Frank bobbed. "You just gotta wait for them to cool," she paused a moment, "and maybe for the icing, unless you really want one," Frank grabbed one off the tray, dancing and tossing it from hand to hand, letting out little squeaks and squeals as did, before popping it into her mouth. She let out a pleased noise and began consuming it with the practice of someone who could have gone into professional eating.
Somehow, Frank even managed to keep from spraying crumbs onto the icing or sprinkle bits. "It's both!" she said, swallowing the cookie and nodding. "Like, the cookie fumes make you get all spinny in the headspace and then you're all like into the whole sprinkling thing which makes you want to smell more cookie and it's all one big circle!" Frank leaned over and swirled some icing with a stick, humming as she did, before flourishing.
Then, Frank nodded and leaned down, scooping up a cookie with a spatula to hold out to Ellen. "Yours!" she chimed, beaming. "Made and decorated and everything," Frank leaned in, "you gotta try at least one from the batch: make sure they're good and all."

Well, at this point, Frank had succeeded in the impossible. Ellen was now nicely softened up her hardness and general snark all but melted away. Which as you can imagine is no small feat but such was the effect that Frank Cox always seemed to have on Frank Cox. After all awhile ago Ellen had tried to run away from this cooking now Ellen was laughing andh aving quite a enjoyable time. Something she couldn’t have predicted in her wildest dreams.
Ellen tutted a little once Frank was good enough to mention that she might be feeling the way was because she was breathing in some “Cookie fumes” Frank was joking …Right? Were the fumes making her light headed and dizzy? “Riiiiight…just in case, if I start acting loopy or I pass out can you at least call the nurse for me? Death by Cookie fumes is not a very dignified way to go.. Ellen examined the cookie for a moment as if unsure what should be done with it before taking an experimental bite out of it her eyes actually lighting up as she did so “You know surprisingly this isn’t half bad, Are you sure we can’t just keep them for ourselves?”

"Wouldn't be the first time I've been in for cookie fumes," said Frank, nodding solemnly. "It's a serious problem. they're getting research grants and everything."
She'd actually just heard that term used on a television show the other day and had been pretty well been itching: she wasn't even certain that she really used it correctly, though just saying it gave her some happiness. Much like saying kumquat was guaranteed to make you feel slightly amused (you can do it now; it's okay).
Frank giggled as Ellen spoke after her bite, bobbing her head. "Well, we're gonna keep, like, a lotta them. I totally know how to make this stuff, right? I gotta or else I wouldn't get to eat as much as I wanted and that would suuuuck." Frank nodded, then heard another ringing noise. That had her spinning and working to get another tray extracted out of the oven and another in.
"But this is too many cookies even for us. Like, we can only eat a couple dozen, and I made, like," she looked around for a moment, "a lot more than that," she said after a few moments. Because who needed numbers, really?

“Oh well, isn’t that comforting?” Ellen snapped quite sarcastically indeed. “Well, I’ll be sure to draw comfort from that when I’m taking my dying breath” She muttered still not totally sure if Frank was just being Frank or not.
Yes, maybe Ellen ws being a tab ambitious believing that they could eat every single cookie on offer. Hell Frank had made enough for Ellen and Frank to open up a small cookie chain store. Ellen didn’t mention this theory to Frank, given how unpredictable she was she might fall in love with the idea and use her family’s considerable funds to open up said stores and naturally force Ellen to join up with her venture. Because heaven forbid Ellen had even a moment free from this odd relationship with Frank
“Oh, shoot” Ellen muttered as she checked her watch. “I have to go Frank” Had Ellen really had spent as long as she did here? God, it only felt like a few moments. How did that turn into it hours? She tutted to herself “Feel free to finish up without me” Before she went to the door about to leave…
…But stopped herself.
An idea just occurred to herself; An idea that was the height of insanity, and something that she most assuredly didn’t want to do but yet she couldn’t shake it and soon she found herself slowly turning towards Frank her expression one of conflict as if there was a battle raging within her. “Frank…”
Stop. Stop right there.
“Seeing as you don’t have any plans for Christmas..”
Please. Don’t. why are you about to ask this?!
“Maybe you..-I don’t know- want to swing by my house? If you have nothing better to do..Or whatever”
Well. It’s official. You’ve lost your mind Ellen Banks

Frank just nodded, simply taking what Ellen had to say in stride, as she pretty much did every time Ellen opened her mouth any more. Frank supposed she could try and think about everything Ellen said, but something told her that she might not like the results, so she just figured that she'd keep going like this: It was working.
"Aww," Frank said as Ellen said she had to go. Frank leaned over to look, seeing the time herself. That caused her to nod. "Yeah, you probably should," Frank grinned, leaning over to nudge Ellen with her hip, "but don't worry: I totes got this, yo," Frank then whirled and somehow managed to come up with a completely decorated cookie. She held this up for Ellen to see before sliding it with the next. Sometimes it was best not to consider how Frank did things.
The girl went back into being a blur of motion that somehow produced cookies. However, when Ellen spoke, Frank jerked, looking over at her friend. "Yes best buddy?" Frank asked, tilting her head to the side. "Well, I don't know if I don't have plans," Frank said in the moment of silence. Soon she was brightening, letting out a squeal and hopping up and down.
"Oh, oh, oh, oh! I'll so be there! and we can exchange presents and cookies and it'll be awesome!" Frank clapped her hands together rapidly and moved to hug Ellen. She just got to touching the other girl when a buzzer went off. "Buzzer!" Frank chirped before spinning toward the cookies. "I'll so be there, ELlen! It'll be totes awesome! You'll see!"
