Devyn figured that Zoe had gotten the money from that little event by that stupid Tim guy. Yeah, she was pretty much done with that boy and just made sure to avoid him because if he said anything to her she could make no promises to hold back. At least the only good he did by Devyn was helping Zoe out, but at the same time he canceled that out because he helped Zoe out. So he was in the negatives, and now Devyn worked on pulling her mind out of those thoughts. “Well good that you got a camera out of it all.” Devyn said. It was all she could think up to say.

She was trying to at least show that she was not in all that bad of a mood, trying to just be a little playful but apparently her next tease was not met very well. Zoe didn’t scold her outright or say anything but there was that look in her eye and Zoe raised a finger. It was a small warning, but still a warning. Devyn looked away then, just submitting right away to avoid any conflict. How am I supposed to interact with her? Most of what I do is teasing, flirting, and just being playful. Other than that it’s just silence or me being a depressed kid. Devyn thought to herself as she messed with her keys and father’s ring a bit more.

Zoe was heading forward and Devyn did the same, looking at Zoe as she seemed to be trying to build up the view that they would see. Devyn was pretty sure she had already seen the back of the boat and it looked the same as the front. The only difference that Devyn was aware of was how the water moved behind the boat. Devyn opened her mouth to say something, but stopped since it was going to be another flirt/tease involving reenacting the Titanic scene at the end of the boat. “Think anyone will get mad if I drop something into the ocean?” Devyn asked, it was the only thing she felt was safe to ask.

Oh, Zoe knew full well that she was definitely overselling this. Still, she couldn't stop now that she'd started: just determinedly moving forward as if she wasn't about to show Devyn something that would result in a "that's nice." She heard the comment regarding the camera and was tempted to point out that she'd gotten clothing from it too. Though she figured that Devyn already knew as much, and that she'd say so if Zoe pointed it out.

So instead Zoe focused on moving forward, letting the silence hang in the air for a few moments. Devyn's question drew a response out of her though: "Well, um," she chewed at her inner cheek for a moment, "that depends on what you drop in, I suppose. But we're almost there."

Zoe gestured for Devyn to follow, heading all the way to the far back of the boat. There were a few people lingering about, but not all that many. most of the activities were located elsewhere, either inside the bowels of the boat or on the front or the sides. Only a few people who wanted to get away from the rest were likely to be around.

But Zoe knew that there was something you could only see from here: she'd found it herself, after all. So she gestured for Devyn to follow as she walked all the way to the railing at the back of the ship. She hesitated for a moment, then slid her slim form through the railings, pulling herself onto the other side.

Devyn did indeed know about how Zoe hand managed to get clothing as well. It was hard not to hear about something when it showed up on DL or that stupid Tim guy's blog. She was just happy that Zoe didn't bring it up and that they were moving forward. She herself had sold some of her stuff in order to get money to get Zoe some new clothing. It was along with a few other things Devyn had done the day she was going to tell Zoe that she loved her. In the end that all turned out to be a waste of time and effort but she could not go back and undo it. All she could do was trying and trade things back or give them to someone else.

The silence was fine, there was not much really to be said or more so Devyn was trying to play it safe as best as she could. She didn't really like them walking around and not saying anything for long, it made that awkward feeling creep up. So she asked about throwing something into the ocean, having an idea for a few pictures she still kept in her wallet. They were from the time at the arcade with Zoe and perhaps if she tossed them in the ocean there would not be the whole going back and putting them in her wallet again. Even now the photos were still in her wallet in her back pocket.

"Think paper-ish material would be fine?" Devyn asked. She figured it would be since the water would make it sort of breakdown and fall apart. Dev didn't stop following but she did increase the distance between them as they got closer towards the other end of the boat. There were fewer people here and Devyn was already thinking about how Zoe said that she wanted to be in public places when hanging out with her. This was Zoe's idea however, so perhaps this time it was fine but Devyn was still making sure it didn't look like she was up to anything.

