Forever.

Vera had an idea of what it meant, or at least she liked to believe she did. It made her think back on all of the other times people had claimed that they'd love her forever, only to change their minds when it wasn't so convenient for them. She ended up giving them way more of herself only to find out that forever never lasted long at all. Maybe in Devyn's case it was entirely different? Maybe she actually meant it? Maybe this two sided thing wouldn't end up only being one sided to the point where Vera had to wonder.

Nodding, she gave her girlfriend a somewhat uneasy smile as she tried to pushing the sudden thoughts aside. "Yeah, I do." She nodded again.

She chuckled, her eyes still on Devyn and there was something about her mannerisms that just made Vera want to melt. This was Devyn in a form that most people didn't get to see, heck, Vera hadn't been able to witness it until they started getting serious. Sos he couldn't help but to appreciate it. "We all need a good pushing sometimes. Some more than others." While pressing her lips together, she had a sly smile on her face as she moved her lips near her girlfriend's ear. "I kinda like it when you're a soft puddle. It's kinda turning me on..." She giggled while giving her ear a kiss before glancing behind them. Vera would agree to behave for now, allowing the both of them to hold on to whatever toughness they had left..

"I did want to try to win that huge Hello Kitty plush. Could we try that next?" She pointed at the one Test Your Strength challenge. Vera never really won unless she cheated while using her powers... which she'd just do again.

Yes, forever. Devyn was that kind of person that once she actually fell in love and accepted that she loved someone, it was forever. She did fall in love with people, that was nothing new, but it was accepting it that took a while. For good reason given her track record with those that she ended up loving only for them to break her heart in the end. She really didn't want that to happen with Vera, but she understood that she was cured. At least she just hoped that she and Vera broke up on good terms so she could have the girl still in her life. She needed Vera to be there now, that was what happened when she loved them.

The others, she missed them as well but Vera was the one that mattered now. She needed her. Devyn really didn't like feeling like this. All weak, vulnerable, and just in general a not so alpha in a situation. It was hard to be big and bad when you were showing your feelings to someone who meant the world to you and you were worried about how they were going to take it all. Vera seemed to be taking it well and even agreed with Devyn on it. She could feel those beautiful hazel eyes on her, but it was hard to keep eye contact when she felt like this. Vera was the one who was the alpha at the moment and Dev had no clue that this was a turn on for Vera.

Dev just nodded her head in agreement with Vera's words about how they all needed a little pushing and some just needed it more than others. It was good that Vera understood it and it just made that much more sense why Devyn felt a little better about it being Vera who she had fallen for next. Then Vera was close to her ear, which had Devyn feeling a little warm since her ears were one of her major weakness, and Vera knew that. Bad girl. Devyn was just thankfully she didn't become putty right away at the kiss to her ear, but the words had her biting her lip and letting out a low growl. "Don't tell me that, I'm trying to be good." Devyn muttered as she took a deep breath to control her inner desired right now.

That Ferris Wheel plan still seemed like a good idea, but she did have to behave for the sake of not wanting Vera to have to deal with any drama. Granted, if Vera kept that teasing of her ear and telling her how turned on she was then Devyn could make no promises. There was a game to try out for a plush doll and Devyn felt pretty confident in her ability to win the prize without even cheating. She worked out. "You? Hello Kitty? There is a surprise." Devyn said teasing a little as she moved over to the game with Vera and paid for it for them to both get a chance. She gestured for Vera to have the first go at it.

There was just something so different about seeing Devyn's softer side. Vera only managed to catch it when they became close, or when they had gone through some trials and tribulations together. Devyn always tried so hard to keep it together, to act like a lot of things didn't phase her but when she even showed just a little bit of softness, it kind of made Vera melt. She enjoyed having a significant other that toughened it up just s much as she did, if not more but when it came to Devyn showing that other side. It just did something to her.

That and she also enjoyed testing her girlfriend's limits in public.

