I love her. Devyn thought but it was still the 'hey you are really funny, cute, and I want to snuggle forever kind of love. Still not the love that Zoe had wanted from Devyn. At least Devyn didn't think it was that kind of love. In all truth she kind of forgot what love felt like after having had felt it twice only for it not to be returned or being loved back. Love was gross and she didn't want it as far as she was concerned. It set you up to hurt and as far as she could see it never lasted. Not in this day in age anyways. She heard about way to many divorces, children growing up without both their parents. How was she supposed to look forward to wanting to be in love with someone again when knowing that the likely hood of it actually lasting a year was slim. At least that was how Devyn saw it in her mind.

"Well now you smell like me, so I guess I'll let it slide this time." Devyn teased, moving to the side a little to watch as Zoe moved past her, feeling the steam coming from the bathroom. She could basically take a shower in the steam with how it rolled out. Mirrors had to be fogged over for sure and the poster Devyn had up on the back of the door had to have curled a little and she was going to have to fix it later. Then Zoe turned beat red at Devyn's toy comment, mouth moving, but no words coming out. Had Devyn's joke really gotten to Zoe that much, or was there something more? Devyn glanced over to her bathroom for a moment before looking back at Zoe. "Did you find them?" Devyn asked as she tilted her head a little to the side and gave a sly smile. Only waiting a little to see what Zoe would say or do before going to slink into the bathroom.

Shedding the rest of her lairs and turning on the water after having set her clean clothing down. Hopping right into the shower, leaving the door wide open and everything while she showered. Zoe could have closed it if she liked. Devyn didn't care either way. She was just going to take a quick shower, but ended up washing her hair while she was at it, instead of waiting to do it tomorrow. "Hey Zoe, what do you think about me cutting my hair?" Devyn called out loudly from her bathroom since she was not sure if Zoe would hear her over the running water. Once she was all rinsed off she would step out, making sure to stand in front of the door to dry off. If Zoe had left the door open she would still see it all if she was looking into the bathroom at the right angle and Devyn took her time getting dressed.

Still no talking, not for some time, certainly not as Devyn looked about, likely noticing that some of her toys had been disturbed (assuming she paid enough attention to such things to realize when that happened). A sly smile from Devyn, and Zoe was most definitely slinking away from the bathroom. She'd been so distracted that she hadn't even initially processed the fact that her girlfriend, her sexy and handsome girlfriend was, in fact, quite shirtless. No, that little tidbit got processed as Zoe nearly walked into Devyn's bed, turned, and plopped down.

Which gave her a full view of the shower.

which mean that Zoe was now staring at her girlfriend for several long moments, taking in details, scars, committing the image to mental memory. Water rolling over that body, the last bits of heat likely coming with it. Zoe stared until she realized she was staring and she forced herself to look down. that's right, the phone. Zoe bent down, picking it up, only intending to set it down. Don't look, she told herself, knowing that she wouldn't want to. There was likely a booty call on there, or flirty texts from other girls. Strangely, the thought that there might be texts from boys didn't bother Zoe in the slightest, but other girls... that bothered her.

A question, a question distracted Zoe, jerking her attention to the shower again. This meant looking at nude Devyn again, which meant averting eyes a little, mostly to not get overly... let's go with distracted. "Um," Zoe managed, before realizing that she likely wouldn't be heard over the water. "I actually like long hair!" she called, leaning a little as if to project the words better. "Mine used to be long until my power kicked in. Now I'm worried that it's going to paralyze people..." and she sort of thought she looked cuter with less hair, maybe not as outright sexy, but cuter. "But you'd probably look cuter with short hair!" there, that was something, and it wasn't something involving that buzzing phone on the counter.

She really had been looking thought them. Question is if she used any. Devyn thought to herself as she kept a smirk on her face as she looked at her girlfriend who seemed to be at a loss for words still. Devyn didn't really think Zoe would actually use any of it, even if it was all clean and such. Come to think of it, Devyn needed to get rid of some. The ones she did not really use or did not really enjoy using could be disposed of. Plus she was pretty sure some had bed ones she forgot to leave behind at other peoples places, so that would have to be dealt with. Either way, spring was around so she did have to get to her spring cleaning, so she put that on her list of what needed to be cleaned. Zoe almost fell on Devyn's bed, clearly having been distracted and still 'broken' from having to deal with her girlfriends antics. Just giving Zoe a smile and then going to enjoy her pretty quick shower since she didn't really think she needed a cold one just yet.

