You Said Milkshakes

"Parents." Blake said with a half scoff at Tam's words agreeing with Blake on the whole subject of cars, trucks, and how their fathers would be. They really were all just vehicles and while they looked different and one could do a job better then another, they still were used to get from one place to another without having to walk or use horses. Blake did miss her family, a lot, but at the same time she feared ever going back there. Things just got...complicated when she came into her power. Plus that woman might have gone back there and Blake wanted to avoid that at all cost. She had a very short list of people she never wanted to run into while she lived and that woman was at the top of the list. Plus she had grown happy living here, even if it was not like huge or the city, it was still nice. It was home and she had a lot of people here that she cared a lot about, people like Tamara.

Blake just wanted to make conversation, figure out what the crazy stuff and drama that came from having to be a dorm monitor. She had to deal with the kids even more then Blake did and she also had to look in their rooms and expect them. She had to have found like hidden animals or illegal things and heard interesting excuses from the students. Maybe Blake was thinking too much on it and her imagination was going wilder then what Tam had to actually deal with, but it was still something cool to think about. Tam explained that it was not something that was a big of a deal, how she told the girl to stop, and had not heard anything much past that. Blake shook her head no, not finding anything cute about a nose bleed either. "Maybe she just really liked blood color red and enjoyed other in pain. That is a kink." Blake pointed out and personally knew that while she had kinks, breaking someone’s nose was not one of them.

Blake then started to snicker at Tam letting her know about a time she had to explain to a guy that getting a boner was not weird. Then another story about how a guy wanted his girlfriend to stay over so they could sleep with one another and argued that they would use protection. Well at least they were using protection, but if they were not sneaky enough to get it in the dorm then they should have tried it out in the woods. "Kids should be happy I'm not a dorm monitor. Since I can sense powers I would be able to tell if someone was in a room they should not be past curfew and I would be strick as hell." Blake said honestly, even as a student she did the dirty, but she knew how to not get caught, plus most of the time it happened at parties were a lot of people were doing the do so it was harder to get caught.

Blake went off to find some good earrings why Tam did her thing, not jumping when Tam came closer since she could feel the other women’s power coming closer and closer in her range. "Mmmm...that pair speaks to me. What do you think?" Blake asked as she pointed to a pair of dragon earrings that pretty much took up your whole ear.

Tam could understand that some people could be interested about cars, just like some were fascinated by bugs or hockey or the internet. It was a hobby, she supposed. She was ready to stand corrected about trucks and cars and whatever but her father would have added more about it and she could really do without. She was glad Blake was not the kind that needed to point out every difference between a car and a truck.

That being said, she kind of missed them. It was funny, as she always complained about her hometown being too small, people being boring and how she felt trapped in there. Now, she found herself wishing she could spend some time there and be with them. Not all her life, she knew she’d go crazy. But some time, that would be great. Conversations through a webcam wasn’t the same as face to face.

She shrugged as they theorized over why that girl loved nose bleeds. Tam couldn’t understand that. She could enjoy a gore movie now and then but that was about it. “Then it must be terrible if she ever fought down at the arena,” she pointed out. Most of the time, Tamara mostly had to deal with people whining over home, trying to snuggle in some illegal goods or a pet or had a complaint about the noise a roommate made. Boring. But in a way, she liked it. Boring meant normal, meant mutants weren’t always doing crazier shit than any other average teenager. “When you hear them, you’ll think I’m a fascist or something. I’m actually pretty lenient. But there are rules and I can’t just close my eyes to please them,” she replied. Blake would understand. Tam was not ready to risk her job just because teenagers thought the rule was arbitrary.

Tam looked at the pair Blake showed her. “I love them,” she agreed. Her practical side had her check the price. “They aren’t too expensive either. You should get them before someone else does,” she added. She always found it funny when clerks were telling you to go for the style that you loved best, as if the price did not matter. Of course it didn’t for them, they were not the ones buying it. Sometimes, common sense should win over style. At least Tam tried for it to be the case. And it would, until a nice pair of shoes or some necklace or the loveliest dress ever made caught her eye. But most of the time, she tried to be reasonable.

