"I can, actually," said Tim, grinning wide. "I can't, like, fly though, because I don't have wings and junk. And fireflies are the tasty one," there, he could actually manage a joke. Then a little laugh, a real one, as Lux mentioned the bat fact. He nodded; of course he knew that. The bats told him as much, though he'd of course done some research on the fact right after he'd found out that he'd ended up with one of the weirdest powers in existence.
Though apparently weird enough to get Lux's interest. Which again had Tim doing a happy little dance in his head. a little chibi version of himself was totally doing the cabbage patch in his mind. Love it. Whenever. "Sure thing, just, uh, give me your number when we're, uh, done here and I can, like, set the date or something," should he call it a date? He totally shouldn't. She's nice, so she'd be all like I can totally pay him back by going on a date with him and .... you know what, Tim was totally okay with that. If he got to go on a date with Lux out of this, then it was so totally, totally worth it. So okay. So very, very okay. more than okay. Awesome.
Attention, fuss, ignorance, and Tim was nodding. "Well, yeah, I guess. but people need to know, you know?" he tried to look like he was much more invested in this than he totally actually was. Hopefully she didn't go digging and see all his vlogs talking about all the hotties in the school, of which she was probably his most mentioned one. "Oh yeah, I've got, like, a fair amount. Tons. I get like, five thousand hits," which was a lot for a nobody. "One of my vids almost went viral," the one about him crashing into a tree. Please don't let her find that one. Please, Fate, be nice. (Or Melusine, Tim's imaginary deity that produced lovely creatures)
Word, of course, duh, because homework. He should've figured that. It pulled up, and the recovery screen came up, "Okay," said Tim, nodding, "see if it pulls up everything you were working on. And if it doesn't, then, like, lemme know, and I can use the drive and pull stuff, I swear." He wasn't lying either, if he could route things well enough, he could totally pull up some data. He just wasn't sure how well he'd be able to reformat it.
