Erika grimaced slightly at that; She didn't have all that much interest in Dirty Laundry. And having the cat actively working on 'counterspying' sounded like more trouble than what it was worth. She'd rather not get into more trouble with the blog than what she had already. "I don't know how comfortable I would be with that," she replied, her eyes narrowing. "I'd rather not be a part of this at all. What Dirty Laundry writes about me is between me and the blog, and I honestly don't care about it anymore. If the blog has nothing better to do than write about my life, that says more about the blog than it does about me."
Erika lifted her hand and rested the palm of it against her cheek. "I think you're better off finding someone who actually have something to gain from this," Erika looked over at the cat. "I wish I could help, but honestly, I don't have much information on the blog. At least, not more than anyone else have, but I can recommend talking to Ellen Banks; she's had a personal vendetta against the blog for quite some time now. She might be more inclined to help."
Why the cat even cared so much, Erika didn't understand. She could understand wanting to put an end to it all, sure, but so few people even cared anymore. She could also understand people getting hurt and riled up, but that wasn't Erika's problem. Not anymore. Erika had far too many things on her plate as it was.
Hmm, it did seem as though this was something of a dead end. Well, not precisely that. Humphries did learn several things from this encounter. And he now had at least one face to face conversation with Erika Bellefonte. Perhaps this wouldn't look like too resounding a success from the outside, but Humphries could see the game several moves ahead.
"no reason to be dragging you into fight that is not yours," he offered, wishing that he could make the computer sound more consoling. At least he was able to choose the words, to some degree. He'd certainly work on getting a better communication device built for when he needed longer conversation.
Ah, and a name. Humphries actually perked up at that, his tail swishing. "Had put her into consideration. given your recommending, will certainly do looking into it," he bobbed. "Still would be most willing to be accepting any information or help you could give. Also being aware that am hired to maintain safety, and that is including your own," he looked up at her, waited a moment, then nodded.
Then it was off his perch, give himself a few licks, and take a few steps. "Being conclusion of our business?" he sent through the computer, not needing to quite be next to it. "Not worrying about device: people be coming by later to pick it up." He paused for another moment before purring and letting out one more word of explanation: "Interns."

"If I can think of anything else, I'll be sure to let you know." She could always dig through some old posts and see if she could come up with anything, but in all honesty, Erika cared very little about the mission, but she supposed there was little harm in offering what she knew. Not that it was a whole lot, mind, but if anything popped up... She didn't get why the cat bothered. It wasn't as if Dirty Laundry did any real harm. Sure, not everyone enjoyed having their deep, dark secrets pulled out, but really... Who even cared anymore?
"Yeah," she nodded. "I don't have much else to add, I'm afraid. I know as little as the next person." At least it wasn't a lie. Her eyes followed the cat before drifting over to the computer. She offered it a curt nod before turning towards the cat again. "Alright," she replied, tossing the computer a skeptical look, as if it would blow up if she came close to it.
Well, this surely had been quite the... Well, whatever. "It was uh... Nice, seeing you again, Mr. Humphries." Following the cat to make sure he'd be able to get the door open. Once in the hallway, the brunette opened the door and offered the cat a slight bow with her head. "Take care."