Devyn was in her own little world, humming to a song she had in her head while she washed up, careful to not get soap in her eyes or anything like that. She had a few scars here and there thanks to training accidents, working out accidents, fights, and in general Devyn activities the resulted in getting a few scar. She had tattoos however, two of which Zoe might have been able to see, but probably not. The one on her back in the 'tramp stamp' area and then the one on her wrist, but Zoe might have seen that one already. The rest were all too small or hidden so would not be seen from in the shower from where Zoe was, but that meant that Devyn was just going to have to show her up close and personal later. Zoe seemed to hesitate about Devyn's question, while Devyn was busy drying off, leaving her hair for last as she slipped on a pair of sweat over some black boxers. She moved to step out of the bathroom after slipping on an old band t-shirt from a Black Veil Brides concert she went to, laying her towel on her head as she hit the light off and turned the fan on as she left the bathroom.

"So fan of long hair and you used to have long hair, got it." Devyn responded as she worked on drying her hair as she went over closer to Zoe. She had heard what her girlfriend had been yelling in to the bathroom, but waiting until she was done and out of the bathroom to respond. Devyn was not going to let her hair get any longer then it was, that was for sure. She was at least going to get a trim, but she wait before going to fully cut it since Zoe liked long hair. "Like it because you have more to grab onto and pull me by it?" Devyn as coyly with that devious smirk of hers and she leaned in a little closer to her girlfriend. The phone was buzzing which did distract Devyn enough to stop her 'attack' on Zoe. Going over to her phone to give it a quick check, almost responding but just sets her phone back down and goes back to drying her hair. "I like you with short hair, but I do wonder what you look like with long hair. Any photos?" Devyn asked, changing the subject back to their hair conversation.

Of course Zoe noticed the tattoos. She noticed those, and scars, and how muscular Devyn was, and how the other girl definitely looked like she got more sunlight than Zoe herself. It had taken nearly all Zoe had not to notice any more, for that matter. She tried to look just about everywhere else, but there was just one thing in the room infinitely more interesting than anything else. True, the distracting, buzzing phone did rank pretty high up there, but even it couldn't complete with a nude Devyn (something that would no doubt please Devyn if she knew).

Reentry, now more or less dressed. Devyn also addressed what Zoe mentioned, and Zoe flushed. Her hand went up to run through her short hair, remembering when there used to be long curls surrounding her fingers instead. That part of her life was pretty much over with though, wasn't it? This was who she was now: a mutant with short hair who could paralyze with a touch. She lowered the hand as Devyn continued and came closer. Zoe did favor her girlfriend with an outstretched tongue for a moment, obviously having recovered at least enough to manage that, if nothing more. Zoe remained silent while Devyn checked, and kept that as Deyvn asked her question.

Said question sent Zoe scooting off the bed, moving to where she'd left her own phone. that meant pawing through her own clothing (which she sincerely hoped weren't ruined; she really couldn't afford to lose more clothing). "I might," she said, flicking her eyes over at Devyn. "I had a few on here, but I do have to clear them out every once in a while,' and obviously Zoe had more pictures of other people than herself. She tried pulling up pictures from half a year ago, having to sort through the several dozen she'd made since coming to Bellefonte. She paused, standing silent as she saw a face that she'd almost forgotten. Ava, smiling up at Zoe. She sighed and tapped again, and sure enough, there was one of a longer haired Zoe. She ran her hand over her shorn head again, before looking back at Devyn.

"Found one," she said, holding up her phone and moving it to face Devyn, so that the other could more easily look, should she so desire.

