The mention of the stalker bots had Tim chuckling and rubbing the back of his head. He was pretty sure he'd all but coined that phrase, and he felt a little guilty about it. "Hey, we could totally make some serious coinage from patenting that," he pointed out. Though he knew they could only do so much. When the tech started pushing the boundaries people got suspicious, and they couldn't get too much attention or anything.
Though again: distraction. Tim wasn't having it. Karsen admitted to having "got caught," and he made it sound like nothing much had happened. "Sounds like you're dating a girl and hiding her," Tim said. "Which is low, man. I told you, like, the first date with Lux," he shook his head, though he couldn't help but smile as he nibbled on the food.
"Damn lucky you brought Chinese food," he said, pointing the fork at Karsen in a manner that was about as threatening as a kitten attempting to bat.

“Yep, I think ima start the who KFI thing soon, especially since i'm working on a video game. Coupled with the headsets, I could appeal to the gaming population of the school” Karsen sighing when it wasn’t enough to distract Tim from the girl thing. Yes for as long as him and Tim had been friends he had never seen Karsen into a girl or guy. Karsen was pretty sure it wouldn’t matter to him either way because people were people.
‘Well, I haven’t asked her to be my girlfriend yet, I’m thinking about doing it after the movie and stuff.” He said nodding as if agreeing with himself. It was nice to say it out loud and stuff because he was kind of nervous plus he figured Tim was his best friend “like, I don’t get the whole girlfriend and boyfriend thing...but i’d be pretty jealous and upset if I seen her with someone else...so that means I like her enough right?” He was of course asking Tim because he had no idea what to do in these sort of situations.
Also an angry Karsen was not something anybody had ever seen and his powers tended to go haywire when he was angry. He had done his best to only get angry in his room, though it mostly after fights with his father and not out of jealousy. 'Of course, the food was a bribe

It definitely sounded as though Karsen had a plan. He certainly had Tim nodding again (though again: not that hard). Though the conversation wasn't enough to distract Tim from the girl thing. very little was enough to distract Tim from talking about girls, period, which you'd think that Karsen would have learned by this point.
At least he gave in. "Huh, I don't know if it's really something you ask. I think i did with Lux?" he crinkled his brow, tilting his head and trying to remember. "I just know we ended up going out a lot of times and it just sort of happened. Though I don't think it's like that for everyone. Hell, man, you know this is, like, my only real relationship and that Lux is some sort of strange inhuman being who's too damn perfect." Tim had to shrug then. "But, yeah, it sounds like you'd like to see her exclusively. I'd wait for prom, see how that goes, and then see if she'd be interested."
And with that, Tim went back to nomming on his bribe. "Should I be worried that you wanted to bribe me?" he asked, looking up. "Or that you did such a good job?"

Karsen shrugged his shoulders "Thing is I kind of get the feeling that if I don't ask she won't exactly know I like her. You know me dude, i don't even know how interact with the few friends I have outside of tech stuff." It was true, he was pretty sure a lot of his interactions started because he was fixing things. Also because he was breaking things, but that was another story altogether. It wasn't his fault that fires just happened to start every once in awhile. He was really getting good at not starting fires and his devices were working better. Not on the first time but he was getting there.
"Yeah that was the plan, besides we're gonna hang out a lot more. We have computer class and stuff." He shrugged again, he would make sure he was absolutely sure before he asked her. He didn't want things to get more awkward and the worst thing she could do was say no. Though the fact that Tim brought it meant that he wasn't going about this the wrong way, he didn't exactly know any girls to ask.
"Both, definitely after all once you accept a bribe then you start accepting more. I'm still not over the fact you thought I hypnotised her." He said shaking his head and drinking more soda. Tim had all the faith in his girls skills.

Yeah, Tim definitely understood not feeling comfortable talking to someone, especially a girl someone. How often had he found himself in more or less the same situation? He'd sort of gotten over it.
Tim nodded. "Yeah, you should probably just do it," he agreed, gesturing. "I think that surprises them sometimes, especially the pretty ones. They, like, don't see it coming or something?" Tim added another shrug and a weird look. he felt like he should be giving more advice here, maybe suggesting that Karsen read through a phamplet or something along those lines. Some part of Tim was also tempted to try acting the expert, especially given his own good luck. Were it anyone but Karsen, he probably would have opted to just that.
"Dude," Tim said, "can you blame me, honest?" he said rolling his eyes. "Besides, it wasn't like you were instantly on board with the fact that I was actually going out with Lux," of course, it probably hadn't helped that Tim had more or less been talking about the girl for quite some time before actually "pulling the trigger" so to speak.
He furrowed his brow at the memory. "You know," he said, raising a hand and pointing, "I think that I actually ended up hooking up with her because of a computer problem..." Tim tilted his head and gave a sort of "imagine that" slight frown and head bob. "Clearly computer problems are the way of our people getting girls."

Karsen nodded taking it all into consideration, after all Tim was the one with the girlfriend not him. It still felt kind of awkward to talk about girls with the older boy. Yes girls had been a recurring topic in their conversations but Karsen normally just nodded and made noises at the appropriate times. He wasn't sure if he should be worried or happy that he could finally contribute to the conversations more. "I don't know, but I was down at the auto shop...I almost finished refurbishing this beautiful classic mercedes and i meant old school mercedes top down and everything. The owner of the shop is letting me buy it off him with a mix of labor and money." He said wanting the topic to get off girls but knew it was probably hopeless.
"No I don't blame you but still...Hypnotism? Besides..I wasn't sure if you were being serious and I don't really change," He said shrugging his shoulders as he reached for another container of food. It was no secret that Karsen was a creature of habit, and considering the fact that he seemed to deviate from his routine a lot recently he wasn't always in the best state of mind.
"Yeah, how else are we supposed to impress the girls, I can't walk two steps without tripping unless i'm skateboarding or don't use my powers for a day." He said shaking his head at his friend. He was pretty sure the glasses didn't help either, but at least he didn't Have braces also.

A car. Somehow the thought never really crossed Tim's mind. Probably because he'd been used to public transportation for so long that he sort of just assumed that he'd keep on using it for the time being. Still, even he had to admit: "Sounds like a pretty awesome car, man," and also likely to get all the ladies, but Tim didn't quite want to say that.
Karsen did round things back to the hypnotism, and Tim had to smile and stretch out his hands at that. "C'mon man, mostly a joke, and people change all the time," he knew that latter first hand, his own life being quite the example of it. He knew of a few others that had grown too. Considering all the crap they'd gone through, it really only made sense.
"Skateboarding could work," Tim offered, considering, "with the right girl..." he trailed off, his thoughts going down a different path than girls (to the surprise of everyone, including Tim). "Have we tried attaching rockets to skateboards yet? There has to be something there..."
