Selina smiled, “I’m rarely, if ever, the right type of girl, come to think of it,” she joked. Selina knew her way around some of the town… sort of, but she’d lived in Santiago all of her life. Adjusting to a completely different culture was enough of a shock and adjusting to a different town and learning her way as well as the language and focusing on school… it was all a bit much sometimes. She’d adjusted well enough so far, but she wasn’t exactly immune to homesickness either.
She loved the idea of travel and there was much she had enjoyed about moving here, but sometimes it would be nice to know that there was someplace to return to. Right now, she just had Bellefonte, and whatever apartment her mom had found in Nevada which she knew was temporary at best. Selina found other distractions though, and the man across from her had the potential to be just that.
Selina shrugged at his response and smiled, “There are many types of intelligence and I’d wager that you’re far more musically knowledgeable than I’ll ever be,” she offered honestly. She highly appreciated music, but she’d never played an instrument in her life, and most likely never would. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to learn, it was just that it took time and money that she didn’t have to spare.
Selina laughed at his answer, “I’m sure it’s the bane of just as many beautiful women,” she responded with a grin. “Though, I’ll keep that in mind. Any particular type of closet you’d prefer?” she asked. “Or is a bedroom acceptable? If closets are a thing of yours though, I’m flexible,” she teased. Selina took another drink of water as she worked on her potato, her fatigue from using her power fading quickly now that she had food in her system.