She chuckled, "Okay, fine." She'd agree to stop for now. When Devyn teased her about the huge Hello Kitty plush, Vera's brows furrowed. "What, a girl can't enjoy the cuteness and inaudible sass of Hello Kitty?" Hello Kitty had been one of her guilty pleasures ever since she was little. Her mom and grandparents always managed to send her authentic Hello Kitty merchandise for her birthdays and even though Vera grew out of being a little princess, fast. She never really grew out of Hello Kitty.

Now she was interested in seeing if Devyn could win it for her. She gladly stood to the side and crossed her arms, smirking, waiting for her girlfriend to take her go and give the mallet a good ol' slamming. Devyn was pretty damn strong but if she didn't get it, then that just meant Vera would have the chance to not only 1up her girlfriend but possibly cheat her way to a new toy. "C'mon ya big butch. Let's see how strong you are." The telekinetic chuckled. 

Either way it was a win/win situation here.

Devyn really didn't like her softer side, especially letting others see it. She was very much the kind of person that liked to show that things didn't really bother her and that she was pretty much chill about everything. So when it came to when she was showing the side, it was out of her control and it just made her feel vulnerable. It was hard to come off all big, bad, and tough like always when you were telling someone that you loved them. Especially when you were someone like Devyn Solway who loved someone forever and with every fiber in her being.

While she could tell that Vera loved when she got like this, she could only handle being all mushy and soft for so long before she wanted to just do something that was her usual flirtatious self. Still, it did feel nice. To be able to show this side to Vera more than once now and the other girl just know how to handle it for the most part that made Devyn feel that it was okay to show that 'weak' side of herself from time to time. A part of her still was aware that Vera was also probably testing her luck with how long she could get Devyn to be all soft in public. Just like Vera liked to test a couple of things, and Dev still could not help but to love that about her girlfriend.

"No, you can. I'll just be giving you a look is all." Devyn responded with a small smirk at her girlfriend. She was fine with her liking such a thing because there were some things that were meant for kids that Devyn liked as well. The only thing that she didn't like about Hello Kitty was that it was just a lot of pink, that color that she didn't like for the main fact that it was just too bright. Now was the time to show off her skills with this game, which she was sure she could win. "Stand back babe and get ready for your prize." Devyn said after rolling her shoulders a few times. Then she lifted the mallet up high, took a deep breath, and swung down on it with all her might. Ding!

Yes, she hit it but in the process she was pretty sure she pulled something in one of her arms. She should have stretched more. She tried to play if off like she was not feeling some pain however as she pointed with the arm that didn’t hurt to the prize that Vera wanted. "You're up." Devyn said with a tiny smirk, mostly to cover up that her arm was really hurting.

Vera rolled her eyes as she scoffed, "When don't you give me a look?" Better yet, when didn't she look at her in general. But that was fine, Vera was sure she was destined to get her big Hello Kitty plush toy even if it meant being judged by her girlfriend. It was all worth it for adorable Kitty and her big red bow. Her inner "girlie girl" was showing, just by admitting her love for it.

She took another step back when Devyn suggested it (because who knew what could happen with her being up to swing). So she stood with her arms still crossed, just waiting for Devyn to show off her might... and of course her shadow-loving-girlfriend managed to win the prize. Vera undid her arms to give her a steady clap. "Look at you. I guess you're not just mouth, you got some brawns to back it up too." She moved to jab at her girlfriend's hurt arm, without really knowing. "Thank you baby."

While the game operator took her new prize down, Vera grabbed the mallet next and situated her stance. She figured she had two ways to do it without doing much physical work- well three; Either she used her powers so it hit the bell without putting much pressure on the mallet, or going full force on the mallet itself, or just doing it the normal way.

Yeah, no. She wanted to be a show off.

She quickly lifted the mallet and at the moment she began to slam it down, she applied the same force of strength she had physically but telekinetically down on the mallet along with her own physical strength with the mallet at the same time. And of course, the DING! was like music to her ears. She set the mallet on the ground and whistled to herself as she looked over at Devyn, "I have no idea how that even happened." She pointed at the huge Domo plush over by the Hello Kitty, which she wanted Devyn to have. "I want that one, so I can give it to my monster of a girlfriend."