"I bet, luckily a power suppresser tends to hang around there a lot to keep people in check, but if she is just using her fist, then well she have to be physically stopped." Blake thought about it, not recalling hearing anything like that going on in the arena but she had not gone there in a while. She probably pays it a visit when more of the students she trained started to be a little more ready for combat. Plus she heard rumors of events that were going to take place there when the school year started up. Blake personally was looking forward to it all and just in general being with all of her friends and practically her second family here at BA. "Oh, being lenient huh Tamara? Wish you were a dorm monitored when I was a young." Blake teased and pretty much Tamara would have been young to back then so would not have been a dorm monitor.

Plus now Blake was wondering what Tamara would let her get away with, if she would even. It was good to hear that even still Tam did follow and keep the rules, which were made for a reason. "I still know I could not do it. You have to have some high level of tolerance for them or something." Blake said but then again noted that Tamara did have a kid of her own so that was probably how she was able to handle it. Wonder if she missed her kid. Blake thought to herself as she looked to her friend for a moment, wondering what was the story behind Tam being all the way here away from her family and if at all she wanted to go back to them. She would not ask; not here anyways, this was way too much a public place and she probably save it for a 'next time' chat. Blake's eyes looked over the earrings she had picked up, wondering if they were too well out there in terms of style.

They were dragons after all and people normally put that kind of look to 'punk/Goth' style, which was not really Blake. Tam loved them, and that was pretty much enough for Blake to decided that she was going to get. Pfft, no it was not to just get something that Tam liked the look of and therefore might give Blake a good complement about them the next time she was wearing them. That was not it at all...that was what Blake was telling herself anyways as she nodded. "Helping me save up for something Tam?" Blake asked teasing as she gave the women a glance and then let the clerk know that she was going to purchase them. They were not that expensive and the price was the first thing that Blake had looked after. She did grow up in the sort of backwoods way, so money was something that did make her think twice. "I'm all done here then when you are." Blake said and then started to smirk a little bit. "Would you buy me candy if I grabbed some and asked you like a child would?" Blake asked, because the temptation was there, and who didn't love free candy?

Tam never really fought into any arena, here or back when she was a student. Because, let’s face it, her power isn’t exactly good for either offense or defense. She could fight off with her fists and feet if need be but she knew the arena was not exactly for that kind of thing. She was not really surprised to hear there were power suppressors there, in case something took a turn for the ugly. It would be best, obviously. Just like it might be best to have one with some basic medical knowledge, she supposed. Again, she didn’t go there enough to really know. She had enough to do with the south wing not to care about the rest.

She chuckled as Blake teased her. She did think she was lenient. She was not letting them break the rules, of course, but she was no dragon. “I can be hard, but I’m fair. If I don’t make them follow the rules, it’s their safety that could be endangered, even if they don’t see it that way,” she added. Tam had some monitors and trainers and teachers back when she was a student that had been awful. There were always some who were stricter than the others. Tam found it hard to be like that. Not that she couldn’t be strict, they would know pretty quickly if they piss her off, but she did a lot of their mischief when she was a student herself. even if they didn't know that and had no one who witnessed it around here, she let a little hypocrite if she ever did more than what she was doing now. Still, rules were rules and she would have them applied.

She sighed when Blake talked of tolerance. “Your job requires some too. And patience. I just have more alcohol involved.” Though, as she thought of it, she dealt more with cigarettes. They just didn’t want to walk outside, especially in winter. Even curfew wasn’t so hard to enforce, except when they wanted someone to stay in with them. Sometimes they managed it, it was not a prison where Tam made sure everyone was in their bed when the lights went out. She felt that as long as they were safe and no one pointed them out to her, she shouldn’t bother.

Blake appeared to be still debating whether she wanted those earrings or not and Tam laughed when she talked. “What can I say, I am a practical woman,” she pointed out. Of course, Blake didn't have a debt of a few thousand dollars to repay a man. If she did, she never mentioned it, just like Tam never told Blake. Still, since she doubted a man ever paid for her to come to the States to marry her, she doubted she owed anyone that much money, except a bank maybe, of course.

