"Well maybe I can bribe one of the science majors to make me some fireworks. They probably wouldn't mind risking trouble for the right price after all." Ryan shrugged.
"The lengths I go to for art, I tell you." She shook her head with a sigh.
"And Nico, despite the neat name, does not have any glitter in his soul whatsoever. When you meet him, expect to be judged. Harshly. No glitter, I tell you. None."

Frank tilted her head to the side, tapping her finger a few times, her brow furrowed. "I think there are some that would totes do that. You should look up Tim Tawfeek and his crew. Uhhh, I wanna say, like, Erin Hackett and, like, a Kar or something? They set up the sound system for Erika's totally awesome party that one time and are, like, super good at this."
Frank nodded a few more times, then let out a slight giggle at the thought of going through stuff for art. It just sounded like the sort of thing that a real artsy person would say, and the thought of hearing it from someone who looked as wild as Ryan, particularly someone still covered in glitter, just made Frank giggle.
She was about to stay something about Nico and being judged, but she heard the door jiggling. "Dive for it!" Frank yelled, grabbing at Ryan in an attempt to tackle her down to the floor. Because obviously being seen in the teacher's lounge would be bad enough, let alone with all the glitter that lay all about them.

Frank diving and tackling her to save her from trouble kind of touched Ryan to be honest. Someone wanting to keep her out of trouble? That was a really nice thought. Ryan chuckled.
"Yeah and talking about fireworks making probably wouldn't help our case, eh?" She whispered the words. Who was coming in?
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on May 2, 2015 23:01:55 GMT -6
Frank heard the whispers, and she let out a "shh" that was about three times as loud. There was still a fair amount of glitter around, which kind of almost immediately gave away who they were and what they'd just done. That didn't stop Frank from edging forward and peering around. Ah, there was someone.
"Oooh, Adler," she hissed, flinching and pulling back, "she's kinda strict," Frank whispered. She pursed her lips, eyes narrowing as she tried to figure out a way out of here. "We might stand a chance if we sorta..." she started wiggling her way in the direction opposite of where she knew Adler stood. The trainer was already sighing and examining the glitter, which prove to be something of a distraction.
"And maybe a distraction?" Frank thought aloud. She paused in the crawling, her head tilting as she tried to figure out the best way of doing that. "If only I had my cannon..."

Frank identified the teacher and then started...wiggling? Presumably she had a plan. But Ryan honestly wasn't sure with this girl whether 'plan' meant split second judgment or something that might actually work. Well the first one might work too. Ryan reflected that Frank seemed to be the sort to have practice in the split second judgment department. She sighed.
"Heavens, I've got a distraction. Your plan had better work, Frank." With that, she closed her eyes and used her metal detection radar to span throughout the room. While she was doing this, she wouldn't be able to register things in the rest of the room very well, but it needed to be done. She found the screws on the legs of the fridge and let her radar recede to the back of her mind where it normally ran. Then she used her metal manipulation to unscrew the screw. The fridge reacted immediately with a big thump.

Oh, was Ryan ever about to find out what Frank meant when she said "I have a plan." As Frank never thought more than about five minutes ahead when it came to these sort of things, her "plans" generally involved something bright, shiny, explosive, and/or loud. The best ones usually involved all at the same time, and quite possibly Dr. Who, because all the good ones did.
"ooo, distraction!" Frank said in a rather loud whisper that was likely drawing the teacher's attention right now. Frank sort of bounced in place a few times, her hand going down to drift toward Ryan. The moment she heard the "thump..."
"ESCAPE PLAN BETA!" she screamed, before pulling Ryan upright and, hopefully through sheer momentum, barreling toward the exit at top speed, all while flinging a handful of glitter behind her: "GLITTER SMOKESCREEN, GO!"

And Frank's plan was to run out of the room throwing glitter. Her shoulders slumped as she ran with Frank out the door. Then she stopped a few feet away and took a defensive stance before using her metal manipulation to close the door with the hinges. Then she bent the hinge pins. That should slow them down a bit. And yes, she was totally hoping that wouldn't incriminate her by being the only one with metal manipulation powers.
"Is there anyone else at Bellefonte who controls metal?"