"...careful." Devyn said with a small smile. She was going to say something else, another tease but just went for telling Zoe to be careful instead. The tease would have been along the lines of breaking rules and how it was odd to see Zoe doing something like this. Devyn kept that to herself however and waited for Zoe to be on the other side before she moved through the railing. Thank god I'm flexible. Devyn thought to herself as she slipped passed, looking to Zoe.

"Maybe?" Zoe said, unable to keep the doubt from her voice. Part of her just wanted to outright ask what Devyn had in mind. Was there something in particular she wanted to drop into the water? Like, a boat or something?

Well, she could ask after they got settled. For now, Zoe was more focused on holding onto the railing. She could feel the breeze on her face. The movement of the ship meant that a steady, salty breeze remained constant, ruffling their clothes and offering its cooling, salty touch all over them. Zoe could already feel the bits of salt connecting with her skin.

She closed her eyes, giving in to the sensations for a moment. Just a moment though: she knew that Devyn wouldn't be nearly as enthralled with just that. Zoe opened her eyes and looked over, glad to see that Devyn had followed. She nodded.

"Right, now," She altered her stance, gripping the railing with her hands and leaning over, "look down," and Zoe did just that, looking straight down. From their angle, they could see the churning waters of the sea below. The movement of the ship, the propulsion, it all showed the strongest here: the roiling waves and the pulsing waters kicking up more breeze and more sensation. "See!" Zoe called over it. She dared point with a hand, "You can't see that anywhere else on the ship!"

She smiled, feeling more of the salty spray on her face, momentarily losing herself in the sensation instead of her "mission."

The answer was not a yes, but it was also not a no. Devyn figured she would just have to decide on her own then since Zoe was unsure. She already had an idea of what she was going to do but she was still letting herself have the time to think about it. They had to first get to where Zoe wanted to be in order to show Dev this 'amazing' view. Devyn could not help but to feel a little nervous when Zoe moved on the other side of the railing, but did look like she had a good position that would minimize the risk of falling.

Devyn didn't want Zoe to fall, that would suck but of course she would not hesitate to help Zoe out if that did end up happening. Devyn made it to the other side with little difficulty and shifted her stance so she could have a good hold of the railing but still be able to have a free hand. Devyn's sensitive nose was picking up the same scents that it had been before, just a bit more of the salty sea smell and less of juice and Zoe. Dev had to remove her shades and tuck them into her jacket when Zoe said that they had to look down.

She didn't want to lose her only other pair of shades, even if it meant her eyes were going to be bothering her a little now that they were without their shaded protection. She leaned down then, having a good grip and looking at the view that Zoe had wanted her to see. It didn't really seem any level of impressive to what Devyn had seen without coming here, but it was still nice. "Heh, I suppose you have a point!" Devyn yelled back, having to speak up over the sound of the water below. Devyn took a deep breath, taking it all in, and smiling a little once she felt like she came upon a realization.

"Thanks for this, Zoe!" Devyn said, looking over to Zoe and giving her a smile before looking back down to the water for a moment. She then would sit back up, putting her shades on after she rubbed at her eyes a few times.

Zoe could hear Devyn yelling. She opened her eyes and turned to her friend, smiling broadly, her eyes dancing. She nodded again, then adjusted her arms, pulling herself back upright. Not that part of her didn't want to stay suspended: the whole experience was kind of unique and special, which had been what Zoe was trying to make clear, to share with Devyn. But Zoe also knew she couldn't hang for long: her arms weren't that strong and she also didn't want to accidentally anger anyone who worked aboard the ship.

So she pulled back, and could actually see some sailors approaching. Zoe reached over to tug at Devyn's shirt before pulling herself back in, moving back to the proper side of the ship. "There, um, people," she explained, flushing slightly. Exhilaration still showed in her eyes, and she brought her hand up to adjust some of her windswept hair.

Devyn felt like hanging out here for a little longer, or moving off somewhere else while hanging over the edge of the side of the boat. It stirred the side of her that loved to take a bit of a risk, love on the edge, and just break a few rules. She was still slightly impressed that Zoe had thought up and done such a thing but Zoe had changed. There was of course good and bad to that, but it didn't matter anymore. None of it mattered anymore. Devyn could not help but to chuckle a little as she thought of just letting go and falling into the sea.

