IT'S TOTALLY NOT STALKING IF HE WANTS IT

Lily gave an amused laugh at that. Never mind that her mimicry was adorable, her power itself was also great. It also wasn't a surprise, somehow. It simply seemed to fit, and that observation only made him laugh harder. Of course it had to be something to do with her non-stop mouth. "That amazing," he enthused breathlessly, a teasing glint in his eye. "And you don't mind sharing it with a lowly human like myself?" Of course even if she did it was too late now, and he probably wouldn't have cared either way.

He was definitely made more embarrassed by Frank's surprise. Clearly she hadn't been expecting him to actually do it, which probably meant she was only joking. If it hadn't been for her complaints half-way he definitely would have stopped, and as it was the shirt in his hand was already wrinkling under his clenched fist. Even if she was disappointed - which was unavoidable- he was in every way too stubborn to do anything to alleviate that disappointment. It was her fault, let her deal with it.

So obviously, it was a surprise when Frank spoke, and instead of landing her first blow, said something he'd never heard before. It wasn't in any way romantic or emotional, it was Frank, pure and simple. Amazing how he knew what that meant after only meeting for a few moments. The breath rushed out of Lily, leaving his mouth working wordlessly in surprise. Pretty? She had to be shitting him. Maybe she just hadn't been looking in the mirror often enough, if it was his face she gave the word to.

Getting up on his knees he braced his hands on the desk and fixed her with a disappointed frown. "You don't have to lie to me. I know what I look like." Unfortunately it tossed the idea of 'sexy scars' out the window, which was something he had hoped for while recovering in the hospital.

"Pfft,' said Frank, waving a hand, "I'm a human too, just one that eats a lot and can't shut up."

Then came the staring and the word that just popped to her mind, because nothing came to Frank's mind without exiting through the mouth a few moments sooner. She did keep staring because c'mon, it wasn't often that she effectively found herself having somehow fallen into her fantasy world. Usually she had to lift reality up to her viewpoint instead, so this was definitely a nice change. not so much the frown.

"What? Why are--" she began, before looking at him. She rolled her eyes again. "Uh, please, you are, like, super pretty. Okay, yeah, you got a few scars and stuff, but, like," she lifted up her own shirt, pulled down her skirt enough to show a small, puckered scar, "I got one too, and I'm still," she released her clothes, "like the princess of pretty. And I am ruling that you, my good sir, are most definitely pretty. Why do you think I was all like 'oh, whoa as me, if only someone would heeeleeep,'" because Frank was then realizing that she was very close to revealing her ruse, so she fidgeted for a moment, "was all like super happy to see you and stuff! Plus, like, trust me on this, like, we can't stop talking about how super hot you are. Not that I can't stop talking period, and it's totally not because I'm nervous because you're super pretty and have your shirt off I just really don't seem to know how to stop talking but I can totally do it now, see?" and she stopped, reaching up and zipping her lip shut before grinning.

It lasted a few seconds before she quickly said: "You really are super pretty though. And kinda funny." Then realizing that she was supposed to be doing the shutting up now, Frank reached up and zipped her lip again.

"Don't be silly, you're special," Lily retaliated with a snort. "Besides, the talking is adorable."

Despite his feelings of disappointment, Frank's proclamations were undeniably endearing to him. While he couldn't believe in her words himself, he found it amusing and kind that she had even bothered to speak them. Frank seemed direct, awfully and unconditionally so, and because of that he had no trouble believing that she meant every word that flew from her mouth. Unfortunately, convincing him to see it himself was a fruitless endeavor. So it was for her own benefit that he decided to play along. Surprisingly enough, he didn't think he'd enjoy seeing her upset. Particularly not because of him. "If that's what the princess decrees," he murmured, tipping his head so his lashes hooded his downcast eyes. The fact that Frank had her own scar had been a surprise, even more so because he was feeling more upset because of her mark rather than his own.

Her accidental admission of her trick did improve his mood, and the fact that she may well have done it unknowingly even more so. Uttering a small chuckle, Lily straightened to meet her gaze seriously. "So me ending up half-naked in the office with you....was on purpose?" He probed gently, a small smile already threatening to take over. "Impressive...I think." Even though he'd suspected as much from the beginning, the fact that he'd continued to go along with it had been just as much a surprise to him. Maybe it was just something Frank brought out in him. He cocked a eyebrow, smile growing unconsciously. "We? I wasn't aware I had a fan club." Lies, more or less. Teenagers weren't often subtle, and he'd seen one or two watching him from stalls or corners in the past, though he'd never had the patience to deal with it before.

Lily didn't even bother interrupting Frank's self-imposed silence. He was well aware by now that it wouldn't last, and right on cue she opened her mouth again. He couldn't remember a time when he'd been complimented so vigorously, and so often. It wasn't something he was used to, and because of that it wasn't something he thought he could grow accustomed to, or knew how to deal with. Squirming slightly, he managed a shrug. He'd basically ignored accepting the compliments themselves for as long as possible, though it seemed he was running short on time now. Was he supposed to say thank you? Didn't that just make it seem like he agreed, and thought he deserved the praise? It was a ridiculous thing to worry over, so he didn't try to explain it. Instead he tried to find a distraction in anything other than himself, mainly by focusing Frank as the centre of his attention.

It was impossible to say he'd ever met anyone like her before. Not in the way she acted, certainly not in the way she talked. It wasn't the constancy of her chatting that was difficult, but the magnitude in what she said, and it almost seemed like half the time she didn't realize it herself. It was a shame really, how easily she had shocked him to the core and not noticed. It was embarrassing as well. Lily found himself in a surprisingly stuck situation; wanting to do something as thanks, when he was certain Frank wouldn't even known what he was thanking her for. Not only that, he needed to turn the conversation away from himself, far away. Bracing his palms on the edge of the table again, Lily bit his lip thoughtfully. "Do you mind if I kiss you, Frank?.......You know, to help you keep quiet and all."

"Totally on purpose," Frank confirmed, nodding. Of course, not five seconds after the words left her mouth she seemed to realize that she had, actually, said the words aloud. She blinked, seemingly stunned by that realization, then shrugged her shoulders. She really wasn't one to dwell overmuch on tiny details like that, especially given the larger picture and the half-naked hottie still standing in front of her.

"Oh you totes got a fan club," said Frank, rolling her eyes, "are you kidding me? We're totally a buncha freaks that are all shoved together with other freaks and told to be careful about the general public so we don't get our freak on and stuff and, like I said, like, a lot: You are super pretty. Thus sayeth the--" Frank paused though, not because she ran out of steam (impossible) or because she didn't want to talk over someone (did happen, but unlikely), but because she'd actually noticed Lily's moving. She paused midword, her train of thought hopping the tracks for several long seconds there. She could almost hear the breaks squealing in her head while she stared at Lily.

"Uh, what? You sure you wanna? I mean, I totes do, and I'm super hot and all, but people around here are all like 'that's Frank and you don't wanna get her Frank germs or something," said Frank, waving a hand. She could feel her heart pounding, but of course she certainly couldn't stop. She needed to keep going and had already opened her mouth, readying words to start flying out of her mouth at a rate that most people would agree was "inhuman."