Moving over to her Hello Kitty plush, she hugged it and kept her arms around close. She began talking to it, "You're so fucking adorable and soft and you're going home with me tonight. Isn't Devyn so nice to win you for me? You can even sleep in her bed with me, it's so comfy." Vera turned and moved her head to the side so she could get a glimpse of her girlfriend, "Isn't that right, babe?"

"Mmm, fair point. But all my looks are different depending on what you are doing, wearing, or saying at the time." Devyn pointed out with a smirk on her face. She even tossed in a wink, unable to help but flirt just a little bit with her girlfriend. Devyn was still trying to get over that whole mushy feelings she had not too long ago so that meant it was time for play flirting and acting all big and bad for a little bit. It was probably also why she put a little too much into her swing, to get that full 'I’m super bad ass and strong' feeling back. It allowed her to pull off a win but it also caused her to get injured in the process. Just great.

"Pfft, girl you should already know this. I work out on a regular." Devyn said as she shook her head at her girlfriend’s words. Clearly Vera needed Devyn to pick her up and carry her over her shoulders as if she was some freshly hunted game animal. There was that jab that had Devyn winching but she tried to play if out with a small chuckle. Ouch. Did she know I hurt myself? Devyn wondered for a moment because she would not put it past her girlfriend pressing at a wound that Devyn was trying to cover up to make a point that Dev should not be hiding things like that from her. Who knew for sure, all that was on Devyn's mind was the dull pain and how Vera was going to go up there and show her stuff.

Vera did pretty well but part of Devyn wondered if her girlfriend used a bit of power help, but she could not say that her girlfriend was not strong on her own. Strong enough to hit the bell without her power, who knew,. Devyn then was picking another prize, one that Devyn didn't even know what to call the thing. It looked like a little turd monster or something, who thought it was a good idea to make a toy the color brown and all...that shape was crazy. "A chew toy? For me? So kind." Devyn teased as she took whatever this Domo thing was and then was so giving her girlfriend a look at her words to that Hello Kitty.

"Uh, if she is at the end of the bed or not in between us. Cause I make no promises of her survival if she is between you and me." Devyn said with another smirk. She had that other look in her eye, the kind a hunter had in their eyes when they saw their prey before them and they were ready to have it. Vera's underwear knew what it was like to get in the way of Devyn and when she wanted to be close to Vera's body. Hopefully the plush doll would not have to learn the same lesson.

Well, she had a point there. Even though she was used to most of Devyn's looks, Vera still had to ask why her girlfriend looked at her the way she did. It was usually for different reasons but most of them ended with them getting it on. Surprise, surprise. The telekinetic smiled as she shook her head and looked away after that wink her girlfriend tossed at her. Such a total flirt.

"Oh trust me, I know. Explains why you always tend to outlast me during you know what." Devyn's animalistic side could also be blamed for that. That was something Vera didn't really mind admitting. The girl had stamina, she was strong, had the whole heightened sense thing going on, and she was ridiculously cocky. Gotta give credit where credit was due. Just not all the time. Vera needed to make sure Devyn's ego was knocked down a few notches every once in a while.

She kept her plump lips shut and didn't mention a single word about using her powers, because she did and had no regrets either. "Hey as long as you chew on that and not on my stuff, then so be it." The telekinetic then flashed her girlfriend 'that look' - That look that just screamed 'You know what the hell I'm talking about'. Devyn had a habit of destroying things, shadow beast form or not.

Vera let out a surprisingly-not-so-surprising gasp as she tried to cover Hello Kitty's ears. "Don't say that in front of her, she's super sensitive." While uncovering them, she hugged her new big plush super tight. "It's okay, she didn't mean that. She'd never put a hand on you." Promising the toy with so much love and nurturing support. Only before moving it out of her face and sticking a tongue out at her girlfriend. Vera then started walking but only to stop when she noticed a group of girls walking past, one looking towards Devyn, calling her name and waving as she smiled that ugly smug ass smile at her girlfriend.

She stopped and turned, trying to move Hello Kitty out of her face once more. "Uh..." Did... did that girl just? "Who the fuck was that? Do you know them?"