She let her friend pay for her earrings and then thanked the man as she saw he repaired her pendant. Opening perfectly once again and the picture of her boy when he was just a baby was still there, intact. Perfect and totally worth the expense in her eyes. “I am too,” she told her friend as she was ready to leave the shop. She laughed again as she asked about candy. “It looks to me like my ten year old son turned into a twenty-eight woman. Don’t know how it happened,” she teased as she exited the store. For now, she preferred not to answer, leaving her hanging. All in good fun.

"That’s a great way of handling it I think. Letting them get away with a little so long as it’s not putting their lives in danger. You are only young once after all." Blake said, figuring that so long as there was no harm and that the kids generally followed most of the rules she too probably would not make that big of a deal over things the kids did. The thing that Blake had gotten in the most trouble for when she was a student was being outside of her room or in someone’s room. There was a one time getting in trouble for getting hot and heavy with someone but that had been in a public place and it was totally not her fault they got caught. The other person didn't know how to keep it down and even with Blake covering their mouth; they still seemed to be able to yell. To this day she swore that those who really yelled were faking it, unless they had like super hyper sensitive nerves.

Tam did have a point that Blake did have to have some tolerance and patience. A whole lot of patience, Blake was pretty sure that was most of the job. She still thought Tamara had the harder job, but now that she was thinking on her job a little more she did see that it too came with its own challenges. Had to put up with those brats who didn't want to train or just hated the whole world. Blake mostly disliked those who did not keep to their training and made her either have to track them down or let the school know the person was not working on training. She hated that part the most because she didn't want to waste her time when she could be off somewhere being lazy. "I'll agree that we both have aspects of our jobs that are difficult. Clearly we surely need alcohol for ourselves after a certain point." Blake said with a small chuckle, knowing that probably all of the staff had something to drink from time to time.

"Thanks for looking out for my funds. I'll be sure to take you out on a nice and expensive date. Lobster and everything." Blake teased of course, but at the same time wondered if that would be fun. As friends of course, because Blake again was not going to be the one to mess things up. Plus dressing up really nice, and going out to eat a nice place would certainly attract a lot of eyes. Possibly wealthy eyes that could steal Blake and Tamara away later. It was just an idea, but now Blake was considering it even more. She had no clue of what was going through Tamara's mind or even what Tam had to deal with. If she did she would have been more than willing to help her friend out in what ways she could. She was not rich and nor was she really rolling in a lot of money, but even still she would help out her friend. Blake gave a nod when Tam said she was done. Her light brown eyes looking at what Tam had fixed before she started to move towards the door.

Blake chuckled then when Tam brought up her son and how he had apparently become Blake just now. Awww, I bet she really is a good mom. Blake thought to herself as she smiled at the other women but it slowly faded. Tam didn't answer the question. "So...can I have some candy, please? I'll be really good." Blake said half serious because now she wanted candy and for it to be bought by Tam. She pay her back of course, but she oddly wanted Tam to buy it now, even looking at the other women with pleading child-like eyes.

Tamara nodded, glad her friend understood. She never had any complaint about her method, well she did out of some students but their argument was invalid. Had another staff member or even the administration told her she needed to change how she proceeded, she would, she supposed. She had been harder on the students after SPECTRE. It was a question of safety. But at the same time she didn't want this school to look like a prison to them. Besides, they might not think it because she was old now, being an adult over thirty and all, but she had been at their place once and she had not been a little angel either. She could understand them and she tried to be nice as long as it was allowed by the rules and wouldn’t put anyone in danger. To be honest, most of the kids followed the rules. You might have to remind some the curfew was on but not every day brought a fight with a student.

She even laughed a bit at the mention of alcohol. “Coffee and alcohol. Isn’t it what our body is supposed to function on?” she joked. She never thought of herself as a heavy drinker. More like a social drinker. But Blake was right, a drink now and then felt pretty good. It helped relax, especially when you did it with friends or while flirting with a good looking man. As for coffee... To think Tam never liked the taste of it much as a teenager. But it really helped giving you a little kick in the morning. The fact she took it black and strong helped at that as well, she supposed.