Frank's "plan" definitely involved getting the heck out of that room, that was for darn sure. Frank was already half-jerking Ryan around, and was surprised when the other girl paused and took a stance. The surprised ended with a near sit-com level bit where Frank's arm got jerked and she nearly landed on the floor. It took her several seconds of sort of teetering to balance herself.
Then she was left blinking and looking at Ryan. "Oh, yeah, there's, like, gotta be, right?" Frank said, adding a little shrug. "It's not like you transform into wombats or something, though that would be an awesome ability..." Frank trailed off, looking at the door. She pointed. "That's kinda extreme, don't you think? And she's, like, a panther shifter..." the door rumbled.
"Rightwe'dbettergonow!" Frank blurted before grabbing Ryan and making another mad dash, desperate to get as far away from the door as possible.

"Oh greeeaaat. You're not sure, so I might've just incriminated myself. And after I promised myself Bellefonte would be a new start after I got in trouble for yanking those two losers' tooth fillings." She sighed, running with Frank.
"Other than running, do you EVER have a better plan?"
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on May 9, 2015 15:05:12 GMT -6
Frank shrugged. "Well, it all depends on if they, like, saw you or care or---" the door rumbled and there was the running with Frank screaming and giggling at the top of her lungs. At some point she turned the noise into the patented warrior cry of her favorite warrior princess (not to be confused with pony princesses, who instead sing songs and give lectures on friendship).
There were some words that Frank sort of heard over herself. She turned to grin at Ryan. "I always have good plans!" Frank said. She giggled again. "I totes had a good plan involving rocket skates and trap doors and stuff but I don't think I ever actually did it so it's time for runnnnninnng!"
And Frank bounded forward a little quicker. It was less running though and more a sort of gallop mixed with a skip mixed with something that somehow caused her to propel forward in an ungainly way that caused bits to just sort of fly everywhere.

"Damn girl someone needs to teach you how to run. We're never going to be able to get out of here in time. I could get us out of here faster DRAGGING YOU! HUSTLE YOUR BUTT!" Ryan rolled her eyes and tried to pull Frank along a little at least. She needed to get out of there before the teacher actually came through the door because that would SUCK.
"Comeoncomeoncomeon this was my new start and I do not want to have to go to the office ALREADY!"
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on May 10, 2015 20:59:52 GMT -6
"I know how to run, silly!" Frank insisted. She almost immediately shifted, hardly needing the tug from Ryan. In just a few steps Frank was upright and moving along like a semi-normal human being. She even held her hands out wide, fingers spread to indicate that she was just fine at running. As if to show off, she turned and ran backward.
"But just running is boring!" she nearly whined. "And it's not like there's a rush. The door's, like, not coming open any time soon. And we just got to get far enough away to not look suspicious and ---whoops!" and Frank was tripping over her own feet. She managed to twist in such a way that she rolled forward, giggling all the way as she barreled along.
"Just," she said while she turned, "just head that way!" she pointed, though her hand kept moving, what with the whole spinning and moving and everything.

"Who snuck YOU vodka?" Ryan rolled her eyes again and sighed. Despite all the trouble though, she did like this girl. She seemed fun. Like someone Ryan might be friends with.
"That door could come loose at any time. I wasn't able to bend the hinge pins THAT much." To prove her point, the door rattled ominously.
Post by Frank "Sunny" Laffont on May 13, 2015 21:39:21 GMT -6
Frank giggled and bobbed her head a bit at the mention of vodka. "Axxxxxe u luh ly," she said, purposefully dragging out each syllable, "I can't get drunk. It's a fun side effect of my power. Well, I could, but, like, it would take a lot, and I'd probably get, like, alcohol poisoning or something."
More noises happened behind them, and Frank did sort of notice them in a sort of absent way, like how you noticed that birds were chirping outside or something along those lines. The door rattled and Ryan got insistent and Frank rolled her eyes.
"Fiiine, but like I said, we just gots to get with peeps," Frank said. She gave the ground two sort of scraping steps, sort of like she were a chicken or bull or something, and then tore down the hallway at a pretty decent speed. Though of course she had to giggle and scream rather loudly as she went. Because that was fun, obviously.

Ryan watched with disbelief as she watched Frank take off like a bull. Screaming. Because that wasn't obvious. She rolled her eyes and gave up. She just shoved her hands in the pockets of her jeans and speed walked after her new friend.
"Great. So I can't blame your inadequacy of planning on alcohol. Wonderful."