She didn't do that however, she didn't actually want to this time. The feeling was just not there, which she figured at least that was the overall good thing from this little adventurer. "Don't feel like being bad with me for a little longer?" Devyn asked as she turned around. She still held onto the railing from on the other side, not moving to stop Zoe from going back on the right side of the boat. Devyn did spot the workers heading over towards them, but that didn't meant that they could not get away.

A small smirk spread across Devyn's lips for a moment before she moved to crawl back over to the proper side of the railing. It was not her place to try and push Zoe out of her shell a bit more, at least that was how Devyn felt. There didn't really even seem to be a shell or anything that Devyn felt like she could do for Zoe now. "You have a plan of escape or are you going to follow me?" Devyn asked as she already started to walk backwards away from Zoe. They were on the right side but that didn’t mean that they had avoided getting talked to.

Dev didn't want to have to deal with any kind of scolding so she was already moving to head off so that she could lose the workers that were coming over to them. She would only wait for a little bit for Zoe to pick if she was going to stick around, go off on her own, or follow her. No matter what Zoe picked, Devyn was moving off; using the skills she had picked up long ago when it came to getting away from people and avoiding trouble. If Zoe followed, she would end up with Devyn in a darker area of the ship, practically no people at all around. If she didn't, well Devyn had her hide out place either way.

Zoe flushed at Devyn's comment, again feeling like there was something naughty hiding just under the surface there. Rather than respond or rise to it, as she might have done in the past, she just let the presence of the incoming crewman speak for itself. Though Devyn's reaction to that was definitely not what Zoe had been hoping for or expecting.

"What?" she asked as Devyn mentioned escape, blinking. She turned to look. "They're probably just checking on us I--" when she turned back, she saw that Devyn had already started moving away. Letting out a sigh of frustration, Zoe followed, knowing that she was heading to a rather deserted section of the ship.

"Honestly Devyn," Zoe continued, the words somehow sounding incredibly British and proper coming from her. "They weren't going to do anything to us. They've," she flushed, pausing to chew at her cheek for a moment and look away. She could continue though, it wasn't like it was that bad, and Devyn would probably be impressed: "They've caught me doing it before. It's just a lecture and a reminder. They might have just even given us rather harsh looks and mayhaps waved a finger. Now they probably think we were doing something worse..."

Zoe looked back, seriously considering going to find them and explain the situation.

There was a small hint to something naughty there, but it was not fully planned out to come out like that. It was just practically impossible for certain things that Devyn said to not come off as either flirting or having some hidden meeting behind it. She was trying to behave, more so for the sake of Zoe not scolding her. Yet, at the same time with her realization she felt less inclined to try and wondered why she had to ‘play it safe’. Dev understood where Zoe stood and so long as she understood that she was not actually going to try anything.

Devyn was already gone as Zoe was saying something, probably about how they would not have to worry about getting into too much trouble. Devyn didn’t want to get in any form of trouble so was already moving off, leaving it to Zoe to make the call on what she wanted to do. Dev naturally went to a location where she could hide and there were less people around, a nice and dark location. That location being a lounge room of sorts that was closed due to a cracked pipe that had wet the carpet. Being able to see in practically no light, Devyn could easily see that the room was mainly just closed down for the carpet to dry, but the fans blowing just added to how awesome of a hiding spot the place was.

Zoe’s words had Devyn smirking all the more as she moved to sit down behind one of the couches in the room. She still loved how British Zoe sounded when she tended to say things in a disapproving or sort of ‘you’re unbelievable’ tone. “So you’re a bad girl, now?” Devyn asked, teasing a little as she made herself comfortable on the floor. Again leaving it to Zoe to decide what she wanted to do and fully understood that Zoe was probably not going to stick around long. “When someone tells you not to do something the first time, that is your warning. Now since you have done it again, you are likely to receive a harsher punishment so it would be wise to avoid getting caught by them.” Devyn pointed out.