Devyn was such a total flirt; it was something she could honestly not help after doing it for so many years. It was like second nature by now but at least she was only doing it for fun now and not actually trying to get into someone’s pants. "Heh, thanks." Devyn said, taking the ego boost in stride. She even stood like she was the hottest thing on the planet; even if she generally stood like that, but now she was just ridding the pleasant high she got from knowing her girlfriend did enjoy when they were intimate. Devyn always figured she was a good lay; or people would not have come back for more, but it felt good to hear it. Especially because Devyn had that whole problem of wondering if Vera wanted a toy more than her.

It did really come down to lot of practice, working out, and also her mutation that made her more animistic. A lot of people might not have admitted it out loud, but they so loved that feeling of being prey. That someone’s wanted them, to be chased, and then devoured. Now Devyn was getting hungry for some actual food and not sweets. "No promises." Devyn responded when her girlfriend said as long as she didn't chew on her stuff. Vera should have known Dev's habit of not leaving certain things in a good condition, shoot anyone that had been with Devyn should have known that and it didn't even matter what form she was in. The Hello Kitty prize was big, way too big for Vera to be expecting it to fit in bed with Devyn and her also in that said bed.

Vera was speaking about the doll as if it were a living being, oh joy. Devyn had an amused exception on her face as she just simply looked at her girlfriend as she talked like she was going to take care of the thing. "You do know our beds are singles, right? Two people can only lay on it if they lay close, that kitty is staying at the end of the bed." Devyn pointed out as she crossed her arms over her chest. So I can kick it off. Devyn thought to herself but that thought quickly floated away as her name was called and a group of girls were walking past. One girl in particular waving at Devyn with a sexy smile, that almost matched the look she was getting form the other girls.

Of course she waved back and said 'sup' and she was pretty sure she knew the girl who called her name; name. Then Vera was saying something which had Devyn's attention as Vera asked what Devyn felt was an obvious question. The curse word also indicated that Vera was not please so she tried to choose her words carefully. "Just some girl's I know. Isabelle was the girl that called my name and I think those were her friends....I want to say Amber and Clare." Devyn responded, not sure of the others and the last two were a rough guess as her head turned to look at them still walking away, to best figuring out if the names would click of course.

Vera simply blinked and watched Devyn take on the whole egotistical stance. Captain America, much? Her eyes rolled as she continued to hold on tight to her new prize. Vera could only imagine how many adorable instagram pics she'd be taking with it. #HelloKitty&Me #MyGirlfriendIsBetterThanYours #KawaiiBitch. Girls were going to be so jealous.

"Good thing we have a spray bottle and rolled up newspaper waiting back at the Academy, isn't that right Kitty?" Her attention was towards her new inaudible friend. Since Devyn didn't want to make any promises, Vera had to make a comment towards it. Then of course, Devyn had to make Hello Kitty feel even worse with reminding her of their bed's set up. "Way to make her feel bad, she'll fit just fine on our beds. Isn't that right, Kitty? Yes it is. You're so adorable." The thought of moving out and living in their own place came about.

Vera just stood and waited for her girlfriend to explain. "Oh," Interesting. Her brows lifted as she lowered her plus toy to rest on top of her feet. "So where do you know them from? They go to the Academy?" She was trying her best to not show her overly possessive side, but it was pretty hard. She didn't want Devyn to question it, but she couldn't help it. She was curious and Devyn was known to be a flirt, among other things... that Vera so happened to experience first hand.

There was no shame in asking.

Devyn let out a growl when Vera spoke of a spray bottle and a rolled up newspaper. She hoped her girlfriend was just kidding about that, or Vera was going to be losing some clothing articles later on. Devyn did already have a problem with tearing certain undergarments, but she would make a special exception to really wreck up some of Vera's other articles of clothing if her girlfriend thought she was going to get away with hitting her with a newspaper or spraying her with water. That didn't even work for training, if anything that actually made the animal in question madder. The Hello Kitty was so going to be torn.

Dev could see it now. Vera would try and squeeze it in the bed with them, Devyn would get in the mood somehow, it would be in the way, and she would do what she had to do to make sure it was no longer in the way. Maybe she should look for a Hello Kitty blanket to buy for her instead; a big one. Dev just rolled her eyes slightly at Vera’s talk to her clearly now favorite toy. Okay; yeah, Dev might have been getting a little jealous over the stupid stuff toy. She had told Vera she loved her today and here that stuff thing was getting more attention than her. Not fair.