Devyn would have been very pleased if she found out Zoe was watching her while she took a shower. It would be the highest form of complement a person could get in a way, when Devyn thought about it. You were completely in the nude, under water, and washing up. That had to be super vulnerable in a way, even if Devyn herself did not really care if someone had seen her showering. She had showered with only a handful of people before and if someone were just being a total perv and watching her, then at least they were getting a show that they enjoyed. If it bothered her she would do something about it, but it didn't. Well not in the case of Zoe anyways. She would have been fine if Zoe even came into the bathroom to watch her, but Devyn didn't even really see it as possible that Zoe would even watch her in the shower. She might peek a little and then quickly look away all blushing. Devyn thought to herself, seriously believing that was about as far as Zoe would go.

Devyn really did like Zoe's hair. She was cute and you could see all the wonderful features of her face. Plus if she was able to fully touch Zoe she would enjoy running her hands through it and Zoe would to have enjoyed the feeling of a hand touching her scalp. A lot of people liked that, well Devyn did anyways. Hands playing with her hair made her feel sleepy where pulling her hair did whole other things. Hair pulling and biting. Devyn thought to herself about her own weakness as she looked at Zoe's neck for a moment. Zoe stuck her tongue out and Devyn, moving quick to chomp at the air just in front of it before standing up straight as she had read her text. Some guy asking her to tag with this other girl, but Devyn was not interested in such things at the moment. All that mattered was Zoe and being with her for the moment. Zoe having wondered off to get her phone where Devyn assumed the photos were.

"I can show you a photo of me with short hair then too if you like." Devyn offered as she moved to follow Zoe a little, standing close but still enough space to let Zoe do her thing. Zoe was going through photos, at one point hesitating for a moment before Zoe said she found one and turned the phone so Devyn could get a good look at it. Leaning in a bit Devyn's green eyes looked over the photo. So Zoe had curly hair, still cute and it was clearly Zoe, a very happy Zoe, but still Zoe. "Very pretty, but I think it’s more so the girl and not the hair that make you beautiful." Devyn said giving Zoe a smile, leaning in to give her girlfriend a quick kiss on the lip. Then moving to go grab something out from under her bed. A photo album, a simple one at that. She grabbed a seat on her bed and patted her lap after she got comfy having her full body on the bed, back against the wall since her bed was pushed up against it. "Come tell Santa what late Christmas gift he can give you." Devyn said with a wink, teasing now, but she did want Zoe to sit in her lap, just so she could have her arms around her girlfriend.

Zoe neck would look somewhat appealing to Devyn at the moment. It looked as pale as ever, recently washed and smelling of Devyn and all, save for one very noticeable mark. Devyn had left the raised pink mark upon Zoe's flesh, and considering how very pale Zoe happened to be, said mark was all the more noticeable. Zoe had been tactfully not mentioning it, though she also didn't make any effort to cover it up.

Right now though, she was getting out the phone and showing it to Devyn. she shifted so that Devyn could get a look, making sure to remain fairly close to Devyn. She had to pause for a moment, taking a little sniff of Devyn then herself, before giggling. "We smell like each other," she said. Zoe had no idea to what extend she actually smelled like her girlfriend right now, even on a more precise level than their simply using the same product to clean one another. The clothing helped, as did the proximity, and, well, let's go with "other things." Things related to hickies and the like.

"I'm always pretty," agreed Zoe, giggling a bit even as she paused to give Devyn another kiss on the lips. She turned to watch Devyn move to dig something out of the bed. Zoe might have let her eyes linger perhaps a little too long upon Devyn's upraised bum, though she'd certainly look her girlfriend in the eyes the moment they became available. Soon she was moving over to sit on the bed, scooting up to get cuddled close to Devyn. She moved to more or less get into Devyn's lap, purposefully squirming a little, eventually letting her hands move to sort of hug her girlfriend from behind. "I'm pretty sure i already got my present from Father Christmas this year," she said, flushing as she smiled up at Devyn. she then moved to look at the offered pictures. "I have more pictures too, you know. I just don't carry an album around with me. Well, I used to," she flushed. She still did, to some extent. Well, a portfolio, which was something like an album... more or less.

