Help Make It Better

Beau would not have to worry about spending an arm and a leg on getting Devyn drinks, since even if the alcohol content was low in a drink, if you mixed it with others then Devyn could easily get drunk. What she was drinking now had a high enough content that she was already feeling a dull buzz in the back of head as she tossed back yet another drink. Shot glasses were always fun to just quickly down the drink in one gulp and deal with the burn of the drink after. The pain of the burn felt slightly good since pain meant that she was alive. Even if Devyn normally was not one who liked a lot of pain that happened outside of the bedroom, lightly pain was the only thing that she had to make sure that she didn't completely go numb. "Well yeah, at a bar people tend to hang out with anyone that will put up with them." Devyn responded back to Beau's words and chuckled a little when Beau did comment on what Devyn was really getting at.

Devyn didn't think that she and Beau would have ever actually hung out like this or chated with one another if they were not at the school. Where Beau was from he probably was not a big fan of people like Devyn who slept with both guys and girl. She bet that Beau didn't even know that she was actually a girl, and she noted that she would have told him at some point. It was not like she was meaning to hide her actually gender from the other guy, he was more than likely just assuming; like many did, and that she was a guy. Devyn just didn't really mind people thinking she was a guy and it came in handy when she did need to play as a guy or if the girls line in the bathroom was just way too long. "Well...thanks for dealing with me here even if back home we probably would not deal with one another." Devyn said with a smirk as she tossed back another drink, now feeling nice and warm as she relaxed a little more on her stool.

"You should play something people can really get dancing to. It's always funny to see people in a bar dance when they have bene drinking. They tend to just to the whole jump and sway around thing." Devyn said with a snicker as she played with her empty glass for a moment before getting another one. Snickering again as Beau brought up her drinking again and it had her green eye giving him a certain look. "I knew you wanted to drink with me, but now I feel like you are trying to get me drunk. Not going to slip anything in my drink if I look away, are you?" Devyn asked, but she was still smirking so of course she was just half teasing. Devyn sipped a little on her next glass and shook her head no when Beau brought up girls. "Nope, no girls or guys for me. Only drinking." Devyn said as she pointed at Beau for a moment before forgetting what she was going to say next and instead tossed her drink back.

"Plus, this bar does not really scream 'ladies come hang here'." Devyn pointed out as she played with her empty glass again, making it twirl on its side as if she was playing spin the bottle.

Again with the mention of not hanging out together under normal circumstances. Beau wanted to argue but, well, he couldn't help but agree slightly. He and Devyn came from drastically different worlds, and chances were that the two of them would never have crossed paths had it not been for a very odd set of circumstances that led them to right where they were now.

So for now, he just waved the comment off. Not something they needed to be thinking about, not now. Instead he just took another sip of her drink, watching as Devyn moved on to the next. "Folks that come here usually ain't lookin' to dance," admitted Beau, looking around. "They're a pretty good crowd though, 'specially when you get to know them," the indication being that Beau had spent the time to do so. He talked to people after his shows, and sometimes before, and it showed often enough.

"Ain't gotta worry none 'bout me doin' that,' he replied at the mention of drugging. "The alcohol will do its magic jus' fine without too much help from me," he nodded toward the drink and tapped the rim of his own. "'sides, it's always good to jus' forget 'bout these things. An' ladies do come 'round here, jus... not often," Beau looked around for a bit, bounced his brows and took another. "You know that holdin' on ain't always the best idea, right? It's a good way to end up gettin' burned in the end. Trust me: sung enough songs 'bout that sorta thing," and not many about getting a girl back after she'd said goodbye, though he didn't quite want to rub salt in the wound just yet.

Beau waved off their chat about how they would not have ever hung out or probably never talked to one another under normal circumstances. Devyn was fine with that since she was not really one to hold onto something forever unless it was getting a reaction out of someone. Devyn had yet to actually get a rise out of Beau or even get him blushing but she was confident she knew how to get a reaction out of Beau. It was probably as simple as bringing up Liz and just sticking to that but with Devyn drinking and probably going to end up drunk before Beau that was not such a good idea. She didn't really want to be at a huge disadvantage when fighting Beau because she had a feeling that if she went to fair that Beau would not hesitate to punch her. Devyn kept playing with her glass as Beau spoke about people here didn't really dance.

