Overall Sorcha is a fairly friendly individual. She seeks out solitude now and again, especially for nap time, but otherwise she's perfectly happy socializing with others. She tends to be somewhat high energy and prefers to be out doing things instead of sitting around indoors for hours on end.

Up for exploring the outdoors or going into town for some shopping or barhopping? Sorcha would be happy to accompany you and liven up your day. She may be a bit of a drag in the afternoon, but once dusk rolls around she can be a real handful and you may have trouble keeping up with her while she hunts down a good time. Try bribing her with something shiny and you may be able to hold her attention and companionship for more than a few minutes.

While being a security officer might get her some grief from the students it also has the potential to make her some friends with the younger kids. She has a tendency to look the other way if someone breaks curfew once or twice and if she find a prank funny and harmless enough she may not intervene quickly enough to prevent it from running its course.

She may not make 'cool staff member' status since she won't go drinking or partying with underage kids and isn't above confiscating fake ID's if she finds them, but she's always willing to help a kid out if they need it and can be counted on to keep something confidential if it's safe enough to do so.

It's a little more difficult to get on this feline's bad side, but it is possible. She has a tendency to get territorial every now and again and stepping over her boundaries may get you a face full of claws if you're not careful. Trying to pin her down or keep her cooped up indoors for too long is bound to put her in a bad mood and she may develop a bit of a grudge against the offending individual.

Having a penchant for things that shine she often find herself possessing bits of jewelry that don't belong to her. Unattended property of the sparkly nature will often go missing in her presence and not too many people appreciate that. If she's caught she'll probably give it back, but otherwise you're out of luck. It's hers. You may need to put up a fight to get it back.

There's also a bit of a prankster streak in her and coupled with her feline half it can get her into some real trouble. Most people don't enjoy finding dead mice in their shoes or birds on their pillows not matter how much she tries to insist that it's a gift if she gets caught. And not everyone likes a giant cat sneaking up on them in the dark and giving the back of their neck a nice, scratchy lick. Very few people buy it when she very solemnly tells then that they need a bath and she's just helping.

Her laze-about attitude probably can't make her too many friends with the rest of the staff, either. She exceptionally laid back when she's not off perusing some adventure and often runs a little late for her security shift. She may not make enemies with the staff, but she can easily become an aggravation if she puts her mind to it.

There's also her troublesome love of walking around in her fur. She'd stay shifted for days at a time if she could get away with it. This might earn her a couple of cool points back after confiscating that ID the previous week, but it may not look too good in the staff's book if her shifting encouraged the students to use their mutations more openly and carelessly as well.

Being a part of the security team a the Academy is bound to garner some ill-will toward her from the student body. Students tend to dislike being caught doing things they're not supposed to and since she's largely nocturnal and can see in the dark she's the bane of curfew breakers everywhere. While she's willing to turn a blind eye every now and again repeat offenders will often find her to be more than a mere nuisance and she's not at all shy about making a scene if she catches someone and they don't cooperate.

Sorcha is not a relationship type of girl. She enjoys her freedom far too much so she refuses to let herself be tied down to anyone. One night stands are more her style and she's not opposed to sneaking someone into her dorm overnight every now and again, but don't expect her to make breakfast for you the next morning. She rises early and that means her temporary playmate gets to take their walk of shame at the crack of dawn.

Think you can handle the odd hours? Then feel free to try and rub her fur the right way. Or perhaps you like a challenge and think you could be the one to pin this cat down? She won't go down without a fight, but everyone likes the thrill of the chase.

Don't fit neatly into any of the categories above? Well, that's alright. I'm sure something else could be worked out instead. Throw out some ideas and we'll see what happens.

Sorcha and Seiji:

They are both the same age and work at the school so there could be one place they meet. Seiji is part time since he goes to college but he likes to go out drinking and is really friendly. Problem is he always has at least one snake on him at all times. (so not many people stick around him lon XD) So it be interesting to have these two meet and see what happens.
They could even have known and gone to the academy together since they are the same age and all and Seiji had been there since he was like...(forgot but it was a young age XD)

Sorcha and Devyn:

These two could also meet since Devyn is none to break curfew a lot, like all the time and often gets into the bar with a group of older kids. She does not really drink but she is a huge flirt and would not mind being friends with a person who would possibly bust her one night for being out late. XD

I think I could work with either of those characters easily enough. Sorcha does like to bar hop and seeing someone like Seiji out and about that she'd recognize could get her to at least strike up a casual conversation or a buy a few drinks or something. The snakes wouldn't bother her so much since she's got an animal side to her. Unless they try to bite, then she might be propted to take a gentle swipe a them.

If Devyn's a repeat offender for curfew breaking Sorcha would probably know about her at least and have been instructed to keep an eye out for her. She could either catch her in the act, or even see her out drinking with the older students on a night off. If she's off the clock she wouldn't be so inclined to get Devyn thrown out of a bar. she might even share a few drinks if she though it wasn't going to get back the rest of the staff. But she'd be keeping an eye out for her on campus the next day to see if she could get a fake ID off of her.