That mark. Devyn's mark. Devyn had left it there upon Zoe's soft flesh and it was still there after the hot shower. It did please Devyn to see such a sight and it made her dominant and possessive side that Zoe was hers and hers alone. Even if they had an open relationship, people would have to have not known about Devyn if they were brave enough to even flirt with Zoe. Well Devyn would be able to hold herself back if she found out about someone flirting with Zoe, she give them a glare and growl a little but she would not put them in their place. However, if they made a move on her then that was a different story and Devyn was not at fault for what would happen as a result. Devyn pushed that out of her mind for now, since that had not happened yet and for the sake of said possible other person it was not going to happen at all.

"We do indeed. You smell like me, because you are mine." Devyn responded to Zoe's comment about them smelling the same. Devyn still did chuckle a little bit, but more so at the fact that Zoe giggled and seemed to find it funny or something cute wise as to them both smelling the same. Zoe's comment about how she was always pretty made Devyn smile. It was always nice to hear such confidence in Zoe's voice and that Zoe was actually coming out of her shell a lot. At least she was with Devyn, now she just needed to get like that with other people and Devyn would be less worried about someone thinking they could walk over Zoe. Sure she had a power that kept people from touching her in a way, but she wore so many layers that her power might as well have been useless. If someone really wanted to they could hurt Zoe. Just that though made Devyn feel the small urge to break something but she enjoyed the kiss, took a deep breath and made herself comfortable.

Devyn kept her arms open so Zoe could get really close to her and comfortable, noticing that Zoe was doing a lot more wiggling. "You're not sneaky Miss Wiggles." Devyn said with a smirk on her face, arms going mostly around Zoe as she adjusted the photo album when Zoe seemed like she was comfortable enough. Feeling Zoe so close to her was nice, it was always nice. That odd feeling came back for a moment but Devyn pushed it away and focused on flipping through the photo album which had been a few photos of her as a kid. Some of her and her dad with the kills they had made when they had went out hurting. "Oh? What was that?" Devyn asked with a smirk as she looked at Zoe for a moment, seeing the flush, but there could have been so many things Zoe could of said was her present, and Devyn wanted to know. Something like getting a girlfriend like you. Yeah, Zoe is the romantic type so that fit. Devyn figured in her mind, turning a few more photos before turning to a photo of her with short hair and clearly not knowing that the photo was taken. Squinting at the photo for a moment before remembering who took it. "Are you going to shoe me all of them then too?" Devyn asked as she leaned in to kiss along Zoe's jaw, just lightly an only a few, since she was being a good Devyn.

"Yep, and you're mine," replied Zoe, her voice much more cheery than normal. She wanted to point out that this sort of thing was what people in an exclusive relationship did, but she wasn't going to push that. she was cuddled up in her girlfriend's arms, and they'd just did what amounted to foreplay, at least as far as Zoe was aware of it. Now Devyn's arms pulled Zoe even closer, and Zoe, of course, snuggled back into it, thoroughly enjoying the "safe" physical contact. When told she wasn't sneaky, Zoe responded as maturely as to was be expected: with an outstretched tongue. She did realize this might have been considered flirtatious as well, but that certainly didn't bother Zoe in the slightest. The question though, that made her flush and suddenly become very interested in the photo album.

"Do you have any pictures where you aren't smiling after having killed a poor, defenseless  creature?" she asked, obviously being a little teasing. She reached down and flicked through a few pictures, before realizing that her hands were, in fact, bare. She stared at her fingers for a long time, her hand frozen on the page. Zoe wondered if she should cover those up.

Around this time, Devyn was leaning down and planting kisses, and Zoe moved to nudge her girlfriend away, though doing so affectionately. clearly Zoe still wanted snuggles and the like, and just as clearly she didn't want Devyn to end up all numb and such. "I'll show you as many as I want. But there's lot of poetry written on them, and, well," she bit her lip, "my, um, Ava's in a lot of them too..."

She trailed off, shifting. usually your girlfriend didn't want to see pictures of your ex. Then again, Ava wasn't technically an ex, so there was that...