Nodding her head in agreement because it was the night club where Devyn had the real fun, but she was trying to avoid certain aspects of her life so the bar was probably the best place for Beau to take her. "I think you just end up getting along with anyone, you are...too nice of a guy." Devyn pointed out as she searched for the right word before just settling for nice and grabbed another drink. She could practically tell since they walked in the Beau was pretty much a regular here and she could see why. The place had an odd calm about it and if you could just get up there and performing for people who liked you and you liked them back then it probably was the best place for a guy like Beau. Devyn didn't feel like she really belonged here, no attachment, and certainly no skill that she could show off in front of the other people here.

Devyn half snickered at Beau responding back that he didn’t really need to drug Devyn since the alcohol was doing a good job at it already. He had a point. Devyn certainly felt the buzzing and warm feeling spreading across her body as she began to relax a little more on the stool before turning around to look around the bar. She could not help but to scoff and roll her eyes at Beau pointing out that ladies did come here but just not as often. "If one hot girl walks in here tonight I will give you twenty bucks the next time I get sent money." Devyn put that bet out there as she took yet another drink and tossed it back before just settling to play with the empty glass. Going still and her graze just looking over to Beau when he pointed out that holding out was not really the best idea and could result in a burn. Devyn remain silent for a moment as she closed her green eyes and let out a deep breath.

"I normally don't but...I love her and for once in my life I just figured that maybe if I tried...gave it all that I had that I would not lose someone that I love." Devyn said as she slowly opened her eyes and looked at her empty glass and sat in silence for a moment before giving a weak chuckle. "Man I sound so pathetic, don't mind me at all." Devyn said as she still looked around the bar, just taking in the different sights and smells as he mind started to wonder a lot. It tended to happen when she got drunk after all.

"Well, I reckon that if I got on with everyone, I wouldn't've gotten shot that one time," said Beau, though his smile didn't leave his face. He still recalled facing down the bullets and feeling one enter his side. It had been worth it to help protect the school he loved and all. Beau really didn't see it as anything above what everyone else would do.

Just like he saw what he was doing now as much the same. When you saw someone moping and needing a drink, you bought them one and tried to smile. "You're makin' me want to call Liz," replied Beau, chuckling a bit. He had no doubt that she'd be here in a moment, and, to be honest, it was tempting to do so. Because Liz would find the bet hilarious and she happened to be great at cheering people up. Worked for Beau every time.

Except he figured that they should leave this as a sort of "guy's night only" type sort of thing, what with Devyn's head so lost and all. "Well, ain't like she's dead," said Beau, nodding, "an' you ain't gotta get so wrapped up. The whole love thing's about gettin' your heart all worked over. Gotta get it beat up and nice an' tenderized so by the time the person you were meant for shows up, it's all ready an' tender. Happened to me," He saluted Devyn with his drink before taking another pull. He'd almost finished, which meant he'd have to chill, or maybe order something that wasn't technically illegal for the next round.

"True, but in that case they didn't even give you a chance to have a talk with them." Devyn pointed out, part of her feeling that if Beau had gotten the chance to talk to those who attacked the school then maybe they would have listened to them. There was no time for talking then, everyone was all about the action and putting an end to lives. Thinking about it made Devyn's gaze look down towards the ground as she tried to recall that day. All she could remember was feeling so much anger, guilt, regret, hatred, and pain. They had hurt Zoe and Devyn could not help but blame herself for that and on top of that she had gone out there, not even a part of the official squad. It was not as if the school was going to risk stopping her and she got the job done that was asked of her. "Did you kill anyone that day?" Devyn asked after a moment of thinking about that day and looking down at the floor.

She did not recall much besides darkness and pain but she knew that she had killed. She had been told as much and small parts of her memories would come back in the form of nightmares when she did get some sleep. She just wanted to know if a good guy like Beau had killed anyone that day and if so how he was managing to hold up. Devyn had been fine because that person that she had done it for she still had with her, but now that Zoe broke up with her. What was the point of it all? Had she basically been a murder for nothing? I need to drink more. Devyn thought to herself as she got another glass and tossed it back. "Better question would be if you got a cool scare out of it and if you want to compare." Devyn added after a moment since she didn't want to bring things down too heavy for the other guy. He was already dealing with her depressed and increasingly drunken state.

