Awkwardly laughing at the comment about Beau, Erika nodded slowly. Yeah, certain things was clearly left unsaid, and in a way, she was actually happy about Beau not knowing. Or at least, she hoped that he didn't. Though, one couldn't be too sure these days. Heck, Erika didn't even know if anyone safe for her and Liz did know. Maybe it was better like that.
"The internet?" Erika asked, her brows furrowing slightly. Then a faint "ah" fell through her lips and she scrunched her nose. Even so, why on earth would Erika have any interest in her sister's sex life? She had her own to swoon about. She didn't need to dig into her sister's as well.
The joke her sister offered had Erika rolling her eyes. "Yeah, yeah," she replied, swatting her hand in the air before shrugging. She had to remind herself that her sister's taste wasn't nearly that bad. It struck her that it was easy to grow arrogant when you thought you knew it all. She turned her attention towards the fabric Elsa held up. Reaching her own hand out, she ran the tips of her fingers against it before nodding. "That one works."

Elsa just smiled slyly as Erika repeated the bit about the internet. Perhaps she was teasing her sister just a little bit, but, well, that was what having siblings was all about. They couldn't really joke around like that with Alexis after all, or, even more amusing to think about, Abel.
The joke regarding fabric got about the response Elsa expected. The swat, the rolled eyes, it all pretty well matched Elsa's expectations. She just smiled with her sister, secretly glad that she'd been right about this particular bit. It was nice to know that she had some talents that didn't extend to organizing and killing people or ripping thoughts from other people's heads. She smiled.
"Good, I thought so," she said, feeling a bit more confidence growing. She tossed her hair again, looking around. "Are we going to need to work out details like hemming or lining or anything?" Elsa was already looking through the other fabrics, studying them with something only a little short of the intensity she had when looking through books in a library.

"Are you doubting my skills?" Erika asked, a smirk on her lips now as she chuckled softly. "You got to pick the fabric. You no longer have a say in anything from here on and out." Giving her sister's shoulder a push, Erika's head shook. "Go pay for it. I have a few more things to grab and we can get out of her." Elsa liked being in control, but this was Erika's turf. She just had to sit idly by and wait for the dress to finish. As much as Erika was sure it would suck, Elsa had no other choice.
Erika then turned towards the aisle and looked over the various fabrics. Picking a few of different colors and shades, she started moving about the shop, collecting other items such as thread, zippers and clasps. Every now and then she tossed her sister a glance, offering her a shit-eating grin.
Did Erika enjoy the shift of balance here? Well, of course she did. That was hardly a big secret. Considering how Elsa was often the one in control, it was nice to know that there was something Elsa couldn't do better than Erika.

"Well, you were having me pick a fabric not ten seconds---" Elsa began, only to find her usual quips actually being shut down by her sister. Elsa couldn't help but smile as Erika steamrolled right over any and all further jabs, sarcastic asides, or counterarguments that Elsa could come up with. She simply raised her hands in surrender as Erika finished, then nodded.
"As you command, my sister," she said in a deep voice, adding a slight bow. With a smile, she dug her card out and sauntered over to the counter. The card would go through the machine without the slightest bit of trouble, and Elsa was quick in pointing out the fabric and saying that there would be a bit more coming along very shortly. She gestured at her twin. "Though I suppose that goes without saying," she said dryly. It wasn't as though they didn't have matching faces after all.
Then Elsa simply settled in, watching with some amusement as her sister took control. It actually did Elsa some good, seeing Erika excel at something, be so wholly and totally in her element. Maybe there was hope for the two of them yet... or, well, at least one of them.

Once Erika had decided that she'd gathered more than enough essentials, she slowly made her way towards the counter where her sister was still waiting. Offering her sister an almost beaming smile, she placed the various items onto the desk and gestured for it to be added with the rest. You know, sometimes it was actually kind of nice not to worry about the cost of something. Sure, it made their lives easier, and more often than not, came with a set of judgmental stares, but that was to be expected.
"And the best part? I don't even need you for fitting," she said, looking over at her sister. "Guess that's one good part about being identical," she mused. It made the process a whole lot easier. That much was sure. Like, she didn't have to waste her time getting measurements, or asking her sister to drop by to make sure the dress actually fit.
All she had to do was put it on and take a look in the mirror. "And we'll never run out of clothes," she added. Not that Erika ever saw herself digging through her sister's closet, but that was a story for another time.

Ah yes, there she was. Elsa could only smile as her sister placed an armload of various materials on top of the counter. The shopkeepers just seemed to roll with it, only a little pleased at seeing the two enjoying themselves and purchasing a decent amount of product.
"Oh darn, I'll have to miss a fitting," Elsa said flatly. "I suppose that will make up for all the ones you had me sit in on when we were younger," Elsa had to smile at that. It had often been a trick: no reason for both siblings to sit in for the same dress, considering that their bodies had always matched up almost too perfectly. It took some time for their mother to catch on, and after a few attempts at paired fittings, well, sometimes it was better to bow out with something resembling grace.
"More like I'll never run out of clothes," Elsa continued dryly. The clerks were busy packaging the fabric, sliding it into bags and getting everything nice and ready for the two of them. Soon enough, they'd have several bags to carry, and Elsa would be working her arms through them. "Is there anything else we needed to pick up? Or are you too eager to get started?" she asked Erika, looking over with a raised eyebrow and a half-smile of amusement.

A shit-eating grin was turned in Elsa's direction. "Sorry not sorry," she replied. Being identical twins surely had its perks. At least until people learned to tell them apart, which admittedly was hard, but not impossible. They already knew a few people who had learned to catch onto the subtle differences. Like the way Erika's face was slightly rounder, and Elsa's more defined. Or the slight, barely visible scarring around the nails on Erika's fingers.
"Touche," Erika replied as she accepted her own handful of bags. She then started moving towards the door, her head shaking. "No, I've got everything I need." She pursed her lips as she used her shoulder to push the door open, holding it as such as she waited for her sister to pass through it. "How about yourself?" she asked. She had all day, though, the sooner she got to start on the dress, the better it would be. Especially as you never knew if any complications would arise.
It was one of those things you just had to expect.

The not apology had Elsa chuckling a little before gathering up their spoils. Yes, that was definitely Erika all over. Had Elsa known she would, of course, have agreed to some degree on the slight differences from one twin to the next. Those that truly knew them knew well enough to tell them apart without even really trying. It just made Elsa feel a bit better about herself, overall.
"Well, considering that everything we're here for is for you, I think we're done," she moved along, sliding across the door with a slight nod toward her sister as she went. "I'll help you get these to wherever, and then I do have business of my own to attend to. If I'd known that the student council would actually be involved planning prom I would've called us something else. Maybe, Student Advisory Board or something catchier."
Elsa sighed, but gathered up her things. She nodded to her sister and then they both started home.