"Oh am I? You have no problem telling people that you go out with me?" Devyn asked, since she seriously did want to know. Devyn was not the type to just drop, oh hey I have a girlfriend and her name is Zoe. In face Devyn didn't even really drop who her friends. For Devyn you basically had to ask her or the conversation had to just come up in order for you to find out about it. Which was why Zoe had not known about Devyn's best friend who she called Kitty. Devyn was just not the type after all to talk about such things, mostly because she was too busy flirting with the person for it to even be brought up. Still, it was a little cute to think that Zoe was getting possessive over her. Still remember when Zoe had run her hands down Devyn's sides and told her that she was hers. Wonder how long she will be alright with this open relationship. Devyn thought for a small moment, since she did expect that Zoe was going to want Devyn all to herself, well...she might have.

Zoe snuggles back into Devyn and Devyn kept her arms around her girlfriend, who was sticking her tongue out again. Devyn look at it and chomped her teeth, giving Zoe one last warning before she was going to take a nice little nibble on the tongue that kept sticking out. Grabbing it with her hand might have been safer, but less sexy or scary. Using your teeth to do such a thing was sexy or at least scary. Zoe avoided Devyn's question and again Devyn made a mental note to ask again, and she planned on asking soon. Zoe should have known it was always best to just answer Devyn if at least make it clear that she was either uncomfortable with a topic, or was firm and said something along the lines of not wanting to answer the question. Devyn chuckled at that and had to flip farther back into the book. "I do, but a lot of them have people hanging off of me. So parties, night clubs, boyfriends, girlfriends. Oh I remember her." Devyn said as she was flipping thought the photos stopping on a photo with her and a girl in particular, pretty clear in the picture that they were either really close friends or going out.

Devyn noticed Zoe going a bit still, looking at her girlfriend for a moment before reaching out to grab ahold of one of Zoe's wrist, going to lift it up so she could brush her lips along Zoe's finger. Not keeping it there long or keeping a hold on Zoe's hand. Enabling her girlfriend to pull away or stop her if she really wanted to. Devyn just wanted to let her know it was going to be okay, and that Devyn really was going to be good even with just small kisses. "I'll be careful, don’t worry." Devyn whispered in Zoe's ear after she felt the nudge, stopping her from her small kisses along Zoe's jaw. She stop for now, so Zoe would not start to worry or feel uncomfortable and would just deal with just snuggling her girlfriends. Devyn tilted her head at Zoe clearly seeming a little worried or feeling a bit weird about the fact that Ava was going to be in photos with Zoe. Devyn gave a small shrug, since it was not that big of a deal, she basically had shown Zoe photos of exs and such. "I like your poetry and at least I get to put a face to the girl who took your first kiss. Or more so who you gave your first kiss to." Devyn said with a smile, not really feeling jealous at all, oddly enough.

"Why would I?" asked Zoe, looking up at Devyn and frowning. "Unless you're worried about people prejudicing against me for liking girls," Zoe wasn't sure if she really counted as "gay," seeing as most girls didn't do anything for her. She preferred the androgynous look, and she had to admit that she certainly preferred it more in females than in males... She continued though: "I met a very nice girl the other day; she just arrived, and I told her all about you, including how we met," well, with some details removed. Devyn didn't need to know that, just like Elyse hadn't needed to know that Zoe had met her love in a bathroom.

Wouldn't that be a story to tell the kids?

The teeth chomps didn't worry Zoe; she saw it as teasing right back, empty threats and nothing more. Somehow, it didn't surprise her to hear that Deyvn had lots of party pictures. That made about as much sense as why Zoe had a lot of quieter pictures. It wasn't that she'd avoided parties until her power kicked in; she'd attended them, even managed to talk to people. It was just that she'd always preferred the quiet. Now, she didn't have much choice: crowds made her incredibly nervous, what with being able to render people unconscious with the wrong touch. There was a quick pang of jealousy at the thought of Devyn with other males and especially females, but Zoe had known from the start that Devyn had experience. She'd just experienced the benefits of that not an hour ago.

What did make Zoe uncomfortable was when Devyn reached for her wrist. She stiffened, and it was clear that she really wanted to yank her arm away. She could practically feel her power working on Devyn. A promise to be careful only dimmed Zoe's nerves a little, and she took several deep breaths, her eyes flicking to Devyn in a near threatening manner. Lips touched fingers, and Zoe squirmed for other reasons.

