Lydia was doing her absolute best to make the other girl want to stay. She wished she had tried to socialise more since she had come to Bellefonte, she was out of practice at properly hanging out with others. This sucked. She really did enjoy the other girl's company greatly, she wasn't trying to be picky or anything or make the other girl do anything she didn't want to. Quite the contrary, she wanted the other girl to be comfortable with what they did which is why she suggested Erin chose.
"N-no you're not." She took a gentle breath and steadied herself. I took her a second to process Erin's last few words, putting them onto a monitor in her mind. "You're not lame, you are awesome. I'm sorry I made you feel awkward. I didn't mean to, and it's not that I didn't know what to play or whatever, I just..." Her cheeks felt a little hot.
She continued. "I really don't mind what we play, Little big planet karting sounds fun." She paused for a second, choosing her next few words carefully. "You are awesome and cool and make me want to break out of the shell I've put myself in... I just don't really know how to act around girls that I-" She froze for a second and blushed, then cleared her throat. "Y-you can leave if you feel too uncomfortable around me, but if you want to stay. We can play Little big planet Kart and listen to some music." She smiled gently.

Lydia said that she was not, but Erin didn't believe her and didn't buy it. The girl was just trying to be nice to her. She was honestly super lame and could do nothing about it, not at the moment anyways, not until she built up some more confidence. Now that there was distance between the two of them she did feel herself relaxing a little bit more. She was still on edge however, still thinking that it would probably be best to just use her power to hide, and then sneak out the door. Yet it would not really be sneaking since opening the door would give away that she was in fact leaving.
"You don't even know me..." Erin muttered under hear breath at the other girls praise to her. She didn't mean to say it like she was angry with the girl or anything, but she didn't feel like Lydia knew her well enough to say that she was awesome. Erin knew about Lydia, she looked the girl up so felt that she had a little more right to say things like the girl was awesome, talented, and beautiful. She could see that Lydia was flushing and looking like there was a lot on her mind as well on this whole exchange.
Perhaps it would be best to scarp the whole idea and try again, when they were both not blushing and feeling awkward. Even if Erin didn't really understand why Lydia would be awkward at all. "Well...I'm happy that you want to be uh...not shy." Erin said with a smile, honestly happy that she inspired that kind of feeling in someone. She wishes that she could get better and break out of her shell, particularly around girls. Erin started to play with the end of her shirt, looking at the other girl as she seemed to be working through something. Ending up with saying that Erin could leave if she wanted or they could play the game. "Tell me...tell me what you want to do." Erin said, looking down.
She didn't want the choice to be hers; if it was hers then she was going to leave. If the girl wanted her to stay then she was going to have to say it. If not, well then Erin was going to leave and work on her people skills a bit more and try again another time. That would not be a bad thing; perhaps trying another time would do them well, Erin didn't know.

Lydia felt a sting in the back of her mind when she just barely heard what Erin muttered under her breath. That was right, she didn't really know Erin that well. She had only known her for a little while, and while she did find Erin to be very attractive and alluring, and interesting in her abilities with a computer, and her taste in video games. She really didn't know a huge amount about her.
She did crack a small smile when Erin said that she was glad to help Lydia feel less Shy. She really didn't seem to be understanding what Lydia meant by what she said, but that was fine. This was about as forward as Lydia felt she could be with another person right now. She took a gentle breath in as Erin seemed to want Lydia to decide.
"I might not know you very well, but I do know this. You make me smile, among awkwardness. I would like to get to know you better, and I would love it if we could sit down and play some video games together, be it messing around in little big planet, or thrashing you at any racing game~" She winked. It was a very brave move on her part.

Erin did feel a little bad when Lydia pointed out that she didn’t know her very well. That had either meant she heard what Erin muttered under her breath or just knew it already. Either way, Lydia seemed fine with it and pointed out what she did know. Erin apparently made her smile even with the awkwardness. That made her feel good, really good, and a blush returned to her face as she tried to look away and look all cool. She was farther away from Lydia so she felt a bit bolder and hearing the words from the other girl boosted her confidence.
“Then, I would very much like to join you.” Erin said, really blushing at the wink. She winked at me! She damn well winked at me! Score! She totes likes me, I’m so L33t, and damn if I’m not on digital nine. Erin thought to herself. She was practically off in her own word for a moment or two before she remembered they had a game to play. After taking a deep breath she moved to help Lydia set up the game, grabbing a seat on the floor as she held onto the controller. Once Lydia had the game started up she would start to play it.
She would not say much, but she would chuckle here and there when certain things were done and she was certainly smiling the whole time. Even when she died. It was fun, a lot of fun. It was still really weird to be playing a video game with a girl in her room, but that soon got pushed to the back of Erin’s mind as they played. She didn’t even know how long they had been playing, but her phone buzzed in her pocket. Checking the message from her father she realized the time and recalled that she had other engagements. “Wow, we have been playing for a while. That was…really fun.” Erin said as she looked over to Lydia. As she looked over to her she realized how close they were and lost some of her confidence once more.
((I just went with like a sort of time skip of them playing the game since my mind was not in little big planet mode. I hope that is okay))

