Okay, Take This Needle

Zoe had to smile, definitely seeing Ezra as the sort to do precisely that. She was about to perhaps say more, when she felt a hand tap her knee. the contact made Zoe jump slightly, and it didn't help that her phone started buzzing at exactly the same time. She reached for it, nodding as Ezra kept going. "Right, right, of course," Zoe said. "I mean, we did what we needed to do. We'll definitely talk--oh, I need to get this," Zoe pointed at the phone, nodding. Soon she too was up on her feet, walking away and tucking some hair behind her ear. She felt a little guilty about abandoning Ezra, despite the fact that he'd already gotten up and talked about leaving first.

"We'll definitely plan that trip," she said, nodding at him again. She gave him a quick smile, waved with a few fingers, and then turned and started heading off, already talking into the phone. It did take a little adjusting, as she didn't want to press the phone too snugly against her ear for fear of jostling the new piercings, but she made do somehow. And she knew she'd text Ezra again later, make certain to thank him yet again for piercing her ears on such short notice and being so comfortable with it.
