Roman chuckled and let out a small ‘aww’ as Pierce complained. “So I made you get into bed that easily,” he mused with a teasing smirk. Maybe it wasn’t his own, but still, he couldn’t resist the comment.
“Hey now, I’m being considerate and letting you choose out of a variety,” Roman replied haughtily. “And I’ll have you know I work at a bar, so I have good taste. Just don’t go blabbing to all your friends that I’m willing to hand out booze to just anyone, got it?” At the question, the older man pointed out each bottle and gave Pierce the price and his opinion on each, starting with the cheapest and going to the more expensive.
That was, until he caught the scent. His brow furrowed slightly as Pierce admitted to not wearing cologne… And that was when Roman remembered having a very similar reaction when he’d first met his neighbor next door. Even as Pierce slowly moved away, Roman’s tense, taut figure moved closer, his slit-eyes locked onto the younger boy as he sniffed the air again. He hardly paid attention to the boy’s comments about the wine, too caught up in his feline senses to think about anything else. His eyes didn’t even move away from Pierce’s at the presence of the money, and just as Roman’s canines began to sharpen….
A sharp knock came at the door, and Roman’s head finally snapped up, his eyes, teeth, and nails returning to normal even as the door opened seemingly on its own. Then a head popped through the gap – small and very feminine, with Asian features and shoulder-length blonde-dyed hair. The person’s small, dark eyes were lined with kohl. “Roman!” his neighbor, Hoon, squeaked. “I thought I hear you come home, I just want to say hi and-“ The boy’s gaze fell to the other person in the room, and his eyes widened, pink lips slackening as he took in Pierce’s appearance. “Who this?” he gasped, skittering his small frame all the way inside the room so he could get a better look. “Oh, wow! Eyes so blue! Contacts?”
