Tim did realize that sex was a part of a relationship. His penis liked to remind him with alarming regularity, not to mention his various online friends and a few of his more outspoken commenters on his site. But he also knew that he didn't want to push Lux. Oh, he definitely wanted her: she was literally the girl of his dreams. But he didn't want that to be something he forced or pushed.
So he'd just deal with the neverending parade of awkward boners that Fate seemed determined to give him.
"Super hard," Tim mumbled, referencing the past conversation but also addressing his thoughts. He rubbed Lux again, turning his eyes back to watch the screen. This was definitely nice, the whole part of a relationship that was drastically overrated. Though Tim, being Tim, of course couldn't keep his mouth shut: "So, do you know the best parts for us to make out or should I just sort of wing it?"

Tim's question had Luxanna's eyes widen slightly as she clearly didn't get the joke - if there even was one. Her head pulled a little away as she squinted her eyes then, along with her brows furrowing. "Timothy Ife Tawfeek," she said, shaking her head. Why would he say something like that to someone so obviously awkward? Was he trying to single-handedly make her heart explode? She could already feel the deep, crimson red blush spread across her cheeks in a rapid speed.
Turning her head back towards the TV, Lux bit her lower lip as she sighed. "Be glad Jack's not hiding in here somewhere." There was a touch of amusement to her voice now. After all, had Jack heard that, he would have brought his bat up to Tim's face right away and wouldn't even bother asking any questions. Sometimes having such an overprotective could be both a gift, and a curse.
In this case, Lux wasn't entirely sure which counted the most.
She could never fathom how someone could be so forward on such subjects. In a way, she kind of envied that. She wished these things didn't make her as uncomfortable as they did. Or maybe, uncomfortable wasn't quite the right word... Awkward? Embarrassed?

Tim has to raise his brows as Lux brought out his full name. It was odd to hear that middle name said, let alone pronounced correctly (which had been a fun conversation in and of itself). Of course, Lux didn't hold too much more authority when she started blushing not soon after finishing. He kept his attentions on her for a while longer, already knowing that he could handle it for a just a bit longer.
lip bite, then talk about Jack, enough to have Tim laughing and turning back to the movie. "Well, yeah, he'd probably be very needy. Plus, you'd have to take him to the bathroom every five seconds or something. I think he needs his hand held," Tim adjusted his glasses, looking at the screen for a few seconds as the beginning continued. "you know he cares about you, right?" he didn't turn away. "I think that's part of why he's a dick to me sometimes. He just wants you to be happy."
Tim paused again, then looked over at Lux, his head slightly tilted. "I can get that. You're someone that people really want to protect," he held up the hand that was on her arm, palm pointing out, fingers up, hand still on her, "which is a good thing, by the way. It just means that everyone knows how special you are."
including the one who still couldn't believe he was sitting there with his arm around her.

Chuckling softly at the comments about Jack, Luxanna's hand quickly covered her mouth, as if it was taboo for her to laugh on Jack's behalf. It felt almost mean, even if it was true: Jack was needy. Always had been. And part of her could understand it too, even though she didn't particularly like the way he coddled her all the time and treated her like she was some fragile piece of glass. Furrowing her brows, Luxanna looked over at Tim and nodded. "Yeah... I know," she replied silently. "Doesn't make it right though..." she trailed off.
Her cheeks flushed further at his next words, but it didn't draw away the serious expression she carried. Her eyes dropped to the couch and she nodded slowly. "I just wished he wouldn't treat me like I'm some fragile piece of glass." She averted her gaze at that, turning her attention to the TV; she understood what Tim was trying to say, and she also understood what Jack was trying to do, but being put in a position like that when all you really wanted was to break out of your shell wasn't particularly... She didn't know. Sighing, her head shook. "I don't know."
Maybe it was foolish of her to hold it against Jack. He was trying his best. She knew that. He cared and she wanted nothing more than for him to continue doing so, but there had to be a limit, right? She couldn't let herself be babies for the rest of her life and still expect to grow from it, could she?

Tim waited, listened. He thought he got it, to some degree. He'd thought he'd gotten it during the whole truth or dare thread. Especially with the mention of being made of glass. "Yeah, I get it," Tim said, reaching up with the other hand to push his glasses up. "hence why I didn't go after people during the whole Truth or Dare crap. Well, Cade, sort of," Tim shrugged, "but, like, you need to grow and skin your knee or something too, I guess."
Tim paused, looking at the screen, watching the characters and sort of getting what was going on. It wasn't like he hadn't seen the film before, and he couldn't help but feel like the conversation was more important. Still, they'd opted to watch the movie instead of just sitting there talking, ergo they should at least...
"Oh c'mon!" Tim practically yelled at the movie. "It's obviously not the zombie's fault! buncah morons..." Tim shook his head.
Why yes, he was one of those people who had that wonderful tendency to---
Well, right now he was laughing at the movie in a semi-obnoxious manner, but give it a few moments (and a movie that Fate actually has seen) and he'd be up and talking again.

Luxanna nodded at that, but fell silent. She didn't really know if there was anything else to add to that; he got it. Was there really anything else she needed to hear? It was nice, having someone who actually got it, because Jack surely didn't. Sighing, her head shook as she turned her attention over to the TV again.
Sometimes, Luxanna wondered if she really acted in such a fragile way that made people want to protect her. She'd never asked for it - she knew that. She didn't always mind either, but was it so wrong of her to want time to grow and do what she wanted, without worrying about Jack beating people up?
It was OK to get hurt sometimes. You learned from that. Right?
Sighing, Luxanna leaned back in the couch and leaned her head back against Tim's shoulder. "Like the movie?" she asked as she peered up at him through her dark lashes. She offered him a meek smile.

Yes, he got it. Tim liked to think that he more or less got Lux by now. Came from studying someone and watching them for years and then finally managing to end up with her some how. He still couldn't quite believe he was this lucky. He kept expecting something to happen to screw everything up.
Lux's question drew him from his thoughts and he looked to her. "Huh? Yeah, it's pretty good," he said, nodding. "Though these people are stupid, which is probably the point," he laughed, giving Lux a slightly abashed look. 'Sorry, you know how I get with movies. can't help myself. They're made for us to yell at them. Especially when--oh come on!" Tim was waving at the screen again, rolling his eyes and nearly overreacting.
Because obviously he was still a nerd who liked watching movies and yelling at them, even if he was with his girlfriend and distracted by the fact that he was actually holding her close and cuddled with her.