Lydia felt a large wave of relief as the Erin seemed to calm down, she felt awkward on the inside, but she had actually managed to perform a playful wink aimed at a girl she liked. It was the same kind of feeling she got from landing triple 60 on a dart board when she was out with her family, back before she found out she was a mutant and moved to the academy.
Lydia instantly felt more into her element as soon as they both had their hands on the controllers, she got more competitive and confident. It was a good feeling, like they stopped being awkward teenagers and started being a pair of gamers, talented gamers if Lydia's view of the two of them was to be believed.
She grinned happily throughout the entire thing, become more vocal and energetic, showing off some of the energy that constantly bounded through her. She completely and utterly lost track of time, and felt kind of frustrated when she heard Erin's phone buzz. She hadn't realised they had spent that much time hanging out and playing together.
When she turned to Erin as the other girl spoke, she realised how close they were sitting together, she was half surprised that she hadn't actually given Erin a jolt if they were this close, though quite happy that she hadn't. She blushed lightly and looked into Erin's adorable eyes, locking her gaze for a few moments before lowering it and nodding, her hair falling down to cover the forming blush.
"Yeah! It was. I'm glad we decided to hang out and game together. You're pretty good." She giggled and looked up, feeling a little bit of confidence returning, and her blush leaving her face. "Even if I'm still better~" She smiled.

Erin was kind of shocked that she didn't end up getting shocked by Lydia's power either, but they were not touching one another or anything. Just sitting pretty close, but still enough space between them that say a ferret or a cat could sit between the two of them. She was happy that Lydia's powers also didn't end up affecting their game either. It would have sucked it she short circuited the game console while they were playing and made it so they could not have played anymore. Even if part of Erin thought it would have been cool if that happened. She would also try to fix it because that was sort of her thing. There was only so much you could do for something that was fried.
Lydia was looking into her eyes and Erin felt like she was about to explode like some kind of overheating computer. She knew her face was red and it was not that hard to tell that Olivia was blushing as well. Sure her hair was slightly in the way, but Erin was pretty confident that she had saw blush on the other girl's face. I'm so cool! Erin thought to herself, even doing a mental hive five to herself. The awkward feeling was already starting to come back, but Erin did her best to not go running off right away. She was however getting ready to go, still needing to do a couple of things, and sadly could not spend the day away playing video games with a pretty girl.
"I know, you are not so bad yourself." Erin responded back, that cocky side of her slipping out at the complement at being pretty good. She knew she was pretty good and while hearing a pretty girl say it to her face made her feel all fuzzy inside, she still knew it as a basic fact. Erin did laugh at Lydia's words about how she was still better. That was funny. "Suuuuuure you are. We are going to have to meet up again so I can show you who the best is." Erin said, being bold enough to give a wink. After the wink however she was quickly stepping out of Lydia's bedroom and into the common area of her dorm room.
"So, I should get going and...yeah, we should do this again with less uh...confusion." Erin said, confidence almost completely gone as she hesitated as she spoke and looked away from the other girl.

Lydia hadn't even noticed the other girl's shared embarrassment, she had simply been too engrossed with hiding her own. She sometimes questioned why she hid it so much. Why couldn't she just be one of those brave people who didn't hide how they felt? She was perfectly confident in almost every single social situation that was not this one.
Heck, when she first met Erin she was way more in control than she was now. Erin's compliment, cocky compliment at that, shook Lydia out of her temporary daze. She chuckled softly. One of the things that she really enjoyed about gaming and computing was the level of competition that was around her. Lydia might not seem like it at first glance, but she loved adrenaline and competition, and feeling like she was the best. She cocked an eyebrow, grinning. "Yeah, we'll see."
The blonde nodded intently, fighting back the awkward with her willpower, making sure that she could at least say good bye to her guest like a normal person. She walked her out of the dorm and would lock the door behind Erin. "Yes, we should. Or we can do something else. I don't mind what we do, but you're right, planning. We should plan. Okayyyyy~ I'll see you soon... Talk to you soon, uh... Yeah, like.. Bye!"
