He didn't have a name? Good. Lupe gazed at the puppy while Cassie went on, her mind trying to come up with a suitable name for one so young. Lupe's true wolf name was far too long for the likes of humans, and she could imagine it would be the same for her pup. So perhaps a piece of that name? Hmmm.... Lupe thought for a bit, scrutinizing her pup. "Hmmm.....What would you call him? I have a name, but it is not the typical human one." Lupe asked, glancing at Cassie.
But then she smiled at Cassie's acceptance of bringing Okaoka. "Okaoka is smart, yes. He would most likely be impressed that you carry my scent with you. He knows I do not like humans much." She stated simply with a shrug. Then she listened intently, tilting her head to the side. Best friend? Interesting. She naturally leaned her head over towards her mate's, giving her a swift kiss on the cheek while the puppy scrambled up to lick Cassie's face.

"Well we could name him Amaroq. In the culture of the Inuit, Amaroq is the big wolf who they tell stories about to scare their children back into bed. Or Nikita means wolf in their language too." She smiled hearing Lupe talk about Okaoka, and how her friend would be impressed that Lupe was her mate. Cassie thought that was what Lupe was probably saying. She felt Lupe's kiss on the cheek and then she had a puppy scrambling and a melodic light laugh escaped from her as she tried to escape the pup's thorough tongue.

Amaroq hmm? A wolf talked about to scare human children? Lupe observed her pup again. I can tell this one will grow up to be strong one day....yes, a name of strength suits him. she decided. He seemed healthy and with a fine coat of fur. She could feel the strength in him two just from how he squirmed to get at her mate. "Yes. I believe Amaroq will do." Lupe stated, glancing over at Cassie.
She had to smile as Cassie laughed, and chuckled herself even as the newly named Amaroq continued to lick despite Cassie's words. Still smiling, Lupe nuzzles her face into her pup's fur. It brought his attention back to her as he attempted to nuzzle her back. "He will be strong, I know it." Lupe said, glancing back over at Cassie and allowing Amaroq to lick at her own face. "He will also be a good packmate." She stated. Which did bring back another thought.
"I should go get Okaoka now. The sooner he is away from those humans, the better." She stated with a huff.

"Yeah go get Okaoka. I'll take care of little Amaroq for now." She'd miss her mate for the short time they'd be apart though. Cassie couldn't seem to help herself in that respect. It was like they were magnetized. She finally knew what the word chemistry in relation to two people meant.
"I'll be waiting." She smiled as she sat on the balcony's wood. Then she stood up, picking up the puppy and bringing him into the bedroom to snuggle with a bit. The pup was curious, friendly and sooo cute.

Lupe smiled at her mate's understanding and gave her a swift kiss before letting her pup go. "I'll be back soon." She promised, standing again and stretching. She didn't want to be gone from her mate for too long. Which was why she hurried outside again. It would be faster if she simply transformed, so she did, changing to a wolf at the entrance while shuffling out of her clothes. She could retrieve them once she returned.
For now she simply ran, heading back to the place she despised. But now at least I don't have to stay there for so long. she thought. Although it felt good for her to stretch her legs in this form. She felt more at home in this body. As a wolf. What she really should be. But slowly, she was getting more...okay with being in her other form. Cassie seemed to like it, and Lupe would do anything for her mate. Even deal with other humans. But luckily she wasn't dealing with humans right now. She was dealing with Okaoka.
It took her time to get to where he slept while avoiding the other humans. Luckily it was getting later now, so the humans would have a harder time seeing her. Convincing Okaoka to follow her took hardly any convincing, and soon she was running alongside him, heading back towards her den. Her home, as the humans would refer to it. Oddly enough, Lupe liked the idea. Which might be because her mate was there. That was most likely the case. Eventually they reached the ranch again, and Lupe was panting for the exertion. It felt good. she was finally able to come and go. Finally able to leave the boundaries of the academy. It was a thrill in itself alone.
Instead of shifting back, Lupe took the doorknob in her teeth and twisted it open. She didn't want to shift just yet. Okaoka went in first, immediately sniffing around the room and taking in the scents. It was far warmer inside. Lupe trailed after him, bringing her clothes along before shutting the door in much the same manner. It was an odd thing to watch, but it served her purpose. Now to find my mate. Her mind stated, her nose already tracking where Cassie would be. She grumbled at Okaoka, who was going further in to explore. Once he heard Lupe, he fell into line behind her, following her to Cassie.

She was cuddling with the puppy when she heard the door shut and smiled. That must be Lupe. And then a wolf walked into the bedroom and she skittered back on the floor a bit. She'd thought Lupe had said Okaoka was a FOX? And...there was a fox behind the wolf...where was Lupe? She bit her lip, unsure of what to do in this situation. But then she stopped, took some deep breaths. The wolf didn't seem to want to hurt her...beautiful wolf too. She kind of wondered if this was part of Lupe's pack. If it was, it would've been nice for her lover to have warned her about a wolf possibly walking into their house. And now she was thinking somewhat more logically but she was still kind of...not afraid exactly, but apprehensive. She had a wild animal in her house after all. Honestly at that moment she knew exactly what the fight or flight instinct was because her mind was telling her to stay, but every fiber of her body was telling her to teleport away.