The subject changed, Ava returning. Zoe sighed. "Don't worry: she wasn't as handsome as you. More pretty. I loved her enough to overlook that though," she thought about sticking her tongue out, but instead flipped through the pages. "You really don't have a type, do you?" she asked, glancing up at Devyn and arching a brow inquisitively.

Devyn gave a small shrug, since she didn't really know how to answer that. It was just more of a question of Devyn wanting to know what Zoe was saying to other peoples. Nothing harmful she would bet since it was Zoe, but she was still a little but curious about it all. "I'm not, but are you okay with anyone possibly treating you different for going out with another girl?" Devyn asked Zoe, since all that mattered was Zoe's opinion on it. Devyn could care less what people thought about her liking both guys and girls. She liked who she liked and at the end of the say if she was happy then that was all that mattered to her. For Zoe it should have been the same, so if Zoe was telling people that she was going out with Devyn then she must have had no problem at all with people knowing that she was going out with another girl. For almost a small moment Devyn was a bit curious about this person Zoe had met, but she said girl, so Devyn was no longer worried.

It would have been different if Zoe said boy, Devyn only saw guys as a threat to any of her relationships if she was going out with a girl and then girls were a threat if she was going out with a guy. So in other words, Devyn only felt threatened by those who she felt could take her 'position' in a relationship away from her. "You told her about me and how we met in the bathroom? Wow Zoe, didn't think you had it in you." Devyn said in a slight teasing manner as she wanted to just nuzzle into Zoe's neck but held herself back from doing such a thing. Zoe should have been taking Devyn's chomps as warnings, but that was how Devyn worked. Warning first and then action, since going right to action would lead to an even bigger problem. So giving someone a warning first of what possible was to come was the idea situation. Devyn did have a lot of party photos. The album was basically a mix of hunting photos, party photos, a few couple photos, and some here and there of concerts, getting a tattoo, or some sort of memorable experience.

Devyn could feel Zoe stiffen and could easily tell that Zoe just wanted to pull her hand away, but her girlfriend didn’t. Devyn's hand did feel tingle and started to go numb but Devyn still made sure to not hold onto it very long. "Oh, that’s a new look." Devyn said with a smirk, having seen that almost threatening look in Zoe's eyes, but Zoe took several deep breaths, and then squirmed a little after Devyn had brushed her lips on Zoe's finger. Feeling their softness if only for a moment and was tempted to nibble on them, but kept herself under control and release her hold on Zoe's wrist. Zoe making a comment about how Devyn's didn’t have to worry because she was more handsome then Ava, but then Zoe had loved her so that was why she got passed the looks. Well...that did make Devyn feel a little bit odd. Even more so because the love word was brought up again. Devyn just remained silent on that matter and was just going to stay quiet for a little bit but then Zoe asked about Devyn's type.

"Yes and no. I won't just have sex with or date anyone, but my standards for who I have sex with are lower than the ones of people I’ll date." Devyn said and then had to think for a moment to explain her type. "Pretty much older people who like the party scene and are not looking for a relationship right away are pretty much passing for who I'll have sex with. Have to be clean, obviously. For guys, they have to be good looking in a handsome not a baby face cute. For girl hot works best, but cute also works. Both have to be pretty much will to take charge and make it clear that they want me." Devyn said with a small shrug, she basically like forward people who had experience. "As for going out...well pretty much the same rules, apply but more so they have to be good friendship material first." Devyn added, and then could not help but to chuckle, since her standards were kind of low, but she had them...it was just hard to explain them. "I'll pretty much flirt with anyone however. So long as they are at least sixteen plus." Devyn let out a sigh and rested her head back against the wall that was lot of thinking.

"Why?" Devyn asked then after a moment, wondering if there was some big point behind why Zoe asked such a thing. Maybe Devyn gave too many answers, or didn’t really describe it well. She really should have asked why first. Was Zoe worried that she was not Devyn's type. Well...Zoe was not all the forwards and they had not actually had sex with one another yet, so that was two big categories Zoe was out on. However, Zoe was a really good friend and really cute to the point of Devyn seeing it as beautiful and hot at times.