Chuckling at Beau wanting to call up his girl which Devyn honestly would not mind all the much. "Go ahead, but that would sort of be cheating since you called her up. You should go be with your girl still, I don't want you to have to deal with me when you could be getting some love from her." Devyn pointed out and that was she honestly felt about the matter. If Beau could go be with his loved one then Devyn rather him do that then deal with her. She had gotten used to dealing with her pain and problems on her own so she didn't want Beau to feel like he had to do anything. It was nice, but it was odd for her in a way. Devyn gave a small nod at Beau's words about it not being as if Zoe was dead. Still the rest of what Beau said Devyn really didn't want to hear since she felt like she had enough of her heart being worked on. She looked at Beau when he said that it had happened to him and while Devyn didn't take that as a surprise she didn't really feel that it made her feel any better.

"I don't think I can take my heart being worked over anymore." Devyn muttered out as she set down her empty glass, really stopping herself from drinking anymore at the moment as she started to people watch. She didn't want to keep talking until the drinks made her feel better over just feeling warm and depressed.

Somehow, Beau wasn't certain that sitting down and talking to SPECTRE had been much of an option. As far as he knew, there were just some people that weren't gonna listen to you, no matter what you said. Heck, he'd do the same sometimes, if someone started talking a bunch of nonsense that went against everything he believed. He'd obviously have fought for that almost as hard as SPECTRE had. As for the other part... "I try not to think about it," he replied, trying to sound light. He didn't always remember everything. He knew it had come down to just a few people working with a handful of security staff to hold off a lot of troops. He recalled throwing up crystals and trying to make sure that they didn't get any further. They weren't supposed to kill anyone though, but who knows what happened?

Great job of dipping into the darkness there for a bit: certainly not what Beau was hoping for. He knew he'd have to pull up to get Devyn out of this. So much for thinkin' he's a fun drunk. Either that or push him even further down.

"Ain't nothin' wrong with riggin' the game a bit," replied Beau, smiling to dismiss the earlier sadness. "An' if you keep wallowin', I'm gonna call her up. You won't last long when she's pokin' an' proddin' you." Except that Beau was pretty sure that Liz had met and befriended Zoe, so she might have a few things to say in that regard. No, best that they each took up their half of this mess.

"You ain't always gotta let your heart get into it," said Beau. "Sometimes you jus' gotta let other parts have their fun," what he stopped himself from adding was how much better it was when the heart was involved. "Stop thinkin' 'bout it an' jus' toss back yer drink. Ain't like there's anyone here but us guys anyway. We can always rack up some balls an' play some pool if ya want." Beau jerked his thumb over his shoulder toward the table, nodding a few times. Wouldn't be the first time he'd handled a pool cue.

Devyn could relate in terms of not always doing what she was told or what someone was saying to her because in the end she was going to do as she liked. She was an alpha and as such she tended to make up her own rules and do as she liked without trying to step on too many toes in the process, at least when it came to adults. Everyone else had to more or less just deal with how Devyn was but since the breakup she had become more of a Beta and sometimes an Omega. Beau left Devyn basically unknowing about if Beau had killed anyone when SPECTRE attacked. She was going to take that as that he might have but it would have been more of an accident did something that he was doing on purpose. Devyn still wanted to compare scars at least because oddly enough showing her scares off did make her happy. It was odd to be proud about things that just revealed the abuse that was either done to your body by others or yourself.

Most of Devyn's scares were from abuse, while the rest being from fighting or training accidents but all the same she was happy to show them off. Plus with the ones she got from abuse she tended to lie and say that they were from a fight and since no one knew any better they tended to believe that. Beau seemed done with that subject however do Devyn let it drop shaking her head and smiling a little at Beau's words. She tended to not be this depressing of a drunk, but things just felt like they were piling on and all the holding in was just starting to show up even with being drunk. "Everything is wrong with rigging the game when it means I will lose." Devyn pointed out but she was still smirking all the same. "Plus if you brought her I'll either get jealous of the two of you or end up flirting with her and you would not like either of those." Devyn pointed out and she was being fully honest since those were the two scenarios she saw occurring if Beau invited over his girl, but she was not going to stop him from doing it.

Devyn could not help but to laugh at Beau's words about letting the other parts have their fun and not let your heart get into it. Clearly Beau still didn't know Devyn all that well if he was saying that to her. "It because I let the other parts have their fun and didn't put my heart into it sooner that I'm in this situation." Devyn pointed out as she played with her glass some more before standing up off of her stool. She wobbled a little as the world spun for a moment before mostly settling still enough for Devyn to stand and not worry about walking like she was about to fall over. Devyn just smirked when Beau pointed out that it was just 'the guys' here; proving that he still thought she was a he. She really needed to tell him her actual gender, probably tonight at some point but for now he made a good suggestion.