She knew these things from experience of course. Then again Zoe looked so innocent and it would have been easy enough for her to just blame Devyn for it or something. “If you are that worried about it, you can go back out there now and explain to them you just could not help yourself and really just wanted to see the view.” Devyn suggested after sitting in silence for a small moment at Zoe’s last bit of words. Nothing was going to happen, because Zoe didn’t want anything to happen and that was that.

It actually surprised Zoe at how drastically their environment had changed. It seemed only a few moments before they had been hanging off the back of the ship, yet now they were in something of a lounge. Devyn naturally took no time in getting herself comfortable: lounging out on the couch and looking entirely at ease with the situation.

So at ease that she easily began teasing Zoe again. The poet flushed at the comment, knowing full well that Devyn didn't actually mean it. No, she wasn't a bad girl; Zoe likely didn't have it in her to even pretend to be a bad girl, let alone to actually go through with it. Though she did have to admit that Devyn did have something of a point.

"I don't think they cared that much," she argued halfheartedly, "and it's not as though we were really doing anything that wrong..."

She trailed off, wondering. Was it? It didn't feel like it. They certainly weren't hurting anyone or anything. She chewed her cheek as she considered, trying to figure out how to phrase it. Was she worried.

"Well, if it's not a big deal..." Zoe said, trailing off, she nodded and took a seat near Devyn though not on the same couch, "then there's no point in bothering them, right?" She nodded, then looked around. "I don't think I've been in here before..."

They had picked a good place to hide and then environment itself was one that Devyn felt at home in, so naturally she was making herself comfortable. She was not worried about getting caught now and if the door did open it was not that hard to just jump over the back of the couch to hide. It felt good to tease Zoe, not in a bad way but more of a ‘happy to just be herself for the most part’ good feeling. Plus seeing someone blush always just made Devyn feel good. Dev did thing that Zoe had it in her to be a ‘bad girl’ she would just need a little push and to be in the right situation.

Devyn could not test that; well she could since she pushed her friends to be better, but with the things that had happened to them and how things currently were she was not sure. Hell, she was even feeling that trying to be friends now felt odd but she still wanted to try. “Could be a matter of safety. Some people get really serious about that.” Devyn pointed out when Zoe seemed to think what they did was not that big of a deal. Devyn agreed that it was not a big deal but she felt that way about a lot of rules she broke.

She was surprised when Zoe ended up taking a seat near her, making it clear that she was not leaving yet. Devyn was not complaining about it but she was just not sure if it was smart for Zoe to remain around her in such a location. That and well…what could they talk about? Or was Zoe fine with silence when they were not cuddling or taking a nap together? “They have a ton of lounges on this ship. I think this is supposed to be like a VIP lounge or meeting area.” Devyn said, shrugging her shoulders. “I just know that a pipe burst here so it’s ‘closed’.” Devyn said, doing air quotes around the word closed.

“I didn’t break the pipe.” She added that last bit just to be safe, because she didn’t break the pipe and didn’t want people blaming it on her. She would guess that it was probably someone with a water related power was probably the cause of a busted pipe.

Zoe flushed as Devyn mentioned safety. She definitely should have thought about that. Well, she had thought about their safety, which is why she'd made certain to hold onto the railing in a manner that she knew wouldn't result in her going overboard. But suppose that they'd influenced someone who wasn't careful, or that something they'd done by going over had hurt the ship...

well, they were somewhere else now: no reason to worry about it. Though Zoe had a feeling that she was going to end up having a rambling discussion with Alice about this later, one that would likely involve her girlfriend laughing at her. Things were how they were: it did no good to sit there and continue mulling it over.

Instead Zoe had to wonder about lounges or meeting areas and how they'd just run from one place they weren't supposed to be to another. She was about to mention that when Devyn got defensive. Zoe's eyes narrowed a bit at that, and she almost looked offended. "I wouldn't think you did," she protested, nodding. "Your powers wouldn't result in your breaking pipes, and it doesn't seem like something you did just for fun. Though it is a little odd that you knew about this place..."

Zoe looked around as she trailed off. "you're sure we're allowed to be here?" she couldn't help but ask, as her gaze came back around to Devyn.