Zoe shrugged, which she knew probably wasn't the most affirmative action she could've taken in response to that question. It was simple though: she didn't care much one way or the other if people hated her for that. They apparently had enough ammunition as it was, so what difference did it make whether or not Zoe added to it? Plus, she was hoping that most people who mattered were willing to look past the whole "she's a lesbian" thing, assuming, of course, that Zoe actually was, which she herself hadn't really figured out yet. She knew this wasn't an experiment or a phase though. Which was why she'd been willing enough to share it with someone else; that had even been almost casual. Sort of "I'm dating someone, and oh yeah, she happens to, well, be a she. Bit odd, huh?" Devyn's comment made Zoe giggle though: "I might have left out some details," she said in response.

Awkwardness involving the touch and Zoe's look. Lips brushed her fingers, which really didn't sooth Zoe's worries any. Oh, it felt good, arguably too good, but it did next to nothing to soothe her nerves. The last thing they needed was for Devyn to start twitching again. Apparently Zoe's comments were enough to make Devyn switch to something else though, that something being Devyn's... type.

Zoe had just meant it as a sort of offhanded, teasing comment, but Devyn had clearly taken it for a more serious comment. Zoe did admit to being somewhat fascinating as her girlfriend began speaking. Older people, into the party scene, the type who made it clear whether they wanted someone or not; the girls were usually hot... relationship had the same qualifications, but with possibilities for friendship needing to be developed first. Didn't surprise Zoe to hear that Devyn flirted with anyone though; she more or less assumed as much, had seen it firsthand a few times. Flirting hardly mattered. If they were married, Zoe still wouldn't have minded Devyn flirting a bit.

Then Devyn finished with a question, one that had Zoe biting her lip. "I had just meant to tease you..." she said. She fidgeted a bit, chewing her lip, wondering if she should. "but, um, I'm not---any of that. I've never had... sex before, and, well, I'm not really hot. Maybe beautiful or cute, but not hot. I don't dress sexy and---" she bit her lip, working it for a bit before moving to look up at Devyn, she knew it was a bad idea to ask why Devyn was with her then. The question really didn't need to be said anyway: it sort of hung there, hovering in the air between them and sort of infecting things.

Zoe gave a simple shrug, which Devyn took it as if that it was not really a big deal to Zoe. This was a good thing after all, since Devyn did not care either, so it worked out. Zoe really should not have cared at all. She was free to like whoever she wanted to, plus Devyn would take care of anyone that gave Zoe an issue. All Zoe had to do was say the words. Say who was bothering her, who was hurting her, and what she wanted from Devyn. Being direct and forward with Devyn was the best way to get things through in her head. Playing games and not saying things was fine if Devyn was playing too, but if you were really trying to get her to understand and believe something, it was best to just say it to her face. Letters and text would not work since she did not fully read or fully responded to them all the time.

"Ah. So you didn't tell her that. Did you tell her about how you let me straddle you in a coffee shop and how we almost got kicked out?" Devyn asked with a sly smirk as her green eyes scanned over her girlfriend for a moment. Devyn did her best to explain everything about her type. Again it was pretty hard to actually think about and just say it. She only thought about her type when she was flirting with someone, just a simple thought. Along the lines of, oh they are my type, or they are not, but only when she was actually talking to them. It was just something she knew in that moment, so she just hoped that understood what she was getting at the very least. Either way, even with people meeting all her standards, nothing lasted and Devyn was not looking for love. She didn't want things to last; she didn't want people to fall in love with her. Devyn's max time being with someone seemed to be four months in totals; Zoe had basically three months left in other words.

"Oh..." Devyn said when Zoe admitted that she was just trying to tease her, but Devyn took it as a real question. Talk about awkward. Devyn thought to herself, feeling very awkward right now. She as just going to stay quite this time but the Zoe was speaking again, basically bringing up how she didn't really meant many of Devyn standards. Zoe didn't really ask why Devyn why she was going out with her, but it was clearly there. Devyn looked away now, not sure how to really just tell Zoe. She could not say because she was looking forward to taking Zoe's innocence away. She could not say that she was going out with her since Zoe had been brave enough to ask her, and that she just said yes out of respect for that bravery. "Well....you are older than me still even if you are a virgin. You were pretty much on the best friend level, so there is that...and you hot from time to time, but you are always very beautiful and cute." Devyn said, and gave her head a scratch and looking away from Zoe still and just decided to leave it at that and hoped that was good enough for Zoe.

