Well, she couldn't really argue that, because he was right. She knew that, and he had told her numerous times. One time, one moment was all it had taken for something to go wrong and send everything spiraling. Frank had decided she wanted to take her friend, Solkat to some kind of event, that required her to be snuck out. Especially since the warnings of SPECTRE had kind of forced a rule where all the visible mutants had to stay inside the school. Of course, Frank had asked for Trevor's help, and then hers, and Erika had provided them with everything they had needed to get out of the school unseen. And thanks to SPECTRE knowing about her and her family, they had gotten caught. So really, no matter how it was turned or flipped, Erika knew who was to blame for everything going down the way it had, and it surely wasn't Everett. "I know," she said with a solemn sigh. One would think she had learned too, but had she? Of course not. Only a month before, she had left the state to go hang out at some shady beach all alone, so there."There's nothing you could have done," she said, "People didn't notice we were gone until after a month had passed," she said and shook her head, "I had my twin sister pretend she was me so that no one would notice we had snuck out," she added with a grimace, "And Ellen kind of helped..." Thinking back at it, it was all kind of ironic. She couldn't have planned her own tragedy better than what she had. "So, most likely they woulda tricked you too anyways." As they did with Felix and everyone else Erika knew. The only person that had seen through their charade had been Franck, and he could read people's emotions, so that was easy, seeing as how Elsa was much colder and distant than Erika was.Though, it kind of made her sad, because deep down? She hated the fact that people weren't able to tell her and her twin apart. Nothing ever made her as self-conscious as that.Moving her hand to the back of his head, she smacked it lightly before shaking her head, "I'm the hypocrite here? Please," she said, incapable of keeping the faint smile off of her lips. "Or just unlucky, because I know for a fact that you're not a bad person." He could try convincing her as much as he wanted, but she knew him, and she knew exactly what he was like. He wasn't a bad person. He had a tendency of being impulsive, sure. But no, he was far from bad. He had never been. "You never were."She had to admit that she felt the disappointment sway over her when he stepped away, but shrugging it off, the telekinetic rose to her feet. Leaning against the counter, she narrowed her eyes quizzically when he started rummaging through the cabinets. When he returned and held out what looked like a packet of salt, she just stared at it with utter confusion. Taking it, she lifted her brown eyes and studied his face, "Toss...Salt on you," she repeated. Well, that surely was a new way to go about things. There was some form of humor in his words, as she was used to him beating himself over something over and over again, so really, this was kind of a nice change of pace. It was nice, being able to see him come to terms with something and finally deciding that it was about time he started looking at the world in a brand new light. He deserved that."No more blaming yourself for something you didn't cause or couldn't have prevented," she said with a quirked brow.Shaking her head, she chuckled softly and held up her own package of salt. Well, it certainly couldn't hurt, now could it? "I like the sound of that." Probably a lot more than she should have, and she couldn't quite help reading too much into what he was saying. Especially the part about them being in it together. They hadn't been a 'them' in a very long time, and she would be lying if she claimed she didn't miss it. "Makes me wonder who wants to throw salt on who, though," she smirked.
