"Well," the blonde began, but paused. She furrowed her brows and looked at the girl; she couldn't see much from the dim light on her flashlight. She issued a chuckle as she moved to stand in front of the brunette, taking in the smooth silhouette.
"Most people would imagine a beach with a drink in their hand, or being surrounded with puppies-" Another laugh. "-but you..." she trailed off with a shrug. "It was unexpected, is all."
Turning, because she felt her face flush, Emma tried to make out anything else in the room worth looking at, but her thoughts kept getting drawn to the woman sitting somewhere behind her.

As Emma shifted, Blaire tuned her gaze towards the body that stood before her own. There wasn't a great deal to see with the lack of light, but she took in what she could as she was where she was. Hands twitched at her sides, and so instinctively she held them together in her lap instead, squeezing them together for fear of how they might move with another person so easily in reach.
"So I'm not boring. Or, not atypical." She denoted. Both of which were compliments to the Brit, and she had every intention of taking them as such. She liked being noticed for her difference. She liked making a different impression on this girl. She liked it all. "You brought me here, of all places. So neither are you." And with that, she smiled. Because it was a good thing; it was something she appreciated.

The blonde chuckled. And then she nodded. "Yeah, that's a pretty accurate description," she said with another chuckle lacing her voice. Still, though, the girl hadn't been far off. Blaire wasn't boring. In fact, she was far from it, though, she would have used much more colorful words if she had thought of it sooner.
"Mmm," she said slowly, tasting the words the girl had offered. "I guess." She then looked around, taking in what little she could see. Her eyes hadn't quite adjusted to the darkness and even if they had, she likely wouldn't have seen much.
"I guess you could say I enjoy the..." she trailed off, brows furrowing as she tried painting the picture with the correct words. "Simplicity," she finally said.

Simplicity. For most people, that might be an insult, but Blaire hardly looked burned by the word. For what she had been given already, she found herself far too invested in someone she had only just met. There was always the curiosity to speed up time and watch what could happen in minutes. Hours. Days.
"So you've put up with more than your share of drama recently?" She asked, staring at where a voice came from. The entire situation blurred a multitude of senses and operated under an impression of total and complete solitude. It was more than just the ability to learn about who she herself was by way of a single question, and she found herself relatively desperate to know what it was.
"Simplicity, I mean. If you'd rather that there's usually a reason to look for it." But she still wasn't exactly complaining. Curiosity left her far too invested for that, "Like, stumbling over your words at a bar, or something."