At least with the whole question about the girls Vera seemed pretty chill. She didn't look like she was about to break someone, so that was good. Where did Dev know them from? "Uh...the one that said hi to me did go to the academy. She graduated last year and the other two…I know from her hanging out with them and a few college parties I went to in town." Devyn explained. She didn't see any harm in telling Vera things. After all, her girlfriend asked and she didn't see the harm in it.

Was that a growl? Did Devyn just grow at her? Vera's smile brightened as she tried wiping away a spot of dirt that was found on her new plush. "Now, now." She warned while still trying to clean that small spot off, "Your animal is showing..." Which didn't bother her one bit. If anything, Vera found it adorable, sexy even and she'd never test Devyn's limits with a spray bottle and rolled up newspaper, but wouldn't be against trying it. Just for the shits and giggles.

If there was any animosity that Devyn had against the toy, Vera could't feel it. That or she was trying to ignore it, because now Dev had no choice. She won her the toy fair and square and now Vera was going to flaunt it everywhere at the fair, and even until they got back home... and probably after that too.

"Oh..." She simply replied, as her hazel eyes glanced to the far distance as she saw the group of girls continuing on. Probably gossiping and talking about how much better looking Vera was compared to the rest of them. That of course, was Vera's current logic. She shrugged nonchalantly despite the fact that she was curious, picking up her toy again and started to walk forward but still spoke to her girlfriend as she moved. "So did you like, fuck any of them?" The telekinetic shrugged again, "I mean... they seemed pretty confident in saying hi to you with those ugly smug look on their faces..." Like a bunch of whores. She knew how the game went, especially with how she used to smut around during her single days. You'd see a couple together, knowing you were either into one of them or had slept with them, called out their name, and did that flirty finger wave.

She wasn't stupid and if that was the case, then Devyn could've ignored them.

It was most certainly a growl and Devyn was tempted to have a bite follow it soon if her girlfriend kept it up. Vera did seem to love pushing her buttons, but Devyn knew how to get her girlfriend back in a different way. She knew what her growling did to the other girl; even if most of the time she honestly could not help it. The growls would just slip out when certain feelings were present and Vera often got two kinds of growls from Dev. The warning kind of growl and the sexual kind of growl Devyn let out as she would be in control and just feel that possessive side of her take over. Vera was hers after all; no one could have the girl. Not now, not when Devyn had managed to tell the other girl that she loved her.

Vera was stuck with her, at least that was what Devyn hoped would be the case. She could not lose someone else she loved; Vera was the fourth and hopefully the last person that Devyn would have to feel this way about. Even if she still doubted that she would be able to get such happiness for long, she still had hope. Dev just let out another louder growl when Vera pointed out that 'her animal' was showing. The topic however was on the girls that had said hi to Dev and thus Dev was now feeling guarded for another reason. She hoped Vera didn't think that she cheated on her, because she would never do that when they had both agreed that it was just the two of them.

Then came the question that Devyn didn't actually expect anyone to ask her in a calm way. Yes, she had gotten that question a lot but typically the girl was yelling when she was asked. Was this a trap? A trick question? Vera had to know the answer so there was no point in lying about it. "Uh...yeah. Just two of them, the other were more of just some making out." Devyn answered as she already started to look towards the ground in a submissive way. Shit, should she have said the make out part. Well at least she didn't say the one that had said hi to her was one that she had slept with more than once and the other that she slept with, well that one it really depended on what you viewed as fucking when it was with another girl.

"That was all forever ago. Like a year and a few months, pre Zoe...well, maybe one of them when I was with Zoe but I've been all about you since we started going out." Devyn said in her defense. She just felt the need to point that out. Just in case Vera was upset that she had slept with any of them. Dev would have said that she was surprised the one girl remembered her but thinking on it; what they did, nope she would be lying if she said she was surprised the girl remembered her.