"Let’s play some pool then. I'll have you know I'm pretty good." Devyn said with a cocky smirk as she already started to head towards the pool table. She was actually horrible at pool normally but when she was drunk her skills actually improved, which was odd. "Are we making any bets or playing like strip pool?" Devyn asked now feeling herself ease up a bit more and her more flirting and just trying to enjoy life was start to come to the surface.

Beau was tempted to point out that Devyn was just protesting the cheating because he'd lose, but he didn't want to go that far. Especially since Devyn had pointed out another slight flaw with the whole plan: the poor guy would have to sit there and watch Beau and Liz being, well, Beau and Liz, which was pretty much unbearable to anyone who wasn't named Beau LaRoux or Liz Edison, really.

And apparently Devyn didn't need any more reminding of what had just happened, considering that he seemed determined to wallow in it. Beau tried waving it off, was tempted to say that the past was in the past, but Devyn had already gotten up and begun acting at least somewhat excited about one of Beau's suggestions. Beau nodded and slid off the bar, heading toward the pool table. he picked up a cue, handling it easy enough, giving it a little more chalk.

"Ain't no reason to play strip pool," he replied, pointing the cue toward Devyn, "on account of there not bein' any decent lookin' girls about. An' seein' as you won't let me call Liz, we ain't likely to get any anytime soon. Could try some kinda bet though. What you have in mind?" Beau was already limbering up, rolling his shoulder a bit and sliding in the necessary money to get the balls to play. No matter how the game went, Beau figured he'd probably still end up the winner. If he won, he was a literal one; if Devyn won, he'd cheer up, and Beau would still win.

It was cheating if Devyn was going to lose, and while she was not the type to always need to win in everything she didn’t want the game to be rigged against her. The bet was only going to be made if Devyn knew that there was a chance that she was going to win. If Beau was going to call on Liz then that was going to rig the bet in Beau’s favor, simple as that. There was also the fact that what Devyn said about being jealous or flirting with Liz would have also been a problem. Devyn would have dealt with the two of them being all loving on one another but it would hurt. Making Devyn just wondering why she could never have that for long and then end up bothering Beau even more for some help winning Zoe back.

Devyn managed to get over to the pool table as if she was sober, grabbing the pool cue and twirling it in hand. Checking to make sure the pool stick was put together well enough that it was not going to fall apart while she was using it. Starting to chuckle as Beau said there was no need to play strip pool, no fun at all. “You must have forgotten that I like guys too. I would not mind seeing you strip down as I kick your butt in pool.” Devyn said snickering a little with her words. Beau was attractive after all and she knew that they would probably just remain friends; she would still appreciate the view. Her luck just happened to work better with girls then it did with boys this year. Devyn did try to think up what bet they could make for the pool game.

“Hmmm…if I win you have to teach me how to ummm…win at loving someone?” Devyn asked since she was not really sure how to word what she was asking Beau’s help on if he lost against her. She was going to suggest what Beau got if he won but since it would be him winning then she was going to leave it to him to decide on what he wanted to put up to bet. Devyn just hoped Beau didn’t pull a ‘you have to try going out with someone else or to give up on Zoe’. She didn’t want to do either of those things, not yet, not until she had at least talked to Zoe. Not until Zoe at least understood that she was being super unfair, even if she had a right to be upset but it still felt really unfair.

"Didn't forget," replied Beau, tilting the cue toward Devyn, "jus' ain't interested," and he definitely wasn't gonna play that game without a little enjoyment on his side. He definitely hadn't drank enough to want that now. On the other hand, if Liz happened to be around, well, then it might very well be a different story.

That was another chapter though, because now they were cuing up balls and readying for a game that involved just the two of them. Beau looked up at Devyn as the other guy laid down his rules, heaving a sigh. "You're supposed to be forgettin' 'bout all that, remember?" he said, then chuckled as he realized how that came out, adding a few shakes of the head. "Was thinkin' more 'bout who's buyin' a round an' all," he smiled up at Devyn and shifted the triangle to jiggle the balls into place, mostly wanting to hear them clacking against one another.

Then Beau carefully lifted it up, leaving the balls held in place. He picked up the white cue ball, setting it down on the table. "You wanna break or you want me to?" he asked, looking up at his friend with raised brows.

