy and you’ll be overwhelmed with the urge to go to your dormroom and sleep” Ellen would of course have liked to make it so that Frank would never feel inclined to bother her again, but clearly that would require a lot more then a mild trance to get her to do that. Unfortunately based on the evidence on display Frank was quite taken with Ellen. Oh joy. Benny always wanted a dog, so Ellen wondered how her little brother would feel if she knew now that Ellen had attracted the interest of hyperactive puppy in the form of Frank, she’ll deal with the long term problem later for now Ellen was concentrating on dealing with Frank’s removal as she rearranged her features in a innocent expression, as Frank won’t consciously remember Ellen;s suggestions, Ellen found that what the person remembered varied from person to person., before sighing and snapping her fingers in front of her face. “…but yeah, like I was saying What do you think of my bracelet” Ellen asked her attention now focused solely on working on the fabrics as if they were in the middle of a perfectly normal conversation