“I’m not in for the money you know,” she teased her friend. It might seem ironic considering who she married. But she did only because only people with a lot of funds could easily buy a woman from Eastern Europe to marry her. Considering she left him pretty quickly and was now working on repaying him, with interest, all that he spent for her to come here, she did think it proved her point. Of course, she shouldn’t have said that much to Blake. Probably admit coming to America to get married but other than that... She was not ashamed of what she did, she always assumed her choices, but that didn't mean she liked being judged on them.

Tam had a smirk on her face as Blake nearly pleaded her. No doubt she had enough money for candy herself. You don’t buy earrings if you can’t afford some candy. And Tam was only messing with her. She laughed as she saw her friend’s eyes. “How about we get there first, then we’ll see,” she told her, again, purposefully not saying yes but not saying no either.

Blake grinned at hearing Tamara laugh, having always enjoyed hearing the other women laugh and just knowing that she was still able to get her to laugh. Sure it might have been the whole crush thing that made her think that, but Blake was pretty sure it was because they were friends. She really did trust the other women a lot even if they didn't know every single detail about one another. Blake chuckled at Tam's words about coffee and alcohol, fully agreeing with the other women. She nodded her head several time on the matter, thinking about how many times she had to have a cup of coffee or some alcohol to get through a day sometimes. "You forgot to mention candy. That is needed for our bodies to function as well." Blake added since that was pretty much true for her anyways. Blake liked needed candy and could not recall a day since she developed her addition that she had gone without the sugary goodness that was candy.

Blake smirked when Tam said that she was not in it for the money and fully understood what she meant. "Well if you are not in it for the money, then what do you want from me Tam?" Blake asked with as he smirk remained on her face for a moment, a hint of flirting there but Blake moved on. "You have to let me spoil you every now again since you treat me to milkshakes." Blake pointed out because again she loved her some milkshakes and for someone to make them from here on occasional was more than enough reason for Blake to want to take them out to some fancy dinner or something. Plus a dinner with Tam meant time for the two of them to be alone, which was not something that was hard to get. Blake often was able to get one on one time with her friends and she was happy that she remained at BA in the end.

Blake squinted her eyes more at Tam when she could see the smirk on the other women’s face when she was pleading for candy. Tam yet again responding in a way that was not really giving Blake a yes or no as they left the store to head to their next destination. Tamara mostly leading the way as Blake followed behind her like a pouty kid because she had still not been told yes or no. Her arms going across her chest as she folded her arms. "You can't tease me when it comes to candy Tam. It's just mean." Blake grumbled and pouted but she still stuck close to her friend. Now wanting candy all the more since they were talking about it and she was not being told yes or no one the subject.

Tamara laughed again, unaware of just how pleasing that sound was to her friend’s ears. Tam was a guarded person but she would consider Blake as a friend. And a good one too. She had not had many of those ever since she moved to America. She just moved around a lot, not exactly a good situation to make good friends. Not to add that she always needed time to open up. Blake was one of those she opened up to, barely realizing it at first. The woman just rubbed on her and before long, she considered her a friend. Funny how these things can happen sometimes. “Candy’s mostly for your body. With milkshakes,” she pointed out. Tam’s candy was more in the shape of some very attractive man to remind her guys don’t remain obnoxious teenagers all their life. Well, most of them didn’t.

“Is it hard to believe I just want your friendship?” she asked Blake with a terribly fake innocent look and tone. She smirked as her friend added she needed to spoil her every now and then. “I’ve got nothing to say against that,” she replied with a chuckle in her voice. She could get used to being pampered. Maybe not being entirely taken care of, she was far too independent for that but she was not against being spoiled every now and then.

She couldn’t help but to laugh as Blake argued it was torturing her to tease her with candy. “Alright, alright. But you’ll have to tell me that funny story about your student,” she replied. It was too easy to tease her friend. Just hold some candy or milkshake out of her reach and you got her hooked. She walked a little further from Blake before turning around to face her. “You’re coming or what?”