Devyn chuckled at Beau's words about how he didn't forget, but was just not interested. Ah, being friend zoned was amusing even if it did bruise the ego from time to time. Not in this case since Devyn was fine being just friends with Beau and the other boy was clearly in a happy relationship with Liz. Devyn didn't want to mess that up when she and Beau were friends. If it had been someone else, there would be that risk of Devyn being a bit too curious but she tended to be good at sticking to the unspoken rules. Like not going out with your best friends ex, or sleeping with your friend’s girlfriend or boyfriend. Yet if said other party started it, could she really be to blame? That kind of thinking is to blame, Dev. Devyn mentally scolded herself as she used the blue chalk a the tip of her pool stick. "Have you ever like...kissed a guy before at least? Never bit a tiny bit curious?" Devyn asked as she watched Beau work on setting up the game.

Laying out what she thought was a good bet but Beau pointing out that the goal was to try and get Devyn to stop thinking about such things. "Sorry man, I'm like a dog with a bone. Once I realize how much I love that bone I don't want to ever give it up and I'm always going to be thinking about it when I don't have it." Devyn said with a small shrug and it was not like she was not trying to forget about Zoe, it was just hard. Plus she didn't want to. How could she just try and forget about someone she had gone through so much with, for even just one night. She could not even forget her mother no matter how hard she tried. "If you were up for a little bit more fun then I might do a better job at forgetting." Devyn mumbled under her breath. Basically implying that if Beau slept with her that would be a good distractor.

Even if she didn't really think she would end up sleeping with Beau because of her current goal but if anyone had a higher chance at getting Devyn to break her goal, it would people that she felt close with. People that she considered a friend and with an interesting enough personality that she go for it. "Well...remember I'm currently broke, but if you are willing to take an IOU, we can do that sort of bet." Devyn responded back to what Beau had been more so aiming for when he had brought up betting. Devyn liked the whole strip pool or having to do something in a game when there was winning and losing. It made it more interesting and while money was great, it only lasted so long while a memory of something lasted even longer. There was the question about breaking which had Devyn shrugging.

"Ladies first I guess." Devyn replied back as she moved into position, aiming he pool stick at the white ball before hitting it and sending the balls knocking into one another and rolling around on the pool table. Devyn managing to pocket a stripped ball on the first go that had her smirking for a moment. "Wait...do I keep going or is it your turn?" Devyn asked, having completely forgotten to play pool in that moment.

"Ain't even the least bit interested," replied Beau, shrugging, "an' I figure they'd run me right outta my hometown."

Beau added another shrug. He could say more, maybe something about how it was supposed to be a sin or something, but he could still remember his mamma's lessons about throwing stones. There was a reason that Jesus was all "first person who hasn't sinned can throw the first stone" or whatever. 'sides, none of that would get Devyn's mind off Zoe, which was the main point here.

"Ya dropped the bone in the pond, Dev," drawled Beau, giving his friend a wry look. He missed the mumbled part, assuming it was something about setting up the game and all. Beau readjusted the balls and what not. And he had forgotten the whole broke thing. Part of him wanted to suggest that Devyn could try and get a job to fix that. Plenty of local places were hiring. Hell, Beau could probly get Devyn a job here at Matt's.

For now though, they had pool to play. Beau wasn't sure what the whole ladies' first thing was about, so he just stood by and watched as Devyn moved to break. "You keep goin' till you don't get one in a pocket," said Beau, gesturing with the cue and nodding. "Don't worry: it'll happen eventually," he grinned and leaned lackadaisically on his cue, ready for his friend to continue and, hopefully, get wrapped up in the game.

"Shame, I bet one of you male fans had a crush on you and now their dreams are crushed because you are super straight." Devyn said with a chuckle as she looked Beau over, but she really didn't get the gay vibe from him so trusted he was being honest. Liz was at least lucky to know that she would only every have to worry about Beau looking at other girls and not boys. Not that Beau seemed like he would cheat with how he talked about being in a bad relationship before and just his personality. "Ah, so you grew up in that kind of area where being gay is bad and unholy right?" Devyn asked as she looked to Beau, fully seeing it being possible. Odd that Beau was still dealing with her knowing that she slept worth both and was trying to be in a homosexual relationship with Zoe. Well...Beau probably didn't know getting back with Zoe was a gay relationship because he clearly still thought that Devyn was a dude. Yes, that needed to be worked out later on but for now it was time to play the pool game.