Thats good. So they for sure know each other from work. and possibly from going to school together then? Could run into each other at the bar and chit chat. Get wasted and need to help each other home or something lol. Snakes wont bite unless they feel like Seiji is being threatened, but they do tend to get all in peoples's personal space depending on which snake is on him.

Sorcha and Devyn:

That would be a great thread actually! She could have been told to keep a close eyes out and lucks out catching Devyn. Both work! (Devyn is leaning towards getting caught sneaking around past curfew because she does not want to have her fake ID taken because night club fun XD but who cares about what she wants =p) So really its what you are feeling more up fun and see as fund because everything you said sounds like a good thread idea too me.

Since Sorcha is in security, it makes sense for her to have to work with JJ. He's obviously a giant jerk though, so I imagine that they wouldn't get on at well. Won't help that Sorcha is hot and JJ likes to think he's the Sex King and can essentially command pants to fall at his will. I'd see there being two possibilities here: either they know each other (and likely hate one another [though that won't stop JJ from trying to get into Sorcha's pants]), or they still have to meet and grow to hate one another. Either way, I'm figuring that either security for the school or something involving the various students acting up in Kalispell would make the most sense. Lemme know what you're thinking and how you'd like to take it.

Welp, I figure Sorcha's been working at the school for at least a couple of years since graduating and deciding against college, so there's a chance that they could know each other already. I don't know how often the cops have to run up to the school, but she takes trips into town fairly often when she's not working. They might not be super well acquainted, but something tells me it
doesn't take all that much to develop a bad taste in your mouth after
dealing with the guy.

I know the dude's a douchenozzle all on his own so I doubt he wouldn't act up on school property, but it seems to me that maybe her having to run into town to help collect some of the students might provide him with more of an opportunity to flex his muscles and try to throw his weight around because she'd be on "his turf" so to speak. Like hit on the pretty woman that comes to get the kids and try to weasel a date out of her or something before she turns him down and then making a complete turn around and pulling the territorial macho man 'who do you think you are I run this town bitch' sort of nonsense maybe.

It could be that they've been lucky (well, more like Sorcha's been lucky) in that they haven't had a lot of one on one contact. Could just be a matter of seeing one another and sort of knowing that the other's there without really knowing it. If they have met, I can't imagine that Sorcha has a great opinion of JJ (which I"m cool with).

And I'm with you on the setup. Figure that there's a group of students acting up and, as usual, a security person has to come and collect them to escort them back to the school. JJ sees this as an opportunity to "trap" that hottie that he's had his eye on for a while and attempts to make it as difficult for Sorcha as possible. Sound appealing? Just lemme know, and who we think should do the making.

too lazy to switch account but I got Jason. He came back since a year or so but he was born in Kalispell so they might have known each other before, despite the age gap. Also, should she end up hurting herself during work and she doesn't want the doctor at school to just patch her up, she might come to him. He already heals JJ he might as well provide the same service to her. She sure would be less of a pain to deal with. Or they could just rant on how much of a douche JJ is!

A healer is definitely a good thing to have in mind if she's in town and away from the school. If he's a local then she'd probably at least know of him if she hadn't interacted with him personally. It seems like the sort of thing the school staff would pass around casually as a just in case sort of thing.

She's also involved in a thread with JJ at the moment and it looks like a fight could break out without much more pushing from either side. Might be interesting if they both had the same idea and tracked down the good doctor for a session if things get out of hand.

Because of the age difference, she probably was not here when he first left but he's back since a year or so, so they definitely could have met between that time, especially since he's kind of a go-to guy whenever there is a medical emergency involving mutants. I'm with that plot, you will have to ask Fate about it. Either way, I'd be happy to thread the two of them anytime

Hey Issie, it occurred to me that we had two potential followup threads to pursue at some point:

Sorcha & Guy

Sorcha & JJ

Both likely following the speed-dating and such. I could see JJ doing something stupid on purpose to get Sorcha's attention (or maybe she finds out that he's gunning for the Security Squad now, whichever is fine by me). There's probly a semi-awkward date thread in the future for Guy & Sorcha (or just hanging out, whatever). That's assuming you're still good for them, of course.

JJ gunning for the Security Squad would be a good way to get her attention whether he's doing it with that in mind or not, and since she's already security she'd be hearing about at least a handful of people that were applying for a position. She'd definitely put in her two cents as to why he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the team and maybe possibly confront him about it herself if she saw him wandering around because nothing could possibly go wrong with that. Her being in a superior position as far as time spent on the job vs newbie recruits could create some friction, too.

Semi-awkward date/hangout thread between Sorcha and Guy would be hysterical, provided he isn't too intimidated by her all on his lonesome or in a group. And she totally wouldn't take every opportunity she could possibly find to tease him or anything because that would just be mean and she's definitely not mean or a brat or anything.