Blake would have been pleased to know that Tamara thought of her as a good friend and just how Tam had opened up to her easier than she did with most. Blake personally thought that she was a good friend as well, putting her friends needs above her own and it was that mindset that caused he to never try to push things past a friendship, even if she did sometimes want more. It certainly had to be the personality that Blake had, it being ever changing and adjusting to match someone else. Even her enemies had a sort of like for her because of how she was. Plus she never really did much in the ways that would upset someone unless they got tired of her candy problem or she ate their candy. Even when those things did happen, Blake didn't make a big deal and she would apologize if she ever ate anyone's candy. Blake touched her own chest and sniffled a little at Tam's words. "You know me so well. We are certainly best friends forever." Blake said with a grin and now her mind was stuck on candy and milkshakes, causing her cravings to kick in.

Said cravings had to be satisfied so Blake was already digging into her pockets to obtain a lollypop and eat it. Her last one. If Tam didn't get her some candy while they were out, Blake didn't think she would survive the trip back to the school. Blake snickered at Tam's words about just wanting her friendship with that innocent tone and looks on her face; even if Blake knew it was not real. "Well that is certainly one way to turn a person down gently." Blake teased as she licked at her lollypop before leaving it in her mouth and enjoying the cherry flavor. Storing the lollypop in her cheek so she could speak without it being in the way but also not having to take it out of her mouth. "Then be prepared for me to pamper you one of these days. Full spa time or dinner. Not both, because I would be flat broke after." Blake said with a smile and really would be flat broke if she did both for Tam and herself. Plus she always needed some money on her for candy so being broke was a no go.

Tam laughed at her argument that had Blake grumbling a little as she started to crunch into her lollypop and eat it. She never could keep them long in her mouth before she just started to bite them. "Deal, but only after you get me candy." Blake responded with her terms and she quickly skipped to catch up with Tam and reached out to take her hand like a child would so they would not get lost from them mother. Blake feeling like a child at the moment since Tam was going to get her candy and she was just so happy. "Candy, candy. Tam's going to get me candy." Blake even sang a little, way too happy and it was pretty much on Tam to get them to their next destination because Blake was not paying attention.

Tamara was not always this carefree. Acting like a child might be the right expression. She was more the adult type with very adult games. But it was nice to joke and be childish now and then. Kept the heart young. Besides, she was not working and had no student around to freak out at the sudden change of attitude. Only Blake and there was nothing to worry on her part. She even laughed at her comment. Blake wasn’t too hard to understand yet at the same time really hard to get. At least it was easy to know she loved candy, milkshake and to lounge like a cat. The rest, well, you just had to spend time with her to discover.

“Didn’t see it that way but now that you mention it,” she replied with a light chuckle in her voice. That Blake might be turned on by her was not something that could surprise Tam. Not that she considered herself vain or anything but she knew what she looked like. Blake was very beautiful too. To think that Blake might seriously be turned on by her however, that was another story. She laughed again at the mention of a spa treatment or a dinner. “We both don’t want that. To tell the truth, I think the only time I ever went to a spa was when I cleaned up the towels,” she admitted. Not that she was suggesting they should go there. She didn’t want her friend to ruin herself. She was able to pay for herself and spend the day with Blake at the spa. It was just as pleasant and wouldn’t cost too much.

Tam didn’t mind holding Blake’s hand but she soon moved to wrap her arm around Blake’s instead. “I seriously think candy take years out of you,” she pointed out, laughing as she heard her friend hum a little song. As long as she ended up to the point Tam had to change her diapers, they should be fine.

Blake was pretty much however she wanted to be at any moment and it all depended on who she was around. She had always had that kind of personality that adjusted to best fit those who she was around and resulted in her being able to make friends easily that trusted her. She recalled her father calling her a chameleon before because of her doing this so well in one on one situation. In group setting she either remained adjusted to being the best for one person in the group or became totally not really a part of the group. This meant that she would not say or do much and just chime in here once and a while if she felt like she needed or should. Blake could not really explain why her personality did it but figured it all added up to her just wanting to always have friends. Blake would not deny that a lot of what she did was just so she could be close to another person.

