"Clubs, eh? I'll definitely want to sign up for some of those..." Kyle was already trying to figure out which ones would get him the most exposure. There were always a few that most of the cool people got involved with. Maybe he should be looking into student government? No, that was work. He should stick with his strengths: performance. He made a quick mental note to look something like that up again later.
For now, it was nodding as Franck got the name of the Canadian school right. "Yeah, I heard that a bunch of us transferred here after the fire thing," Kyle had technically been one of those more or less lost in the shuffle. He actually had decent control over his power, so it wasn't like he had to stick with a mutant school for much longer. He'd opted to come here, just as Franck apparently had opted to go somewhere else.
And now they were meeting now. "The feeling's mutual," Kyle replied with that smile again. More nodding was quick in following, before they started heading toward the West Wing and heading onward. "Are there other places that students like to hang out? You know, standard hangouts, places you can find all the cool people," Kyle gave Franck a look to indicate that they both knew full well who counted for that grouping.

Franck nodded, glad to see this new one was ready to join clubs. He’ll feel more welcomed here if he joined the other students. Sure, Kyle didn’t appear shy at all, so he probably didn’t need Franck’s little push to join a club or two but it still left Franck feeling like he accomplished something good here.
The fire incident was mentioned so casually it left Franck a little surprised. Perhaps it was just because they had a fire too that he was shocked it affected him so little. “Yes, some came here, but most returned. We... we had a fire of our own too a few months back. But it’s all good now,” he assured Kyle quickly so that he wouldn’t think there were risks here too.
Kyle seemed very interested about ‘cool’ people. He wanted to fit in and with the right clique it seemed. If Franck did not fully like the rejection of others based on the fact they were not ‘cool’ enough, he would still answer him. “We have a student lounge in the north wing. For the rest... it depends who you want to meet. The auditorium, the gym, the different clubs... we also got plenty of areas outside like an arena or stables. And of course, you can go in town if you can control your power well enough. Not that... I guess yours poses no problem. A bus can take you there if you don’t have a car. I take it every day,” he explained to him. Where were the cool kids hanging out? Franck was not sure, since he was not seeing people in terms of how cool they were or what he could get from them. He figured, giving him plenty of places and letting him decide where he should go was best.

Ah, so they had had a fire. Kyle did recall some discussion about that and all. He wasn't sure if they hadn't gotten the schools confused or something. Struck him as a bit weird, that both schools would have fires. You'd think that someone would've put some fire proofing measures in place. But he wasn't nearly as interested in that as he was getting some inside information about how the social network at this school worked.
Franck proved at least somewhat helpful in that regard. Franck knew where most people hung out and such, and he again mentioned the clubs. Maybe Kyle would join a few of the ones that stood out to him. Had to balance the cool with pulling in nerds and all. "I can definitely control my power," Kyle said, nodding and snapping his fingers. The snap, however, happened around the other hand instead. Always fun to play around with that.
"Kinda surprising that you guys have an arena. I mean, we had a stadium and all, but that sounds kinda gladiatorial. There some kinda fight club or something?" Because if fighting was what it took to end up on top, Kyle was pretty much screwed. He looked around again. They had to be getting close to the lounge or the dorm or something. At least then they could unload the cat. Question was whether they'd unload each other or not.
