Devyn green eyes remained on Tamara for a moment while the woman spoke about how in the end it was her choice but to not be rash about it. It was hard to not be rash about something that involved pain and your flight or fight instinct kicked in. If you placed your hand on a stove and it hurt, you removed your hand. If you were in a location that brought you different forms of pain, then it was foolish to not get out of the situation. That was what Devyn was sticking by but she did still understand; sort of, what the older woman was saying.
Obviously Tamara had to have some sort of experience about the matter by the way she was talking about it. The main thing Devyn was struggling with was, if she would want to come back? Other than the few people she cared about she didn't really see the point in staying. Still, she was going to take Tamara's advice and think about it. Perhaps she could just stay until Spring Break or when she would graduate from high school. Then she could transfer to another mutant school for her college experience.
Even if she didn't really want to go to college, she still didn't know what she wanted to do with her life and college would provide her with that time to figure it out. "Yeah, I think I'll do just that." Devyn said as she stood up when Tamara looked ready to go. She would follow the older woman back to her car, slide in, and more than likely be silent the rest of the ride. She of course would thank Tamara once more for taking her out, but other than that she had nothing more to say so would head back to her room to try and sleep. When it was more than likely she would lay there wide awake and stuck with trying to figure out what she should do.