Devyn was not worried about her own safety or even Zoe's when it came to what they were doing that was breaking a rule. She was confident in her ability to keep herself safe or at least survive whatever damage could come to her body if the worse happened. As for Zoe, it may not have been her place anymore but she would still die for the girl if she needed to. Nothing physically bad would happen to Zoe when Devyn as around, but she could make no promises when it came to any possible emotional pain. It was all too late anyways and they were already out of harm’s way, in terms of falling into the ocean.

The only thing dangerous in here would be is the pipe broke again if Zoe started to walk around in the dimly lit room and ran into something and hurt herself. They were both sitting on separate couches so really things were as safe as they could be. Zoe's eyes were narrow at her which just had Devyn tilting her head a little to the side. She didn't get what she said that might have gotten Zoe upset, even when Zoe spoke up about not thinking that Devyn broke the pipe. "Just saying it to cover myself just in case." Devyn said, mainly referring to the bit that Zoe trailed off. People tended to assume someone had something to do with a matter if they knew about it.

"Not really sure actually. There are still those carpet drawers in here, the doors were closed, and it’s a bit dark in here so I figure that it’s still off limits." Devyn said as she shrugged her shoulders. She didn't know for sure if they were allowed in here or not, but she was assuming that they were not just to be safe. Not that it mattered since she was just using it for a hiding spot. Yet, the couch was pretty comfortable and taking a nap here would not have been so bad. "You don't have to stay if you are worried, Zoe. I'm not going to force you to stay and if you want to leave I'll even sneak you to wherever it is you want to go." Devyn offered. She was still unsure if it was okay for Zoe to be around her, especially in such a place.

Alice didn't have anything to worry about but she didn’t want Zoe to have to deal with people making whispers or murmurs about her. Zoe's life clearly had gotten a lot better when she stopped dealing with her, and Devyn didn't want to drag her back down.

Zoe frowned slightly as Devyn insisted on covering herself. Didn't she realize that she didn't need to? Yes, things have changed, but... well, maybe they'd changed too much, maybe Zoe didn't even realize just how much things had changed. Or did she?

Even now, Devyn still made Zoe's head spin and made it difficult for her to figure things out. She couldn't help but be glad that at least she'd put some distance between them. Devyn explained; Zoe half-listened, at least catching that there wasn't anything they really should be worried about, that the place had been abandoned or something along those lines, and an offer to leave.

"no, I'm fine, really," Zoe insisted, shaking her head. "I was just... I just wanted to make sure that we weren't going to get in more trouble, that's all," Zoe shifted again, then stood up, looking around. She walked about, running her hands over the various bits of furniture, wondering how a ship could even afford to abandon a room like this. The ship was big, she supposed, and rather wealthy. Still, it felt so strange to be here. It almost made Zoe wish she had her camera...

Devyn didn't really know what was going through Zoe's mind; she never really did unless she had been flirting with the girl and got those bits of broken words. She didn't really know what was going through anyone mind but her own and thus she just went with guesses. Like right now she guess that Zoe was still playing it safe; the keeping away from her, was clearly a part of that. Still, she didn't know why Zoe was keeping her distance when there was no around. It was probably for the best at any rate because even know Devyn still felt like going on the hunt.

To follow the little mouse around and pounce when the moment was right and have some little fun. She could not do that however, well she could but she should not. Zoe had a girlfriend; Alice, that Devyn was pretty sure that Zoe was in love with. She wanted Zoe to be happy and Zoe had seemed happier then she had been in a long time, with no drama other then what DL spoke up which of course involved Devyn. Perhaps it was best if Devyn didn't even try to be in Zoe's life, to keep out 'the curse' that Devyn was still pretty sure that she had on her.

"Well...I'll take the blame if it comes to that. You probably just only need to wait a few more minutes before the cost is clear and you can leave." Devyn said, already moving to make herself as comfortable on the couch. She wanted to get so comfortable that even the desire within her would not be strong enough for her to want to get up. She was at least happy she could remove her shades and look around the room without her eyes bothering her. "Soooo...uh...hmmm...I got nothing." Devyn said, after trying to think up something they could converse about. Nothing seemed like it would be a 'safe' or 'smart' thing to talk about, so perhaps silence was for the best.