The moment Lupe stepped into the room she knew something was amiss. Cassie was afraid; Lupe could smell it and see it as her mate scrambled back. Lupe wondered why that was he case as Amaroq scrambled out of her arms and hurried over towards Lupe. He recognized her scent, something that Cassie wouldn't, and also smelled Okaoka behind her. The fox in question poked out when Amaroq approached, and immediately the two were sniffing each other.
Lupe was more concerned with her mate, padding forward softly and getting onto the bed. She let out a low whine and laid down on her stomach, eyeing the brunette. Shes never seen me in this form. Lupe realized. Lupe recalled now that Cassie had never seen her shift in or out of her wolf form. So she did so now, slowly returning to her human body. Once she was, she smiled softly at Cassie. "My mate." She said, closing the distance between them and nuzzling into Cassie. "I'm sorry if I scared you."

Okay she saw the puppy running over and wondered why. She'd heard dogs had really good instincts about people, but this one was a baby, it was judging a wolf, and she'd only just gotten it. So Cassie was hesitant to trust Amaroq's instincts honestly. But instead of paying attention to the puppy, the wolf in question walked forward and got onto the bed. Crap crap crap crap she was moments away from teleporting away when she heard the wolf's whine...and it stopped her in her tracks.
That had sounded like Lupe. That was INSANE though, right? Lupe was a person, even if she badly wanted to be a wolf. Then the wolf laid down and Cassie wasn't really feeling so much afraid as curious, but there was still that fear in the back of her mind. Until the wolf shifted and Lupe was before her. Smiling. Cassie immediately breathed a sigh of relief. She...she hadn't known her mate could do that. But Lupe was amazing in so many other ways it really didn't surprise her too much. Her lover was nuzzling her and apologizing and Cassie just snuggled closer, still shaking a little bit. She was no longer afraid, but it was a kind of after-effect because she'd been trying to not show her fear.
"You did. Crap did you ever Lupe." But it wasn't an angry tone more relieved.
"I wasn't expecting that and I wish you'd told me. But I'm glad it was you." Her breathing went back to normal gradually, and she stopped shaking. At that point, one thing became abundantly clear. Cassie blushed realizing it.
"You shift into not having any clothes on, huh?" It was almost a whisper but not quite.

Her mate was still shaking and Lupe felt a strange weight on her chest. Guilt was not an emotion she was used to, nor even had a name for. Yet it was gone as soon as it appeared when Cassie nuzzled back and came closer. Cassie admitted that she had been afraid, but her tone did not seem angry. Lupe was relieved to hear that. She nuzzled into her mate and whimpered softly. "I thought you knew. I'm sorry I hadn't told you then." She said sincerely.
Gradually she could feel Cassie's breathing go down and her heart beat slow, but then their was a familiar scent in the air as her mate whispered something. Lupe leaned her head back, staring at Cassie curiously before she could register what the scent was. Then she smiled, shifting to sit on Cassie's lap and lick her neck. "Does this displease you?" Lupe asked softly, already wrapped up with her mate. She had completely forgotten about Okaoka and Amaroq at that moment, instead focusing on Cassie with something of a smolder in her eyes.

She heard Lupe's words. So her mate had thought she'd already known. That explained it. Cassie knew Lupe would never do anything to purposely scare her. Lupe was staring at her a bit, and then she saw her lover smile. Lupe sat on her lap and then licked her neck and it sent shivers down Cassie's spine for the second time today. But the difference was that this time, the shivers were OH so wonderful.
"Mm. I didn't say that it was a bad thing. Just a very very tempting thing." The voice wasn't a whisper, but once again it was quiet. And a little bit husky, if Cassie was being completely honest. It wasn't difficult for Lupe to bring out the inner heat within Cassie. They weren't mates for nothing. Cassie's hand drifted over to Lupe's thigh and gently squeezed.

A shiver went through Cassie again, but judging from her expression and the familiar way she was acting, Lupe figured it wasn't from fear this time. Her mate even admitted that it was more tempting then bad. Judging from Cassie's change in tone, it certainly wasn't bad at all. Lupe could feel the heat building up once again, and the sensation was making her quite forgetful of the two other creatures still in the room. Instead she leaned forward and bit Cassie's bottom lip, her hands slowly roaming.
"Temptation hmmm?" Lupe hummed, eyeing her mate hungrily. However it was then that Okaoka made himself known by letting out a yip. Lupe turned her head around and eyed the fox and her pup, glaring for a bit before motioning Okaoka off with a gesture. The fox took the hint and started out the door, dragging the pup away by the tail. Once they were gone Lupe returned her attention to Cassie, smirking devilishly.