Blake gave a slight nervous chuckle at Tam’s words about not seeing it that way but and then dropping off to leave Blake with a cliff hanger. Now Blake’s mind was wondering if tam was really thinking about it and what she specifically thought about the subject. Already telling herself to not get her hopes all high or anything like that because Tam did have a kid and last time Blake checked the other women was married. Maybe? Blake honestly was not sure since she actually didn’t like to think about the relationships her friends were in since she had a crush on all of them all and there would be just a tiny bit of jealously and concern when she would find out about them being with someone else or having feelings for them. Blake looked over to Tam as she explained how they would both not want that and the last time that she had gone to the spa.

“That is not really a spa trip Tamara. Now I certainly am going to have to take you to the spa with me very soon. An actually spa trip where you are being taken care of and not taking care of towels.” Blake pointed out and meant it, already planning for it and figuring how to move money around to make sure that she would be able to afford at least close to the best of what you could get. Blake’s mind didn’t even click on the hand holding thing until Tam moved to wrap her arm around Blake’s instead. Write arm linking was probably better so Blake accepted it, practically already tugging Tam into the store when they got there. “You think so?” Blake asked as she chuckled a little at what he friend said, practically almost skipping over to where the candy was. “I think you just bring the inner kid out of me when you are going to buy me candy.” Blake pointed out, and yes she was set in Tam buying her candy and that was the biggest reason was she was such a child right now.

Blake could rest easy, Tamara was not really thinking that her friend could be so head over heels for her that she would do anything for Tam. She understood that not everyone was as fiercely independent as she claimed to be. But she believed that, if Blake had really been in love with her, that she would have noticed it at some point or that the woman would have acted on those feelings. Blake might be slightly uncomfortable sometimes but Tamara never thought much about it. Besides, women, not that Tam never tried that one but to choose, it clearly was not with one that she’d end up. The experience was great but it could never beat a man. So she shook it off.

She chuckled lightly as Blake pointed out it was not what she meant by going to the spa. She hoped so for she had enough work like this, she didn’t need to clean dirty towels. “I don’t want you to ruin yourself for me. I can pay, you know, and it will be just as fun to be the two of us together there,” she replied. She didn’t mind paying. She deserved to be pampered a bit too. And she thought the whole point of this would be to have a day off relaxing together, away from students. It achieved that just as much.

The fact they might act childishly for their age, almost skipping to the candy store, holding each other like this, Tamara really didn’t mind. If she had to second think everything she ever did... She preferred to be sorry later and assume the consequences than regret what could have happened instead. Besides, it was not like she cared what people may think of her as she was acting like this with her friend. “As long as I bring it out only when I’m buying you candy. I think I deal with enough kids like that,” she teased Blake.

Tamara rarely entered candy shops in her life. Even when Mikael was with her. She was kind of amazed at the incredible amount of candy there could be in there, and all of them quite different from the other. How many types of chocolate or jelly beans were there, seriously? Assuming that the place was small enough and that Blake was not really a child and would be quite fine on her own to pick some candy, Tam decided to look around in case she’d find something she might want as well.

Blake just put it out of her mind for the moment about the whole crushing on Tamara thing, and pretty much had a crush on all of her friends. It was something that she apparently could not help since she ended up crushing on everyone that she ended up friends with. Being a pansexual that meant any of her male or female friends she was likely to have a crush on them. "I won't ruin myself over treating you to one spa day. I do have two jobs at this school after all and I get paid for both of them." Blake pointed out since she was making two paychecks because she was doing two jobs for the school. One involved her going out and about across the United States while the other was dealing with kids and training them how to control their power.

Both jobs were time consuming and stressful when you had to deal with parents and make sure that no one would recall what had happened or would stay silent with the really dramatic events of kids coming into their powers. Then dealing with students who had come from all sorts of backgrounds was also a difficult job as well, but Blake still enjoyed both of them. "Let me at least treat you to one spa day and then the next time we go we can pay for ourselves. How does that sound?" Blake asked, suggesting up what she was willing to offer and likely was not going to take no for an answer since she had pretty much already decided that the first spa day was going to be on her. Of course they were going to go more than once as well, because school was stressful and spa days were great.