Devyn let out a growl at Beau when he said that she dropped the bone in the pond, understanding what he was getting at. "Well hopefully the water is shallow or I'm going to end up drowning trying to get that bone back. Tired of losing my bones." Devyn pointed out, a growl still in her words as she was getting slightly defensive. She didn't mean to be but she just didn't like the idea of Beau basically still seeming to be more so on the side of making Devyn give up and forget about it. Friends were supposed to support you and help you out right? Was Beau even really her friend or was this just a simple they dealt with one another because Beau didn't have anything better to do. Calm down Dev. Devyn told herself as she took a deep breath to get herself to settle down and focused on the game. Devyn would have been happy to get a job, if she actually felt like she was good at something.

Having a job would make it easier for her in the future when the money her father had for her ran out because it would run out at some point. Problem was Devyn didn't feel like she was good at really anything, so never really tried to apply for a job and just sort of lived day to day on the money she had from her father, from selling things, or just living off of the school. "Right, stand back and try to keep your jaw from hitting the floor." Devyn said with a snicker as she smirked at Beau and moved to go hit the white ball again. Aiming to try and get another stripe in a pocket, but ended up just causing the balls to move around the table and nothing going in. "...damn. I sneezed." Devyn said with a slight embarrassed smirk as she stepped back to let Beau get his space to play the game.

"Crushes don't hurt nobody, an' they always got other guys who I'm sure be plenty interested," replied Beau as tactfully as he could, adding a few nods in there. He'd shift anxious as Devyn kept going, but nod all the same. "Pretty much," was what ended up coming out of him by the way of words. more shifting about soon followed, and Beau was tempted to mention the whole throwing stones bit. Best to just keep moving on though, get the conversation focused on lighter, happier things.

Which Devyn still seemed to struggle with. "Drownin' ain't gonna help no one, especially with other bones around," said Beau carefully. He flashed a quick smile at the end and made a mental note to, well, compare notes with Liz at some point. Again, definitely something he'd have to worry about later. For now, he needed to focus in on the game in front of him, though he was tempted to throw that anyway.

Devyn missed, and Beau chuckled. "Jaw's certainly droppin' 'bout now," he drawled. He then stepped up, walking about for a moment, considering the layout of the balls. He drew his cue up, aimed at the white ball, and hit hard. It worked well to scatter the balls, but it didn't get any into any pockets. It also made getting a ball into a pocket in one shot damn hard from there. Smiling, Beau went back to his drink. "Looks like it's your turn now, partner,' he drawled, throwing as much Southern into the last word as he possibly could.

"Crushes lead to serious things LaRox. Have you not had your crazy stalker fan yet? Those start of as crushes." Devyn pointed out and gave Beau a look and the started to nod her head. Beau was a singer and lily to be famous one day, he was going to have to prepare to be breaking hearts without even know it. That and the whole possibility of someone having a crush on him and it going past what he apparently didn't think could hurt you. Crushes could be a deadly thing even if a person didn't plan to hurt you; you could be the one hurting them and not even know it. Not that it was your fault, but Devyn was just pointing out that crushes could hurt someone. Yet they had their game to be focused on, even if Devyn still kept going back into that dark place that ruled over her mind. She was still hurting so it made sense that her mind was harping on the things that hurt even while she was fully starting to feel the effects of her drinks.

Her mind having gotten distracted for a moment with a light that was flickering for a moment, making her adjusts her shades. "Drowning could help a lot of people Beau, depends on how you look at it and who is judging it." Devyn pointed her stick at him and gave a nod, snickering a moment before getting serious. The whole pointing a stick at him made her have a bad thought that would have made Beau talk more about the whole 'gay is bad' things. Even if Beau was not outright saying it, that was what he was implying or at least that was how he was raised to think and perhaps still thought of it that way a little bit. Devyn didn't know and she was not going to prey much because it was pretty clear that Beau was uncomfortable by it. He was doing that whole moving around thing that people did when they were uneasy about a topic or what have you so Devyn said no more on it and focused on the game.

Devyn gave a slight growl at Beau's chuckling but it was more of a playful challenge then actually being angry with him. It was hard to feel angry when she was feeling...warm and good. Yes, those were the two words she was going to go with on this matter. "Ahaha, you are such a comedy." Devyn said in such a dry tone but she was still smirking and let Beau take his turn. Getting distracted with counting how many times the balls clanked into one another and then saw that Beau had basically made it harder for her to get anything in her turn. "Cute Beau, cute." Devyn responded back with a role of her eyes as she moved to hit the white ball, hardly hitting it at all and made it just move a tiny bit, not wanting to have given Beau a possible advantage. "Opps, its seems my not sober state has cause me to basically scratch." Devyn said with a smirk as she gestured for Beau to take his turn.