Zoe flushed as Devyn continued. She'd nearly forgotten their first date, well, okay, not really the date itself, or Zoe calling Devyn her girlfriend for the first time, and definitely not the glaring barrista girl, but she'd forgotten the more awkward parts of it. She just sank a little more into Devyn instead of offering a real answer though. No reason to humor Devyn any more than she really needed to; Devyn had more than enough information as it was.

That awkward silence would likely have come back when Devyn let out the "oh." That whole answer hanging there, and then Devyn looking away, as if she didn't know fully well that would nearly torture Zoe as much as words. Zoe was tempted to say something just to break the silence and sort of make things better, which she was tempted to do ever so often. Just as Zoe opened her mouth to try, Devyn actually offered something like an explanation. Older, though Zoe wasn't sure by much, and best friends first. That actually surprised Zoe a little: she'd known they had gotten close fast, but best friends? Then stuff about her being beautiful and cute, which Zoe really didn't see as "sexy."

Did she need to be sexy? Was that what it would take to get Devyn to love her? There was a little head scratch and stuff, which did feel affectionate, if not entirely "girlfriendy." Zoe snuggled into Devyn, reminding herself that they had just, well, done something that was most certainly girlfriendy, or loverly, if that worked too.

"Well, you're definitely my type," she insisted, giving Devyn's hand a kiss and snuggling in. she pulled the album up and flipped through some more, half wondering if she couldn't find some pictures of, say, a nude or halfnude Devyn in there. Just for curiosity's sake, of course...

Zoe didn't say anything and just leaned back more into Devyn's body, which Devyn was fully alright with. Feeling what warmth Zoe gave off as well as Zoe's breathing and a little bit of her girlfriend's heartbeat. Even if Zoe smelled a lot like Devyn at the moment, there was still that base scent that belonged to Zoe, and having Zoe so close allowed her to smell it easily. The silence was there while Devyn thought, looking away, but not moving from where she was. An arm still held close around Zoe, while the other one remained on the photo album. Words had to be chosen carefully and it seemed like she did pick the right ones to say. Even if Zoe did not think of them as best friends, Devyn did. Some people you got lucky and you bonded pretty quickly and Devyn was sure she says they were best friends if someone asked her and if they were not currently dating.

By the whole sexy thing, Zoe had sexy moment or hot moment if you will in Devyn's mind. When Zoe would brave up and make a move, even that whole getting undressed while Devyn watched her fell into the hot category. Actions as well as appearance worked just as well for Devyn and then again personality played an important role as well. Zoe did not need to be sexy for Devyn to love her; really in Devyn’s mind there was nothing someone could do at this point to get her to feel such things back. Even if Zoe did have ways of making her feel a little odd from time to time, especially tonight. Zoe snuggles more into Devyn, causing Devyn to move both her arms around Zoe and keep her in that close position against her body. "That type being me being able to pass for a boy, protective, aggressive, and oh so dangerous" Devyn asked, moving so she could whisper in Zoe's ear. "You like bad boys Zoe? Or more so bad girls." Devyn whispered with a smirk, watching Zoe flip more through the photos, quickly reaching down to stop Zoe from turning anymore when she was getting towards the back.

"I don't think you innocent eyes could handle the photos after this point." Devyn pointed out to her girlfriend. Not knowing if Zoe had watched her in the shower or not, but still the photos later on the in book where with Devyn in a little less clothing. Pictures people from when she was in a relationship with someone people who apparently liked to get a photo of someone sleeping or doing a little bit of foreplay. Devyn didn't mind too much, well the sleeping ones she did, because she wanted to know that people had that sort of photo of her. Devyn did however turn one page to show Zoe a photo of when she was basically modeling some male underwear, not professional, but from the very dangerous and suspicious job people would offer. Luckily Devyn knew the guy that had been taking such photos so agreed to take a few and he gave her a copy of her favorite one. "I don't really like that background. What does you photographic eye think. Did he take a good photo of me?" Devyn asked as she pointed to the photo.
