Frank glared at him, raising a hand to point. "It is so a thing! They totally haven't proven that it's not a thing. C'mon, you're at a school filled with people who do all sorts of weird things like eat stuff and teleport, and you think that magic's not a thing. Pff," She rolled her eyes, ready to turn away. She did catch his last movement though, seeming to gesture.
"That doesn't do magic," said Frank, nodding, "at least not the kind I'm talking about," she flashed a smile before practically bouncing over to the various cabinets. Supposedly the uniforms were in one or to other of these. So that just meant trying each and every one until something moved, because obviously something would. Frank began by tapping them though, rapping her knuckles against one with her ear close, nodding, and moving on to the next.
"You can help y'know!" she called, waving. "Though you totes gotta call me over if you find them: this is my thing after all."

The fact she took his obscene gesture in stride impressed him. When she urged him to help, she shrugged.
"I am helping. I put them neatly in a drawer and told you three times that they were there. As for the whole magic thing...mutations are always scientifically explainable in some way. Unfortunately. It would be fun to have magic. Like a guy turning someone else into bubbles, or something just as equally silly."

Frank stuck her tongue out at Cade as he insisted on being a pain in the but about things. He just kept going with his stupid science and stuff too. "You're gonna ruin all the magic and surprise!" she said, before moving back over to the cabinets. There were only so many, so she didn't think it would take all that long to start looking.
And since tapping them was kinda boring, Frank instead opted to start opening them. she got one open and was immediately distracted by the various colored paper she found within, which she had to coo with and start playing with. Frank was tempted to make a fortune teller with one. She could so remember playing with one with the cheerleaders before and...
oh, right! Frank rolled her eyes. "So forgot," she said to the room in general before moving to start opening the next cabinet.

Cade laughed as Frank almost got sidetracked again by the colourful paper. He walked up beside her and smiled.
"I forget exactly which drawer it is. I think I fell asleep soon afterwards and that doesn't usually help me remember very well. But it doesn't really matter because it seems to me you're having just as much fun looking really. And I'm kind of glad you got saddled with this chore because otherwise I might not have met you. I haven't exactly had too many conversations." Even though he'd been attending since he was fifteen, he hadn't really had any friends. It was kind of nice to talk with someone who was friendly.

"Booo!" Frank said as Cade spoke, turning and waving. "That's totally sucking! Though it's not that bad, I guess. The looking part anyway. The whole not meeting people thing happens sometimes. Sometimes you go for years or months or weeks or something without really noticing someone's there and bam!" she clapped her hands together, "Suddenly they're important and you can't help but notice them." Frank nodded, then turned and closed the drawer, though she left some of the colored paper out for later.
"And we so would've run into each other eventually. I'm, like, everywhere," she rolled her eyes and snorted a laugh. "It's kinda what I do and junk aaaaand ta-da---nooope," Frank tilted her head in, coming up with what appeared to be several files. "These seem to be records or something." She looked for a few seconds, before tossing them over her shoulder. "Boring."

"You know, someone might just get upset at their files being jumbled..." But that was beside the point. Cade totally went over and picked them up.
"You're not the least bit curious about what these files say? They could be some hidden secret about you. Or me. Or...anyone really. They could even say there was a secret graveyard underneath the academy. It's all a possibility with these things. The top secret files, kept near the cheerleading uniforms because no snoop would ever think to look there!"

"Nah, if they really cared about them, they would keep them in a locked drawer," Frank pointed out. She nodded. "Plus, everyone knows that they keep all the secret files in the Headmistress office or the basement or in both places at once under special coding and stuff. It's top secret though."
Frank raised a finger up to her lips to do a quick shh before moving back to the cabinets, bounding through each of them. She threw open another, sending some party supplies flying. Frank let out a little squeak of happiness and pocketed a few, which meant that she was leaking streamers and sparkly bits as she opened another.
Then Frank leaned down, feeling around and pulling out a little note. "Cheerleader uniforms have been moved to the locker room. This was a bad place for them." She said. Frank waited a bit. She blinked. Then she looked at Cade. "Well, I guess that answers that, huh?" she shoved the cabinet shut and shrugged.

"Now who's ruining magic and imagination? We could have entertained a James Bond kind of spy fantasy, and you just ripped it all away from me." He contorted his face into a mock sob.
"If those places are top secret, why do you know about them?" Was it just because they expected her to forget things because she was so hyperactive? Or was it really just common knowledge he'd missed out on? Cade wasn't sure. When she found the note, he sighed.
"Typical. I organize something nicely for once, and people don't like how I clean up either."

"James Bond is so not magic," Frank insisted, sticking her tongue out. "Plus, I just pointed out the best places to look, so if you are gonna go all spy, you should totes do it there," Frank nodded again, before closing another drawer. "Well, some of them people just kinda know about. And I am, like, best friends with one of the Bellefontes. And the other twin knows my name. And my bffle is Ellen Banks. And I kinda got kidnapped. I don't know if that really has anything to do with it, but I Kinda like putting in there."
Frank tapped the cabinet again, then shrugged. "Don't worry, I'm sure they just wanted them moved or something. People are weird like that." Frank tapped the cabinet again, rapping out a few quick tunes. Then she felt her stomach growling and nodded.
"Yep, that's my tummy telling me it's totes meal time!" she began bounding toward the door, pausing as she got to the entrance. "Thanks for helping though! That was awesome!"

"James Bond isn't magic. Just totally badass." So she knew the Bellefonte twins and was friends with that Ellen Banks. Interesting how people's personalities sometimes meshed. When she bounded off, he smiled.
"Good to meet you, Frank. I'll probably see you around sometime." He waved and then looked around. And collapsed, sleeping, in a pile of boxes.
Talking so much and seeing so much energy nearby had made him feel kind of exhausted. He needed a nap.