If there was anything that Vera didn't worry about since her relationship with Devyn, it was being cheated on. It was just something that she didn't assume, or expect, or even care for. Nor did she want to speak something like that into existence. Her girlfriend never gave her a reason to question it. She trusted Devyn but at the same time, she knew how much of a flirt her girlfriend was... Vera knew she was the same way. It was just how they were but sadly, that didn't stop her from being jealous... or territorial, or even over-protective.

"Oh ok." She cleared her throat as she was given an answer. Which would make sens of why they felt the need to make their-selves known to her out in public. Like a text wasn't good enough. Armatures. She licked her bottom lip as she made note of it, not really questioning it, nor saying anything after-wards.

Then her girlfriend continued, causing Vera to turn around with her toy still in her arms. "That's fine," Slightly shaking her head as it tilted, "I never said you weren't all about me since we started dating. I just asked a question." Okay so maybe she was a tad bit irked, but doing her best not to show it but it wasn't Devyn she was irked at. She had done nothing but be a really amazing girlfriend. "I trust you, it's other people I don't trust. So you don't have to defend yourself." Both brows lifted as she turned back around, "You still up for that Ferris wheel ride?"

If Devyn knew that Vera honestly was not worried about her cheating on her, well Devyn would have been over the moon happy. To have someone who actually trusted and didn't think the worst of her would have just made her feel really loved. Yes, she was a flirt but if she gave someone her word she was going to keep it. She lived too much on trust to not be all about it and would not do such a thing on purpose. Hell she made sure not to drink too much when she was in a situation that she knew she could slip up if she didn't remain sober. Thinking about cheating and relationships caused a pang in Devyn's chest for a moment but she ignored it.

This was Vera, not Zoe, and Devyn wanted to believe that things would be different here. She needed to believe it in order for the fear to not consume her to the point where she thought breaking up would be the best idea. Not when she had managed to be able to come to terms with how she honestly felt about the other girl. Dev just stared at her girlfriend a moment when Vera just said okay. It was fine. Never said that it was not all about her since they started dating and that it was just a question. Now Devyn felt bad and like an idiot for feeling the need to defend herself on the subject.

Her green eyes now gazed slowly towards the ground as she looked a little defeated. Vera’s next words had Devyn feel like she was about to just break right there. In a good and bad way. Break in a way that just let everything she was holding locked up inside her out to the girl that trusted her. Bad because she didn't want to let that all out, especially not here of all places when it was so public and open. "...Vera." Devyn managed to get out as she looked up to her girlfriend. Then came the question about the Ferris Wheel that had Devyn going over to her girlfriend and moving the toy out of the way so she could give her a hard kiss.

"Yes, I do...but I should warn you that if we go up there first instead of another ride, I'm going to take you." Devyn responded, whispering the words into her girlfriend’s ear after she pulled back from the kiss. How could she not just take the girl that just spoke of how she trusted her?

Sometimes it sucked, knowing how jealous and territorial Vera could be from something as small as her girlfriend being waved at. But there was just so much behind a simple wave and not everyone knew that. People had intentions, not all good, and Vera had no problem trusting Devyn but it was others that Vera would not trust... especially if she didn't know them.

It had developed into something deeper for Vera, even though she hadn't necissarily said it. She loved Devyn a lot and it was as if it kept developing into something more the more they were around each other. She didn't want her jealousy and over-protectiveness to run Devyn away because it was possible. She was pretty sure that's what caused her and Riley to end before anything really began. How far would her looks take her with Devyn.

In her mind, she knew that Devyn was probably used to being with girls like Zoe. Okay, there's no need to bring myself down. She told me the truth, and I trust her. The end. She noticed Devyn looking towards the ground and now she felt bad, she was bound to apologize for even asking about the girls, but her name was said. Then came the kiss that had taken Vera off guard but once it all sunk in, she allowed her plush to fall to the ground, returning the kiss.

It was what Devyn said next that did something to her.

Her eyes closed for a brief second, completely forgetting that they were in public. There was a feeling when her words hit Vera's ears in a whisper. Something had come over Devyn but whatever it was, Vera wouldn't complain. "Maybe I want you to take me." The volume of her voice matched her girlfriend's as she pressed her lips against Dev's ear.