"Only when it comes to candy Tam, only for candy." Blake responded back with a smirk, knowing her friend was just teasing her. Blake actually didn't need much here and just wanted something quick to grab. She had plenty of candy back in her dorm room and it would be a little while before she had to restock again. She just picked up a large bag of skittles and made her way over to wherever Tam had gone off, able to find her because of her power sensing ability. "I'm done. This please." Blake said with a grin as she held out the bag of skittles for Tamara to take, pay for, and then for Blake to consume. She was getting ahead of herself of course, but could you blame a candy lover for thinking about the end result of consuming the yummy that was candy?

It was true that Blake had two jobs at the school but that didn’t mean Tamara wanted her friend to spend all of her money on her. Had she been richer, she wouldn’t complain so much but even if she didn’t know Blake’s salary, and didn’t intend to, she could guess judging on hers. She would tell her to save her money on more important things than a spa treatment. Blake seemed determined to have it happen though and, as she pointed it, just once, it wouldn’t ruin her. She might have a lower budget for her candy for a short while but she should be fine. The fact they lived at the school helped. Tamara didn't want to think what it would be like if she had to pay for a house as well. “It’s true that we could both use one day to relax from our work,” she admitted. Alright, she got it, she better not complain about the cost and simply enjoy it. She’ll try to.

She laughed about Blake’s inner kid. That girl was somewhat of a chameleon, really, which made it hard sometimes to know exactly who she was. A mix of everything, she supposed. It was kind of funny how she could be lazy and somewhat hyper at the same time. Didn’t seem possible but she sure made it so. She was surprised they actually had some nougat bars. She never expected to see some in here. It had been a while since she had any so when Blake came back with a bag of Skittles, Tam chuckled and picked a bar as well before paying for both.

Tam didn’t give the bag to Blake just yet after paying. She left the shop, keeping the door open for her friend to follow handing her the bag only then so she could pick it up at the same time. “I’m surprised you didn’t go for the entire shop,” she teased as they left. “Any other place you want to go or we go back to milkshakes and scandalous stories?”

Blake smiled when Tamara finally seemed to give in to Blake’s plan to pay for the two of them at a spa trip. She again was not going to take no for an answer so the sooner Tam gave in the sooner they could both agree on the subject and then later on plan when they were actually going to go out on the spa trip. "We do in fact need a break from work. Or else we will start to get wrinkly and our true ages might start to show." Blake teased with a small smirk forming on her lips, but it turned into a grin because she was in candy heaven. She would say that she could die in such a place, but she knew she could not. If she died then her corpse would mess up the whole wonderful candy smell, plus she didn't really want to die in such a location. She wanted to die off somewhere comfortable, so like her bed. She was not thinking too much about death however because while she would be in her thirties soon, she was still plenty young.

Tam was write to think of Blake as a chameleon, it was hoe Blake had been for years and she knew that it probably did get a little complicated or weird for the people that were close to her. That was why she had gotten her dog tags and tried to make sure to switch them out to match the current personality type that was dominate at the moment. It was not like she had split personalities or anything, she was still all the same person. She just was more of a certain level of lazy, happy, flirty, mean, or whatever depending on whom she was around and what she was doing. Blake was certain everyone was like that to some level, so she had never felt too weird about the kind of person she was. "Getting something for yourself I see. I told you my candy addiction is going to start to rub off on you." Blake pointed out when she saw her friend grab a candy bar before taking the bag of skittles Blake handed her. Blake had expected to be handed her tasty treat right after Tam had purchased it but instead the other women held onto it.

She is not going to like eat it in front of me is she? No, tam would not for such a thing...right? Blake thought to herself as her face began to look like...well a child who had their candy stolen from them. Even if Tam had bought it so it was technically hers to do with whatever she had liked even if she did agree to buy the candy for Blake. When they left the store however, Tam handed it over and Blake was quick to take the bag and put it away in her pocket. "Thank you." Blake said in a pleased tone and a large grin on her face before it faded as she thought about Tamara's question. "Well I'm all done out here and you should always know that if milkshakes is an option, I'm going to always pick it." Blake pointed out with a smirk and now her mind was already thinking about milkshakes as she naturally started to head back to her truck.
